Opinions de Din Tai Fung Arcadia
It's a small little section within the mall. Got the Dipped Choco Strawberry blizzard and it's good but not out of this world. Can easily buy it at a whole foods and make it. If you enter from the entrance where the Gold Gym is inside the parking structure, you enter and keep going straight until you see the rest of the mall, turn right and keep going until you see it on the 2nd floor, there will be some stairs leading up.
Helpful & friendly staff. The soft serve is delicious! ૮ ˶´ ᵕˋ ˶ა ☆
Alan (Allen? Not sure how to spell) was super friendly and recommended great flavors. Great kid (:
Their dessert selection keeps me coming back.
As I have anxiously waited for the mall to reopen THE TIME HAS FINALLY COME! Due to certain restrictions I’ll just have to gorge on my ice cream outside. (Hey a little vitamin D never hurt anyone) Dairy Queen is officially open and ready to take my $. Call in to order, go to the designated area and happiness will be delivered.
September they are moving upstairs in the center court next to Peets Coffee & Forever 21! The new location will also offer hot desserts, sandwiches, and hot dogs. (On top of the traditional DQ menu) Go visit them and try one of the summer blizzards before it’s gone!
This place is great. Lena behind the counter even remembered my name from my previous visit. The app has really good deals
Always a walk down memory lane, was craving an Orange Julius for a week now lol and my husband loves the Blizzards
Love this little DQ..it reminds me of my childhood when we would go to mall trip we would get a orange Julius.
If you are looking for something quickly from Dairy Queen limited options I went there yesterday only one person was working in the chaos
We dined here few days b4 Christmas, so it was very busy. Parking was quite difficult because there was Enchanted event next to the mall, and the wait time for reservation was around 3–4 hours. I would definitely recommend making a reservation in advance on Yelp, especially during the holiday season. That said, once we received text and checked in, the experience was very smooth. We were seated fairly quickly, and the food came out fast. Everything was well organized despite how busy it was, and the overall dining experience was good.
Din Tai Fung in Arcadia consistently delivers the quality and precision the brand is known for. The space is polished yet welcoming, with an efficient, well-run feel that keeps things moving even when it’s busy. The food is reliably excellent, with careful attention to texture, balance, and flavor. The baos, wontons, and noodles all stand out, showcasing the restaurant’s strength in classic Taiwanese dishes. The spicy wontons in particular are a must—perfectly tender with just the right level of heat and depth. A dependable spot in Arcadia for well-executed comfort food that feels refined without being overdone.
This is our favorite place to celebrate special occasions. We love this location in particular and will make the drive despite having a newer Din Tai Fung right by us. The service has ALWAYS been amazing and the design of the place is on point. They have some delicious options for individuals who need gluten free accommodations. My favorite items to order are the string beans, cucumber salad, and chicken fried rice. Also, I'd recommend coming when they open to avoid long wait times.
I’ve traveled all over the country, and this is hands down the best Taiwanese food I’ve ever had. Every dish we ordered was incredible, but the dim sum was on another level — perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor. Two surprising standouts were the cucumber salad and green beans — simple dishes that Din Tai Fung managed to elevate into something truly exceptional. The food alone would earn five stars, but the service from our server, Chloe K., was every bit as outstanding. She was attentive, friendly, and made our experience even more enjoyable. My only regret is that I live in Florida and this restaurant is all the way across the country. The next time I’m in the area, I’ll absolutely be back. If you’re nearby, don’t pass this place up — it’s a must-try!
It's always a treat to come here. Ordered dumplings, rice, noodles, shrimp wonton things and even chocolate dumplings for dessert 😭 what can I say that everyone doesn't already know.?! The food here is amazing 👏 delicious! I would definitely return a hundred times 😋 I recommend getting on the online wait list.
Our family loves Din Tai Fung. We usually get takeout and everything is always so good and consistent. Today we decided to dine-in because of the new passport option. As a mom to a child with special needs I thought it would be a good way for my daughter to try some new dishes. The wait was long but the digital waitlist on Yelp made it easy. The atmosphere was lively but comfortable and the food was amazing. The dumplings were perfectly cooked and the noodles were fresh and flavorful. Amaya is an absolute sweetheart! She made sure we got a table near the front for my daughter and checked on us a couple of times which was so thoughtful. Our server Alex was patient, friendly and really made the whole experience smooth and easy for me and my husband. Dining out can sometimes feel stressful but everything went so smoothly. Your kindness doesn’t go unnoticed and it really made our day. We’ll definitely be back!
Came here for lunch with my family on a Thursday. Thankfully, I joined the Yelp waitlist ahead of time because it was busy even on a weekday. We got seated fairly quickly, and Erickson took care of us the entire time. He was incredibly patient, always smiling, attentive, and kind. Halfway through our meal, the fire alarm unexpectedly went off and it was super loud. Erickson was very apologetic and kept checking in to make sure we were okay. Honestly, just from the level of service alone, we would come back. As for the food—Din Tai Fung never disappoints. We ordered the classic pork xiao long bao, pork chop fried rice, fried string beans, shredded pork with noodles, a Chinese tamale, and hot and sour soup. Every dish was beautifully presented and you could taste the freshness of the ingredients. Din Tai Fung really sets the standard for high-quality Chinese food. The experience feels like fine dining, but still comfortable and family-friendly. Parking can be tricky on weekends, but during the weekdays it’s manageable with the parking garage and lots nearby. Definitely worth a visit if you want a solid dim sum and noodle fix with top-notch service.
Been here since opening several years back. Never disappoint. Our go to always the pork, crab & pork xlb, vegetable dumplings, shrimp fried rice, and green beans. These are our baseline for other dumpling houses anywhere. Nothing beats Din Tai Fung yet. Today we tried the pork korabuta fried rice and MAN! It beats the shrimp fried rice hands down and YUMMYyYy! It has more flavor than the shrimp. We don’t typically get dessert here but have to try their new mango snow ice. While its not the best, it still pretty good with the fresh mango cubes on top and not too overwhelming with that sweet milk flavor (this is where I think they can improve). Give it a try when you’re there and be your own judge.
Where to start! We happened to get there at the right time to meet the very humble owner and his son, what nice and genuine people. We made reservations so we were seated pretty quickly. We had the cucumbers, green beans, bao buns, won tons (the pork version and the shrimp version), the chicken and noodles, the pork fried rice, the pork ribs, and the pepper steak. Every one of these delicious dishes was brought to the table by extremely courteous staff. The produce at the restaurant was fresh and crisp, the meats were savory and perfectly prepared. The ribs were savory, sweet and oh so tender. I think I dreamt of the garlic green beans. This was the best Asian cuisine I have had that I can remember. We followed up dinner with their amazing mango desert as well as the chocolate buns. Loved it! Thank you Din Tai Fung for an amazing experience.
Great experience! First time trying this place out and it was delicious 🤤 the wait was around 1 hour. Recommend joining the waiting list online! The waiter was super awesome, really great service. The chicken dumplings were a great start. The sliced chicken noodle soup was bland (we were warned) but still hit the spot according to the wife. The noodles with spicy sauce was not as spicy as I expected but still had a kick.
Lunch at Din Tai Fung, what a great surprise my daughter had recommended it to me and I was happily savoring the dishes as they were brought to our table. Dumplings are delicious our dishes came to the table at staggered time which was great for us to start trying them as soon as another one would be ready because we shared all the dishes. Service is top notch kept our drinks full and server was attentive and helpful so if you go and don’t know what to order they very kindly suggest menu items that are crowd favorites. Be adventurous try something new along with what you normally like to order. Will be visiting some of their other restaurants in Southern California.

Decent ice cream that is a bit overpriced in my opinion. The Superman blizzard tasted good. I love how they always flip the blizzard cup upside down to show it does not fall out. This location has ice cream, hot dogs, and drinks. The staff are friendly.
Been coming to this Dairy Queen since I was a kid. Since they've relocated to the 2nd floor of the Arcadia mall by Gold's Gym they have hot food options as well. Their prices have gone up since the pandemic but there's nothing like eating a blizzard while shopping.
Came here for dinner after making a reservation on a weekday 4 hours before. Overall - Food is good. But it is LOUD inside. DTF is the place to go if you enjoy their food and have a reservation AND still willing to wait another 30 minutes bc they cannot get the tables cleared on time. If you don’t have a reservation you can expect to wait over an hour for a table (and longer during rush hour time). Service is meh 🫤 bc if they’re short staffed, good luck flagging someone down to attend to your meal needs. Also, appetizers cucumbers never come out first, but their Xiao long Bao are decent (our orders somehow were somewhat cold). Hot and sour soup is ok but I wouldn’t order again. Some of my favorites: - their beef noodle soup is tenderly delicious - spicy dumplings aren’t too spicy - string beans: crunchy - chicken fried rice - good wok hei Parking is at the mall — free. The restaurant is on 2nd floor.
The service is phenomenal, the food is yum, don’t get me wrong, but does it warrant a $15 plate of greens? I just feel like there are so many similar restaurants that can deliver the same quality of food the same or if not better for way more affordable prices. I’ll pass on the $15 plate of greens man. Just grow your own vegetables~ Maybe this is a calling for you to find your inner green thumb!
Are there a bunch of other cheaper alternatives around the area? Why bother with this ridiculously long line? Well, if you wanna' take your date in a dimly-lit spot to impress her, THIS IS IT! The food isn't bad. Would I like bigger portions? Sure, but that's not the point of coming here. Service was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. They didn't speak too fast, and were very patient with us. The food is great! They're famous for the 小籠包 (Xiao Long Bao), so try those, but generally you can't go wrong. Really loved the Mango Snow dessert. Get it before they take that off their menu!
Awkward service. I was told some items were not available but saw them served in other tables (cucumber salad). Multiple times I had to ask for my beverage. This is not the worst but definitely not…

Every time we come here to pick up a to go order of the red bean bun dessert this place always has people waiting in line to get in. I like their food but I'd rather eat at a mom and pop restaurant…
So grateful for this location because we don't have many around our area. 3 stars only because of the staff. The only 1 person that was there working was actually walking around and did not notice the 4 customers trying to order, so they left. But the blizzard... DELICIOUS!!!! Everything there is great!
Solid ice cream, but the prices were insane. My ice cream cost nearly $7, and it was basically a kids cup (see photo).
This was a mini Dairy Queen without a full menu. The food was decent, the same standard as you would expect at a full dairy queen, but they didn't have a frier so there was no fried chicken or French fries.
The service was absolutely wonderful. Our server was attentive and explained everything with detail . The food was just ok . We ordered the chicken dumplings, chicken fried noodles, cucumber salad , and sticky pork ribs . The portions are small and the most flavorful thing we had were the sticky ribs . Everything was just ok .
Spicy shrimp and pork wonton - 3/5 Not too authentic though it has a nice sweet tang to it; wouldn’t buy again Beef noodle soup - 2.5/5 Not impressed…noodles were mid, soup was too salty and lacked dimension, and meat didn’t complement dish well imo Bean sprouts - 3/5 Classic; tasted the same as any other Chinese restaurant Chocolate XiaoLongBao - 3.5/5 Good taste…but wouldn’t try it again. Also pretty pricey ($10 for 5 of these) Not too memorable and I’d recommend saving your money for another entree Atmosphere is very nice, food comes relatively fast, and bathrooms are clean! Don’t think I will revisit though!
I had a reservation and arrived 10 minutes early! I was still made to wait, even though I saw many empty tables.

The restaurant was closed due to an electrical issue. I made a reservation a few weeks prior and was not notified of the situation. Drove 1.5 hours to end up eating somewhere else..
The service here was terrible. The staff member actually made a dismissive hand gesture to push a woman with three kids aside and told them to wait for their food. We ordered three combos, but she “forgot” to give us three bags of chips and one drink. She claimed it was a mistake, but I could tell she was lying. I will never come back. The hot dog wasn’t even grilled—it was just a sausage stuck between two plain pieces of bread, clearly pre-assembled. The condiments weren’t fresh; they just handed us little single-serve packets. To make things worse, there weren’t any tables available, so we ended up eating on the edge of a planter box.
workers need better food safety training. ladies were chatting it up while making my blizzard and i could literally see the spit flying out of her mouth onto my ice cream. like please...
Went to the Westfield Santa Anita Mall location today. I had been waiting for the mall to reopen and this was my first stop. I've seen many commercials for Dairy Queen recently, so it was very disappointing to see the man working there without a mask on, which is required during the virus pandemic. Every worker in every other food stand was wearing masks. I asked him why he wasn't wearing a mask. He said when he prepares the product, he'll wear a mask. Unacceptable answer! So when he pours the mix into the machines he isn't wearing a mask? When he cleans the machines and counters he doesn't wear one? He told me I didn't have to order, that it was my decision. I left. I noticed he slipped on a mask just after I turned away. I really wanted a blizzard, but it isn't worth risking my safety. I wish there were another Dairy Queen within driving distance.
😒 The person behind the counter DID NOT WEAR A MASK nor he washed his hands or wore gloves before handling the food. 🤔But there is a sign on front of the counter that says that there is no service for patrons without a mask. 🤥
I don't understand why they won't update their opening hours on Google map. Drove 30 mins to there at 8.30 but they are already closed. Super frustrating experience.
