I wandered in here on my way to the city, it turns out they have some of the best muffins I have ever had. The blueberry muffin was simply out of this world delicious.
THE BEST! essential to Astoria !
Love the cookies!! Everyone is very welcoming and they have convenient hours. Lucky to have this bakery in the neighborhood. Rainbow Cookies👌🏽
Clean and decent bakery. The staffs were friendly and attentive. I ordered some goodies and they were moist and delicious.
Beautiful local bakery and amazing coffee
Legendary bakery. Still hand roll their bread. Such a gem.

Amazing place! Firs of all and the most important for me- the staff so nice and kind. They have all kind of spacial cookies breads and cakes- everything delicious! And of course Fair prices .
Ah, Parisi, who can hate this place?! Bread you will love without even butter. My husband would buy an extra loaf to nosh on the ride to Grandma's 😂
One of the best bakeries in NY. Delicious, fresh baked bread, can never get enough! Amazing variety of baked goodies and desserts as well!
Great little Italian bakery in Astoria, made me feel like I was at my grandma's house. Different types of bread made fresh each day and the pastries were amazing
Their cake was gone in seconds; it was delicious and I will be going back for sure! Also the service was wonderful; you felt taken care of immediately. Would definitely recommend!
Pastry are always fresh and tasty. I love the chocolate croissants, filled with loads of chocolate. Very friendly staff. No long waiting or line. One of the best
Home made, delicious pumpkin pie! I'm addicted! Bread, still warm, delicious. I tried their muffins. Also delicious:) deserts, not too sweet, nicely balanced.
One of the last original Astoria Bakeries on Broadway. Fresh Italian bread daily and other pastries. Hot coffee and teas. Great for a fast treat or breakfast on the go.
great quality goods for a good price. The staff is also very nice!
Great little bakery and my every day stop for coffee. Conveniently located by the train. Wonderful fresh bread also delicious eclairs and cookies.
A very welcoming neighborhood bakery. I come to here to buy the special pork bread and raisin walnut bread. The puff is awesome! People are very friendly here.
I love this place. My mom who recently passed away had been going here for over 40 years. I still go when in the city to get cookies and bread like mama used to get
Fresh bread, great pastries and a wide selection of cookies. The hot cocoa is not to be missed. Great warmer on a fall/winter day.
Awesome bakery.. try to round white bread and Adam slice it up for you! A little olive oil, a dash of salt and pepper and you're off to the races!
Love going to Parisi Bakery even though I moved out of Astoria it is my spot 🍪🎂🍰🥧☕💞. I ve going with my familia many years especially there Linzer & 🌈 cookies 😊💞 can't get enough
I used to go to this bakery every once in a while, on a Saturday or Sunday morning, before catching the N train at the Broadway station, going into Manhattan. I wanted to bring my Abuela a couple of loaves of semolina bread, to go with the coffee or hot chocolate, and aged Gouda, that was waiting for me at her house. The loaves had soft, chewy centers, and were still warm although the trip was an hour and a half long. She loved that bread, and I'm sorry that she passed away three years ago, and I couldn't bring her more before she passed, after all these years. She was 103. Last I lived in L. I. C. was 32 years ago... I went to the bakery Easter eve, had some semolina bread and happy thoughts!
I don’t know about many things at this shop, but my roommate and I love their cheesecakes. They are an Italian baker and also my Italian friend knew this place. Once she wanted to buy a whole cheese cake for her friend’s birthday, and looking for the best option which suited on her budget. She was i midtown and tried to check some places, but she ended up buying at Parisi and very satisfied with that. When I had some for the Valentine’s Day, I think they had a decorated one with strawberries on top on it. This time she couldn’t find it but had a option to put candles on it. Good tasty and reasonable, just right off the subway. Perfect local cheesecake in Astoria. (They do other cakes and breads too)
Stopped in before our long road trip back home. Ladies behind the counter were very friendly and patient with us as we selected our treats for the road. Tomato/basil loaf was delicious! Coffee was good too!!!
We love getting birthday cheesecakes at Parisi. I also enjoy their individual bakery treats. It's right off the Broadway Astoria subway.
Good stuff. I could eat their pumpernickel rolls for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!
Best bakery! Everything is delicious!
Lovely family owned bakery. Wonderful bread and pastries. Every year we get our holiday pies here. Feels like a neighborhood store.
As much as being in Astoria gives you access to a bakery on almost every block at minimum, I find most of them to be average at best and use cheap ingredients. On the other hand, Parisi stays true to how a bakery should be - their cookies are second to none in the area - I journey there frequently just to get them
Parisi is my favorite bakery in Astoria and one of the top bakeries in Queens. The pumpkin pie is to die for, a traditional variety that's not too soft or too sweet. An amazing selection of pies, pastries and breads; so I can never just pass it over. Conveniently located under the N train.
The bread is great. I believe they supply all the Greek carts in the area. The bread is fresh and they have a good selection of types / sizes of bread. I haven't had anything else but bread from here so I can't speak to their coffee.
This is the best gem in all nyc. The croissant and chocolate croissant are delicious. Fair prices. Genuine kind staff. Great espresso.
Astoria bakery has a flavor of the old being there for so many years and an aroma of fresh delicious breads and Assorted cakes that bring to the neighborhood superb quality in products and traditional pride in all they sell. Try it you won't be disappointed
I really like this place. The quality of their products is great, prices are very fair and they can’t be better handling your food. Every time they help a customer and collect the payment they put a new set of plastic gloves to help the next customer. I highly recommend this place.
Parisi is a great place ! Love there apple pies that are at $15 ! Idk why I see people saying $40. They are at $15 🙂. Very fresh ! Best to go in the am where the bread is warm 🔥! I love going Tuesday in the afternoon where the ladies are more nicer 🥰🥰 !!! They explain what each bread has!
A must visit every time I’m in Astoria, the food and the people, just amazing!!!
My family has been coming here for many many years. Whenever I’m in the neighborhood, I always make it a point to stop in to load up on bread, rolls and box of black & white and lizer tarts cookies. Quick and efficient service.
I went here because I needed to pick up a dessert for my mom’s birthday and this was right by my train station. When I opted for the cannolis I did not expect to eat the most mouthwatering and scrumptious cannolis ever. They hand-pipe it right then and there. Tastes so fresh, not too sweet, and chocolate chip ratio is perfect. 100% recommend the cannolis.
Nah it's a great place love their baguettes and the workers are always nice. Not too expensive. Def support local bakery in queens!
The women who work here are just the sweetest. Always come here to get cookies for my family. Very lucky to have this spot in the neighborhood.
Been buying bread here since 1970s.. that's as far back as I can remember. Came back to visit the neighborhood. Parisi should become a historic landmark. Keep making the best baked goods and thank you.
Im writing this to hopefully gain the attention of the owners/bakers of this establishment. You have a bakery in a neighbourhood were a large amount of the population has grown up with traditional sourdough bread. Meaning the standards in terms of bread, are pretty high. So deciding not to make that in this neighborhood is a horrible mistake. And the owner/management should reconsider. Every time I step in, I am overwhelmed with disappointment, because everything is just the same in terms of texture and flavor. You claim to make “sourdough” bread, but what you make is NOT sourdough bread, because clearly you have skipped a few steps to hasten the process of making it. Therefore creating a weak and non-existent crust. I assure you that if you make the smart decision and craft REAL sourdough bread, you will have LINES in your bakery wanting it and eventually selling out of it on a daily basis. I have to ride to Brooklyn to get proper sourdough bread, because the bakeries in ASTORIA, have failed miserably to make proper bread
I came here to pick up some last minute baked goods for Easter. The girl working the front was so kind and upbeat and helpful. You can tell she is passionate about the store. Definitely made for a great experience. I will be back, happy it’s in my neighborhood.
I tried the croissants, sourdough loaf, and their fruit tart every bite was perfect. The croissant was buttery and flaky, just the way it should be, and the bread was crusty on the outside with a soft, chewy center. You can tell everything is made with care and top quality ingredients
The best rainbow cookies in Astoria, believe me. I did my own rainbow cookie tour in the neighborhood lol. Cannoli's and bread are great too.
I have been going to this bakery since I was 10 years old with my Grand Pop. it has the best bread ever! the short rolls are to die for. add some butter and you're in heaven..... 1977, I think it was when I first started going.
This is the only bakery I choose to go to. The bread is always fresh, the cookies are great, and the cakes never disappoint. Every pastry you could crave is spot-on. Even the coffee is fantastic. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the family-owned feel makes it genuinely authentic. They don’t make places like this anymore!
Parisi Bakery is a true Astoria gem. Everything is always fresh and delicious, and you can really taste the care that goes into their food. The staff is warm and welcoming, and you can tell this family-owned bakery takes pride in what they do. I highly recommend stopping by.
Parisi Bakery is honestly one of my favorite places to stop for something sweet. Everything tastes super fresh, and you can tell they put a lot of care into what they make. I’ve tried a bunch of different things here, and nothing has ever disappointed me. The staff is always friendly and patient, even when it’s busy. If you’re in the area, this is definitely the bakery you want to go to. Five stars, easily.
Our absolute favorite bakery when we visit New York. We take tons of breadsticks and cookies back to florida with us and eat lots of fresh bread while we are there. Nothing beats their freshly baked bread. Oh can lattes are delicious and staff is friendly.
Parisi Bakery is a known treasure in the neighborhood. Went in today to get a loaf of bread, some cannoli, and some eclairs, all were perfect. Be careful of certain negative reviews popping up in August 2025, there is a group of vandals giving false, negative reviews to businesses in Astoria and bragging about it on Reddit.
I’ve been coming to Parisi since moving to Astoria in 2007, and it never disappoints. Their strawberry and plain cheesecakes have become a holiday tradition in my family — they never fail to remind me to bring one..or two ! Lately, I’ve been hooked on their challah, fresh breads, and nostalgic black-and-white cookies. Even the coffee rivals the neighborhood cafés. After 17 years, Parisi still feels like a true staple of Astoria . There’s always something new to enjoy, and it’s one of those places that makes Astoria feel like home.
Great bakery I enjoy the food environment and service thoroughly and it’s a staple of the community. I’d highly encourage you to visit if you’re in need of baked goods!
Parisi bakery has the best bread, cookies and pound cakes, not just in Astoria, but in all of New York. As a native NYer, born and raised, I have been to many throughout the city and hands down, Parisi's is the best! You can smell the fresh bread baking when you're on the Broadway station in the morning. Lots of Nostalgia, sweet memories and baked goods! Please discredit the bad reviews that are trying to tarnish the reputations of all small businesses in the Astoria area. Go see for yourself! Even the ones writing the fake reviews know that Parisi Bakery is the absolute best!
Been going to this bakery since I was a kid in 69. Great Bread and Pasteries. The coffee is great and the service is on the money. Prices are below average. I give it 110%
Places like this are getting harder to come by in modern day NYC. My family has been coming to this bakery since they emigrated here from Italy in 1968–when it was owned by the Parisi Bro’s. Fortunately, as the years went on and as multiple generations of my family patronized Parisi, their bread has remained stellar, their pastries are still amazing, and their coffee is great. There’s never a Sunday at my house without a loaf of Parisi bread. And for my personal favorite, their cheesecake!!!
Had a Thanksgiving "emergency" this past year and these guys were able to handle a big dinner roll order on short notice. Did not break the bank, either ! I appreciated it.
A really cool bakery!! Everything looked so scrumptious!!! I ended up buying a choclate crossiant and it was super yummy!! One of the employees gave me one for free which was super nice of her!!
I visited NY from California. This bakery served up some tasty stuff. Looking forward to going back there again.
Yum they have some pretty good sweets here! Like what everyone said, the staff is very friendly and patient. I got the butter cookies with chocolate, the rainbow cookies, thumbprint cookies, and the almond cookies. They were all good and fresh and soft- the way I like my cookies. Their rainbow cookies were good and soft and you can tell that they bake it fresh because it was not stale tasting at all. I enjoyed their thumbprint cookies as well. Although it was a bit crumply to eat, they're small enough for a one big bite. The price was reasonable. I'm not too sure how much it is by the pound but I got ~15 cookies and they were only $6.50. Pros- right by the train station.
They know how to bake but definitely don't go for the coffee. I ordered a latte that was served scalding (too hot to hold let alone drink), better off at the Starbucks down the street as much as it hurts to say so
Delicious Italian bakery treats in an adorable neighborhood staple. Upon entry into the little shop, you're literally surrounded by drool worthy breads and cookies and traditional Italian goodies.
I was at this place I bought some cheese bread and it was old it did taste very old and very bad. I trew it away after first bite.well that was my experience and I did ask for some fresh bread and although the person in front no to pleasant serving first and last time never comeback.
Unfortunately, the bread is no where near as good as the Italian bread that came out of the brick oven in their original bakery on 14 St. in Astoria.
After eating a lot of pizza, I dropped by here because it smelled good and I wanted to get a pastry for dessert. I ended up getting one of their cannoli, which has a smooth shell which I've never seen before. The cream inside was good, and the shell was unusual but good as well. My friend got coffee, which he thought was pretty decent as well. Overall a solid cannolo, next time I'm in the area I'll drop by again to try something else. Not a mind blowing place but a solid neighborhood bakery.
A long time establishment in Astoria (which is nice to see with so many businesses leaving). Unfortunately, the size of their 7 grain rolls now are miniscule. Plus they raised their prices again. Most of the women who work behind the counter are nice except for a couple of them who are extremely rude. You'll know them when they take care of you! If I am passing by and see them through the window I just wait for another day to go in, instead of having to deal with them. :(
I come here for the Sourdough. (and I have no issue with that)I have tried cookies, cheese cakes and they have been good. Today thought I would celebrate starting a new job with a slice of Tiramisu. Well, I was completely underwhelmed. The flavor is ok but, the cake is super dry. I mean isn't this supposed to be a very moist cake?? Not a fan. And, it wasn't cheap either. 😏
Very disappointed with the St. Joseph's pastries this year. Not fresh tasting at all. The canoli cream was off; too much chocolate chip taste.
Went to Parisi bakery 0730 Sunday morning for half of a dozen rolls to have with breakfast, egg rolls, onion rolls, and sesame. All of which were stale, and in my opinion, were yesterday's bread. Extremely disappointing to say the least. Two stars because the woman who served me was friendly.
Great product the best pastry and bread. The customer service is horrible the 2 ladies in front are super rude.Any time you answer a question they look at you like is the end of the world
If you like being treated like a person with a right to inquire into both bread AND water, maybe go to the place across the street. Or down the block. Or a few doors down. Or to an orphanage in 1867. They do NOT sell water bottles, nor will they sell you a cup of water. Nor will they be in any way polite to you when you make this inquiry (Yes, i asked to BUY a cup of water in addition to my baked goods when told they had no bottles) not a way to treat a customer. Two stars because I made my train. They are rude, but fast. What a deeply unhappy place.
They waste A LOT of bread daily which is really disheartening. Their dumpster is always full. Not great bread nor coffee but they’re generally friendly.
I think this place is great if you want basic things like a roll, italian bread, etc., but not for pastries. I've been here a few times and every time I am left disappointed. Today we got their cheese danish, and it was so dry and cakey... sad to say you can get a better one from Starbies.
Inedible cake so stale, not right.
Saw a cockroache there, be careful eating there.
I really don’t understand what is all of this review for? Their stuff is not tasty at all and cashier are weird never even smile and so expensive for nothing.
Worst cappuccino I have ever had. All milk and no espresso.
they need improve their cake making game. those eclairs i got there tasted like those cheap ones that comes in a box from supermarket at bread section. you can basically feel food chemicals that been added Lol horrible
The worst St. Joseph sfingi I have ever had.. they looked & tasted 2 days old.
I came here with my family to get some cheesecake the Caucasian lady who was working there while handing me forks rudely took the forks out of my hand and walked away so I couldn’t grab them just because I asked her for something, while I was leaving she kept giving me looks even after I left she was giving me looks from inside the store, horrible service!!!
Nothing gluten free no reason to shop there.
I had an unpleasant visit to Parisi Bakery due to rude staff who struggled to understand our requests and were distracted by phone conversations. The service culminated in a frustrating experience when they failed to properly pack our cakes.
I bought a loaf of Italian bread for my morning toast for the week. However, and unfortunately, it was the worst bread I've had in my life - It not only tasted stale but had a horrible aftertaste as well. I threw it away after just a few bites. To sell old bread is a shame (especially from a bakery, where I would think the standards are higher). This was an extremely disappointing experience. First and last time.
Extremely rude service and the products overpriced and not delicious. I am sorry but my wife and I we have 30 years experience with food business and we are very picky with the food. Maybe 15 years ago this bakery was the best in the area but now they are extremely disrespectful and disappointing.
Yesterday, I went to this bakery to buy a coffee. When it was my turn to order, the cashier was monotone and rude when I asked her for a regular coffee with one milk and one sugar. To the other consumers, she was polite and professional. I felt like an unfair treatment, and everyone should treat the customers with the same manners.
I feel like I have given them enough chances by this time but they have sold me old pastries over and over. I don't know why they think people can't taste the bad and old pastry when it's so obvious. If I pay about $7 for a small piece of pastry, at least have a decency and sell something edible.
The bakery is overpriced, overrated, and frankly dirty. I’d skip it.
6.7.25: flippant attitude towards Black patrons. I come here cause the food and value, but the way staff will flat out ignore you..repeatedly ..today was the fourth time. It is not worth it, so many other more deserving bakeries!
Coffee and almond croissant is amazing. Service is awful. I ordered iced latte with oat milk. Lady took my order and then said : wait a minute and went to do smth. After a while she returned back, confirmed order, charged me and made me (!) regular ice coffee with regular milk. When I told her it wasn’t my order, she started arguing with me, trying to convince me “the first time you said, the second time you did not say “ And then : I did not even charge you for oat milk Well, first of all we would not have this kind of issue, if you would take my order only once, right? And listen at the first place. Then, she finally stopped being rude and decided to up-charged me extra 2$ for oat milk. 2$!!!! Since when I pay 8$ for coffee and croissant and have to pay extra 2$ for not my mistake? It was the last time I come to this place. Very rude and inappropriate way to communicate with customers!
I went to buy a $40 pie and needed a few plastic forks so I asked politely. I was told I can only have one fork and one knife and to go buy them at another store. She kept repeating this and they had a stack of plastic forks in back. So silly. Needless to say I told them to keep the pie and walked out. Employees can sure ruin a business. This same employee had an attitude with other costumers as well and I almost said something. Then she had one with me. No bueno lady. you're bad for business.
