Solid place. Decently fast, good sized portions, ingredients always seem fresh/prepared well. Probably the best place in Astoria for a burrito overall
I love ordering the burrito bowls and the tacos here! The food is always delicious and the service here is great
I love this place. I came here with my friends to chill. And the food was so good. 10/10
Delicious! Tacos are generous and consistent... I often order couple times a week-- they're that good, Order directly and support small businesses doing great work in Astoria. Gracias!
LIC local here who has been mourning the loss of Creek & Cave for 2 years - trying every local western queens mex/burrito spot in hopes of finding a replacement. This is the best one yet! We got the chicken Tinga and a vegetarian burrito and they were superb. First off, they're the size of a small fireplace log. You will not go hungry! The beans were creamy and flavorful. The chicken, tender and spiced. The ratio of lettuce in the burrito was perfect (just a whisper for crunch). I wished for more cheese but I always wish for more cheese. Guac was on point, super fresh. We'll be back!
There food is the best. Omg and the churros are to die for. The fried fish tacos are delicious. 10/10
Absolutely deeelicious! Vegan options for me and non vegan options for the rest of the family. From the tacos to the enchiladas al better than Salerno and better than Orale tacos! Definitely will order again and this place keeps up with their social media which adds to the optimism that this place will do well! This location on 21st street is notorious for unsuccessful food spots but this place will do well!
With out a doubt my new favorite Mexican spot in Astoria. A little of the beaten path at least for me it’s well worth the journey. And now as skeptical as you may be the nachos are the absolute bomb. Haven’t had as good since I was in New Mexico. Aside from that everything else I’ve tried in the menu is amazing from the shrimp tacos to the chicken burrito. I can’t won’t to try their other items and with thier price point I know I will be soo!
Many vegan options. Oyster mushroom taco my favorite. Outdoor seating. They could not tell me the ingredients for the vegan chorizo but I got it anyway and it was delicious.
Ohh how is it that I've not written a review here yet!?! Just when you thought that covid was all soon and gloom, this place was birthed during covid and it's been such a blessing! I had hoped that they served margaritas as well but they didn't (got some from the place across the street that's now not allowed to sell alcohol!). Food is great here and service is also quite nice and I order from them often enough to make it worthwhile. Def check them out.
Best tacos in Astoria - especially for vegan options! A little pricey, but definitely worth it. Easy to dine in or get something to go, and the staff is super nice and helpful.
1 of the best taco spots in astoria. Good drinks. Even better food.
Everything tasted great. I liked the selection especially for vegetarians. Interesting soft drinks. Service was really nice and fast. It's a casual place and I think it's good for a quick bite or takeout.
Absolutely great burritos. I got the TVP Al Pastor burrito in a whole wheat tortilla. Seasonings were just right and burrito was well-packed and decent-sized. The two salsas they give were icing on the cake (a rojo and verde salsa).
Very friendly staff, generous portions, and very tasty (and varied) vegan options! Will be back.
Cutest place in Astoria...was starving, new to area, went on Google n found this place less than a mile from me @ Astoria park...such a great cozy neighborhood grill and food and staff were beyond amazing. True authentic tacos
This place is so amazing I love me a burrito bowl and this spot makes it so amazing!! One of my top 5 places to go to for tacos and burritos! The prices are affordable compared to other tacos spots. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Definitely amazing tacos flavor was delicious quesadillas huge and juicy churros Small but sweet nothing wrong with food only the restaurant itself needs more tables and chairs
Large portions. Fresh, flavorful, not too spicy. Chicken taco and steak burrito (is very large) were excellent. Good variety on menu. Will order again.
Always have a great experience here! Also a go to spot for take out! Food is consistently delicious
We order takeout from here all the time. Great vegan options. Food is always good and fresh.
Carne asada enchiladas & the nachos are my Go to order whenever I’m craving Mexican in astoria from here!! Its 10/10 flavorful, and good portions
Delicious quick tacos!!! Great happy hour margs. A perfect casual neighborhood taco spot
Homey, cozy, casual taco spot. Staff is really friendly, attentive. The menu isn’t overwhelming but offers a good variety of choices including a few vegan options (not something I go for but I rarely see in a more authentic taco spot) quick service and the food was really good and fresh tasting. I had the steak burrito bowl, a steak taco, a fish taco, and loaded steak nachos. Everything was excellent and came out very quickly. There is a good amount of seating with two tables inside, and a bunch of outdoor seating that includes a street outside patio. I would definitely try it again if I’m in the neighborhood. Worth it.
I've been ordering from Astoria Taco factory to satisfy my Mexican food cravings since the pandemic because the food is always delicious and clean (never greasy or soggy). Delivery is always very quick too - my go-to order usually includes the chorizo nachos and al pastor tacos - (ordered again last night) - definitely the best chorizo in town. Finally dined in last weekend and was over the moon with the food and service! I'm originally from LA and am very discerning when it comes to Mexican food. Ordered mole carnitas enchiladas, chorizo tacos, and the Pescaditas app. Literally everything was fantastic - was super glad we tried some new things - will continue to work our way thru the menu since I've never been disappointed by anything we've ordered there. The mezcal passionfruit cocktail was delicious - was very pleasantly surprised to see they have a full bar and delicious cocktails. They have a daily happy hour when dining in - will def start making this a routine thing.
This place is amazing! I come here 3-4 times a week. The food is always fresh and tasty, and I love finding new menu additions like the empanadas. They’re delicious. And of course, the people make the place. Ana for the win!
I haven’t been here in a bit, and was honestly very impressed with my order today. All the tacos were nicely seasoned and meat cooked perfectly. The perfect meal for this summer heat.
A great deal for the money. I live nearby and order from them a lot. The tacos are generously sized and they don’t skimp on fillings. I think this is one of the only places in the neighborhood to get a Baja shrimp taco, and they do a good one!
Great vegan tacos, though I would go with grilled cauliflower over fried/mock fish one! Update: I have been going to this place for vegan tacos and burritos for a few years now, along with non-vegan friends. The food is consistently great!
Their Pozole (soup) is a must have! I want who ever is making it to just cook me a giant pot for the week 😂. Yummy tacos and tortas!!! A bit over priced in comparison to the surrounding Mexican spots, but worth it!
Love love love this place. Weather ur picking up, or dinning in, they have amazing service! I highly recommend their enchiladas but honestly everything on the menu is fire! The prices are also very reasonable, like their serving sizes are larger and can sometimes make two meals aka leftovers. Anyways eat here if you want some really good food
I really enjoy their vegan tacos. Specifically the black bean, cauliflower, poblano pepper, tofu, and tvp al pastor. The chips and guac are solid. The spicy sauces (red and green) for the tacos are also great
If you’re reading this than you probably live in Queens so you’re used to a good meal. But since Eater only likes to mention trendy spots in the city or grocery stores that make burritos (I’ve tried all of them) then I’ll take it upon myself to tell you to eat here. I might be rambling because I’m still intoxicated from the shrimp burrito I just inhaled, but if I hear one more time “I’m from California and..” like bro California is not the golden standard of Mexican food. Burritos means a lot of different things to a lot of people, and this might not take you back to wherever it is you like to tell people you’re from, but it will take you into a food coma and you’ll enjoy getting there.
Great value for the amount of food you get! Got the Al pastor burrito that was delicious and HUGE. They have a nice selection of vegan options which isn't common in a taco place. Can't wait to see how those taste! I have to add that the restaurant was very clean and the staff was very friendly.
The best drinks I’ve had on 21street and Astoria!! The best authentic Mexican food the quality is on point
I loved it. The vegan tacos are delicious. The cauliflower taco, the rajas taco, and vegan chorizo tacos were great. The ELOTÉ was my favorite part. Delicious and fresh. Would definitely recommend the elote. Churros were also fresh and yummy. They have seating, but you order at the counter and they bring it to you. Outside seating and dog friendly. Employees were very nice and helpful. Overall a true 5 star astoria gem!
The food here is absolutely incredible! This is a long overdue review, I have ordered from this place maybe 30 times In the past year... I have not once been disappointed. The seasoning and the quality of ingredients are so freaking good. The perfect spot for authentic Mexican food. Seriously try them.
Exceptional! I picked up food yesterday and didn’t dine in, but the tacos were incredible—fresh, authentic, and savory. I’d love to go back soon for drinks and more food, especially since the atmosphere was so inviting. I also ordered tacos in bulk, and they were neatly packaged and easy to handle on my commute. Plus, they provided more than enough salsa.
I had a great experience at The Taco Factory in Queens! The food was absolutely delicious and you can actually see the chefs cooking everything fresh, which made it even better. I ordered the hard shell (fried) chicken tinga tacos, the carne asada quesadilla, and the barbacoa tacos. Everything was packed with flavor and tasted fresh. The chicken tinga tacos were especially good, and the quesadilla was perfectly cooked with a generous amount of meat and cheese. The service was amazing and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The place also had really good vibes, making it a fun and relaxed spot to eat. On top of that, the prices were very reasonable and the happy hour was a great bonus. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in Queens and craving some great tacos! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hands down the best steak burrito in Queens (maybe even all of NYC). Love that they go the extra step of toasting the burrito on the flat-top at the end!
Really good vegan burritos, tacos and quesadillas. I come here once in a while for lunch. They also have a great beer selection.
PERFECT every single time. The tacos, quesadillas, guacamole and frozen margaritas are amazing. I’ve been here multiple times and it’s always been on point. The quesadillas are massive. The chicken quesadillas and the steak quesadillas are my favorite. Tacos — Al pastor, carnitas, fried fish, grilled fish, grilled shrimp are all amazing.. so much flavor. The Mango margarita is delicious with tajin. Their taco Tuesday deals are always great. Highly recommend!!!
My husband and I often order takeout from here and have never been disappointed. So when we wanted to have a Mexican themed dinner at our small office (25 people) it was a no brainer to order from Astoria Taco Factory. They did not disappoint- they were easy to coordinate with to make a menu (cheese quesadilla, beef tacos, chicken mozz empanadas, esquites, chips and salsa, all the condiments) the food was delicious as always, the presentation was beautiful, and they were on time. They even threw in free churros!
Placed an order for 25 people for a staff meeting/appreciation for my therapists and staff. The food was early, beautiful presented, and delicious. Very easy doing business with them. Everyone enjoyed and there was plenty of food!!! Even got churros! Would definitely order from them again! Totally recommend!!!
Chips and salsa were a hit. I love a good house made salsa and some warm chips! We went on a Tuesday for TACO TUESDAY. Although I had a shrimp quesadilla, the pork tacos were really good as well. The margaritas & sangrias were perfect. There are deals and specials for the food & drinks. Loved this place.
Stopped by on Tuesday for Taco Tuesday and loved the vibe! They had two tempting options: three tacos with any flavor choice or two tacos of their featured flavors plus a margarita. I couldn’t resist the second option, and it did not disappoint! The tacos were delicious, the margarita was spot-on, and the service was top-notch. Friendly staff and great atmosphere made it a perfect experience!
We were actually looking for a different taco spot close by and not ied this cool looking spot. I'm so glad we did stop by because this is truly a gem in the neighborhood. The tacos and burritos were amazing and were full of flavor. The spot is very relaxed and staff were really friendly. This is definitely on my list of places to come back to.
After Going to Astoria I stumbled into Astoria Taco Factory and Thank God that I did. I had the salmon tacos and grilled fish Tacos and they were out of this world. Each time I get a chance to go to Astoria I stop at this place everything is always Fresh the enchiladas of Mole is Must have ! The service is always awesome 👏 and the food is on point. Anyone who ever is in the area of Astoria needs to try this place !
The food and staff here are very good, I’ve been working my way slowly through the menu and enjoy the steak burrito, the grilled fish taco, the spinach and mushroom taco, and the guacamole. It competes with what I’m used to in San Francisco and elsewhere. Definitely recommend.
The taco were flavorful and had all the staples. While the tacos are simple they are well made. This isn't a hipster place or a trendy one that is insta worth but it has good authentic food at a reasonable price point. This is the place to go if you want real Mexican food and want to support a family run business. It was very busy with delivery orders so it took a long time before out food was ready but it was worth it. I got take out here on my way home from a weekend in NYC. I was impressed by the number of vegetarian and vegan options. I got the salmon taco which was $5 and was impressed by the amount of salmon in it. The serving was about 4-5oz or the palm of my hand. Normally when I get salmon at a restaurant and it's the same portion size I'm looking at a minimum of a $20 bill. I also had the black bean taco. My partner got 4 tacos. He got the carnitas which he was disappointed in because it was dry. He also got the carne asada which he really liked. We plan to go there again.
Got the veggie Al pastor burrito and the cauliflower taco delievered. The burrito wasn't distributed well, a lot of the al pastor was on one side and it was really dry. Got better as it went but I'm not super eager to order again. Cauliflower taco was better but kinda pricey.
Tacos al pastor were super dry, tasted like they were cooked last week. Barely any pineapple flavor to them at all.
They were good tacos the only thing that got me was I went in asked to use the bathroom after I ate and one guy looked upset like If I threatened em lmao I was like ok
I like the vibe of this place. They were bumping some upbeat house music when I went. Ive only tried the enchiladas with mole to date and they were OK. The mole was a bit sweet for my taste. It's basically slightly upscale fastfood Mexican - nothing too special, and so my search for great enchiladas in Astoria continues.
This is more like mexican American food ,, or fast food, no plates, tortas with no chile is not a torta, chipotle mayo is not spicy, and is not mexican, carnitas torta taste more like pernil boricua style ,, the tacos al pastor where good just again the salsa they have is just fine, the burrito was ok, the only thing that is A+ is the churros, the place looks nice and clean , and the lady's @ front are super friendly, if they gets better on the food this place is going to rock it
I’m permanently sworn off of Astoria Taco Factory. I have had it probably like 50 times. I’d say 15-20 of those times my order was wrong in some way or entirely. They’ve forgotten my partner’s entire meal before. This past Saturday I ordered a burrito with added corn, requesting no lettuce & no cheese, and a Fanta. It came without corn, with lettuce & cheese, and a Coke. It also had a, literally, 8-inch long cilantro stem in it for the third time, and a lovely little brown hair for the second time. It always has the bay leaves left in it. The seasoning has been so bland and the rice is clumpy like it has been reheated from the fridge/freezer. With the toppings, the bowl is like $23. It’s just not even close to worth it. I’m so done with this place.
The food here is OKAY. I was excited about the vegan Al pastor, and it was a let down. It was crumbles instead of chunks and there was practically no flavor. The barbacao taco wasn’t super flavorful and it was a TON of bay leaves in it! No one wants that. The shrimp burrito bowl was pretty bland and the chicken tinga bowl was semi flavorful but nothing to write home about. The grilled fish taco was good, about the only thing worth ordering.
Food great. But.. they’re thieves I decided not to leave a tip because I served myself. then I got a notification from my credit card company (the restaurant refused to take cash) that I left a 50% tip. so beware going here. I would not recommend spending your hard earned money on these crooks.
Ordered this two nights ago, I got the mushroom bowl and my sister got the cauliflower bowl. Everything was the same except the protein. The next day I woke up throwing up and experienced immense stomach problems, needless to say but I got food poisoning. My guess is the mushrooms since it was the only difference in bowls. Please do not order the mushrooms!!
Ordered a grilled fish burrito and paid for extra meat and there was only a small piece of fish and the rest was a really big serving.... but no fish Really disappointing. I called and spoke to someone and they just said sorry. I asked how much fish is in the serving and was told that they measure it by eye... so I paid extra and didn’t get it pretty much to know they will just give you what they want to. Don’t spend your money here it’s not worth it.
Food was delivered incorrectly with an ingredient that was supposed to be taken out because of an allergy two days in a row. The second day we called to get it delivered again with the correct ingredients. We informed them we used Uber Eats. They called back to ask for our address. TWO HOURS after the food was supposed to be delivered the first time we are told they cannot make the 12 minute drive to deliver it to us after they incorrectly served us an allergen two days in a row. The length of time taken to inform us that the food would not be arriving is unacceptable, unprofessional, and disgusting. Their excuse was we did not tell them we used Uber Eats, which we made clear during the first of three phone calls. Apparently, it requires an hour to discuss the delivery time with the manager before telling the customer they will not be receiving the correct food that they ordered and paid for. Will not be ordering again.
Ordered a burrito bowl but received a burrito. Whatever, just wanted to avoid the hassle and ate it. After paying I realized 20% gratuity was automatically added. Avoid like the plague.
Placed an order through Grub Hub. The delivery person was lost and called me. He did not speak English and I hate to say but my Spanish is very limited. Called the restaurant for assistance and got NONE. They could not help me because it was a 'Grub Hub' issue. Thanks for nothing. Felt sorry for the poor delivery driver. Cancelled order.
Waitress super rude. Today is tuesday 4:36. Superr rude. I order every single day from here a burrito bowl with guacamole never had this issue there is usually a super super nice guy with curls doing the customer service. This girl really will make u guys loose customers.
Their food is good and you get what you’re expecting as far as flavors, but service is something to be desired - ordered from them and they took over an hour to arrive, when they estimate about half an hour. When you call to ask for delivery updates they have no clue.
My order was completely wrong and nothing I ordered was delivered. What I received was different and disgusting food, something that I did not order at all. When I called the restaurant to complain, they blamed the delivery driver, but my order was secured and the bag was closed. The food was dry and terrible. I strongly advise against ordering from this restaurant. If I could, I would give it a "Zero Star" rating.
The food was amazing the atmosphere was good but the customer service sucks I didn’t get any attention til it was time to pay my billl .
I had a pretty bad experience with the quality of food here. Ordered nachos with steak and a couple of tacos only going off of 4.9 star reviews on UberEats, which are obviously inflated. Tacos contained what felt like small bones, had to constantly spit them out. Nachos had what looked like grape stems (or some other stems). On top of that the meat tasted horrible, very cheap and nothing like steak. There are better options for quality Mexican in this neighborhood, so please do your research and avoid this place, unless you like cheap, low quality and extremely processed food. Not ordering from here ever again.
We returned to this restaurant after enjoying our first visit, but our experience this time was quite different. The waitress was extremely hostile when my friend asked her a simple question. She then proceeded to ignore us, forcing us to knock on the window to get her attention. We were left without napkins, and she was in the corner, yapping instead of assisting us. The food was good, but we didn’t really enjoy it. They can do better
I ordered via Uber eats on 09/20. Two shrimp tacos, elote and an order of rice and beans. The only edible thing here was the rice and beans. Had the corn first and it smelled and tasted rancid. I thought might have been the ingredients so I skipped it without a second thought. I bit into the shrimp taco and there were so many things wrong with it I couldn't point out the exact cause. Fried shrimp was burnt and rubbery. Corn tortilla tasted stale. I took the taco apart and found the tortillas to be moldy. I was disgusted as I had eaten half. I reached out directly to the store before I contacted Uber eats as a courtesy. Maybe they would have been willing to correct it. Nope...the gentleman told me it's not mold, the color is from the purple cabbage. Pretty insulting if you ask me. I added the photos. You be the judge...mold or cabbage??
I use to order from here a lot but they've gotten progressively worse with their food quality. Our last order was DISGUSTING, there was a LONG PIECE OF YARN in the burrito (yes, yarn), and it was about a foot and a half long. I pulled it out when I took a bite of the burrito. Word of advice, if you've ordered in the past like I have, do NOT order from here anymore. Or continue to order and roll the dice, it's your money and well being at stake at the end of the day. This place TOTALLY SUCKS. There are so many better taco spots in this area.
