Opinions de Craftsman Bar Anaheim
We only visited the bar. No food. Drinks were great. I had the Watermelon-Cucumber Collins which was refreshing and the Wayfinder which was a little tart from the grapefruit flavors. Both perfect. My husband had a craft beer on tap which he enjoyed. Atmosphere was great and sitting outside at a bar in October was a treat coming from the Northeast.
A hidden gem! The staff are so friendly and the food is always phenomenal! On some occasions they have amazing live music by amazing artists. From Lunch to Dinner this is always a great spot for solid portion and big flavors! 10/10 Highly suggested: Pizza, Burgers, Salads & NACHOS!
Very good flavor, I think the nachos is the biggest plate for a good price and I usually eat chicken but if you ask for meat is better
Stayed at the Grand Californian for four days and ate here quite a few times. If you order from the pool they only offer a small 9” for $22 but if actually go to the quick service it’s a 14” for $27. The charcuterie pizza was my favorite thing on the menu. The carne asada quesadilla was meh and not worth the $25 price tag imo. Nachos weren’t anything special.
Finally I got the chance to try the famous Charcuterie Pizza. Has premium pepperoni, prosciutto, sausage, arugula l, fire-roasted tomatoes, and house cheese blend. It was really delicious! I definitely recommend it! The service was quick, and they brought the pizza to your table even though it's not a table service place. Nice and quiet atmosphere, with quite some places to sit inside and outside.
This was an amazing place to stop in during our Disney day when it was super hot and pretty crowded in the parks. We sat in the a/c and enjoyed some delicious nachos in a quieter environment for almost an hour. I had never been in there before, and they had such a variety of food items to purchase as well as the regular quick service type stuff. We'll be stopping in here again!
Five stars because they actually have coffee in the morning. One star for “experience” for the resort. This place opens at 6 AM. It’s in a really dark corner at the edge of the resort. Back by the furthest side of the pool. Also, The first place you can get coffee at the Disneyland resort hotel and spa. This “resort” sucks because of this….. They offer a very loud Keurig coffee machine in the room. So if you want a cup of coffee at 5 AM while your family is sleeping the only place you can go is here, but they don’t open until 6 AM. So much for being a resort. Resorts actually are inclusive and offer you things , especially simple things like coffee whenever you want it.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Craftsman Bar at Disneyland's Grand Californian Hotel, and I must say, it was an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment we stepped foot into the bar, we were greeted with warm smiles and excellent service. Let's start with the food. We ordered the shredded beef nachos and the Margherita pizza, and both dishes were simply outstanding. The shredded beef nachos were loaded with flavorful beef, perfectly melted cheese, and a delightful combination of toppings. Each bite was a burst of deliciousness, and we couldn't get enough. As for the Margherita pizza, it was a true culinary delight. The crust was thin and crispy, the tomato sauce was tangy and flavorful, and the mozzarella cheese was perfectly melted and gooey. It was a simple yet satisfying dish that left us craving for more. Now, let me take a moment to commend our waiter, Justin. He provided us with exceptional service throughout our dining experience. From his friendly and welcoming demeanor to his attentiveness to our needs, Justin truly went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. He was knowledgeable about the menu, offered great recommendations, and ensured that we had a seamless dining experience. His professionalism and genuine care for his guests were truly commendable. The Craftsman Bar itself had a charming and cozy atmosphere. The rustic decor and comfortable seating created a welcoming ambiance, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal. The staff, including Justin, was attentive and friendly, further enhancing our overall dining experience. I highly recommend visiting this establishment, and if you're lucky, you might have the pleasure of being served by Justin, who will undoubtedly make your experience even more enjoyable. It's a five-star experience all around!
We traveled here for December. It was lots of fun. Some of the best food we had on our trip this time around! Finally getting around to making a review! What amazing hotel! I would recommend staying here as well, especially for the holidays and Christmas!!!!
GCH Craftsman Grill offers a quick and convenient spot to grab baked goods, snacks, drinks, hot meals, and more. From take-out to dine-in, they're open from morning through late night. Entrance for most visitors (without a hotel reservation) is from Downtown Disney and through the Grand California Hotel lobby. I love coming here to try out seasonal items or enjoy some of the regular menu items. There are plenty of drink options, including alcoholic beverages. A few of my current menu favorites are the breakfast burrito, American breakfast, Angus burger, pizzas, and Hot Dog of the Month. The HOTM for Sept 2025 is the Cheeseburger Dog with fries. The combination of the cheeseburger and hot dog worked surprisingly well. The fries were coated, hot, and crispy. Overall, the meal was hearty and filling. Grab a few extra napkins, since it is a little messy. The dining areas are generally clean and pleasant, featuring both Indoor (with AC) and patio tables just outside. You may occasionally encounter loud children and families, as it's located in a Disney hotel. The service has been friendly, and the food is served promptly and brought to your table. The staff also helps clear the used plates or you can bus yourself.
The quality of the food at this breakfast restaurant is excellent, everything was fresh and well prepared. The service was amazing, with attentive and courteous staff. A highly recommended experience to start the day at Disney.
Highly reccomend the frittata, great place to just get away and relax with little to no noise, currently a little bit of roofing construction going on so expect a little noise, other than that tj was my server she was wonderful, and the vibes were immaculate
Really good food for a “snack bar”. We were looking for a quick bite to eat before heading to the room and Downtown Disney isn’t very quick. I was concerned that it was is billed as a snack bar, expecting a refrigerator full of cold sandwiches and a steam table full of old food. They did have chips and such on display but all of the menu items were made to order. We ordered, got our drinks and sat down for 5 or 10 minutes and they brought our food. Everything was hot and fresh. The portions were good and the service was as friendly as you expect from Disney. I saw a couple sharing the nachos and they were huge.
Enjoyed a relaxing lazy lunch at the Grand Californian Hotel Craftsman Grill after 3 solid days at the parks. The grounds are beautifully decorated with manicured landscape and poolside dining. We enjoyed our meal under the umbrellas which perfectly shaded us while allowing us to enjoy the sunshine. Our waiter was attentive, friendly and our food was good. I had a steak topped salad and my son had the massive pork nachos. Only thing we regretted was removing the jalapeños and cilantro. I would definitely go back again.
This is my second time dining at this place, and I'm so glad I went back! Had a great experience the first time and had just as great an experience the second time around. The food is delicious 😋 and I loved having a view of the pool area. There was an artist signing/playing guitar, which added to all of the nice summer vibes. Definitely go check out out!
Pool side is always nice, especially in Southern California. We have dined many times here and it is ne of the best in the Disneyland Resort. I had the poke salad, a mix of salmon and tuna with a mix of lettuce and rice. Delicious. We shared the steak salad, which was not rna,y really good, but was just ok at this time. My partner had the charcuterie pizza. Continually amazing.
Beautiful and tasty does not do this place justice. Expensive is quite accurate, yes, but they pack in that food, and it's pretty good quality materials! Staff are wonderful, but a definite shout out to Eric behind the bar! The man cracks jokes, and the just brightens up everyone's day! Best part of it all, is after you're done eating, you can go relax at the pool. Plus, they have musical performances in the evening while you enjoy your meal.
My family had dinner here on the first night of our stay. We didn't have reservations, but we were sat in under 30 minutes. The service was very attentive and helpful with the menu. Food was really great. My wife had the vegetarian meatballs, and my son had the best grilled cheese I've ever tasted. Can't wait to come back.
The food here is really tasty! The flavors were amazing. Jovita ordered a Poke Bowl and I ordered the Wagyu Gouda Burger with fries. For our beverages, she had a Passion Fruit Mojito, I had an Orange Wheat Beer and a Hacienda Level Strawberry Margarita. We definitely got our fill.
We loved eating here instead of the park. The food was delicious, good serving sizes, and was able to take a break from the crowds! Had tje margherita pizza and waygu burger. Both were fantastic. The pizza can definitely be split between 2.
My husband and I came here on our way into the parks. It’s a beautiful place for lunch. My husband got the poke bowl and I got the burger, both were great, but I think we both enjoyed the burger more. I have to add that I got no cheese and the sauces on the side so I could check to see if I wanted it or not. The fries definitely could use some improvement (they are flat large wedges and aren’t very crispy,) but they weren’t bad. Only thing I’d add The cocktails were so refreshing and well made. Also, have to add that the staff was kind, helpful, and attentive! We are magic key holders so we are at the parks often, and we definitely will be frequenting this place now.

Andy was our server!!! So personable and made great recommendations ✨️ 🙌🏽😋 highly recommend for a great (fresh) meal in a very relaxing setting!!!
We had a fantastic lunch at the craftsman Grill. The portions were much larger than expected! Most entrées could probably feed two people. The moist chicken wings were delicious with a tiny bit of spice. The kids hamburgers however we’re very much on the small side. My wife’s nachos could probably feed three people! Great atmosphere and very good quality food.

Breakfast time. The staff recommended their breakfast burrito. I went with the online recommendations for the biscuit french toast. So why 4 stars? Split the difference down the middle. Was rather disappointed in the biscuit french toast. Texture and taste were just off. I hate when my bananas are not fully caramelized and this was the case so I went back and ordered the breakfast burrito. It was 5 star delicious... Should have listened to the staff rather than the blogs. Trust me order the breakfast burrito. Best quality and value for 13 dollars spent.
The double baked nachos are big enough for a family of 10. Nice quiet place to take a break from the parks. People watching the pool is kind of a fun experience as well. You do have to go back through security to get back into the park. Some nights they have a duo who provide live music but not overly loud.
Pretty high quality for a quick service place. However, we had originally sat down at the full service version of the same place, near the pool (Craftsman Bar) and gave up when the service was very slow (10 min and had not taken drink orders). The Craftsman Grill has the same menu at about $5 less per dish and was very tasty. You order, find a table, and they bring it over to you. A bit higher cost, but the quality made it worth it. Huge nachos, massive quesadilla with loads of cheese and marinated meats.
Is it a secret? our party was seated in the bar/pool outdoor area within 10 minutes, a pleasent wait time surprise for disney lunch dining on a Saturday. Had to take a peek into the indoor area located just beyond an iron gate... and the place was EMPTY... is this food option a secret?!? I think so... but probably not for long.
Hotel restaurant we ate at,during a Disney California visit. It is right by the pool which is nice but also strange (having dinner while people are swimming:-). The quesadilla was really good, and so were the pizza margarita and Wagyu burger. The kids meals were a bit ridiculous. Tiny hamburger which costs more (10usd) than any kids meal we had this week (6-7usd). It was basically a slider. My son started laughing when he saw it..
Had the charcuterie pizza. It is pretty good bar food. The pizza is definitely big enough for two. Drinks were good as well. It is a nice setting to sit at night because the pool lighting adds to the atmosphere. All of the staff was very pleasant.
We made reservations two weeks in advance and was able to get a spot at 2:30 PM. When we arrived, check in went smoothly, and we were seated promptly within five minutes by the pool area. Our server was excellent but the service was slower than we expected since it was not very busy. Took about 30 minutes before food came. We ordered a piña colada (above average), mushroom and impossible meat pizza (so flavorful and delicious) and salmon salad (above average). We plan on coming back to get the same pizza but will most likely try another drink and salad.
I would want to give a five stars but we only had the Orange Vanilla Shake, which was SUPER tasty! The wafers in them are really good too and the atmosphere was really good too. I’m hoping to come back and something different!

The big selling point here is location. Depending upon the time of day and year, this location can be far quieter and more manageable than the food locations all around it because it is tucked back into a dead-end walkway in Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, right next to Disney California Adventure theme park. Because it is the snack bar for the hotel pool, it does get busy during summer days. However, the rest of the time, it can be a great spot to get away from the nearby crowds for a quick bite to eat. They seem to be known for their nachos, which are definitely better than most snack bar nachos.
I did a few solo days at Disneyland and DCA and decided to give this place a try for breakfast. It was a nice breakfast from the parks as it was a warmer morning. The sun was out and I really looked forward to sitting by the pool and having breakfast. But I will say I was a little disappointed in the service and the food. The atmosphere was amazing. The pool view was amazing. I had high hopes for the French toast but was very disappointed in it. They were not busy and service was difficult to get. Wasn’t what I expected for California Hotel restaurant at Disneyland. The fresh fruit that came with the French toast looked good but was really flavorless. I’d like to think I just caught them at a bad time, but I was pretty disappointed in the whole experience.

I ordered the Wagyu Gouda Burger with no modifications. Perhaps it is my fault in ordering this, because I was wanting to indulge (rarely as it is) in a good cheeseburger, but I found out later that this is not your typical cheeseburger. This restaurant used to have delicious cheeseburgers (been coming to this resort for a good 17 years) and I didn’t think twice about ordering a burger again. To be fair, I was rushing and didn’t read all the details of the ingredients. If I had, I would have asked for modifications. When I took my first bite, it had an odd flavor - sort of like dishwashing liquid (not that I’ve consumed that, but I can imagine by the smell). It had a sweetness that I simply didn’t desire in a “cheeseburger”. I wondered if it was the pickles, as they were placed on TOP of the bun, to be added once served. They were in fact, sweet pickles. I took them out. The flavor I didn’t love remained. After further inspection of the ingredients, I believe that flavor must have been from the “Preserved Lemon Aioli”. And so I had found the dishwashing liquid taste - lemon! I have never put lemon on my cheeseburger, so it was definitely new to me. The fries were new to me as well, being flat, almost like potato chips, but still fries. They were okay for me. I usually order the nachos when I come here and they have nearly always been delicious. I will not be ordering the burger again. I will stick to the nachos or the Avocado Panzanella, which I had last time. It was delicious, although I did leave the sourdough bread croutons mostly behind. Bottom line - if you or your family are hoping for a typical cheeseburger, even an upscale one, be advised that that it may be unlike anything else you’ve had. I will stick to cheeseburgers without lemon - but to each their own!
Pros: layout, ambiance, live music, cocktails Cons: wait time, wait time, price, wait time Although this place has excellent decor, excellent vibe, excellent drinks, pretty good food, and a live band ( I was here on a Thursday night about 830 ish) as with anything Disney, be prepared to wait. Be prepared to wait a long time. My party of 5 initially wanted to sit at the outside patio bar. We checked in to see how long the wait was; per the hostess: 30-45 min. So we decided to get something quicker and sit down at the patio at the Craftsman Grill. (Craftsman Grill and Craftsman Bar are 2 separate entities). After sitting at Craftsman Grill, my wife decided that she wanted something from the Craftsman Bar (churro Sundae), plus I wanted to check the drinks. Ordered a sundae and was told about 10 min. I couldn't believe what I heard. This is Disney after all. There is, and will always be a long wait for everything. 30 min later after one cocktail and a beer, the sundae arrives. A sad chewy churro, topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, whip cream, some chocolate drizzle and sprinkles. Beforehand we ordered beef nachos ($11.49), chicken nachos($11.49), chicken kabobs($$) tasted like they were pre cooked and heat lamped, poke "bowl" ($$) (I feel, the saddest plate, bowl of them all), salmon was the lowest, cheapest sushi grade available. If not the case, the chef cook butchered if incorrectly. Well, cheers!
We ordered the Lobster Alfredo Pasta. $34 each. It is way too expensive. There is very little pasta served in a small bowl, with a very very little amount of lobster. I am not exagerrating when I say very little amount of lobster. It was probably the size of a pinkie. The only reason we came here were because all the dinner places inside the park were booked or full. The pasta was tasty but the price cannot be justified given the tiny portion size.

So for this eatery, I recommend the grab and go pastries! The made to order breakfast was cold even the sunny side up eggs! The sausage links were tough and after the first couple of bites I gave up. The only item that was good was the thick cut bacon. The potatoes were undercooked and cold. The $45 for breakfast was not well spent! No repeats!
If you don’t mind the extreme wait to be seated even though you have a reservation and to get your food then this is the place for you. Waited an hour after ordering to get our food. Food was good but service was awful and wait times were ridiculous even for Disneyland.
So we selected GCH because of these reviews and it was a mistake. Our food took over 35 minutes to arrive. We had two salads, a poke bowl and a burger. My burger was raw and the fries were cold and stiff. The manager told us of some kitchen issues he said the fridge went out. The server said the “stove” went out. So who knows what the problem really was. Point is there was a problem. Attempts were made to remedy but damage was done. I had higher expectations of Disneyland resort restaurants.
