He Hop Chinese Restaurant

The bang for the buck at this restaurant is on point. The General's chicken wasn't actually spicy but the rice, chicken & egg roll hit the spot. Can't wait to stop here again.

We almost didn’t try this place because of the reviews and I’m really glad we took a chance because the food was phenomenal! My husband got a beef curry dish with house fried rice and I got the combo orange chicken dish that came with pork fried rice and an egg roll and we both really enjoyed our meals. A lot of these negative reviews were from at least a year ago and we are new to the area so can’t speak on past quality but our take out meal was quick and steaming hot and really delicious. Take the chance you won’t be disappointed!

I’ve had a variety of different meals from here and I can honestly say, I was pleased with all of them! from the seafood dishes to mei fun, chicken , beef dishes..different appetizers all were really good! I like He Hop as well because they aren’t too salty. Also I’ve had some modification requests and they were pleased to do it! Definitely recommend.

We only get Chinese takeout from here. The service is always top notch. They do little things without being asked to make things better. Everything is always delicious warm and quick. When you need comfort Chinese takeout, its just what you are looking for, easy.

This is the best damn Chinese food in Florida. Don't order anywhere else in apopka and make the drive if your close by. I ate in silence with my wife because of how good it was. We both just ate. My goodness.

Lived in Mt dora for 2 years & never tried He Hop, just because of the reviews, even though I visit the plaza every day. I am So glad I did!!!! Their boneless ribs & Krab rangoon are amazing, as well as everything else I tried (bourbon chicken, moo goo gai pan, general those, etc) Except the rice!!! I don't know why they use yellow rice with everything else tasting authentic. Sub rice for any type of Lo Mein (which is soo yummy!!) & you've got an amazing meal!!!! Always super hot & fresh!! Great egg rolls too!! This is some of as close as I can get to long Island NY takeout.

This place rocks! I used to go to it's previous incarnation for about 20 years when the owners were on Lee Road in Winter Park! The food is most excellent ❤️ the House Fried Rice is my favorite and I am addicted to the egg rolls. The portions are large too. I live alone so I divide a meal into 3 sections. I eat one and freeze the other 2 for later. Highly recommended !!!

He Hop Chinese is a very small store in a strip plaza that has been set up as a kitchen with a front counter top. Dining in is not available. I call, place my order and its always ready to pickup in 15-20 minutes. I have been dining out from here monthly for several years and the food is consistently good. Great American Chinese Food!!!

My kids are the beef and broccoli, after they where done I tried a carrot. All I could taste was oil. I hope the picture comes out, the entire liquid you see has a 1/4 inch of oil on top. No flavor what so ever, no garlic, no ginger, nothing but oil and a small amount of soy sauce. Aweful

Worst Chinese food I've ever eaten, and I've eaten some bad Chinese food. The food was mushy, egg rolls weren't crispy, and the flavor was off. It didn't taste like any other Chinese food I've eaten.. and that's just the food. Online ordering didn't work, so when I got to the store they had to prepare my food "fresh" and said it would be about 5 minutes. I probably should have cancelled the order right then. The atmosphere was atrocious. There were shopping carts in the lobby full of cardboard boxes, and it just looked dirty. Will not go back.

I thru it all in the garbage and have terrible heartburn!! What is happening now??? I saw the same owners tonight. I will never come back until I see Positive reviews again.

But the reason for this review is the last time I went on a not so busy afternoon. Those lovely fried chicken wings t hey are charging over $8. They were fried in a tub and under the cabinet in the heat and out for the bugs and there was another one in the back. Just out in the open. They looked like I surprised them and I wasn't supposed to see that. Should have called the health dept. Oh no. I am calling the health dept. The only way is to shut them down before they kill someone. They would never serve themselves the food they serve us. Greasy. Oily. Stored on the floor or out of refrigeration. This place has the worst shrimp and lobster sauce and ribs I have ever eaten. If it wasn't so far I'd take it back. Don't eat here...I love chinese food, eat it often. This is the worst I've ever had. Disappointed New Yorker
