We were a small table of 5 and every plate that was ordered was amazing! The service was spot on, fast and professional. We arrived a little late in the day to see the beautiful view of the ocean. The restaurant is called La Finestra (the window) for a reason! For the views and for the view to our gastronomic souls. Didn't get to take photos of our food. We gobbled it as soon as it was served! Definitely recommend!

It was our first time to have dinner in La Finestra,we were curious about the place, and loves Italian cuisine. We like the place that we can see the outside (ocean views) but later it gets loud, you need to speak louder. I like the food on special. But i recommend to get the Caprese salad, was so good and fried mozzarella cheese. Thank you and stay safe everyone. Open all year.

Everything was amazinggg!!! We were party of two and had a reservation at 7.30pm. We get seated directly. Our server Nick was really attentive. He gave us really good recommendations about food. Enzo and Nick are the best servers! They are really thoughtful. Our water and bread needs were given frequently.Definitely recommend them! We were celebrating my friend’s graduation and they made her feel really special which was really nice. Food came out really quick. We got bolognese and risotto scampi. Everything was delicious and fresh. Definitely will be there again!

A group of 15 enjoyed a tremendous meal and hospitality. Several people had the pasta special with shrimp scallops and crabmeat. A couple of us enjoyed the pork chop as well as veal Parmigiana. Caprese salad and calamari were excellent. My go to BYOB place in Sea Isle City.

The food and service were awesome! Love that it's a byob, too. I look forward to our next visit!!

Excellent new ocean view restaurant! Delicious food, wonderful ambiance, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Fine dining at the shore. Located on the second and third floors, with stairs and elevator access. I took photos of my appetizer and dessert and forgot to do so for my entree, but it was worthy of a photo also. A new and better experience at the shore - not your typical shore restaurant, much, much better. We are looking forward to our next experience there.

Simply exceptional. Very accommodating and hospitable. Got a beautiful corner table with amazing views. The specials and core menu offered great variety and flavorful options. Worth every penny and beyond. Exceeded expectations from the greeting to the check. Every course was delicious. Can’t heap enough praise on owner, chef, and staff for an exceptional dinner.

We had a reservation for this past Sunday. We were seated promptly by the manager, Lenny, who was helping the hostess. It was very busy but that didn't stop the servers and waiter from coming over to our table and taking care of all our requests. We both ordered the flounder franchise special. It was the best flounder that we have every had. It was loaded with crab and capers. The sauce was something spectacular to taste. We highly recommend this restaurant when is Sea Isle. Great food and service. BYOB only. Sat indoors on the 3rd floor with a view of the ocean. It was crowded and loud which didn’t bother us.

Visiting La Finestra Ristorante for the first time was truly worth the wait. The food was absolutely amazing. The gnocchi Gorgonzola was out of this world; its texture and lightness elevated it to another level. Not many places know how to make proper gnocchi, but they nailed it. My main course, the lamb chops, was perfectly cooked to my specifications. Everything was incredible, and the exceptional service by my server, Emri, made the evening even more delightful. He was attentive, considerate, and truly enhanced our dining experience. I will definitely be returning and hope to have Emri as my server again.

In our quest for fine dining experiences, we went to La Finestra (Sea Isle) last night. We had difficulties getting a reservation even a week out, so book early. My recommendation is to try to get a 4:30/5P reservation (for 2). La Finestra translates to 'The Window', and it is one of the reasons to come here. There are three deuce tables on the 1st level fronting the window, offering a grand view of the beach. The other reasons to come here are for the food and the service. Our appetizers were fantastic: asparagus wrapped with prosciutto and the calamari. The asparagus was perfectly cooked, al dente, and generously wrapped in prosciutto in a nice white wine sauce. The calamari was done old school; simply dredged in seasoned flour and fried to perfection. A previous reviewer dinged the calamari as being pale, but perhaps they were expecting the heavily breaded version that many restaurants lean on. My only complaint was that there were no tentacles included. I also wish that a side of marinara would have accompanied it. Otherwise, a 'chef's kiss', two thumbs up. The entrees were no less spectacular: A special of PEI mussels, scallops, and shrimp over hand-made cavatelli in a marvelous white wine cream sauce and a Bronzini fillet (would have loved it whole) with shrimp, asparagus, and cherry tomatoes. Both were outstanding. The filet lost any crispy skin as it was covered with the tomatoes, etc. There were a few deficits though. The bread seemed like an afterthought as it was dry and uninspired. My steamed veggies needed a bit more cooking as the were not even close to being chewable. I was limited to the very tips of my broccoli and asparagus. I couldn't even cut the carrots. Dessert was a commercially baked key lime pie with a berry coulis. Service was excellent (Thanks Norah), but the staff's pacing was a bit rushed as our entrees appeared as soon as the appetizers were cleared. But the staff was very attentive throughout. All-in-all a very enjoyable a meal and truly worthy of a repeat visit

Food and views are incredible. Classic Italian at a high quality. Our goto place in Sea Isle. Gets a little noisy, but that is expected in any place at the shore.

We came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We wanted a window table so we had a 4:30 reservation. The food and service were excellent. When we left and looked at the building from the outside we wondered is there dining on the third floor in season? While second floor window seats are suppose to be ocean view you’re not really high enough to see the ocean. We can’t wait to go again and have told many people about this hidden gem.

We live in North Jersey but we were down the Shore last weekend. We discovered a fine Italian ristorante at the Sea Isle City, called La Finestra. The food was delicious, the bronzino filet, the filet mignon and the chicken piccata had a delicious taste which we loved it. The Angel Hair pasta with olive oil and garlic made the difference while we were enjoying our food. The deserts were nice but I would mention the warm Brownie Sundae with ice cream on top and il tartufo ice cream. We eat a lot but we loved it very much! The Octapus is a MUST to try! Believe me, you will re-order after finishing the first Octapus... Oh, I almost forgot about the grilled shrimps - to die for! The service was On Top! The waitres was regulay checking on us while he was clean and tide, smily and friendly! The atmosphere was exceptional. We were lucky to get one of the Ocean View windows on the 3rd floor of the restaurant, which actually was packed, and besides the window view, the ceiling as well was like a sky with plenty of stars. The elegant Italian music made us feel we were in Rome. We loved it, and La Finestra will be our Favorite Spot anytime we're down the Shore. This place is a MUST go! It's worth every penny! Thank me later!

Delicious restaurant in sea isle. Our party of 11 all enjoyed our meals. The appetizers, salads, and entrees were all delicious. They had some vegetarian options which is great. Nice view. Great ambiance. Will definitely return. It's really nice It's BYOB and there is no corkage fee.

La Finestra in Sea Isle is a must-visit for my girlfriend and me every year. The food is always amazing, with huge portions that never disappoint. The service is top-notch, and the BYOB is a nice touch, I brought some nice wine. I also always order the crème brûlée, my favorite. The view of the beach from our table made the experience even better. Highly recommend!

Dined here on a beautiful night. The octopus was phenomenal!

My family and I had a delicious dinner here! We all ate our entire entrees. My only critiques would be improving the calamari appetizer and the grilled artichoke appetizer. The calamari didn’t seem fresh, was a very pale (not crispy) color, and was a bit chewy. I did like the heat it had though. The grilled artichoke didn’t taste grilled and was very acidic in flavor. Other than that, we really enjoyed our food. We all were sharing bites! It was also great to have the ocean view. Our server, Katie was excellent!!! Thank you for a wonderful dinner out.

First, we had one of the best tables. Fantastic view overlooking the ocean. Appetizers were grilled octopus & burrata. Both were extremely well done, full of flavor. My wife has the black cod special and absolutely loved it. Risotto was cooked perfectly and fish was plentiful. I had veal francais, which was simple, but pretty good. Veal was tender, but the sauce tasted like creamy lemon. The service was pretty good, considering it looked like the poor girl had the whole room. One thing to consider is bringing a couple extra dollars, 160 for 2 of us. 3 courses, but no drinks, that is a bit high.

I came here on a solo date for my birthday. Food and service was excellent, I had the arugula salad and blackened cod over risotto which was delicious. My waitress Elizabeth was so sweet and attentive. They even threw in a complimentary shot of limoncello. However, I was pretty bummed that the restaurant was not able to honor my original reservation. I specifically requested outside seating but they apparently overbooked. I also arrived early for my reserved time of 7:45pm. My table inside was OK but not what I expected. Good experience overall.

We enjoyed our family dinner here. Bring your wine or alcoholic beverage as it is Bob. Reservations a must.

The free bread they gave you was so good with the dip, I could not stop eating it. I got chicken parm here and it was okay but could be better. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and view of the beach. I do wish there were more menu options but I would totally come back here.

This was our first time here and we loved the service and the food. However when you book “outside seating” be aware you’re sitting in the walkway of the strip and entrance of the restaurant. Our view was the parking lot and people waiting to be seated. Nora was great and the asparagus app was delicious. We had the pasta special and the alla vodka 💯

We have been to the restaurant many times and looked forward to another good dining experience. First, the gentleman where you check in seemed very irritated with us for no reason. He asked my sister four times what her name was and each time she repeated it. We were seated 25 minutes late. The third floor does have some round tables, but it’s extremely loud. We were told that service team of two would be helping us, but we constantly had to flag down servers to help us. Frankly, it was very chaotic. We finally were able to give our orders 45 minutes after our intended reservation time. When they delivered food instead of walking around the round table and placing dishes in front of the appropriate patrons , they reached across the table, handing it to the guest instead of simply placing the dishes in front of the guest while calling out who ordered the fish, who ordered the chicken. OUCH! On the other hand, food was excellent. We loved the artichoke appetizer, octopus appetizer, which had very very few pieces of octopus, but to die for sauce and mussels yummy and with a slightly too salty, but very tasteful sauce. Entrées were uniformly good including the Pollo Finestra which I loved, veal Piccata, and a mixed seafood pasta dish, which was great They may wish to think about their service algorithm, which was pretty poor throughout. One easy to please person in our group looked around and said it really felt quite chaotic But because it was so loud, we had difficulty even hearing what they had to say . On the other hand, food was delicious and certainly among the best Italian choices at the shore Your choice!

Great restaurant. Beautiful view, attentive staff 👍. I had the Risotto Fra Diavolo. The shrimp and scallops were incredibly fresh and big. Overall the flavor was fantastic....my only criticism was that it wasn't spicy (I should've accepted the offer of crushed red pepper from the waiter but I thought it would already be spicy!) It had a great Overall favor.....tomato, basil, seafood and just a "hint" of hot pepper. Maybe my tolerance is high? I'd still highly recommend this place, next time I'll put more pepper on myself!!

I have very mixed feelings about writing this review. I like to accentuate positives but I must also be honest. So here it is. We were a party of 8 out for a family dinner. We arrived at 4:30 and were promptly seated. At that time it was not crowded at all. I was surprised how long it took to take our orders and be served. I ordered the octopus as an appetizer which was very good. My wife and I both ordered the surf & turf. She was disappointed with the lobster which was overcooked and flavorless as was mine. Her meat, ordered medium was also overcooked. My meat was okay. Others were satisfied with their meals, but no one raved. As we were finally finishing desert we were asked to leave because they had people waiting for a table. (If the service was more prompt we would have been done sooner.) Note: The table servers were friendly and helpful. My personal opinion is that I will try other places before I give them another try. I am not saying don't go there, I just hope your experience is better than ours.

I added shrimp to my rigatoni and was charged $15 for just three pieces. They also wanted an extra $3 to add peas. In the end, two very basic meals cost over $100. The food tastes good, but it’s nowhere near worth the inflated prices.

(2 stars for food only) Great Food, Horrible Service – Not Worth It I’m not a chronic complainer and as a former restaurant owner, I understand the challenges. But this was unacceptable for lack of proper management or absent management. We had a reservation for 6 (with kids and grandkids) on July 13 in sea isle city, Checked in at 6:15 sharp, ordered right away so the tired grandkids could eat and head home early. We waited over an hour for just one of the two appetizers, At 7:30, since our server after taking the order disappeared, we had to ask another server to check on our order while tables seated 30 minutes after us were already being served. Our food finally showed up at 7:50. By then, the kids were too tired to eat. The only person who apologized were couple of waiter—who wasn’t even at fault due to owner’s or kitchen mismanagement lack of proper supervision. No manager owner acknowledged the super delay, even as we left. Yes, the food is great. But poor management ruins the experience. If you go, plan at least for 2hour wait—regardless of when you arrive (by the way this was worst experience of our two visits in 3 months witch I gave them the benefit of the doubt on first visit 1:15min delay) And don’t expect anyone in charge to care, very rude and disrespectful of them. I will be happy to provide more information if contacted by management.

I had the fish special with risotto 07/19/25. The fish was so dry and inedible. I tried one piece and could not finish it. I cut it down the middle and it was so overcooked. I continued to just eat the risotto, I had major agita. So disappointed with my meal, I’m not one to send my meal back you never know what would happen. My friend thoroughly enjoyed her veal piccata. I’m glad I waited for the window seat, hence La Finestra! The artichoke appetizer was to die for! Overall I spent a lot of money and was disappointed.

G
George Shaya

We were really disappointed with our visit. The food took nearly 1 hour and 45 minutes to arrive, which set the tone for the evening (2nd visit same as the first). The appetizers were bland and lacked flavor. My Gorgonzola gnocchi arrived without any noticeable Gorgonzola, and my wife’s Pollo al Finestra was equally underwhelming, lacking flavor and depth. To make matters worse, the drinking glasses were dirty (see the picture). Overall, the experience fell far short of expectations, and for the price and wait time, it simply wasn’t worth it.

K
Kelly Craft

Went to dinner, was seated by hostess. Waitress came over commented that we were at a larger table. She brought over some someone else telling us we needed to leave. I politely stated I did not wish to move. There were several empty tables as well so we didn’t need to move for any space to be accommodating. Another waiter came and became combative with us moving to enjoy the experience. We needed up leaving due to how uncomfortable staff made us feel. I can’t comment on food but the service was subpar

A
Alice Johnson

We a party of 4 had reservations . Seated 20 wait. Sauce was canned paste. Not good. 2people ordered the same thing 1 had veg. on it , not the other person. Service was not the same though out the restaurrant sad to see something like that.

B
Brian McDonald

An over-priced terrible experience. We waited 90 minutes for our food, which was served cold and dry. We ordered the Veal Milanese special. It was deep-fried (with old grease) and the veal was paper thin. I would not have served it to a dog. Update: The owner replied that our "entire meal" was comped. This is not true. They removed the cost of the veal for the two members of our party that ordered it (we did not eat it), but we paid the remainder of the bill, including appetizers and the full meal for the others. I stand behind my review.
