Amazing place for casual lunch or dinner. The host made sure we were able to sit at a table with a good view of the Annapolis dock and guided us to our table. Our server Monica, was incredible, constantly checking on us. Food was delicious and came really quick. I enjoyed eating here, prices were pretty decent too.

My wife and I reserved a table at Latitude 38, and upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the receptionist, who led us to a table with a lovely view. The service throughout our meal was exceptional—our server was friendly, always smiling, and remarkably attentive, ensuring we never had to wait for anything. For appetizers, we decided to share the Crispy Calamari and the Three Cheese Crab Dip. The calamari, while delicious, had a batter that detached and crumbled, suggesting it may have been prepared earlier and reheated. The bell peppers, sliced and baked, appeared to have lost turgor pressure, possibly due to prolonged storage after cooking. However, the calamari itself was in excellent condition and quite flavorful. The Three Cheese Crab Dip, on the other hand, was superb—creamy and rich, topped with diced crab meat and accompanied by small baguette that complemented it perfectly. For the main dish I opted for the NY Strip Steak, requesting it medium. While I personally prefer medium-rare, I chose medium for safety reasons, as an undercooked medium-rare steak can result in underheated fat tissue that compromises the overall dish. The steak arrived perfectly cooked—the reddish center was fresh and tender, while the crust was well-grilled. A slightly deeper Maillard reaction could have enhanced the flavor further, but it was still well-executed. My wife chose the Lobster Roll, which did not disappoint. The buns were freshly buttered and expertly toasted, and the lobster filling was wonderfully flavorful. Having read some critical reviews beforehand, I understand that every restaurant has its own approach to balancing quality and efficiency. Latitude 38 successfully strikes a balance between delivering satisfying dishes and managing high-volume service effectively. Located in the bustling City Dock of Annapolis, the restaurant faces an influx of tourists at any given moment. Some efficiency-driven choices are inevitable, but the overall experience was quite enjoyable. Would I return? Absolutely. The combination of attentive service, quality food, and a well-thought-out approach to handling busy crowds makes Latitude 38 a solid dining choice.

Our first time. Came in for my birthday this past Monday, 7/1/24 around 6pm. Our server was fantastic and was very thorough. When we walked in, several hostesses welcomed us with a smile. It was a slower night and everyone was really on top of their game. I've worked approximately 20 years in the service industry and was extremely impressed with everything from the service to the food and little details. 😊

Really nice location and our server was wonderful. We got appetizers, drinks and lunch. She recommended we get a second piece of bread for the crab dip right out of the gate and she was right-on with that suggestion. We all enjoyed our food and beverages very much and we sat on an enclosed patio and could view the parking lot and water. Highly recommend.

Lovely place to have dinner with a relaxed atmosphere. A partial view of the water and a great view of the Annapolis skyline. I don’t eat fish but the chicken options were delicious. Yummy key lime pie.

Made a reservation for a day pre-holiday. Very quick to seat us for it. The establishment is very open and airy, casual with a light sports bar atmosphere. The food is very fresh, especially the seafood. Fast and polite service. Strong, but delicious drinks, very flavourful. Decent bathrooms, clean. Overall would recommend and come back to this location in the future!

We came spontaneously to Annapolis after some beach hours for an nice late lunch. It was our first time in Annapolis so we just took the first restaurant with a sunny table on the terrace. Our service was great, the girls at the reception very kind and our meal was very tasty - thanks to the kitchen! We recommend!

Went here with family and friends to celebrate my birthday. Everything was delicious and fresh. The waiters were exceptional. Will definitely be going back when the weather breaks to enjoy the views

Stopped here for lunch on a Friday. Very quiet in the restaurant, only us and another table. We each had our own server and the service was phenomenal. Josh was our server and he did an excellent job! It was clear he knew what he was doing and he made every trip to and from the table count. The food was excellent, I had the fish tacos and my wife had the blackened chicken alfredo. Both were excellent. The garlic bread for the chicken alfredo was amazing. The location is great in downtown Annapolis, the price was fair and the service was excellent. Definitely will come back to try dinner here and will recommend to others.

The newest waterfront restaurant in downtown Annapolis is the real deal! Friendly to well-behaved dogs, we were seated on the upstairs patio, and had a lovely view of Ego Alley, the Severn, and will be a great place to catch the AYC WNR finish line. There's a nice selection of standard cocktails and a DELICIOUS champagne-quality hard cider. We had the raw oyster and scallops & crab appetizers, and greatly enjoyed them! We returned with friends at the last weekend of June. The manager, maitre d', and waiter were all excellent, professional, and had us and our friends laughing! When we asked to be seated outdoors with a good view, we were escorted to a gorgeous corner table overlooking the entirety of City Dock. We started with tuna nachos and steamed shrimp. The NACHOS ... oh my goodness ... each chip was its own boat filled with avocado and tuna goodness ... we would all gladly have made a dinner of this dish! I loved the Grouper entree, and heard many ooh's and ahh's over the others: lobster salad, fish tacos, & avocado tuna boats. Still a great place to sit, chill on the deck, and watch the boats go by with friends ... GREAT fresh oysters, especially the Blue Point's! Don't be afraid to bring a large party of sailors (10), the wait staff handled us VERY well!

I was checking on water views coming from Boston and found this place! The reviews were not what I was expecting and I wanted to still try it out. The service was so quick and we got our food almost 5 min later. The staff was friendly and the view of the water was pretty. I’d recommend the lobster roll and the fish was yummy too that my partner ate! The espresso martini was also bomb. Overall a lovely time and it was somewhere I’d definitely go again if I’m in the area

Dinner was delicious! We always order the crab dip with the bread and calamari and they never disappoint! Staff is always friendly too and sitting upstairs on the balcony is a vibe. Also, they have a new dessert shop right next door that sells FUNNEL CAKES!!! I couldn't believe it! They were also very kind. We'll definitely be back!

We were going oyster bar hopping in the area, so really only tried the oysters and their crab dip with bread. And everything was so delicious!!! I would definitely come back to this restaurant. And even though the open seating upstairs wasn't inside with AC, it was cool enough to escape the summer heat.

Came here on a Saturday night looking to get Snow Crab Legs and was thrilled that it was not too busy to get seated. The server Jennifer was absolutely one of the sweetest waitresses I’ve met. She was very helpful with questions and suggestions. Started with the Spicy Tuna Poke Bowl which turned out wasn’t my favorite and there was no problem in getting it traded with the Calamari which was a winner. I also tried the Cajun Shrimp which was very good as well. And the Snow Crab Legs were perfect leading to a successful dinner.

Incredible service provided by Rachel and Jen! The crab cakes were cooked to perfection with no filler and they don’t church it up with crazy spices. The crab is the star as it should be!

Food was outstanding! Omg the garlic bread starter 😋 We had a giant burger and chicken fettuccine alfredo that were both delicious! Nice view of the activity at the harbor. Hard-working server did a great job with a busy crowd. Will be back!

I loved this place! Their snow crab legs were delicious as well as their mussels. The lady who helped me was very friendly, I wish I remembered her name. Ugh! She even asked how my margarita was to make sure it was to my liking. Fantastic service! I'll be back soon :)

We decided on this restaurant at the recommendation of a couple waiting for the water taxi. Our intent was to go to the Chart House but were turned off by the prices and wait times. They had just eaten there and were happy with the food and service. We decided to try it as a no other option at the time and were tired of walking. I was pleasantly surprised by the staff from the moment we stepped through the door. The hostess greeted us with a welcoming smile and led us up to the upper level with views of the water. She didn't sit us at the first available table but intead asked us if the table was to our liking. "Nice touch by the way". Our waiter who was very polite and professional was quick to take our drink order and happy to reccomend a beer. He checked on us often yet never interupted our conversation. The food arrived and was just as good as the service and the atmosphere. Judging from the other patron's looks they were all having a good experience. The patrons were dressed a little more formal than other places in the area but don't let the turn you away. You will feel right at home thanks to the great staff. Views food and service outstanding. These guys are doing everything right!

Good food and good service. What more do you want. Luckily there was no waiting time. We ordered a variety of dishes and mine was shrimp taco. It was lovely. Will go there again if I visit the place.

We had a wonderful dinner. Despite the construction that gave the impression the restaurant was closed we are so glad we stopped in. Dinner and drinks were excellent, and our server Monica was a pleasure!

We had an amazing experience here for dinner. Our server, Kat, was extremely kind and helpful. I have celiac disease, and she was very knowledgeable and accommodating of this and had plenty of gluten free options, including gluten free crackers for the delicious crab dip. Will definitely be coming back!

My wife and I came here on a Saturday for brunch. We both ordered the bottomless mimosas to drink. $12 for bottomless mimosas is an absolute steal! We ordered the Bang Shrimp as a starter and it was absolutely delicious! It was also the perfect size to share for 2 people. For entrees I ordered the crab and lobster omelette and my wife ordered the Maryland Benedict. Both of our entrees were absolutely amazing! The food was very good. Our waiter was very attentive at the beginning, but as more people came in we saw her less and less. It was not necessarily her fault though because it seemed like she was the only waiter. We also sat next to a window with a view of a huge construction site so that was a bit of an eye sore, especially when its advertised as being on the water. Our brunch experience was great and we would definitely come back.

Latitude 38 is located in the heart of the Annapolis Waterfront with beautiful views. We were celebrating a birthday and our party consisted of close to 30 people (2 large party seating arrangements). That said, the customer service was good. The food was absolutely delish! At our table, we had the Bacon Wrapped Scallops, Blackened Seafood Alfredo, Blackened Cod Fish Tacos (all 3 pictured). Additionally, we had crab cake sandwich, wings, and the MUST HAVE Crab Dip. I'll be returning sooner rather than later and I hope you do too.

A great dinner can be had at Latitude 38 in Annapolis, MD. Recently I had the privilege to try a few of their dishes including a Limeade Crush and a Orange Crush drink. Dinner included appetizers of Calamari and Peel & Eat Shrimp which was simply divine. A Cream of Crab soup was an excellent choice for the warm up. The main course was a superb crab cake sandwich, and Blackened Seafood Alfredo. The only complaint was that lobster 🦞 in the seafood alfredo was slightly rubbery. Our server Ryan was very attentive as he did an absolutely awesome job. The dining experience was excellent. The overall rating is a 4.2 out of 5. I definitely recommend this spot.

It has a nice outdoor patio overlooking city center and the docks. Food was decent, make sure to gran the attention of a server to place your order, if not, you could wait awhile. Decent drink selection, the margarita was perfectly made.

I had an a great experience dining here over the weekend. The food and drinks were amazing and tasted really good. Only con I have is the portion of the entrees. I had the Blackened Mahi Mahi and although jt was amazing, I wish the portion was bigger considering the price tag. Also, I wouldn’t consider the restaurant a Waterfront restaurant because it’s not sitting on or by the harbor but you can get a view of the harbor. Hospitality/Service was really good and we got seated immediately we arrived with no wait time or prior reservation made. This was surprising for a weekend but no complaints. Would definitely come back to dine here when given the opportunity.

Latitude 38 provided excellent service and the menu had a lot of selection based on dietary needs. The seafood is second to none. The king crabs legs was delicious and fresh. The shrimp was cooked to perfection. Overall the food was excellent.

Quick stop at Annapolis for lunch on Saturday afternoon. Didn’t need reservations as the restaurant wasn’t that busy. It’s located on the side so you don’t have a spectacular view but can see the bay a little. We had three cheese crab dip which was excellent. I had soft shell crab BLT and my hubby had Fish & chips. Our server was attentive and food came out fairly quickly.

It is nice place dine in and family friendly. As it is Monday it is quiet. I didn’t like the crub soup taste so they change for me for vegetables soup without charge

The food was excellent! I ordered the lamb with garlic potatoes with asparagus. My husband had the scallops with potatoes and veggies. The food came hot but unfortunately we weren’t able to dig in like we wanted…. No utensils! We addressed this issue when we had ordered our appetizer. Told the waiter we needed napkins and utensils. He only brought us your reg paper napkins no utensils. When our food came we still didn’t have our utensils. We waited at least 10 mins before they were brought to us and that was only because my husband had to go and ask twice! Unacceptable! Our waiter hardly came to see if we were ok, and that was because he stated to us upon his serving us that he was doing multiple things…. Helping the bartender. That’s fine and good but you CAN NOT neglect your customers. It’s not a good look for them. He was quite pleasant and he did apologize but the fact remains, you have to make sure the tables you are assigned to are being taken care of. We were the only table in our area that wasn’t getting the proper service required. The waiter plays a very important part in your restaurant experience! With that said the manager needs to make sure he/she have adequate people for their positions.

I was under the impression this was going to be a romantic dinner with my partner, but it turned more into “how do we justify spending this much money on food like this?” I got the lamb chops, served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The asparagus was undercooked and I got such a small helping of mashed potatoes. The lamb chops were okay, nothing to write home about. My partner got the blackened chicken Alfredo. The chicken was not blackened, it was more like the precooked chicken you can get from Costco, re-heated. I had 2 drinks, the cosmo, which was ok, and the espresso martini, which I’m pretty sure was just premade mix. We also got dessert and got the lava cake, it was okay. There was no soft part in the middle like there was supposed to be, that was filled with ice cream instead. The service was also just okay. Our server was a young man and he was adorable and polite, I assume new to the position. The other staff could be heard loudly airing their grievances with one another. Also to note: I was expecting a view of the bay, but there was only construction outside of the window. This is not the restaurant’s fault, but I was a little bummed.

Our group of 4 had a wonderful lunch, the Maryland Crab soup, Soft-shell Crab sandwich, and Lobster rolls were fantastic. The Blood Marys and Mojitos were excellent. Our waitress, Jenna, was very attentive. Were it not for the noisy construction work next to the outdoor patio where we were seated, this would have been a 5 star review. Fortunately we were quickly moved inside to a private room where the noise was no longer an issue.

Mouth watering meals offset the bad beginning. Lamb Chops for a main were wonderfully tender, and the flavors superb, as was the Blackened Mahi Mahi! Delicious flavors continued with the Key lime Pie. A nice bottle of Prosecco bubbly too. Huck was the waiter, whom made up for the terrible start at Latitude 38, as he made us feel so welcomed! The Bad_ in reference to the manager._ _ We arrived at 5pm and reserved booked__ for the Ego Room. Granted it was busy. We said at reception we were reserved book for this special 4th dinner. Sadly awaiting, while others who had not booked were getting in first. Finally after a little prompt we were taken to the first level, but __not to the "Ego Room" as reserved. Instead placed at a tight seated table on the first floor and then the staff forgot us for 1 hour! It was hot and no water on the table! I decided to prompt attention, from a second try to attract staff! We were apologized too. Finally we were assigned 'Huck' five minutes later. He was good natured and left him a 30% tip, but that did not excuse the 'poor service' at start, and excluded us from the Ego Room! 'Not happy' is the message to the manager of Latitude 38. The chef deserves such praise indeed.

The waiter Andre was awesome and very professional; best to you! I rated the atmosphere with two (2) stars because the temperature inside of the restaurant was sweltering and barely bearable, otherwise the dining experience could have been rated with four stars. If the a/c is not operable then this should be communicated via website, visual signage, and inform the main hostess outside of the entrance of the restaurant to inform patrons so they will be aware and not be unknowingly shocked by what could be deemed as an uncomfortable or unpleasant dining experience. I felt so bad for my elderly parent, the older and other elderly diners too. There is NO specific age for comfortability. Restaurant establishments, especially, should be contentious of how excessive heat can affect anyone. There are ways for all diners to comfortably enjoy waterfront dining without being subjected to such heat. I strongly recommend turning on the air conditioner (a/c). Seating near the windows should be open enough for all patrons to enjoy a nearby breeze. P.S. - People travel near and far to visit, learn about, experience and enjoy specific historical cities in the United States .

Unknowingly visited Annapolis during Powerboat Skow weekend and it was crowded, including this restaurant. Combine that with being short staffed and dinner for our table if 6 was a bit painful. Positive was that the food was very good.

T

On the corner downtown Annapolis. I would say it is over priced for the quality of the food. We sat outside and had a nice view of the water. The crabcake okay but lacked flavor. Would have to try again.

You're Paying for the Prime Location, Not the Experience or Food This is a restaurant where the view is the main attraction, and the food and service feel like an afterthought. We came for a family dinner, and the location is undeniably fantastic with a great view of Dock Street. There were a few bright spots on the menu: the Island Shrimp were plump and perfectly cooked, and the side of plantains was delicious. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn't justify the premium price tag. The coconut mango rice that accompanied the shrimp was a perfect example of a dish that passes the "Pepsi challenge"—it hits you with sweetness on the first bite but lacks the authentic flavor and complexity to make you want to finish it, with unripe mango bits betraying a lack of mastery. Similarly, the Mahi Mahi Rachel had good flavor but was let down by being served on a sloppy piece of rye. The service was the biggest disappointment for the price. After a pleasant start, our waiter disappeared. Our food arrived after a long wait, but without any utensils. We had to flag down another server, and our silverware arrived five minutes later; at least our kid could eat her fries while we waited. The waiter's reappearance at the end of the meal to regale us with a fabricated local history lesson felt more like a gimmick than a substitute for genuine attentiveness. This was followed by an awkward payment process where he stood over our shoulder as the terminal presented bold, pre-set tip options of 20%, 25%, and 35%—a high expectation for service that was so lacking. Who is this for? This place is best for tourists who prioritize a waterfront view above all else and are willing to overpay for average food and slow, disjointed service. If you're looking for a meal that offers good value and a great dining experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

J
Joshua

I would rate dinner as mid. It was food that pretended to be more upscale than it really was. I would say that the price for the quantity and quality of the food is above what it should be. The service was okay. I think the main gripe is that the food is overpriced for both a casual dinner/brunch and for even an intentional nice dinner occasion that is then accompanied by small portion sizes. I got the rockfish and shrimp - a tiny fish filet and 3 shrimp. Really skimpy on the food. The hush puppies were the best part.

Found two live mud worms in their oysters. Sever was apologetic and took it off our bill. Returned the oysters, didn’t really wanna eat it after seeing worms dancing on it. Three cheese crab dip was good. Lobster roll was meh. Kinda pricey for the quality

My family and I decided to try Latitude 38 last Saturday. We had a very long wait when we arrived at the restaurant but not because they were packed. There were three people in line before us. The hostess had to physically go find the table for the party while the party waited at the hostess table and then clean it. She returned after several minutes and would ask the party to follow her to their just cleaned table. This process created a very long wait at the hostess table for everyone. Eventually, we were seated and met by our server. She took our drink orders and, after a long time, returned with them. We had to flag the waitress down after a very long time so we could order our entrees. After another very long wait, we were going to leave because the entrees were taking entirely too long. We decided to leave if the entrees hadn't arrived by 8:30p because we arrived at the restaurant at 7:02 pm and 90 minutes after arriving is ridiculous. The waitress brought out one plate at different times, starting around 8:25pm. The food was not great, but we were all frustrated and ready to leave at that point. The waitress didn't offer us any concessions due to the extended wait, and the manager did not come to apologize for the poor service. We will not be returning to Latitude 38.

Our server was nice but my fish and chips looked like a big thick old corn dog :( Also the fries we're so salty that everyone at the table said they were too salty, how is it possible to mess up french fries?! The fish tacos had a tangy sauce that tasted like pickles that had been left in a basement for 6 years. My cucumber salad was floppy, soggy, and deeply unsettling in a way only limp vegetables can be. Im praying I don't get the Hershey squirts tonight 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 The only thing I liked was the banging bang bang shrimp banana baaang.

The Valentine's Day Escape Room (Based on a True Story) It was a dark and misty night. After a pleasant stroll down a dark and narrow alley, nestled between chain link fences and construction equipment, my wife and I stopped in front of Latitude 38. Our Valentine's Day dinner awaited us - or so we thought. After waiting twenty or so minutes past the time of our reservation, we were led to our table, which was to become the very school for acquiring the virtue of patience. Before we were approached by our server, we enjoyed another twenty minute interlude of picking our meal from the overpriced menu and commenting upon how very hungry we were. Normally, in American restaurant establishments, one expects to eat within a reasonably timely fashion. Not so at this particular Latitude (and Longitude for that matter). Finally, our miniscule water glasses were filled, and our appetizer order of calamari was triumphant. Things went a bit smoothly after this; our appetizer was indeed delicious and the reason for the meriting of a second star. Most of our peers in the dining area received water pitchers for refills, but we ourselves, lowly as we are, were awarded none; thus we had to pilfer a discarded water pitcher for ourselves. This was evidence of the real issue at hand: we had no server, though staff were haphazardly dashing in and out of the kitchen doors, and other tables were indeed being served. Dinnertime! At last! My (now cold) fish tacos mysteriously arrived on the scene after an inestimable length of time, but my unfortunate wife was not lucky enough to receive her crab soup. Sharing both tacos was inevitable, and now the only goal was to go home and enjoy the rest of the evening together. However, seeing as dining and dashing is frowned upon in this society, we found ourselves on our hands and knees, begging various and sundry staff to please condescend to bring us the long-awaited check. Here was the true test! Could we escape from this restaurant without breaking the law? Servers floated past us, their eyes set on every table but ours and two similarly neglected couples on either side of us. "Could you please bring our check, my dear sir?" "Oh yes," was the vague reply time and again, but no check appeared. We were informed that some dastardly drama was unfolding in the kitchen. An hour passes and we find ourselves growing quite tired, rather antsy, and a tad bit hungry as we had not received much food. How would we ever get out of here?? Could it already be nearing 10 pm?? Our reservation was at 7! Would we need to prepare to survive the night, as seen in the hit film "Five Nights at Freddy's?" Desperation was growing within our panicked minds. At long last, in an intervention of Divine Providence one might say, a courageous server whom we had never before seen arrived with the credit card swipey thingy, and before you could say "an anomaly in Annapolis" we were out the door. Freedom! We hugged. We cried. We laughed. We had done it. We had escaped Latitude 38, and were well on our way to our home in latitude 39.

We were really bummed out by this restaurant. Food was cold and bland the service was so bad took 20 mins to get our drinks and they forgot one of them. We were barely greeted by our waitress:(

Looking for the ultimate Valentine’s Day dining package? The kind that builds character, tests patience, and makes every future date night feel like a luxury? Welcome. Kick things off with the Reservation Roulette Experience™: arrive at the reserved time and enjoy a surprise 30-minute wait, because nothing says “we’re ready for you” like… not being ready for you. The best part? After finally being seated, the dining room is nearly empty, which really elevates the experience. Next, bask in the restaurant’s signature lighting design: bright, cold office fluorescents that keep the space feeling unwelcoming and sterile. Like a hospital cafeteria with a water view. Then comes the Closing Time Countdown: diners are informed the restaurant is closing in 30 minutes—not “kitchen closes soon,” but lights off, doors locked closing. Nothing says love like speed-running dinner with a timer. And finally, the crown jewel: the $26 appetizer showcase. A stunning display of guacamole and chicken dip that is so clearly not made to order it arrives molded in the exact shape of a disposable plastic cup—ring indentations included—like it was flipped onto the plate and sent out as a gentle reminder that hope is optional. Served with about nine greasy chips to keep things exclusive. In summary: a bold choice for anyone shopping for poor hospitality, confusing pacing, bleak atmosphere, and premium-priced shortcuts—all wrapped into one unforgettable evening.

Anne Davis

Every single thing about our Valentine’s Day dinner experience was comically bad. Waited 30 minutes even tho we had a reservation. Awful ambiance. Food was not good and came out cold. Cocktails were terrible. Wait and kitchen staff yelling at each other from across the restaurant.

R
Robert Sipes

We were seated right away, and our waitress was attentive to our needs. However, my food didn’t arrive cooked to order. I brought this to the waitress’s attention, and she said that she would let the kitchen know what happened. After that, she returned with a card reader to process our transaction. Never asked if we were done eating or wanted dessert. As we were leaving, the steps leading down to get out of the restaurant, were crowded with workers who I assume had nothing to do. Needless to say, my wife and I will not return to this restaurant.
