Fantastic service, friendly staff and owners. Had a variety of different foods here all we're great.
Absolutely delicious! I got the Tom's Scramble and the chicken fried steak on it was delicious. Also got the iced caramel macchiato and it was so good. Amazing atmosphere, wonderful servers. Great prices. Would come again.
This was my first time there and I was pleased. The service was great, the food was great and HUGE portions. I cannot wait to go back!
Good location, plenty of parking. Went in on a Saturday around lunch time and was told the wait for 30 minutes but got in earlier. The theme for the restaurant was done nicely even with the food options. Portion are good sizes. Got the huckleberry swamp tea and server was good about refills. Overall great experience and would go again.
We stopped here after our daughters cross country meet, just on whim. Didn't have to wait too long for it being Saturday morning, and the service was great. Food was also great also. I had French toast and learned that 2 slices and 3 slices really means 4 and 6. Lol. I know they are cut in half, but those are BIG pieces. Very filling.
I had the Chicken & Waffels and she had grilled Louisiana Catfish over Jambolia rice. The service was perfect and everyone was very friendly. The atmosphere was a bit loud but not to much to where you still couldn't enjoy so no complaint there. The Huckleberry Swamp Tea was delicious as well. We will definitely be coming back.
Chain of Cajun themed and inspired restaurants serving breakfast and lunch. The food here comes in large portions, so come with and appatite. They also offer a selection of lemonade and teas with real fruit in large mason jars to wash things down. One thing we do notice is some things tend to be heavy on the salt side. So just be ready for that. Staff here was friendly and helpful taking care of our group. Good place to go for a meal between sports games in the local area.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Huckleberry's, and I can confidently say it deserves every bit of its 5-star rating! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a family meal. What truly sets this restaurant apart, however, is the staff. I would like to highlight the high professionalism of the waiter Deidra! She was incredibly attentive and friendly, going out of her way to make my grandson feel special during our visit. The way she interacted with him was heartwarming, and he absolutely loved the experience! Highly recommend it to everyone – we’ll definitely be back soon!
We decided to try the new Huckleberry's after not being too pleased with the Perko's that was formerly at this location. The place is clean and the staff was much friendlier than the last time I was in the building. The staff was very attentive and worked as a team to refill coffee for each other and they were quick too. My wife had the Tom's Scramble which comes with either a sausage patty or a chicken friend steak on the biscuit with eggs covered in country gravy with red potatoes on the side. I ordered the chicken friend steak and eggs with red potatoes and toast. Breakfast was delicious. We also got an order of Beignets, and holy smokes those are great.
I had such a genuine great time here! The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. Started with an iced Caramel Macchiato. The whipped cream was so thick and delicious! Then moved on to the New Orleans Hot Skillet and man it was sensational! Finished it up with the signature Huckleberry Muffin that came with the dish and it was incredible! Probably going to return before I go home😁
I greatly enjoyed the Mississippi skillet dish, which consisted of scrambled eggs with bacon, pancakes, hash browns, and crispy French toast. The service provided by the staff was exceptional, and the quality of the meals was consistently excellent. There was no notable wait time, and our inquiries were promptly addressed without the need for repetition. The restaurant's interior and exterior are aesthetically pleasing, making it a highly recommended dining establishment.
By far my favorite place to eat! I started a new job and don't get off in time to eat here so yesterday on my day off, my love took me back! I've been wanting to come leave a review since the first visit but never did so here I am now....the wait staff is by far the friendliest I have ever dealt with! We never have to ask for refills which is a plus because my love drinks a lot of water! When we come in, they know where we like to sit, they bring our plastic silverware, bring our waters with my extra lemon, and get our fried green tomatoes going with an extra sauce! It's amazing to have them know what we like, my first time getting that at a restaurant! Their food portions are HUGE which I eat A LOT but we usually share our meals and still get full! I can't wait for my sister in law and cousin to come visit cuz this will be the first place I bring them to!
First time here! The food was amazing!! They have FRIED OKRA in MASSIVE proportions!! The biscuits were like CLOUDS! The gravy was delicious-EVERYTHING was delicious!! Waitstaff was cheerful, personable and efficient! They knew when to check on me and when to leave me alone and let me BASH!! 🤣😂 I even bought a couple bottles of their hot sauce! Very good "Cajun" style food. If you haven't been- you MUST go! I'll be back!! (I'll put pictures here, but don't ask me what the name of it was as she made what I wanted into a combo- you can see what it is!!☺️❤️)
It's a decent diner style place with a bit of a Southern twist. I would LOVE to see a few more "healthy" options on the menu. Inside feels like a mix of classic diner vibes meets Southern hangout. It's very laid-back and casual. The servers are friendly, and the food is prepared pretty quickly. The booths are comfy but a little tight. I got lunch, my friend got breakfast. The food was tasty, and portions were reasonable. It's a decent place to go grab breakfast or lunch if you're looking for casual eating.
I gotta focus on the value here, because that was no joke. The amount we paid, for the amount of tasty food we got was real praiseworthy. A few items like the beignets may have been a bit different from the exact style we were used to, but generally every appetizer and most of the entrees hit well. One of us got the endless salad and soups. They felt that for the area and the price point, the gumbo wasn't half bad. Service was well within acceptable marks and even exceeded a bit as we had. A vegetarian with us, but be advised it isn't a horribly vegetarian-ready spot. Give it a shot, you don't find real actual huckleberries at most chain restaurants outside of the far northwest. That's worth a star all on its own.
Ok, so the food is pretty reliable twist on southern American fare, flavors are accessible without being bland. Easy breakfast /brunch, plenty of parking. Service was very good when we went, the server was attentive without being bothersome. The dining area can get loud and you'll have to speak up. Men's restroom was a mess, but I understand how hard it is to keep those clean.
😀We visited this location on a Saturday morning and it was packed. There was a 10-15 minute wait when we arrived. It is a breakfast/lunch-only restaurant. 🕒Their hours are 7am-3pm daily. It is a franchise/chain-restaurant. The theme is a Southern bayou/Cajun atmosphere. You are even greeted by an alligator statue when you enter.🐊 😋Some of the fun themed menu items include: Mardi Gras beignets, fried okra and fried green tomatoes, Louisiana catfish, jambalaya, and of course, waffles with their scratch-made Huckleberry fruit topping.🎣🧇 Our server was really friendly. Our food all came out at the same time and everything was exactly how we ordered it. Some of my party ordered breakfast and a fancy Bayou Bloody Mary with a garnish of celery, bacon, a lemon slice, and an olive. 🍷🥓🫒🍋 I had the Dixieland Steak Melt, which looked almost exactly like the picture in the menu. 🥪 💲Average cost for food only would be about $15-$25 depending on what you order, more if you share an appetizer. Drinks will add another $5-$10 on top of that. We had a good experience. It can get a bit loud because it is like one giant dining room full of tables. Plenty of parking at this shopping center.
Everything was great! The environment, food, mimosas, and service. My wife ordered the vegetarian Louisiana hot skillet while I ordered the new Orleans hot skillet with no sausage nor pepper jack cheese. We both had strawberry mimosas and an orange juice to wash it down. They were delicious!!
Very chill place the staff are well trained and very friendly. Had the stacked chicken and waffles not my normal breakfast food . Candice was very bubbly and recommended this dish Waffle was the fresh and one of the best I have had it also had bacon on it. The chicken was a little dry for my taste. I would come back and eat a southern style breakfast again .
Edited july 6th 2022: went back here for breakfast today and was very disappointed so I am changing my rating to 2 stars. Stacked chicken and waffles were sand dry because the chiken was overcooked and it was hard to chew. Flapjacks had raw batter in the center, eggs had undercooked eggwhites. Also were told that corned beef is no longer made fresh there but instead canned corned beef is now used.... Big disappointment! The waitress was very nice though. I hope this place doesn't go back to old Perko's standards and this was just one bad day 🤔. Original review: Excellent American breakfast place! My family has been here several times since they opened up and we got great food every time. My personal favorite is chicken waffle sandwich. The chicken is juicy and crispy, the waffles are perfectly chewy yet crispy as well, the sauces are great and pecan butter on top goes really well with the syrup. It's sweet and salty and chewy and crunchy at the same time. YUM! Tried fried green tomatoes - they were great! Eggs benedict and crabcakes - delicious! Skillets are awesome! The beignets deserve a separate reviews because they are divine! They are huge fluffy deep-fried pillows off straight up goodness served with huckleberry, peach, and strawberry sauces AND vanilla cream filling to dip in. We order them every single time. They go well with Iced caramel macchiato. Service is fast, waiters are polite and prompt. Nothing but good things to say about the staff. It's great that this franchise stepped up their game and got their food updates to modern times. Antelope needed a new breakfast and lunch place badly, and I think they will get a lot of business if they keep up serving the good food.
Make sure to always ask whats on your item, even though theres a description. I ordered this sandwich, with no slaw and pickles on the side. When i received it, it was smothered in ranch. The description clearly does not include ranch, but the very rude lady I spoke to over the phone claimed there is always ranch on this sandwich. Very misleading. Sogged into the bread and made the breading of the chicken itself super soggy. Now, if the description stated there was any ranch on the sandwich itd be a whole different story. Ive been to 3 huckleberry locations and have ordered this from each one. There has never been ranch on it. Even the last time I got this item AT THIS location, there was no ranch on this item. They should really update their menu if theyre changing the items. Makes zero sense. False advertising and extremely misleading. Food is too expensive to just be playing games like this. Whoever the girl is that answered the phone and wouldnt give me her name, is lucky this was a delivery order. Blatant disrespect.
