Delicious restaraunt family managed by Carletto and his wife. Take a mix of starters , all fresh and prepared at the moment ( tartare , russian salad , veel with tuna sauce , trippa, peperoni ). Don ' t miss the risotto with meshrooms or as alternative the tajarin. Second starter the meet with meshrooms or with special sauce and green pepper. Take a dessert from the carel ( bunet , panna cotta ). Carletto and his wife will guide you in a tremendous trip among piemontese specialities.

In one simple word: wonderful place. Traditional and well-cared. Perhaps the atmosphere is a little silent without background music, but the place is nice, the food is delicious and the staff is kind and friendly.

Typical Piedmontese cuisine, well prepared and beautifully presented. The rabbit with arneis sauce was excellent; the meat was very tender and the sauce was flavorful and perfectly blended. The same goes for the pork cheek with Barolo wine! Absolutely divine! The Piedmontese appetizers were also very good. The carpione was perfectly balanced!

Lovely little restaurant just 150m off the beaten path in Asti. The host is a hearty man who loves to serve you good and true food. The best cuisine doesn't require much but only good and fresh ingredients, love and a some skill. Perfectly cooked asparagus with parmigiano for starters, fantastic, homemade pasta with truffle or porcini as a main - and of course dessert from the sinful trolley of sweets 😋 A glass of red, water, coffee - no more than 35 euro per person and you're happy. Totally recommended and would go back again. Thanks!

Piatti a tema tartufi o funghi. Grandissimo il proprietario, molto simpatico. Defilato magari rispetto a posti più centrali, ma almeno si mangia in tutta tranquillità.

Come ritrovare sapori autentici e tradizionali, con una grande cura per la qualità. Il servizio è preciso ed attento, ma al tempo stesso anche molto cordiale e piacevole. Lo stile d'antan del locale è curato e perfettamente in sintonia con l'ambiente. Ottimi gli antipasti e gli agnolotti. Tenere e gustose le carni brasate.

The dishes were good, except for the meat, which, despite being cooked and seasoned very well, was a bit unhappy and rather tough. Very friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere. Excellent value for money.

La location è molto bella gnocchetti al castello magno pappardelle al tartufo un pochino al dentone dolci superiori alla media...tre stelle e mezzo....servizio impeccabile....prezzo poco più alto di una trattoria...ma vale la pena tenuto conto che la saletta è piccola e silenziosa...grazie al proprietario

Today we went to this Osteria in Asti. We ate well, but when we got the bill, we found €85 worth of desserts! The desserts weren't on the menu, so we didn't know the prices! We had three samples of mixed desserts, which were good, but €85 is unacceptable! Be careful!

Restaurant in the heart of the historic center. Wide selection of excellent dishes. I recommend trying the porcini mushrooms and the desserts presented on a trolley. The owner who serves is very friendly.

Good and a bit old fashioned. They serve traditional piemontese food in good quality and offer a great choice of regional wines. Unfortunately the rooms lack atmosphere and the waiters are a tiny little bit too arrogant. You should estimate around 50 Euro/person for a dinner.

Ambiente antico, austero, e SPORCO. Trovato per caso, dopo un primo "NO" categorico, ci siamo accomodati condividendo (senza neanche chiedercelo) un tavolo con altre persone. Per di più, la tovaglia era sporca perché già utilizzata, per non parlare della bottiglia (allegato anche foto). Prezzi elevati, non conformi ai piatti tristi e senza gusto.

Premetto che la cucina è ottima e capitanata da una signora che avrà più di 70 che cucina secondo tradizione e come Dio comanda… ma…. Non si possono fare certi errori in sala ! Niente carta dei vini niente menu scritto e porzioni minime ma ribadisco ottime. Ma come mai a tre tavoli vivici a noi con clienti dall’accento astigiano arrivano il menu con i prezzi ma soprattutto razioni le doppie delle nostre??? Non solo su un tavolo ma su tre mentre su un altro con milanesi trattamento come a noi ? Abbiamo due pesi e due misure ma non sul conto che non è proprio a buon mercato . E no care signore non si fa ! I'll start by saying that the cuisine is excellent and led by a lady who must be over 70 who cooks according to tradition and as God commands... but.... You can't make certain mistakes in the dining room! No wine list, no written menu and minimal portions but I repeat excellent. But how come at three lively tables for us with customers with an Asti accent, they get the menu with the prices but above all portions double ours??? Not just on one table but on three while on another with Milanese people treated like us? We have double standards but not on the bill which is not exactly cheap. And no, dear ladies, it's not done!
