Love this place! .. I don't live in the neighborhood but drop in there for breakfast whenever I'm at my cousin's place who lives there.. so have always found it to be busy and that says it all about it.. I like to have California omlette for breakfast here which is AMAZING!! .. reasonably priced.. more than enough serving for one person.. bagels are big so be careful of what you order.. availability of all kinds of milk .. you can surely count on this place if you walking around and hungry! 🙃
Best Bagel place in Queens! I've been working in Queens for 15 years never came across such an amazing place like this. Its not only bagels its a whole lot more. They have amazing food and the atmosphere is more like Soho NYC than Broadway Queens. Hopefully they have delivery soon, everybody I know in queens would 100% order breakfast and lunch from there. Place is spotless! Great new place in queens, hopefully its around for a long time!
Good atmosphere, staff is friendly and many different types of bagels! Some of the bagels are pretty thick (if you like that) but I prefer them scooped out. Fast service too.
This is my go to local bagel spot. It is a long walk (50 minutes total) but it is so worth it from my everything bagel with egg and cheese. The bagels are massive. I usually come on long days so i can have half the bagel for breakfast and then the other half for lunch. You can also get the mini bagel if you want to have a smaller breakfast.
Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and mouthwatering dishes! The pasta was al dente, and dessert was a heavenly finish. Highly recommend!
I swear that I did not know my love for the bagel went so deep until I ate here. It started as a quick bite when I visited my then-girlfriend in Astoria. On my weekend visits we'd go here at least twice. Well, now we're married. Was it the bagels that made that happen? I can't rule it out.
I love this place. Great bagels, good coffee and lots of seating for Wi-Fi users. The selection of cream cheeses and spreads in similar to the amount they have at Brooklyn Bagels, and the other food they have are awesome too. The atmosphere is always good and they usually have a good playlist playing.
Love this fairly new, trendy bagel restaurant! So far, the avocado smash on a mini bagel, {which doesn't seem at all 'mini' to me;~}, and the chipotle chicken salad are my favorites... Can't wait to try some other items!
You have to give this place a try. Beside all the variety of bagels and fillings, the cakes, cookies, scones and other goodies will tempt your taste buds. The associated are friendly and the prices are good. Try it, you'll like it..
I so happen to pass by and let me say I wasn't disappointed. These bagels are so delicious. They even have flat bagels if you dont want the typcial breading on the bagels. Had me a sausage egg and cheddar cheese and it wasnt greasey the egg was cooked well. Im not from around here but I definitely will go back.
Tracy and myself have been here 2x already-And the staff are just extraordinaire! They never failed to impressed me and my friend. The service is quick, right on point; and of course the freshness of there smoothie (which my friend & I recommend the 4 berry), is just tasty and refreshing especially for this humidity lately. I also noticed that the owner of this place has very good people personality. He's been showing lots of modestness to his clients. Greeting them as he is around. I must say, his values show towards the people he hire, too ; the food he serves, and the hip & trendy ambience he brings to his New York City Bagel Coffee House. All in all, this place has earned the trust of one of the best critique in the hospitality industry. And I can't wait to share this place to my friends in Manhattan so that they can experience the same way I did. Have a fabulous day to each and everyone here!
Great place, lovely bagels. I got a mini lox and cc bagel, and it was surprisingly well-packed with lox. The bagel sandwich I got was 15$, but for how delicious it was, I don’t mind. Service, food, and ambiance are all great, and there’s outdoor seating as well.
My favorite bagel place in the city. French toast bagel with bacon egg and cheddar is simply perfect. Coffee and staff are all top notch as well. A couple of the owners are usually around on Saturday mornings and they always say hello. Couple other highlights - very kid friendly - the window into the baking area can keep even the most energetic kids attention for a few min - good rotating selection of special spreads
This place has a efficient and effective ordering system. The bagels are the biggest and the best I’ve had in any of the 5 boroughs. I actually will travel here from Staten Island every now and then (originally found it while working in the area for about a year) the coffee is also very good
I had breakfast here which consisted of a bacon, egg, and cheese on a plain bagel along with an iced coffee. The food and coffee were really good and ready pretty quickly considering how many customers they had at the time. I was able to find a seat right after ordering, but it quickly got busy and filled up. There is outside seating available under an awning. The location is decorated like a hipsters living room.
Absolutely recommend. My go to coffee shop. I always get an iced latte and love it every-time.
My favorite bagel shop in NYC, bar none. Top notch, large bagels and good coffee, with a cool vibe. They also have the best vegan tofu cream cheese I've ever tasted - nearly indistinguishable from dairy cream cheese. Gluten-free bagels are available, but be advised that they're a third of the size of the regular bagels, and slightly more expensive.
One of the best bagel house I have been to. the toppings are amazing the the bagels are massive and cooked just right. Even when there's a line outside the door within 10 minutes you're done and it's worth the wait.🤗
Huge bagels with a variety of spreads, in addition to sandwiches, pastries, and other baked goods. The coffee is solid, and the patio area (covered) is a great place to sit when the weather is nice out. If you’re inside, they have two TVs that cycle through Disney classics and other old shows. Just as a note: I would appreciate the staff being more strict about smoking near the patio though, as the last two times I’ve gone, groups have decided to light up a few steps away from the outdoor tables, which was rude and detracted from the experience.
Best Breakfast spot in Astoria. Quick, grab & Go spot.
Incredibly accommodating and kind staff! Called ahead to confirm allergy provisions and received a prompt response. While at the restaurant the staff continued to accommodate further allergy questions and found something that worked. And finally, great food and great coffee!
AWESOME BAGEL! On a serious note the best bagels are in LONG ISLAND. If you know you know. It’s rare to see that quality bagel in NYC but they’ve accomplished that here. They’re HUGE! And the cream cheese selection is AMAZING and vegan friendly options keep me happy!
Wonderful! I read its not a place to work, quietly and peacefully. Well easy to remedy, stay home. Todays world is about the here and now. Work spaces are to collaborate and its a place of vibrancy. This is how this generation works. High speed, sometimes noisy, lots going on at once. NYBCH caters to that ethos. They give pulse and life. This is a new world. Glad they are here. The owners out lots of thought and effort into creating joy. I appreciate what they have created good food, space, they play different music throughout the day, have TV screens, ambience! Love it.
NYC Bagels always had gluten free bagels but they've recently changed the recipe and the new gluten free version is a DRAMATIC improvement. The gf bagels are now larger and overall have a much better texture. They have a nice chewy inside that tastes good even without toasting them. Thanks for the new and improved gf product, NYC Bagel!
Always amazing bagels, cream cheese flavors, coffee/tea. Overall favorite in the area
Just went here for the first time ever last week and I went back this morning to grab something to have breakfast in the park. Their blueberry scones are delicious and the bagels and spreads are delish! The smoothies are sadly not home made, but good anyways. It gets very busy here on the weekends so bring some time
Love this place, I order LUX and they always put lots of lux inside compared to other places, recommended.
I came in during closing and the workers were so kind!! They helped me despite being closed and the bagels are SO delicious!! (They even threw in an extra bagel!) I’ll be coming back for more, for sure!!!!! I highly recommended this place to everyone and will be bringing friends here!
Had the bagel with jalapeños and cheese with tuna, with fresh squeezed orange juice so good. We were a party of four people. The only thing is we wanted to dine in which we did, but all the tables that could hold us was taken up by people of one on their laptops.Eat and go so other ppl can eat and go. Thank u.
Lovely space for a bite. There is lots of seating with nice, warm wood touches to the interior. There was a tv playing some movie on mute which doesn’t seem necessary because the speakers were playing music. I got a bagel toasted with cream cheese and it was great. Not too massive a bagel, not too much or too little cream cheese, no judginess about getting it toasted. Good stuff. Would def go back.
My family and I have been going visits this bagel shop for over 5 years. It’s never disappointed us or lacked in quality. They have these soft huge bagels and are not shy with the serving of cream cheese. Variety of options with the cream cheese flavors. Great spot to eat breakfast, work and dog friendly.
Must Must Must!! Amazing selection for small bagels. Staff are welcoming. Great options for different cream cheese flavours. You have many option to make a healthier version with lean meats (turkey). **first must try to classic New York - eggs, cheese and bacon, then enjoy creating! Coffees are also strong and yum
Bagels are fresh and delicious. I ordered 12 and 2 were free. I had everything, egg, cinnamon raisin, plain, and onion. Soft and delicious
Loved the experience we had here! These are the best bagels I have ever had (all over the world). I also loved our cashier, she was so sweet and really gave us a warm welcome! In case management reads these reviews: I never got the cashier's name but we came in on Wednesday July 17 evening around 6:45pm. Thank you for such a great experience!
PERFECT. My review is based on a breakfast they catered for my school. Bagels, muffins, egg sandwiches and coffee--everything was excellent. We have a hard to please staff, got NO complaints only praises. We're definitely using them again next year. Plus, they were super-professional and really easy to deal with. I can't wait to go in for brunch!
The Devil works hard but NYC Bagel & Coffee House works harder. Get a bagel here, it's perfect. The food is so good, and they are so professional- this is a place that has mastered the craft of bagel service. A line out the door will still get you walking away with your exceptional bagel in 20 minutes. This place is so well-managed and staffed too, really- there's like 8 people behind the counter grinding, 3-4 in the back churning out fresh bagels and eggs/hot sandwiches. I'm extremely thankful that this place is in walking distance to me- I'm willing to walk farther than TWO other bagel places every time without hesitation. BEC- here always Cream Cheese- they have like 20 varieties Getting a dozen- great choice, reasonable cost Tuna-Bagel People: the tuna salad mix they have is tasty, but is on the less firm side if sandwich filling retention is a big factor for you in Tuna-Bagel Evaluation I don't drink coffee but I'd assume its also great based on the amount of people willing to wait in the bagel line for it. They are already 250 orders in by 11am on a Sunday. Search no more! You've found the best option.
Welcoming neighborhood bagel and coffee spot. Proper New York bagels that are fresh and delicious. Served me an amazing and enormous fresh lox bagel that weighed a ton and I couldn’t finish so took the rest home for lunch. If bagels aren’t your thing, this place also has a huge range of hot and cold drinks, pastries and desserts.
One of my favorite breakfast places ever! Seriously good coffee. They aren't just limited to breakfast though, so in for lunch too! I usually get an everything bagel, but they have a wide selection! Ham and egg breakfast sandwich is great!! I especially like the lox bagel. That would be my number one pick! Definitely one of the best way noms around, don't miss out on this one!
This is my preferred bagel spot in the neighborhood. After moving out from Manhattan at the beginning of the year - a new choice bagel spot was necessary! And I found it! Generally quite busy in the weekend morning rush. You will probably be lined up for 10-15mins to order. Food service is fast though! Bagels a generally a good size and smeared with ridiculous amounts of flavored cream cheese. My go-to is a toasted everything with bacon scallion cream cheese. There is a good 2x dozen flavored cream cheese so you will find something you like. There is also a cookies, pastries, and barista-made coffee. Enjoy!
I walked to five different places, and I finally found this gem. Not only did I have the garden omelet with added bacon and peppers, I also had a hot pumpkin spice coffee. I didn't even need any creamer. Okay, I did put three packets of sugar. But still! Customer service was superb. There are so many different options. If I lived in the area, this would be a go-to spot. If you're getting off the subway, check this place out. You will not regret it, I promise. Go above and beyond for your customers, and they will do the same!
I love the bagels from here. They are always fresh! The everything bagel is so tasty and not as salty as other places I have visited before.
Great service and amazing bagels. The staff member accepted my request for 2 cream cheese options on the same bagel. Unfortunately my order was slightly wrong but the staff member quickly made us a new one at no charge. We really enjoyed our last bagel in NYC - thanks for the memories. Highly recommend this busy store.
I love you New York City Bagel & Coffee House. I have never visited the store but they are my go-to DoorDash order when I am not feeling well and need a little coffee and egg on a bagel. You guys sure can whip up a bagel sandwich.
Hands down the BEST bagel around, quite possibly the best I've ever had. They are not only the biggest bagels but the most fresh, fluffy texture, ever. The bagels flavors are endless just as the cream cheese flavors they have available. If bagels aren't your thing, this is still a wonderful cafe as they have endless pastries, bread, and more. The line moves very quickly for as busy as they always are. The atmosphere is also wonderful. Highly recommend the jalapeno cheddar bagel with jalapeno cheddar cream cheese! The blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese is in close second (this is the one in my photo).
A little pricey for certain things, but really quick service, delicious. Unbelievable muffins, sometimes they mess up your order because of how quick they serve so always check it. Get the mini bagels because regular sized bagels are huge.
Great bagels and FANTASTIC service. The line moves fast, and there's no confusion. Their game is tight. Add to that the overall pleasant atmosphere — it's bright, airy, and roomy. Pro tip: find convenient electric outlets under the banquette seats!
NYC Bagel and Coffee House is a great open café that was filled with families, and students on lap tops at 9pm. The environment is part sports bar/coffee house. Two big screens with the soccer game were playing. I liked the sand art, and the Edison light fixture. The service was very friendly and efficient. We ordered post-dinner desserts. The desserts were ok. The strawberry shortcake was fluffy and light, had a good amount of sweet macerated strawberries. Bits of the yellow cake were a little dry and tasted unsweetened in certain spots. But it was great for 9pm cake. The best dessert was the toasted apple cheese strudel. It was flaky, crispy and chunks of cinnamon apple. We all wished we ordered this one. One of our friends ordered the Belgian waffle and she was disappointed in the pricing and the crispiness.
I have been a customer here for years and I’ve always thought it was a little expensive, but good quality! But why am I paying over $8 for a bagel now. I can’t justify that amount anymore. Please lower your prices!
Great bagels fresh, good flavorcustomer service and clean place. They use apple would bacon which taste awesome, eggs well cook and different choose of bagels. Coffee options is good here and taste good fresh made not old coffee like other places. Overall this place is great for everyone vegan and organic people.
Came here in the morning with a group of 5 and we were able to find a seat at the big table. I consider ourselves lucky seeing how packed this place gets on the weekends. I tried their mini sesame bagel with cinnamon walnut raisin spread and mini everything bagel with lox spread. I had both bagels toasted and it came out perfect. It wasn't over toasted and I didn't taste any burnt areas. I liked the cinnamon spread with sesame bagel combination. The spread wasn't overly sweet and they even added cinnamon powder to it. I didn't mind it at all. I preferred the stronger taste. I thought the amount of spread to bagel ratio was perfect for me. I would definitely recommend this combination to others. As for the everything bagel with lox spread. The lox spread was tasty and you could taste the salmon. This spread didn't have chunks of salmon in it but I wish some tiny pieces would be mixed in throughout. I also thought this combination worked well. Salmon flavor is so strong that I think the everything bagel somewhat tones it down a bit. I would recommend this to others. For drinks, I got the strawberry smoothie. It was quite refreshing. Didn't taste any ice chunks. It wasn't too sweet. Didn't have any unwanted powdered additives. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It wasn't too watered down and had a decent viscosity to it. I would recommend it. This place has so many different types of spread that it is hard to decide. I do like the consistency of their spread and it isn't too heavy on the cheese side. It's a good balance between the cheese and whatever they plan to mix with it. They have a window towards the back and you can see them hand roll the bagel before boiling it then baking it. A very streamlined process and the kitchen is kept somewhat clean and neat. The staff were friendly and paid attention to your orders. There were 2 people working the cashier and taking your orders while 4-5 other people were preparing the orders. I saw two dogs walk through this store without any trouble. I am assuming this place is dog friendly and I do appreciate that. Granted those dogs were small dogs. I will try and bring a big dog next time and see what they say =P One huge plus, they accept credit cards!! I am not a fan of bagel places that do not accept credit cards =D Overall I would recommend this place and will definitely be coming back to try other spread and bagel combinations.
Great bagels, too much cream cheese, but overall a great crust on the bagel and soft interior of it! Sandwiches are good too. Coffee is ok.
Great place, awesome bagels. Excellent service Food is on point. Coffee is a bit to strong for me. I would recommend everything there, no complaints. And the owners are very involved they show up talk to their employees etc..
Great bagels great egg sandwich a bit pricey plenty of tables and chairs inside and out
Good bagels and place to eat, staff is friendly! My only qualm is the prices - I paid like $20 for half a dozen bagels and a small tub of cream cheese. But I suppose that’s the economy these days as well.
Delicious bagel sandwiches and pastries! I've been coming here for years (23rd Street Astoria). The service is uptight... definitely could be friendlier. They waste a lot of bags and napkins on orders that are to stay... please offer trays or plates for in house dining. Please turn up the heat... it is chilly inside! Otherwise this is my favorite bagel place in Queens. Two thumbs up!
New York City Bagel & Coffee House is a great spot with a couple of caveats. The bagels are truly exceptional — fresh, chewy, perfectly baked, and easily some of the best around. The service is consistently good too, with staff who are friendly and keep things moving smoothly even during busy hours. The only downside is the coffee. Unfortunately, it tastes burned and doesn’t match the quality of the food. If they improved that, the experience would be close to perfect. Overall, fantastic bagels and solid service make it worth a visit — just maybe skip the coffee.
Local bagel spot in the neighborhood that has so many different bagel an cream cheese options you might need a few mins to decide. I only took off 1 star because I order the same iced coffee with Hazelnut an the waitress that made it on Saturday the coffee was just how I liked it, but on Sunday a different person made it ans I had to asked 2 times for more hazelnut flavoring. Overall great breakfast bagel and coffee spot on the weekends. They do have outdoor seating an it's both kid friendly and pet friendly. They do have a water bowl for the dogs here. Best part is the bagels are always fresh, they're huge and if there is a line here it moves pretty fast. Snagging a table on a busy weekend can be a challenge too! I'll be back ❤️
5.99 for a bagel with lox spread. Pricey one might say. I would absolutely agree. But trust me it is well worth it. I would definitely rank NYCB & CH one of the top 5 bagels in New York. The staff at the 23rd Ave location in Astoria was somewhat cold and aloof on an early Saturday morning compared to my first visit the same time 2 weeks prior. I gave 4 stars simply because you cannot deny the food and coffee are beyond excellent. I will continue to pop in from time to time and update my reviews according. I will also beginning reviewing local establishments in the area on a regular basis for our followers and subscribers
The bagels are good! Two things though: they need to turn the oven up a notch when they melt the cheese on a BEC. Always barely melted which is a crime. Also someone needs to tell them this is a coffee shop/restaurant and not a beach in Ibiza. No one wants to listen to that music that loud while enjoying what is probably their breakfast.
I used to love NYCBCH as it was a very relaxing place with friendly staff, but not nowadays. Two staff kept chatting and never looked at me for a while. I had to say excuse me to interrupt their conversation. They looked so annoyed and unwilling to take my order. I felt like I did something wrong. I also observed them noticing that they differentiated their attitudes depending on the customers. Very unpleasant. I also would like to say that all of the people in the kitchen are always working hard with passion. Hope my experience was just temporary.
10$ for a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel, that’s very Mid, if it’s convenient go for it. But don’t go out of your way. I will say, they had very speedy service. While they were busy, they pushed out 2 BEC in less than 5 minutes.
Unlike their counterparts down the broadway, this branch does not seem to offer much quality in comparison. The first time we went, we could not get gluten free bagels. The second time i bought 3 to take away. These were hard as rocks the next day even though we kept them proper . They should just not sell them.
so overpriced. if im gona pay $4 for a small chocolate croissant- at the very least -dont serve a nasty stale one. on a positive note the coffee is ok!
It’s been months since I went here since my coffee orders are never correct. Specifically Red eyes, which are on their menu, but nobody knows how many espresso shots go into one. Getting a red eye with 3 shots is pretty much impossible. I’ve never been able to do it. Today’s experience: “Give me a large red eye with an extra shot of espresso.” I was charged for 1 red eye (2shots) and an extra shot of espresso (that makes 3). I was given 1 shot total. So, I guess I paid extra for them to take a shot away? I hate these long reviews, they seem so petty, but it’s seriously so bad. Dudes, coffee is in the name of your shop.
This is the most Astoria story ever. I went to an overhyped bagel shop and paid $17 for a bagel sandwich and orange juice. They had no vegetarian menu item and when i asked the counter woman suggested broccoli on my bagel because it’s a vegetable. The bagel was stale, and they did not toast it as I requested, and the sandwich fell apart when i tried to eat it. But they were nice enough to give me a protective hot sleeve for my plastic cup of orange juice.
First, don't ever get lox in a bagel here. It's a tub's worth of cream cheese and ONE slice of Lox (that's probably not even wild caught so not sustainable). The lox also has a weird, indescribable texture. Secondly, what kind of coffee shop doesn't have decaf coffee?!?!!! Third, and most important, it's a VERY wasteful place whose employees know nothing about reducing it. Does anyone really need those little plastic pieces for their hot coffee lids? No. Do you really need the paper sleeves? No. And I can guarantee you no one is recycling these once they step out of the shop. This place doesn't even promote recycling. No recycling bins anywhere and they definitely don't educate their employees on wastefulness. I can't believe they still have plastic straws. Everyone is switching to paper. Le Pain's plastic cups are even biodegradable and their paper cups compostable and/or biodegradable. But back to their food. Their bagels have also been raw sometimes (the dough doesn't spring back when pressed), their everything bagels...well everything rubs off the minute they touch it so by the time you get it, it's a plain bagel.
What happened to NYCBCH? I have been going there since they first opened their first store. The owner was always there making sure everything was done right. Lately any of their stores I have been visiting are all disappointing. There used to be no better bagel in all of NY and no better coffee. Bagels got half of the size they used to be and the consistency is off. I get better bagel at a random deli down my apt. Their coffee is also not what it used to be. Any espresso based coffee is watery and weak. I hope it will go back to what it once was. When you have something really good going on why change it?
Had the egg and cheese with a smear of tofu scallion cream cheese on a garlic bagel. The bagel was quite chewy.🤔Loved the sandwich though and the melty cheese hit the spot. Update 2024: FOUND HAIR TWICE in my bagel. Once in my cream cheese and the other on my bagel. Stay cautious!!
Today I decided to buy bagel at this shop and it was the worst. I come home and seeing that they gave me a bagel that I didn’t order and the muffin was old and almost rotten. It had a smell to it. It was not worth it at all to spend money here. This is just frustrating to pay for something and then you don’t get what you payed for.
Sometimes it’s great, but more than once I will order an omelette off the menu and get something different. It’s like they ran out of an ingredient. Happened today. This should not happen on a weekend morning. I get it that substitutions might happen once in a while, but let the customer know in advance. $20 for an omelette and potatoes and I didn’t even get the omelette I wanted. Not happy about it.
I would like to share the most awkward experience I have ever had in this bagel shop. I come with my daughter every week and order the small banana peanut butter smoothie. The smoothie is made in front of you so I always see how it’s made. 1 banana 1 scoop of peanut butter. Milk honey and ice. Now the strange experience. I went on a day this time with my wife and kid and she expressed interest in the smoothie so I said ok how about a large this time. I figured hey a little over a $2.00 difference but seems like more is better for sharing right? Happen to be watching over the counter and I watch the barista make the smoothie the following way. 1 banana 1 scoop of peanut butter Milk Honey But this time double or triple the amount of ice. I think to myself now that’s insane to pay more for just more ice so I take a sip and lo and behold. It tasted like an ice smoothie with zero flavor. I presented my distaste for it to the cashier. And here is where the rudeness presented itself. Saying we will remake it. I said but how will you remake it. Obviously with more banana and peanut better right. I’m not going to pay 2.50 more for just more ice to fill the cup. The response was if I want more banana I would have to pay the 1.25 for the extra banana. I replied isn’t that what the up charge for the size difference is. To already pay for the fact that you are suing more ingredients… I’m not paying for triple ice lol Anyway I felt like it was a prank out of an episode of Seinfeld. So I just asked for a refund. The cashier then proceeded to process the refund in cash as I saw on the receipt. But told me it would be returned to my card. Working for a payment processor I told the individual it will not go back on the card as you ran it as a cash refund. The attitude came out and basically they told me I am wrong. Well 3 days later guess who was correct. The full amount was charged. So now I had to go back an additional day to go get the cash refund that I was told would be on the card. The employee obviously did this on purpose. As I got snickered at upon returning. I want to personally thank the cashier for really showing me who’s boss and laying out that “I will show him” mentality. You really showed me
I made a request to ask for creamcheese on my lox bagel because last time I got an almost dry one. Happened again, manager didn't care and had a similar bad attitude. Take the walk to Brooklyn Bagel instead. $16.50 for barely a smear is ridiculous. Lol, went back for a plain bagel with cream cheese months later. Still got a dry bagel. What is with them and hoarding their cream cheese?!
ZERO STARS. They always send you the wrong order. I just received someone else order. Doordash is garbage so NYC Bagel and Cofee! Delivered wrippedd open bag. Stay away from this nightmare.
Been loyal to this place for 10 years. They forget to put the smoked salmon in my bagel. I told them they refuse to refund me and treated me as I was lying. Never going again will go to Brooklyn Bagel instead.
I remember when this place opened, instantly became my favorite place for breakfast even after I moved out of Astoria, but lately I’m very disappointed. They used to be generous with portions, and bagels were on a bigger size, but now it is the opposite. I ordered twice within last month and both of those times I feel like I overpaid, bagels have become small, tofu with scallions, which is $2 extra for scallions, barely any of scallions in that tofu, and when it comes to tofu spread, really, like do you even call that a spread, barely any of it is on that bagel. Last time I ordered a Latte, the cup was only half filled, and no nothing was spilled. Place is not cheap, but I wish at least I received what I paid for rather than feeling like I was robbed. I am done with this place, Sad.
