Phenomenal food served in larger portions. Well worth the price. I certainly wish that I was in town more frequently so I could try the rest of the menu. While the braised beef was amazing, the tremendous fries made me very curious about their varieties of poutine. Definitely check it out if you're around the Packing District!
Birria poutine = absolutely mind-blowing! One of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Green juice was delicious and refreshing. Loved their homemade dipping sauces; we tried the horseradish, secret sauce, spicy garlic, and habanero pineapple ketchup. Come hungry and you will leave in the best food coma of your life.
Local counter-serve spot with creative poutines and sandwiches. They’re still operating during covid for takeout and delivery. Came here on a Sunday around noon and there wasn’t a line. You order at the counter and they’ll take your phone number so that they can text you when your order is ready. The food was ready in less than 10 min. Credit cards are accepted. There’s a small dining area (currently closed due to covid) or you can eat outdoors. We got two orders of poutine - one classic, the other braised beef. Each serving is good for 1-2 people. The classic is $8 and comes with gravy, cheese curds, and a Louisiana hot sauce on the side (I’d recommend dipping your fries for a little acidity). Parsley is included. The braised beef has the same gravy and cheese curds, along with beef, mushrooms, and pickled red onions. There was a more generous amount of gravy and cheese curds in the latter. Overall, a good spot to enjoy some poutine when you’re in the Anaheim Packing District.
What a wonderful experience! For meat and fries lover like myself, this restaurant was excellent! Many options to choose from! I ordered the country fries chicken poutine and loved it! The fries were crispy, the chickens were seasoned and fried perfectly, and the gravy was very tasty. The combination of all these ingredients made for a tasty food, especially since they give you so much of it. It is something for everyone to experience and enjoy.
The Kroft is located on the first floor of Anaheim Packing House, which is a go-to destination for those in pursuit of great comfort food. 100% HANDKROFTED Homestyle comfort food…The HANDKROFTED PORCHETTA sandwich has Pork Belly, Loin, Cracklings, Salsa Verde, Arugula, Caramelized Onions on a toasted, buttered Ciabatta. The Ciabatta could have been more toasted and it had a little bit too much butter. Each bite is full of juicy goodness! The packing house gets very crowded so parking can be challenging here. Service could have been more helpful.
Had the leftovers poutine....turkey, dressing, gravy and extra cranberry sauce. Absolutely delicious! I'd order it over and over again. We ate upstairs...nice place to hang out.
We are visiting from Washington Estate 🏡 and the hamburgers are so delicious 🤤 we also ordered chicken nuggets and French fries and they were fantastic 😍. The guys were so kind and friendly! We will come back soon for sure!
We were on vacation down in Anaheim. Heard from some friends that we should try out the Packing District. Hit up the Kroft and I got the Smash cheeseburger. One of the best I’ve ever had in my life! Definitely worth a try. And I will be going back to try other stuff here. Highly recommend this place!
Country fried chicken poutine was fantastic. Food was made to order and was a large portion of fries with lots of chicken, bacon bits and cheese curds. Fried cheese curds were a nice side too. Also free refills on soda. Staff was helpful and nice.
Located inside the amazing packing district. They have a variety of yummy options. I got one of their burgers and it very juicy. They have a few tables but there are other places where you can sit and enjoy your meal.
The Chicken Katsu Curry was sone of the best things I've ever eaten. The sauce has the right hotness, and the chicken was super tender in the inside, and crunchy on the outside. The Porcheta sandwich was good. Honestly, it was not a fair fight after the fries.
We stopped by The Kroft at the Anaheim Packing House and it did not disappoint. I had the Cubano and it was one of the best I've had. Crispy, cheesy, and packed with flavor in every bite. My husband ordered the French Dip and was equally impressed. The sandwiches were next level, and the mac and cheese on the side was the perfect comfort food bonus. We paired everything with a cold beer and enjoyed every second of our meal. This place knows how to do comfort food right.
Wow, the loaded fries here are 🔥. Well worth the price, it's just.. a lot of food. The burger was pretty good too but a little too saucy for me.
Stopped for lunch before heading home from a mini vacation in the San Diego area. My son and I are definitely carnivores so this place had our name all over it. The Kroft has excellent reviews and has garnered local awards, and we can confirm both are extremely well deserved. This place is like a fusion of Filipino, Mexican, and American food. Pictured are a pair of sandwiches we ordered, not pictured but also ordered was Philly cheese loaded fries, and some unique egg rolls (cheeseburger and birria). Everything was fantastic, but out the egg roll selections we liked the cheeseburger ones the best and feel like they are a must try.
We really enjoyed stopping by on our vacation in Anaheim! I got the Braised Beef Poutine, and it was so good! The fries were crispy, even under the gravy, and the pickled onions were the perfect flavor to add some acidity to the meal! My mom got the Birria Sandwich Dip and although it looked SO good, it was way too spicy for either of us to eat. If you like spice and birria tacos, that's the one for you!
Great food! Very chill atmosphere! I had the Poutine fries, braised beef sandwich, cheeseburger rolls and chicken & fries. The braised beef sandwich was good but a little dry, but overall everything was really tasty! Just be prepared to wait for your food when they’re busy! I definitely RECOMMEND!
Went to The Kroft today and had their rotisserie beef French dip sandwich with carmelized onions, horseradish mayo and my son had their Country Fried Chicken sandwich!! Both were fresh and delicious, the staff were very friendly and the food was timely! Would easily come back to try other menu items!!
This place is the Valhalla of comfort food. There are multiple variations on Canada's beloved poutine. The portions are very generous and very easy to share with a large party. All of my orders came out picture perfect and tasted even better than they looked! Will definitely be back for more.
The Kroft, nestled within the bustling Anaheim Packing House, has rapidly become a go-to destination for those in pursuit of great comfort food with a twist. Among the star attractions of their menu are the Wagyu Smash Fries, Cheese Steak Sandwich, and Smash Cheeseburgers, each of which manages to elevate traditional American cuisine to new heights. The Wagyu Smash Fries are nothing short of a symphony of taste. It combines the richness of 2 Wagyu beef patties, grilled onions, American cheese, diced pickles, and secret sauce with the crispy, golden texture of perfectly cooked fries. A must-try for any visitor. Meanwhile, the Cheese Steak Sandwich is a testament to The Kroft's commitment to quality and flavor. Tender slices of rotisserie beef, garlic mayo, grilled onions, swiss cheese, and a soft potato roll come together in a symphony of flavors that pays homage to the classic Philadelphia cheesesteak, with a unique twist that sets it apart. A visit to The Kroft is not just a meal; it's an experience that leaves you longing for your next visit. Come check it out!
Loved the blueberry lemonade, wagyu fries, birria egg rolls ànd hot Cheetos Mac n cheese (the last two, half-price during happy hour). Will have to return.
If you’re lucky enough to be within driving distance of the Anaheim Packing District make the trip. It’s a conglomeration of small eateries and cool little shops that are local owned and operated. We went here specifically to eat at The Kroft. I’ve been following their IG for years and finally made the journey. The kids were especially excited because our two kids really wanted to try poutine that’s all they’ve been talking about so when i suggested the kroft they were all on board. Just a word of warning parking is challenging here. Most of it will be on street parking and you’ll get to walk up an appetite or walk off your meal. We ordered the following: Son and daughter ordered: classic poutine fries Daughter 2: chicken sandwich Wife: tikka fries, mac n cheese(they were out of the flaming hot mnc sadly) brussle sprouts Me: i was wavering between the porchetta (best selling menu item btw) and the wagyu double smashed burger. I opted for the burger but want to try the porchetta next time. Everything looked and tasted amazing. Love the sweet tang of the Brussels sprouts and my burger was amazing. Really liked their pickles they use as well. Prices are reasonable to feed this party of 5 and that’s with drink orders. Highly recommend you try this place they’ve been around for years so they’re doing something right!

I met up with a friend at Packing House while visiting Anaheim. We walked around for a bit to browse the different food options available - since it was a weekday during the day, it wasn't busy and we were able to take our time. I ended up circling back to The Kroft because their sign caught my attention. French dip? Yes please! We ordered our food to-go and grabbed a table closer to the center of the Packing House, since The Kroft is tucked away downstairs and feels a bit darker being farther from the windows. I ordered just the sandwich with no sides, plus a drink, and it ended up being a good amount of food for me. The sandwich (and dip) itself was on the richer, heavier side, but was incredibly tasty and satisfying. I would definitely want to try to come back the next time I am in the area.

This is inside Anaheim packing district, downstairs to the left! They have seating which is great because it’s usually packed. We got the porchetta which was pretty good. Lots of flavor that balanced out very well. Also got the chili cheese fries poutine. Not enough chili but the fries were crispy and delish! A bit salty in my opinion but was still good to pair with my sandwich! Everything is in to go boxes and is very convenient to take to go!
Lot of poutine options on the menu. Was tempted to buy multiple to try it out. They give a lot of fries and maybe 5 like pieces of chicken. We got tired of eating it after a while since it's pretty much 80% fries so I'd recommend splitting it with 3 people or something unless you're a big french fries fan. Will definitely try out the other options whenever I stop by there again
We went to the Anaheim Packing District and went foraging for dinner. If you go as a group the first step is to secure seating then people go look for food. My brother and I went to the Kraft. He had the chicken fried poutine I had the chili cheese and bacon baked potatoes. I did not taste my brother’s food but I had to stop him from shoveling long enough to snap a picture. My potato was substantial and loaded with unhealthy goodness and I loved every bite. Ginger ale on tap with refills what more can you ask for yum!
The Kroft is located inside the Anaheim Packing District. They are popular for good reason - their food is delicious! I’ve ordered their Braised Beef Poutine and, although much different from my first poutine in Eastern Canada, I enjoyed the modern American take of this classic French-Canadian recipe!
got the beef brisket sandwich and chicken fries - the sandwich was so good but the chicken in the fries were a bit cold? overall still good though, great service and loved the bread on the sandwich
This restaurant is mostly hamburgers and loaded fries. They did have chicken sandwiches, drinks and other side items to choose from. We ordered the basic cheeseburgers and some fries. Don’t let the two patties scare you off because the patties are very thin but are bigger than the bun. The cheeseburger itself is pretty basic with cheese, pickles and some condiments with a very soft bun; however, it was quite tasty and actually filling. The fries were okay but definitely needed seasoning. I think we’ll try the loaded fries next time and maybe the cucumber lemonade? The delivery service was also arrived on time which was a plus cuz our food was still a good temperature and not cold.
Wagyu spicy burger and the flavored French fries: garlic and the spicy are very good
Decent food and good vibes! The menu is quite unique, but is filled with delicious options. If you’re not accustomed to the menu items, this might not be the place for you. I’ve never even heard of most of the items, but wanted to try everything. The prices are probably a bit higher than expected, but they definitely reflect the portions given. I waited for about 10-15 minutes, but didn’t mind considering how good my sandwich was. * Kroft Fried Chicken Sandwich: 9/10 - really tasty and decent sized portion The parking lot gets busy quite easily so you might have to park on the street. The staff was really friendly and the restaurant has an urban atmosphere. We’ll definitely be stopping by to try all of the other delicious options! Highly recommend giving them a try!
With the advent of so many smash burger place you don't ever need to go to a mediocre one, especially in LA. With that being said, the double wagyu smash burger here was not bad, a 7/10. The fries and cheese curds were also about a 7/10. If you're at the packing district and are craving a burger, this would be your choice.
The Kroft was another restaurant I visited during my trip. At the time they had a limited time special the Wagyu Spicy Jack burger. Overall the burger was quite good. The meat was soft and savory and the burger ingredients complemented it well. Before I knew it the burger was gone and I was quite satisfied with my meal. Only downside to the whole experience was not knowing where any of the napkins were located. Luckily the meal was not a messy experience.

Update 8/17/22 Tried it again today and unfortunately, it was pure mush and just tasted so off. As the pics display, it looked like dog food. I asked for a remake and it was worse the second time which I didn’t think could be possible. So, this time it was a 1 star. The fries were soggy with a lot of blackened parts but not fully cooked or crispy. The curds and chicken were unfortunately soggy as well and just didn’t taste right… Oh my, oh my! Who thought to make a chicken parmesan poutine?! And how does it taste that incredible? This is not just a snack or appetizer - it’s a full on meal for 2 and it’s incredible! You have perfectly crispy yet soft fries (it feels wrong even calling them that) mixed with deliciously fried chicken, topped with addictive fried cheese curds, and a sauce, oh the sauce, it reminds me of my dad’s homemade marinara - no one makes it like him and yet, it took me back. It’s exotic and so spot on with the chicken and potatoes. Everything complimented each other and pictures do not do this justice. We ate all of it and loved every bite. Definitely go. :)
French dip sandwich was actually really good. The Chicken Parm poutine was a lazy recipe. It was cut up pieces of fried chicken, no mozzarella and some store bought marinara poured on some fries. It had 4 pieces of fried cheese. That's not a poutine. The fries were not fresh, it actually had a few fries that looked like the had fallen out of the basket and cooked for a few hours in the fryer. Chicken had bones in it. Over pretty bad showing. I know how hard it is to staff a restaurant right now but the staff that was on looked as if they could careless and were not the least bit friendly. We love coming to the packing house every year when we visit LA. Will not be stopping in the Kroft again.
It was my first time in the Anaheim Packing house and I was being guided by a local friend of mine. She really recommended The Kroft, so I decided to stop by and try the food and drinks. I ordered a wagyu smash burger, the Braised Beef Poutine fries, and a mango cart. The Wagyu Smash burger was terrible and reminiscent of a McDonalds burger, had little to no flavor and was extremely disappointed that the cheese of choice was KRAFT cheese….. seriously. The cheese was an absolute joke and ruined the burger. The Braised Beef fries were good, but definitely lacking in cheese curds. I had about 5-6 pieces of cheese curds and was disappointed. I didn’t particularly like how soggy the fries were with the broth of the Braised Beef, but that was more my fault for not asking for the Braised Beef on the side. Normally I wouldn’t leave a review for a beer as common as a Mango cart, but this beer had a rotting fruit taste/smell. I’m aware alcohol is fermented and so is the fruit but I’ve never experienced the rotting fruit smell/taste. Service can be better, when I approached the the register the young man was talking friendly banter with a cook in the back paying no attention to the front. A young lady with her headphone in her ear stood by the food window, wasn’t sure if she was an expo or knew how to work the front but she just stared at us. He brought us our food and drinks and was nice during the whole interaction.

I ordered the braised beef sandwich and the meat was very dry and tough. The sandwich lacked any type of sauce and I needed to drench it with ketchup to not choke on it. The fries and spicy garlic were delicious tho. It’s frustrating spending close to $15 for a sandwich in this economy and receiving such a poor excuse of a sandwich.
Worst Cubano I've ever had. The pulled pork was tough and not shredding apart like it should. Probably wasn't slow cooked long enough. The sandwich smelt funky and was very underseasoned. Waste of $14 bucks.
