Came in on a week night… Great food and service, with a nice menu. The venue is nicely decorated and actually has some cozy areas to sit as well. Their caprese salad was really nicely done with thick cute, ripe tomatoes and a nice mozzarella. Their calamari was perfectly battered (lightly, as it should be) and lightly fried and definitely wasn’t rubbery nor over-fried like at most places. Veal parmesan was tasty and great! Their red sauce was excellent, with the occasional whole or full slice of garlic in it – loved it! Service was friendly and helpful too! They have a decent wine list and save room for dessert as their desserts were also very nice! Great spot in AC for Italian eats!!

You feel the Italian mood from the very entrance. We ordered several dishes, I especially liked the "chitarra" pasta and dessert. The only drawback for me is coffee. The coffee was like from a machine, but I would like a real tart delicious cappuccino.

Celebrated my lovely aunt 70’s. Food and service and atmosphere was beyond expectation! The owner was on the floor the entire time making sure everyone was comfortable and happy with the service.

Grilled octopus: Excellent Carpaccio Classico: Excellent Ceasar Salad:Excellent Chittara: average but good Ossobuco: Enormous portion, very good. The style of the restaurant gave me an Egyptian feel along with the Italian touches. They have a glass room decorated all Versace!! Amazing to look at

so so good!! the food was spectacular and we enjoyed every minute of our dinner! the sauce on the farfalle was out of this worrlddddd. i would put that sauce on everything. the orechetti was great also and we loved the carpaccio funghi so much that i didn’t even get a picture. would absolutely return!

Beautiful ambiance. Delicious food. Large portions. Delicious drinks, especially the Expresso chocolate martini ( best of both worlds). Fantastic staff. Friendly vibe. And as a carpaccio fan, this is carpaccio heaven !!!! Wonderful presentation for Restaurant Week. I thank them for participating in this event.

The food was uniformly excellent. Outdoor seating was extremely uncomfortable due to blinding sunlight and tight seating. Service was good aside from one glitch. The waiter passed a full drink across the table rather than walking around and handing it to the recipient, resulting in massive spillage. On the whole, this is a lovely restaurant that needs a little more polish.

Solid Italian home cooking at Michelin Guide Prices. Girasole’s prices reflect the generally expensive food scene in Atlantic City and they put their prices accordingly. Not a criticism of them at all, just a reality to keep in mind if you’re going to visit. I would definitely visit again as the food was good and if you’re after something good then you’ll have to pay for it in this City. The ingredients were simple and well executed. There was nothing special about the flavour or any of the dishes we had but it just came the way you want home cooked food to be: no frills & reminding you of Italy. Although the initial service and starters were quick, the other courses came quite slowly. The feeling you get is a family affair, run for the joy of being together and no one is in a rush - we enjoyed our time! I’ve explained the dishes I had in more below but if I was to come again here is what I’d do differently: I’d get a pizza as a starter - although not wood-fired, it came out looking and smelling great - I’d have a go at one of them. For the rest of the menu, I’d avoid anything that requires a level of technical cooking to bring out flavour. I’d avoid the main menu and just stick to the first course pasta menu. I’d get three or four pasta dishes and stick to a dish that is known for its richness: the rigatoni ragù or the farfalle for sure. We had the soup of the day: Minestrone Soup - it was light and had a soft melody of vegetables but it was all quite bland, a little more flavour in the broth would have gone a long way. The Mixed Seafood Pasta, the seafood was slightly over cooked - particularly the prawns - but the pasta had a perfect texture. The sauce could have had a little more richness or depth to its seasoning. I was expecting that classic simple Italian dedication to fresh tomatoes but it just wasn’t there. Side Dishes: The mushroom dish was surprisingly the best dish of the day. In stark constraint to the poorly chosen tomatoes, the mushrooms were brilliantly selected and full of flavour. We also had the asparagus but it was quite bland and the creamy hollandaise sauce to accompany it lacked any kind of flavour. To the main dish of the day, the Salt Baked Sea Bass. It was really good. Subtle salt matched with a very good lemon and caper sauce. The dish is more style/theatre than substance (the waiter breaks the salt crust and serves the fillets to you) but it still delivers.

Everyone we know that has been here loves it. Maybe we went on an off night for them. Unfortunately, the hostess set the tone. Her displeasure over us not having a reservation on a Tuesday was very evident. There were more tables available than there were occupied when we arrived. There were still several available when we left as well. So, I didn't quite get the attitude. Honestly, I was ready to walk out with her attitude. I was encouraged to stay since we heard so many good things from others. Luckily, we had a much more pleasant server. We ordered the pasta sampler. It was good. I was surprised that they had a small up-charge for each of the 3 choices. I don't recall seeing that mentioned on the menu & we weren't notified that there would be one when we ordered. Not all of our choices had protein. So, not sure what that was about. I just wanted to leave at that point and wasn't going to prolong things to bother complaining. I'll say that their weekly classics menu sounds delicious along with the rest of their menu. I just wish we had a better experience. Especially since we were there celebrating a birthday.

Girasole is a short walk off of the boardwalk near the Tropicana. The interior I think is very nice, alongside the service. The food is fair, the special which was the tuna tartar wasn't great, and the Sunday special pasta was good, but not amazing for the price of nearly $50.

⭐⭐☆☆☆ This was my second bad experience at Girasole, and unfortunately it will be my last. My dishes were decent, but three people in our party ordered the veal parm and every single one came out burned to a crisp. When one of my friends was asked if she wanted something else, she replied that she’d just like a veal parm that wasn’t burned. The response from the server was that they were out of veal. Strangely enough, after we asked to speak to a manager and explained the situation, suddenly more veal appeared and they were able to remake the dish. That didn’t exactly inspire confidence. The timing of the food was also a mess. Our appetizers came out at the exact same time as the main courses. One person in our party specifically asked for her one dish to come out before her fish entrée. Instead, they brought them out together. She sent the one back, and two minutes later they brought it right back out, clearly just sitting in the window the whole time. Epic fail. While we were waiting for the replacement meals, a round of drinks was ordered as well. One drink came out. Fifteen minutes later someone from our table asked what happened to the other four. The response was “the bar is backed up.” Three of the five drinks were the exact same order, yet somehow only one made it to the table. To make matters worse, nothing was taken off the bill, no apology was offered, and no one even said thank you, despite the server still receiving a 30% tip. At this point, after two disappointing visits, I’m done. The veal itself honestly tasted like something straight out of a frozen dinner. (Encore dinner anyone?) Plenty of great Italian spots in Atlantic County; unfortunately this won’t be one of the ones I return to.

Giving one star for the previous meals I have had here. We have dined here at least 10 times in the past but will not be returning. Upon checking in for our 6:30 reservation (on a hot summer evening) we were told the only table available was outside. Our guests from out of town and I did not want to be on the nearly deserted "patio" sweating through our meal. There was an empty table near the bar but the incredibly rude woman who runs things would not let us sit there. It was being saved for someone else. We asked if we could wait at the bar for an inside table. She claimed we could not because there was a large party in the back (what this had to do with anything escaped all of us). We would have been perfectly happy to drink at the bar until a table opened. She was not going to let us do that either. It was outside or nothing! We chose nothing. When my friends read the reviews about how "warm and welcoming" this place is we had a good laugh. No meal is worth being treated rudely for; I guess if you are not a "regular" or someone this front of house harridan likes the looks of your welcome will be anything but warm. Find yourself another place. Cafe 2825 anyone!

The food was pretty good. The service was atrocious. Water went empty for half an hour at a time, they brought my husbands carpaccio after his pasta, and the “house wine” we had asked for, according my our receipt, was Ruffino. It was not busy and we were forced to stay for over 2 hours waiting for the courses to come. Waitresses were never around. Also saw a waitress vape while walking past me which was very unprofessional as we are not allowed to do that, so why can you? For $300 dinner, I expected WAY more.

Excessive flatulence and heartburn all night from the Rancid meatball. Insalata Tropicale Salad was fresh and delicious. Bursting of flavors. Fried Calmari - was to lightly fried. Mozzarella E Pepperoni - this app was being shared only 2 pieces of mozzarella. Very small to share. Braciola, Salsiccia, Polpetta: Braciola was the best I have ever had. The meatball was bad, the meat was Rancid I almost vomited. After biting the meatball I couldn’t eat the sausage. Chitarra - Seriously 2 pieces of crab, 2 shrimp very small portion. Pasta was delicious and homemade. Salmon was absolute perfection. Very moist and flaky. I gave one star because of the rancid meatball. There is no way possible they didn’t know that meat was bad. After one bite I knew and the smell was ungodly. I made everyone at my table smell it and everyone agreed as no one would take a bite of the meatball for good reason. I will never come back here again.
