A family-run restaurant serving traditional home-style cooking. I particularly recommend their stews, especially the red beans, as well as their meat dishes and larger portions. The latter are especially good for families with children. They offer a daily set menu with a wide variety of dishes to choose from and excellent value for money. It's also conveniently located near the Hoz de Anero sports complex, where children can enjoy the facilities after lunch while adults relax in the café. Highly recommended.

Excellent traditional dishes from Cantabria, like sardinas and locally grown, fabulous tomatoes. You have to try the Verdiñas with almejas and gambas. The cake with stout was really good.

I've been visiting this restaurant for the lat 5 years for at least twice a year. I'm going good quality, very nice staff, absolutely recomandable. Worth to have a walk through the surroundings as there are impressive old mansions to be admired. In the restaurant try the platos de cuchara, beans dishes, it's famous for these.

Una vez más hemos ido a comer a este restaurante. El único" pero"es el tema del aparcamiento. Creo que van a tener que buscar una solución porque es imposible aparcar. Por lo demás, fantástico todo.…

Comida casera deliciosa, personal amable. Las raciones un poco justas..pedí de segundo bacalao, me esperaba hecho de otra manera pero estaba rebozado y al quitar el rebozado la cantidad de bacalao era bastante escasa, para un menú de fin de semana, entre el segundo plato y el postre tardaron en atendernos más de media hora, tuvimos que pedirle a la camarera , ya que pasaba una y otra vez por nuestro lado y no se percataba igual fue un despiste. Eso sí, la tarta de queso riquísima y buena ración .

Un restaurante con una carta de platos de elaboración casera. Los platos son servidos con una cantidad correcta y buena presentación. Las legumbres son las que con una mayor cantidad de ración se sirven y en bol grande a repetir si se desea. Los postres caseros muy ricos y buena cantidad. Una carta de vinos variada Buenas atención al cliente. Un restaurante r correcto para ir a comer sin riesgo a qué no te guste, pero tampoco esperes maravillas.

Pleasant and well-appointed place. The food is undoubtedly the best. The portions are generous, and the quality of the chickpeas with cod and beans is top-notch. At first, they took a while to offer us the menu; no one approached, and they passed us by several times, like 15 minutes. But, well, they later gave you everything fairly quickly, and each employee treated you correctly and politely, so we won't take it into account. €17 for a Thursday menu, which seems about right. One slightly strange thing is that all diners at the same table have to order the same thing (either a la carte or a la carte). It didn't affect us because we were going for the fixed menu. I'll be back; it's a highly recommended place.

Para entre semana el menú del día que serán 12€ calidad precio bien . Para finde de semana que son 24€ no lo recomiendo . El arroz estaba duro el “cachopo” es mas un san jacobo ,garbanzos sosos lo único bueno la tarta de queso , la calidad precio no esta visible para el precio que es los fines de semana. El servicio le doy 3 estrellas . El camarero nos atendió muy bien . Pero otras personas de allí insistían en que pidiéramos rápido , estábamos dentro del horario de la reserva y comidas, pero la prisa abundaba

This place was a huge disappointment. To begin with, there were four of us, and we couldn't have two people order from the set menu and the others from à la carte. The waiter was very unprofessional. The food—we chose verdinas (green beans) with clams and prawns—was very good but served lukewarm, and the desserts weren't very good and were poorly presented.

Honestly, I expected more. For the price of the menu, everything was very basic, and it wasn't worth it. The cheese sauce was watery, and everyone else was almost eating dessert when they brought me my plate. I didn't like it for the price. Plus, you have to keep asking for what you ordered. I also didn't like it at all when they bring your food and you don't even have a drink. Then they bring it, you ask for a drink, and so on. Another absurd thing is that it says that if you order a menu, the whole table has to order a menu. If you come with children, it's sometimes complicated.

The cocido was quite tasty, albeit a bit salty. The cachopo was overdone, dry, salty, and not very tasty. The fries were too salty. One of the waiters had such dirty jeans on, I had doubts about the hygiene standards. Another waiter was nicer. Overall, a pleasant enough place but nothing to write home about.

Foods is not bad. The restaurant in general can be more clean. Also needs more care🧐 for hair 💇 in the meat 🥩. No one wants to see hair in the food.

La comida aceptable , un poco cara suponiendo que se engorde la factura por las fechas , puntos negativos el camarero, borde y poco profesional , en fin un poco decepcionado....

Es uno de los mejores sitios para comer por relación calidad/precio pero puede ser que muera de éxito, está siempre muy lleno y tanto el servicio como la comida estuvieron peor que veces anteriores.

The Misadventures at "La Modernista". I have wandered through towns and courts, and dined in a thousand inns, but never have I found an inn where free will was so outraged as in this Modernista. As if we were galley slaves and not gentlemen, our taste was stifled, forcing us to eat what the innkeeper's tyranny dictated and not what our hunger demanded. I salvaged from the flames some green beans with clams and prawns that deserved glory, but woe to the desserts! Their sad appearance was such an offense to the eye that it's pointless to even mention the taste. I'll remain silent about the service so as not to stain my tongue with vileness, and as for the noise, I say that one doesn't eat there, but rather endures a great uproar. Flee, your grace, if you seek peace, respect, and a sweet end.
