This was such a nice place and a wonderful experience! We're so glad we chose this place to treat ourselves. The prices were as expected for an upscale restaurant and so was the food. Oh my, everything was top notch and absolutely delicious! Our waiter was attentive, kind and knowledgeable about the menu items. The decor was unique and so intriguing. We really enjoyed the whole experience and can't wait to go back the next time we're in Atlantic City.

My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here a few days ago. We made early reservations because we had a lot planned for the evening. Even though we arrived early, we were greeted seated and served with cheer and tremendous service. The food is delicious; properly prepared, seasoned and served in generous portions. The food was well plated and I recommend the filet mignon, chicken Parmesan, palm half-and-half, and the delicious maple bourbon house cocktail. We had a great time here and are so glad that we decided to leave the “food court of restaurants” at Tropicana and walk down the stairs to this wonderful hidden gem! Our meal price was a bit over $100 per person, but that included several drinks, sides, dessert & coffee.

From Andrea’s warm welcome and valet directions to Carly’s flawless service, The Palm exceeded every expectation. The non-alcoholic sangria? Best drink in AC. Crab cakes? Real crab, perfect spice, zero filler. Seared sea bass and shrimp sauté? So good I joked about kidnapping the chef—giant shrimp, perfect linguine, and risotto to die for. Even the bread basket was a star, with custom-churned butter and Alessi breadsticks. Dessert sealed it—cheesecake was sold out (not surprised), but the carrot cake was superb. If you want world-class food, service, and atmosphere in Atlantic City, skip the guessing and go straight to The Palm. Worth every penny.

The Palm in Atlantic City, NJ, is an extraordinary dining destination! The moment you step in, the welcoming atmosphere sets the tone for a fantastic experience. The food is simply outstanding; from the perfectly cooked steaks to the fresh seafood, every dish is a culinary delight. The extensive wine list offers excellent pairings for your meal. What truly sets The Palm apart is the amazing customer service—attentive, knowledgeable staff who genuinely care about your dining experience. A must-visit for food lovers!

In a word - EXCEPTIONAL. From the food to the service, this is the best steak place in Atlantic City. Everything was outstanding. We started with lobster bisque (among the best we've ever had), steak tartare (which was very good), and a lump crab cocktail (which was excellent). From there we ordered a shrimp dish (which was delicious), a center cut steak (perfectly seasoned and cooked), a Veal chop (which wasn't on the menu but they made for us and was seasoned and cooked to perfection), and a surf and turf (both the steak and lobster were excellent). The sides (we got mushrooms and creamed spinach) were also outstanding. And the service was top notch and friendly throughout. This is a must-visit for anyone that enjoys an excellent steak. We cannot wait to get back!

I would come back here in a minute just for the excellent service received by Michael, our server! Top notch all the way! The food was delicious and served just right. I asked for my salmon to be cooked well done and it was. The chocolate cake was to die for….. I’ll have to work out more on Monday!

Came here recently Sunday for dinner—had prior reservations so we were seated right away in a nice comfy booth. Food was amazing!! I’ve been to other locations but this one was the best. For starters, the Steakhouse Wedge Salad was excellent—the dressing was a light but sweet vinaigrette of some sort, it was so good. For entrees, both the Kagoshima A5 Wagyu New York Strip ($129) and The Palm Duo (center cut filet and lobster tail $99) were great. The sides, Creamed Spinach and Loaded Baked Potato were good too—and portions are pretty generous. For cocktails, we enjoyed their Palm Star Martini and Hendricks Gin Martini—we got two rounds! And you can use your Caesars comps here, just not for tip.

This was my third visit to the Palm AC. The traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner ensemble was well prepared and quite a treat. Our choice of cocktails was neatly done and served shortly after ordering. Although the resteraunt was a little busier than usual, the service was at best subpar. I later found out our waiter was a part timer, which explained why their knowledge of the menu was lackluster. Let's get it together Management, or this flaw, will begin to annoy more customers.

Let me just start off by saying my husband and I love The Palm. For his birthday like 2 years ago i took him to a trip to Atlantic City, we had an amazing trip. We saw The Palm restaurant and I decided that’s where i am taking him to dinner. I made the reservation on opentable on the special request box i asked if they can sing to him i didn’t know it was that fancy lol but the appetizers absolutely delicious especially the fried calamari, the wine so good and the food MELT in your mouth amazing. My husband said he doesn’t know if he can ever look at another steak the same in regular restaurants again lol the mashed potatoes topped it off amazingly. At the very end of dinner i walked to the bathroom to the front desk to ask about the special request i made and the lady instantly knew she said your husband’s birthday right i said yes she said we already let your waiter know she said we don’t sing happy birthday usually because we try not to disturb the other guests having dinner I completely understood. A few moments after returning to the table, the waiter came with a slice of cake with a lit candle and guess what he sang happy birthday with me to my husband not very loud to disturb others but our inside voices lol it was awesome, the smile on my husband’s face was worth it. The atmosphere , the food, the service just everything about this restaurant was PERFECT. We talked about this restaurant and the food saying we definitely have to go back. On a date night out in the big city VIOLA!! We stumbled upon another Palm restaurant and you better believe we definitely ate there we made reservations for our anniversary. They’re amazing there as well the customer service, the waiters, the food just everything there as well was great sometimes different locations aren’t the same but it definitely was and it surely didn’t disappoint. I will do a separate reviews for both locations. If you haven’t ate here definitely visit especially if you’re visiting Atlantic City and want a beautiful date night.

It's restaurant week and the food was outstanding. A restaurant to add as a must stop when in Atlantic City. Prime New York Strip steak was cook perfecly no need for steak sauce as the butter and rub made for an experience of flavor that I haven't tasted in a long time, true steak eaters will appreciate the flavor. Being restaurant week you have nothing to lose trying this place out. Service was top notch and food.....let just say WOW.

Thank You for an incredible experience! The service at The Palm is superior, as is the food. The Carpaccio was amazing, the aged Ribeye Steaks were to die for, and the Creamed Spinach was the best we've ever had. Worth every penny!

Honestly we loved this place. We went during the week and it was nearly empty so I can't tell you what it's like during a busy weekend. It's an Atlantic City steakhouse, so you're not coming here for discounts. Our food was cooked perfectly, the service was impeccable and they didnt even look like they were judging us for getting the cheapest bottle of wine they had. I would come here again!

C
Casey McAllister

For the price, I would totally hit Docks Oyster house or Knife and Fork. My meal was good... but they forgot a bunch of things, I'm assuming staff is probably hard to get right now. I'll stick with the local joints.

We celebrated several birthdays at the Palm Atlantic City and had a fantastic time. Great steaks, great service and they did such a great job acknowledging our special occasions. We will return for sure!

Superb food and service in a classic old school steakhouse atmosphere. If you’re a Landrys rewards member, even better. The Palm is just excellent in every way. Service at the bar by Adam is classy and professional.

It doesn't get better than 5 stars for overall, food, service and atmosphere, and I am a "tough grader". We made a reservation, including telling them it was my wife's birthday. We were given an option for table or booth seating - good to have those options! And our server came right up for drink and meal orders. We selected the summer special which included salad, breads, house special soup, 4lb lobster (plenty for 2) we added au gratin potatoes, and desert. Each of the food items were tasty, perfectly cooked, and delicious. For instance, the lobster meat was sweet, not rubbery or over or under cooked. The potatoes had the crust on the top and soft potatoes/cheese underneath. A wonderful experience.

It’s been a while since I dined at The Palms Steakhouse in Atlantic City and was thoroughly impressed by my experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and attentive service from the General manager Jim and his assistants behind the desk. That set the tone for the evening for me. The staff were knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations, making me feel valued as a guest. The atmosphere of the restaurant was equally delightful. The elegant yet cozy decor created a perfect setting for a relaxed dining experience. Soft lighting and the cool art drawings added to the ambiance, making it an ideal spot for both special occasions and casual dinners. Now, let's talk about the star of the show: the food! The quality of the steaks was outstanding—perfectly cooked to my liking and bursting with flavor. Each bite was tender and juicy, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to sourcing the best ingredients. The sides were equally impressive, with the cream of spinach and those lamb chops complementing the main course beautifully. Overall, The Palms Steakhouse exceeded my expectations with its exceptional service, inviting atmosphere, and top-notch food. I can't wait to return and indulge in another unforgettable meal! Oh and the best part FREE VALET PARKING ON THE WEEKENDS!

We had a fantastic dinner at The Palm in Atlantic City. Great atmosphere, perfectly cooked steaks, and an all-around classic dining experience. The restaurant strikes a perfect balance between upscale and welcoming. A special shoutout to our server, Ansley, who made the night even better with her friendly and attentive service. She was knowledgeable, genuine, and made us feel right at home. We’ll definitely be back!

Our party was greeted at the door by Ella and Chrissy and we were immediately taken to our table by Chrissy. We no sooner sat down and our server Billy greeted us. He was knowledgeable and his recommendations were on point. the bone in Ribeye was one of our selections which was an excellent choice. We decided after our incredible dinner to go to the bar and have after dinner drinks. Our bartender Marylou assisted us in a nice selection ports which I know nothing about and a chocolate martini which my wife is still raving about! From the beginning of our dining experience all of the staff were courteous, professional and receptive to any request we had. We had a memorable night. Thanks Palm

The Palm is an absolutely incredible restaurant and the Atlantic City location is my personal favorite. The food, atmosphere, and service is spectacular here — you can tell how much care went into every dish and drink (the tiramisu martini is amazing and the chicken parm is my favorite of all time). Every table is warm and inviting. Staff is friendly, charming, and helpful, from server assistants to managers. The bartenders are top-notch and masters of their craft, especially Mary Lu.

Always a great time at the Atlantic City Palm restaurant. I loved the new holiday special drink called Mrs Clause it was refreshing and delicious. Ribeye and chicken parm are like no other. Absolutely delicious! The service was friendly and attentive. Unbelievable how knowledgeable the service staff is at the Palm. Over all the whole experience was fantastic! Thank you Palm AC we will be back.

This is one of the best meals in Atlantic City! Excellent choice for hospitality and fine dining cuisine. I was blown away by the wedge salad, the beautiful bone in Ribeye, the best cream spinach I’ve ever had, and their delicious homemade donuts for dessert. Their staff are so friendly and accommodating, the food is perfection, and everything I want in a classic steakhouse is at the Atlantic City Palm Restaurant!!

My wife and I have been to the Palm several times this summer, all five times were awesome. Best clams casino around, steaks and sides were all delicious and perfectly cooked. Service was consistently spot-on, as were the cocktails! In true palm style the warm hospitality by Jim Haney and his crew always makes us feel like we’re home. So happy that we still have a Palm to call home since Philly closed.

Was recently in AC and had to stop by The Palm for a steak before seeing a show. Sat at the bar and had an awesome Cab by the glass and some shrimp cocktail & oysters to start. The oysters were so fresh and delicious. Then it was on to the NY Strip MR, some home fries and broccoli. I asked for the broccoli to be burnt and it came out just as I like it. The manager, Jim, came by to say hello and made sure everything was ok. I told him that the hospitality and consistency at the Palm is what keeps me coming back for more. We ended the meal with a piece of their homemade carrot cake & cappuccinos to keep us going for the show. I cannot wait to return to this Palm next time I’m in town.

Palm never disappoints. The iconic AC steak house was a perfect place for a special dinner. Steaks were cooked to perfection, cozy and warm atmosphere. As a wine enthusiast I was happy to see some delicious labels on the wine list. It is a must try spot in Atlantic City.

An Unforgettable Evening at The Palm We had an absolutely wonderful evening at The Palm from start to finish. The moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the hostess, Chrissy, who was so kind and welcoming. She immediately made us feel comfortable and even took the time to recommend a few of her favorite dishes, which set the tone for a perfect night ahead. Our server, Eric, was outstanding. He was professional, friendly, and very attentive — the kind of server who makes you feel like you’re the only table in the room. He explained the menu in great detail and recommended the Caymus for our wine, which was a perfect pairing with our meal. Before our appetizers, the server assistant brought out a basket of warm, delicious bread that was absolutely heavenly — soft on the inside, crisp on the outside, and the perfect start to our dinner. We began with the thick-cut bacon and the jumbo lump crab cake, both bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. For our entrées, I enjoyed the 22-ounce bone-in ribeye cooked to a perfect medium rare — tender, juicy, and full of flavor. My husband had the veal chop, which he loved every bite of. We also shared our favorites — the creamy spinach and the half-and-half potatoes — both rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious. When the manager Jim Haney stopped by our table, it made the evening feel even more special. You can tell he’s been with The Palm family for many years — his pride, warmth, and professionalism shine through in everything he does. He has the kind of presence that immediately puts guests at ease and reflects genuine passion for hospitality. It’s clear that his leadership sets the standard for the entire team, because the service throughout the night was flawless. Our glasses never went empty, our food came out beautifully plated, and the pacing of the meal was perfect. We even saved room for dessert — the crème brûlée and the carrot cake — both decadent and absolutely divine. To finish, we enjoyed an Irish coffee, which was the perfect warm and comforting end to a truly memorable evening. From the moment we walked in until the moment we left, everything was exceptional — the food, the service, and the atmosphere. The Palm continues to deliver classic fine dining and genuine hospitality at its very best. We left feeling happy, appreciated, and already looking forward to our next visit.

I probably should have given them five stars because of the fine service and proper handling of a foul situation, but this is The Palm, one of the premier steakhouses in the entire country and my expectations for a very good experience are at their highest. Had a very good Osso Bouco, tender wagyu cooked in a nice red sauce, sides of potatoes and Brussels Sprouts were all good. A piece of filet mignon had a very gamey taste and smell and nowhere near The Palm expectations. The situation was promptly and correctly handled by the management. We had a very nice dessert of fresh hot zeppoles served with three tasty sauces. The service was superb on a very quiet night.

D
David G.

Always wanted to come here. Prices were what I expected, it is a steakhouse. All real steakhouses are $$$$. I ate more than I usually do because I wanted to try a variety of items. I ate alone. I had fried Calamari. Very good. 16 Oz Ribeye, along with a 16-oz lobstertail, all delicious. For dessert vanilla cremebrulee. They have a very large wine menu and liquor menu.

J
John Lambda

Everyone who worked there had a positive and pleasant attitude. We had a ribeye and shrimp with pasta. 2 drinks which were great, an appetizer and a side dish. They placed bread out right away after we sat. The bill was reasonable for a high end steakhouse. Good crowd for a Thursday. I'm sure weekends there must be a long line .

C
Christopher Corso

Our waiter, the young women who cracked the lobster and the hostesses were all outstanding. The Wagu Steak was excellent. The Nova Scotia lobster and crab was top notch...amazing. The pasta Bolognese was ok...little bland. The bacon appetizer and the doughnut hole desserts were easily 10/10 good! The wine selection is significantly better that what was advertised on line. The mens room was clean...but urinal spacing is way too close. I had to stand at an angle to prevent wedging my shoulder into a stall wall. The drop off/pick up situation is poorly laid out for folks who cant walk far. The taxi lane is directly adjecent to the entrance, so dropoff/ pickup has to occur in a traffic lane. The French fries were nothing to write home about. They were a little soggy for my taste. The complimentary bread and oysters were also outstanding. The "atomic" horseradish has to be some of the best horseradish Ive ever had. Id love to have a Bloody Mary from this place!

S
Shaun Steckley

Service was really good. Place has a decent vibe. Food overall was good. I didn't care for the French onion. Looked amazing but cheese had a burnt taste and onions tasted sweet. Steak was tender and seasoned well. Fries were really good.

L

This restaurant greatly exceed my expectation! The waiter, Neil was friendly and helpful. We had an amazing dining experience. The food was delicious. As a pescatarian, there was a vast selection tasty seafood. Along with that, there were high quality greens that suited my husband's vegan diet. The only mishap occurred when the shrimp was placed on the bread, which caused it to be soggy and un pleasant to eat. I would have preferred the bread placed on the side. Overall I had a fantastic dining experience. I would definitely recommend and revisit.

S
Simon T Katan

The general service was slow but our server Jason was good. Salad that I have had very few dressing. The steak was good. They were out of Expresso. The place was very noisy. Overall it was average.

Did a happy hour at this location but felt it could have been better. I had a dirty martini and it was well made. It addition, I had the class and they were okay, nothinf special. The garlic bread was worth the happy hour menu. The ambiance was very quiet but our server was attentive and checked on us frequently. Their food option for happy hour needs to be edited, in order to get me to return.

Located inside the Tropicana hotel, this location (along with Il Verdi) offers one of the two classiest dining experiences at the property. Fish and steak lovers will enjoy the many selections available to them, but vegetarians will find the menu limited. However, the kitchen is flexible, and will prepare dishes off the menu. They have an extensive wine list, as well. Take the escalator next to P.F. Chang and Carmine's on the lower level of the Quarter.

Jake was our waiter and he was amazing. We were seated and I think there was a mix-up so we sat there for about 20 minutes waiting for someone to come by. When Jake came over he realized it and offered us free drinks to apologize but we weren't drinking so he then offered us a free appetizer. We got the calamari and it was OK. My husband got the wedge salad and the palm duo which is an 8oz filet and and 8oz lobster tail. I got the strip steak and we shared the potato au gratin. The au gratin was delicious and the dinners were good. Unfortunately not a meal I would have to go back for. I would go back for the server Jake. He ended up taking $40 off our bill which was greatly appreciated. And I had the cappuccino and it was probably the best one I ever had but it was cold...in their defense it was late.

Jeff Podwats

The steaks and all sides were pretty good. I'll start with the good. Reservations were for 6pm for 4 on a Saturday night. We were seated immediately. Two members of our party wanted to share a steak but like theirs cooked drastically different. The Palm cut the steak before cooking so each could have it as they preferred. To me, that is something that would probably not be done let alone offered. Everything is a la Carte and the sides are family style so they definitely feed more than one. The bad. I checked out the menu days in advance of my visit and had my mind set on the 12oz wagyu steak only to find out that they were all out. On a Saturday night. At 6pm. I was told it was going to be removed from the menu soon. Sounds like it already is. The steak I did wind up getting was good. A little closer to medium than the medium rare I requested. Still good though. Lastly, I understand the need to clear plates and items no longer being used. But they cleared everything from the table while one member of our party was still eating. Really makes you feel rushed. And they weren't crowded at all. Overall a good meal. Will I go back? Probably not. Prices were what I expected. Just not as great as some of the reviews indicated. And if you don't have something, tell the guests ahead of time. Or remove it.

C
Colleen Miller

Drinks were delishhh and service was great! However the steaks, not so much. We expect to spend a pretty penny on a good steak house but the steaks lacked flavor and was just blah. Sucks when you spend a good amount of money and the food isn’t worth what you paid for.

M
Mitch Walla

Nice place. Hosts were great. Service almost non existent. Our appetizer, Lobster ravioli was cold. My filet was cold as well but tasted very good otherwise. My wife’s salmon was scorching hot. Our steamed asparagus practically uncooked. We had no drinks or water (empty) during our entire entree. We could not find anyone either. Never checked in on us about the food. Finally we flagged someone down for the check and a box she instead said she would box for my wife. Finally someone got us drink refills as we finished waited for the check (unneeded at this point). Sitting now 10 minutes waiting for a check and then forgot my wife’s boxed left overs. After all that the main waiter came over to drop us a dessert menu and ask what he could get us. We told him we were already waiting for the other person for our check and box of food. As we walked out we ran into the manager at the host stand. Ella was super empathetic and kind. She was very adamant that we should not have had that experience and insisted on opening the check back up and taking care of us. Without Ella I would have made sure we never came back. Thanks to Ella, if we happen to be at the Tropicana I will for sure give them another shot, but there will definitely be a short leash. As a former bartender and server, that situation with the service was totally avoidable.

B
Bruna P

Drinks were good and staff was friendly but quite inattentive to detail. Went to dinner with two girlfriends. Our calamari appetizer was soaked in oil, had to send it back after we couldn’t eat it. Seabass entre was missing the crabmeat on top. We ordered extra sides that never came so we just had to have that wrapped to go. Meanwhile, there was a massive leak happening from the ceiling a few tables down. They put a glass on the table to catch the water. That was pretty gross.

I waited to experience this restaurant for a 3rd time before leaving a review. I wanted to be sure they weren’t having an “off night”. I thought maybe the executive chef was not working the first 2xs nights I came here to eat. Especially after reading such positive reviews. But nope, after 3 times coming to this restaurant I am sure the food is not good at all. It’s bland. From the menu everything sounds great, but on the plate, it misses the mark. The octopus appetizer was tough and had absolutely no flavor. The crab tasted as if it came straight out of a can, the bacon had hardly any glaze. The best thing we had was our drinks which was wine, and a beer. I will not be going back to this restaurant again. I’ll try someplace else in the Tropicana whenever I come back to see a show.

Update! July 2023 If you read my review below from about 4 years prior, we had an AWFUL experience and the manager did eventually respond. He was kind enough to mail me a $150 gift card. I had gone back to the Palm a handful of times from the time i got the gift card but always forgot to bring it down the shore. I had enjoyable times. Then the pandemic hit. Finally, this summer, I remembered to bring my gift card down the shore. Before going to the restaurant, I called the number on the back to ask if the full value was still on the card. They told me they couldn't tell the value, but that had never been used. The very nice corporate person told me that they would message ahead of my visit to tell the front desk how to use my card in the system. We got there and showed them my card and they told me they could not accept it because there was "no way to verify the value". Meanwhile, i had the ORIGINAL email (stating that it was $150) from the manager (who, believe it or not, was STILL the SAME manager) and he would not do anything about it. Did I mention that i even responded to that email during the day that we were planning on coming that evening to use the card.) I didn't feel that was right, so i went back to him mid-meal and had another conversation. He wasn't budging so i said the least you could do was comp my drinks. He said ok. But, wouldn't you know it, when the bill came, he comped our first cocktail, but not my glass of wine. Note: we spent about $150pp so we spared no expense) That was a great example of how NOT to treat a customer. I went from a $150 gift card to 2 cocktails. Needless to say, I won't be going back. I really miss the old Palm when they had great service and cared about their customer. -------- August 2019 We were seated in a back area that didn't feel like the Palm. Felt like an overflow banquet room. Would not sit there again. No ambiance whatsoever. I shared a lobster dinner with someone at my table. It was 4 pounds. I think I got 1 pound and she got 3 pounds. It was embarrassing. She felt bad and kept offering me some of hers. I politely declined and I went home hungry. (Also, mine was overcooked since it was such a small half. Dried out.) Brussel sprouts had no flavor other than loads of salt. They were boring. I make better at home. Oh, and they weren't really hot when they came out. Service was good, not really any complaints there except at the end they brought a cake with a candle and it was not our birthday. We told them and they said to eat it anyway, but it was a little awkward with work acquaintances. Tried several times to reach the restaurant to discuss the issues we had and no one seems to want to get back to me. Tried messenger, open table, Facebook Twitter, email, etc. They seem not to care anymore. I'm taking my steakhouse money elsewhere. Plenty of other restaurants out there.

First time & definitely last. Wedge salad was watery. Cold bread. Cold butter. My filet mignon was insanely bland. I had to spread some butter, salt and pepper on it to even eat it. Ridiculously overpriced for a steak to come with no sides and served the way it was. Definitely not worth the price. Won't be back.

R
Reen Martinez

Extremely slow service and mediocre at best food. My husbands medium steak came out rare and tasting like sea food. Mine was chewy, overcooked and tasted like sea food. The vegetarians pasta also tasted like sea food. And the garlic on the sides omg. We were a party of 9 and it was so loud in there I couldn't hear anyone else at the table to know how their food was, but for the cost- everything is overpriced and not worth it! We left hungry and disappointed.

A
Ada Smith

Service at the bar was non-existent. Had to call / yell to get the bartender to even acknowledge us. Not what I would expect at a upscale restaurant.

T
Thea

The food was just okay but I feel like the quality of the steak, mash, bread, and desserts went downhill since we ate here last. The service just seemed impersonal, aloof, and not showing both people proper attention, care, and happiness. The young waiter acted like he didn’t want to be there and that’s easy to pick up. I think a positive attitude and making the client feel special would be so much better. I recommend Ocean Steak and Morton’s Steakhouse instead.
