Amazing portions, amazing taste, amazing staff. Seriously, if you haven’t tried this place, you’re missing out. The owner really cares about delivering you the best meal/experience possible.
I ate at Aladdin Restaurant in Arlington a while ago during Ramadan. At the time, the food was good and satisfying. That said, this is based on an older visit, so I wouldn’t rely heavily on my experience alone, things may have changed since then. Still worth trying it yourself. Solid Bangladeshi food option.
Tried the shorshe ilish. It was not just plain mustard flavor, it was unique and super good. Also had their house made sweets and tea. 1000/10! The staff is super polite and friendly and they made the experience even better
Today I have visited Aladdin Restaurant at Arlington while our famous Babu bhai the owner was present, I tried the tea with unmatched with others, I also tried chicken puff/patis which was fabulous, finally I tried Kacchi biriani , which is the best in the state. I wish him and his innovative- restaurant to keep this standard for the rest of the time.
Food was 10/10! We flew in for a conference and Aladdin’s came up on google. The owner was SUPER nice and accommodating. The food is amazing. I highly recommend the chicken roast and shingara. Will come back whenever I’m in the DC area!
Was craving for some authentic Bangladeshi food and found this place which is really extraordinary in terms of food taste, quality and environment.. would highly recommend! The “Shorshe Ilish” and “Daal” was just awesome!
The food was amazing. The taste was authentic Bangladeshi. We had Halim and Teheri which we enjoyed a lot. The staff and owner was very helpful. All in al, I definitely recommend that.
I ordered catering from here for my kids’ birthday party on just one day’s notice, and they truly delivered! The food was absolutely delicious, and everyone at the party kept complimenting it. I really appreciate their quick service and amazing quality. Highly recommend them!
The lamb biryani and beef tehari were really good. The owner was very friendly. Definitely a nice place to eat
For anyone looking for Bangladeshi food in the DMV, look no further. The chicken roast, beef curry, and daal are wonderful. I had to be wheeled out in a wheelbarrow and will be reserving a parking spot so I can come and go as I please.
Delicious food, great price, authentic taste, very friendly owners! Can’t wait to come back with more friends to introduce them to Bangladeshi cuisine— the chicken roast is amazing
Aladdin Restaurant is truly a gem! The food is absolutely delicious fresh, flavourful, and authentic while the service is outstanding and always welcoming. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. A special mention to the owner, Hussain, who is the best and makes sure every guest feels at home. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be coming back!
Amazing Bangladeshi food with authentic flavors! The biryani was perfectly cooked and full of aroma, and the beef curry was tender and rich in spices. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere felt warm and homely. Definitely a great place for anyone craving real Bangladeshi cuisine.Damn forget about vorta that one was best❤️
We ordered beef biriyani and ruhi fish curry. Everything had huhe portions and was very yummy. Ruhi fish curry especially had original Bangladeshi flavors. Their customer service was excellent. The washroom is also very clean and nice. Definitely recommended!
Their food is the best in DMV. The owner is the best. Very amicable. Overall I had a really good experience there. Definitely recommend to everyone that wants to try authentic Bangladeshi food.
I ordered halim, goat biryani, chicken roast and rosgolla to bring it home via a 6 hours flight. I returned home, heat it and our family enjoyed the delicious food. Everything was just top class. The owner was so kind that he gave me 2 free chicken patties and my toddler loved those. Thank you so much! Definitely will come back again.
Their beef tehari is highly recommended 🤩 flavored with mustard oil! Kudos to the chef and Mr. Ashraf was very welcoming and made us feel like homely food! Outstanding service. We drive from Bristow to Arlington for 50 minutes just to enjoy their food and service. We also love their Mughlai parata, poori, goat biryani. Will keep going there iA.
I landed in the U.S. for my studies at UC Berkeley back in August 2025 and now, Jan 2026, I’m in Washington DC for a conference to present a paper. All this time, from August 2025 till now, I’ve been on the hunt for some legit Bangladeshi food that tastes like home. You know, that real homestyle flavor. And after having dinner at this place today, I honestly felt like I was back at home in Bangladesh eating my mom’s cooking. Nothing beats mom’s cooking, of course, but this came pretty close; probably the closest I’ve found in the U.S. so far. So yeah, if you’re craving that authentic Bangladeshi taste, definitely come check this place out. And hey, a little note to the owners: please keep this taste going strong and don’t change a thing. Don’t drift away from that real Bangladeshi flavor. Bangladeshi cuisine is absolutely top-notch and you’ve gotta try it here!
We had an amazing experience at Aladdin Restaurant. We had halim, daal puri and tehari there. Top notch quality. Service was amazing. They welcomed us with mango lassi and an extra puri that was on the house. The behaviour of the staff was really cordial. We used the washroom there as well which was very clean. We were very satisfied.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 We had the most delicious Teheri here—flavorful, perfectly cooked, and so comforting! The service was excellent; the staff were warm, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic taste and great hospitality in Arlington
Outstanding Authentic Bangladeshi Experience! Absolutely delicious and authentic Bangladeshi food! The flavors were rich, fresh, and perfectly spiced. Friendly staff and a warm atmosphere — highly recommended!
Last night tried their haleem, it was really good with good amount of meat. Taste is good. Also tried tehari had a good portions of meat. Ambience is good as well their behavior. I would request if they can add 4 puris instead of 2 that would be great and if they can make bigger size puris. Highly recommended, will be visiting again.
The man who took our orders was awesome. We came in late but still received our food in a reasonable time. It's delicious too, have to come here.
Great food and a very welcoming atmosphere! The buffet had many fresh and delicious options, and everything was well prepared. The lamb, chicken dishes, and rice were full of flavor. The restaurant is clean, nicely decorated, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed the experience and will definitely come back again. If you are in Arlington, this is a great place to enjoy good food.
Great experience! We had beef halim, chicken roast with polao, ilish bhuna and tea. The beef halim was the highlight, it had truly authentic Bangladeshi taste. The chicken roast with polao and ilish bhuna were delicious, and the tea was perfect to end the meal. Customer service was also very good. The lady who served us was friendly and welcoming. Overall, everything was fresh and satisfying. Highly recommended!
I had been feeling homesick for a while. So, my husband brought me here on my birthday as a surprise! It was an amazing experience to say the least. Both the food and the service were excellent. We ordered their Mango Lassi, Chicken Samosas, and Beef Tehari. The manager/owner was very friendly and welcoming and when I told him I was from Bangladesh, he served us some Dal Puris on the house! All the food we had were delicious and tasted authentic! However, my favorite were the Dal puris and the Beef Tehari! I had some Tehari leftover and it tasted great even on the next day when I reheated it in the microwave. Overall, I had a wholesome experience and if I lived closer, I would come here more often! I will definitely be coming back eventually!
The food was really good! The haleem was phenomenal! Prices were reasonable and their portions were very good. They were very hospitable people and so welcoming. They even gave us complimentary lassi and rice pudding! We were the only ones at the restaurant and they even adjusted the music for us haha. Definitely will come back again!
We initially came here for Bangladeshi groceries and noticed the restaurant was open, so we decided to give it a try since it was already dinner time and we’re glad we did! We ordered the Tehari, chicken kebab, and naan. The Tehari was absolutely delicious! Both of my kids loved it. The kebab was decent, and the mint chutney was very good. The place was clean, including the washroom, which is a rare find in Bangladeshi restaurants. The lady serving us was very friendly, and the owner was also welcoming. Overall, we had a wonderful experience!
Food was super tasty. We had beef curry, chicken roast, fish and Haleem. Owners and server at the counter were extremely friends and gave us a dessert and tea on house! Def coming back here next time!
Newly designed and renovated. The food is delicious and filling. We had chicken biryani, tehari and muglai paratha. All amazing! The server was good too. Very attentive and sweet. We have been coming for years and will continue to eat here.
Food was delicious. All of them had that Bangladeshi taste. We ordered rupchada fish curry and polao with roast. Fish was fresh, no funky smell. Nice aroma of rupchada fish. Also had tea. Atmosphere was quiet. Restroom was clean also. There were few parking space. Highly recommended if you love Bangladeshi cuisine.
I am a foreigner and I have many Bangladeshi friends who often take me to different places to try Bangladeshi food. Among all the restaurants I’ve visited, Aladdin Restaurant is by far the best. The food is absolutely delicious, full of authentic flavors, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The service is also very friendly, which makes the experience even better. If you want to try real Bangladeshi food, Aladdin Restaurant is the place I would highly recommend
Amazing Bangladeshi food in Arlington! We tried the beef curry, pomfret masala, and Tehari, and every dish was truly exceptional. The beef curry was rich and tender, the pomfret was perfectly spiced and flavorful, and the Tehari had that authentic Bangladeshi aroma and comfort you can’t fake. Generous portions, great presentation, and warm service. Highly recommend this place if you want real Bangladeshi flavors done right!
The food can't be any better. The halim, roast and tehari every item was top notch. The owner is very hospitable and service was amazing. Definitely will visit again! Highly recommended!
This place deserves a 5 ⭐️ rating as a Bangladeshi restaurant. We tried a few items here. The Halim is a must try 🫶 It was soo flavorful and generous amount of meat (brought some home as well cz it tasted soo good). Pair it up with daal puri and you'll thank me later. The owner was real nice. Checked up on us a few times if we need anything. The waitress (maybe she's pakistani) was so sweet. She suggested to try the freshly baked chicken patties which was super hot n taste okayish for me. We ordered chicken roast (2 pcs, comes with rice/polao), beef tehari and shami kebabs. Honestly speaking i didn't like the roast that much. It was full of raisins n flavor was not the biyebari roast I was looking for. It was rather Pakistani style probably. But if someone likes raisins that's gonna be eid for them. Polao also full of raisins as well. Shami kebab is good. And about the tehari..a strong aroma of mustard oil was coming from it. Having it with green chillies will give you goosebumps of Bangladeshi roadside hotel's Tehari. Finished the meal with a hot 🔥 cup of tea ☕️ Glad they served the tea in a nice ceramic cup rather than serving it on some plastic/one time cups like other places.
Excellent food and service !! We had tehari , chicken roast , Chapli Kabab and shami Kabab. Everything was so delish. Their tea was also good at the end. We will come back again .
We tried authenticate Bangladeshi food, and really liked the mashed potatoes and hilsha. The sweet was super fresh. The atmosphere was great.

This was my first time at Aladdin. Really enjoyed the food!! I got the lamb biryani and it was so good! Definitely will be back soon!
Stepping into Aladdin was like travelling abroad. This smallish restaurant felt like a living room by the home kitchen, with large families sitting together around the tables. It had a friendly, traditional Bangladeshi vibe, clean, casual, with extra fanfare for the Ramadan month. The food was absolutely delicious; way above any regular Indian menu. We ordered the chicken malai tikka kabob and the matar paneer sauce/dish (which is not spinach-based and is extra fragrant and flavorful). The owner treated us to mango lassi, tasty buffet vegetable rolls, potato cakes, and boiled eggs rolled in roasted crust. The prices are reasonable, the whole experience very special. Highly recommended.
If you’re looking for authentic South Asian delicacies, this place is a must-visit. The food is truly authentic, and you can tell everything is freshly prepared and house-made. Each dish tastes like it was made with care and traditional flavors. The restaurant itself is super clean and well-maintained, which makes the dining experience even better. The owner and the staffs are extremely cordial and friendly, and personally made sure my order was taken care of. That level of hospitality really stands out. If anyone wants to try authentic Bangladeshi cuisine, this is definitely the right place. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates genuine, home-style Bangladeshi food.
The beautiful atmosphere and music create an amazing vibe! The hospitality and service was so good! In the cold outside, we found warmth here, the mango lassi and chicken patties were delicious! Our next trip we will definitely order the famous lamp chop, and chicken roast. At the end of the food we enjoy the warm tea! 10/10 experience!!!
Me and my bother came here for dinner and it was pretty good. We got the garlic nans, chicken tiki masala curry, and the lamb biriyani both of which were good. The biriyani was a bit more bland in my opinion compared to the curry but still good. The garlic nans were some of the best I've had in a good while. Just know you will have to pay for water if you want it. Other than that they were pretty quick and the food was good so I would come again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Aladdin Restaurant – A True Hidden Gem! I recently visited Aladdin Restaurant on Lee Highway and was genuinely impressed. This place brings the true taste of authentic Bangladeshi and Indian cuisine to Arlington, and it’s evident that every dish is prepared with care, tradition, and fresh ingredients. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. The staff are polite, attentive, and genuinely interested in making sure you have a great dining experience. The dining area is clean, bright, and comfortable – perfect for both casual meals and family gatherings. Now the food — absolutely outstanding. I tried several dishes and every single one was flavorful and balanced: The Chicken Biryani was aromatic and delicious, with tender pieces of chicken and perfectly seasoned rice. The Beef Curry had that rich, slow-cooked depth of flavor you rarely find outside South Asia. The Tandoori Chicken was juicy inside and beautifully charred on the outside. Their fresh naan and parathas are soft, warm, and perfect for soaking up the gravies. Portion sizes are generous and prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the ingredients and the authenticity of the flavors. For anyone who grew up with Bangladeshi or Indian home cooking, the taste here will instantly feel familiar — like a meal cooked with love. If you’re new to South Asian food, the staff will happily guide you with recommendations based on your spice preferences, which I really appreciated. Overall: Aladdin Restaurant is a true culinary gem in Arlington. Whether you're craving the comfort of homestyle Bangladeshi dishes or simply looking to explore new flavors, this place is absolutely worth visiting. I’ll definitely be coming back — again and again! Highly recommended! ✅
We recently visited Aladdin Restaurant in Washington, DC, and I must say, it was a wonderful experience for anyone who loves authentic Bengali food. From the moment I walked in, I felt a warm and welcoming atmosphere that reminded me of home-style dining. The staff were polite, friendly, and very attentive, making sure everything was perfect throughout my visit. I ordered several Bengali dishes, and every item was full of rich flavor and traditional taste. The rice was fresh and perfectly cooked, the curries were well-balanced with spices, and the fish and meat dishes were tender and delicious. The bhorta, dal, and vegetable items tasted just like homemade food, which is hard to find in many restaurants. The aroma and presentation of the food made the experience even better. What I loved most was the authenticity. You can truly feel that the chefs understand Bengali cuisine and prepare each dish with care. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were reasonable for the quality and taste. The restaurant was clean, comfortable, and suitable for families, friends, or even solo dining. Whether you are missing Bangladeshi flavors or simply want to explore traditional Bengali food, this place is a great choice. Overall, Aladdin Restaurant is a hidden gem in DC for Bengali food lovers. I highly recommend it and will definitely be coming back again.
When I visited DC, I was craving authentic Bangladeshi food and finally found Aladdin. I actually traveled from DC to Virginia just for their food! I ordered teheri, biryani, Mughlai chicken roast, beef haleem, Jali kabab and tea. The food truly reminded me of home — it smelled and tasted like real Bangladeshi cooking. The teheri had good flavor, but I only found two or three small pieces of meat — the rest was mostly rice (disappointing). It tasted nice, but they should definitely add more meat. The biryani was perfect, and the haleem was absolutely delicious. The chicken roast flavor was good too, though it seemed like it had been pre-cooked and reheated in the microwave when we ordered — that made it lose some of its original taste and texture. I think avoiding the microwave would really keep the food more authentic. I also ordered a tea, and they kindly gave me a complimentary one — that gesture and their hospitality were wonderful. Overall, my expectations were mostly met — the flavors took me back to Bangladesh, just wish the teheri had more meat and the food was freshly heated. Rating: 4/5 Highlights: Biryani, Haleem, Hospitality Needs Improvement: Teheri portion balance, microwave reheating
