This place makes the best food in the area. My favorite go to is biscuits and gravy but I changed it up and got a Monterey Mushroom burger. It was perfectly messy and yummy

Went to trivia night with Jacob Goss and had a fantastic time. I've been to trivia at bars throughout California and he is the best host by far.

The food is always amazing. The wait staff is great depending on who it is and who you are to them. A previous visit, we were ignored by our waitress. The Times after that, always amazing service.

Love this place been going to it since I was a teenager. And when I became an adult. I got to use the lounge in. It's back there for 21 and over. So go check it out one evening have a meal and later have a drink. It's also kid-friendly to.

MAGNIFICENT FOOD !! We will MOST DEFINITELY RETURN to eat here! From Ohio visiting and we asked where could get breakfast and they immediately recommended The Almond Tree & we are so happy they did! Our food (EVERYTHING TASTED) GREAT, the customer service was excellent as well and we feel now we have a place to go for good food! My only drawback is that the dishwasher work a little harder to make sure everything is clean.

Such a nice place to dress comfortable and dance. You can order small food like onion rings with your drinks. The staff is amazing! So friendly and professional and fun! Not one arguement and plenty of seating... Outdoor smoking has heaters and a place to sit and lounge.. Bathrooms are clean..2 stalls in the women's bathroom. I'll definitely go again!

One of the best menus I've seen. Something 4 everyone. Huge selection no matter ur taste preference. From open face hot sandwiches 2 spaghetti or lasagna or chicken fried pork with gravy.

Our breakfast was made correctly it was delicious and I would go back for sure! It's hard to find a perfectly poached egg. Oh yes the coffee was really good too.

My 1st time there and I really enjoyed the restaurant, the food and the service was great. Our waitress was awesome ( Josephine ?) I have to add, their coffee is really good too !

The food and service are excellent! If you love playing the lottery, they have a Scratcher machine and also a Hot Spot monitor, so you can play and eat. It was fun!

We were heading to the Denny's across the street but noticed the Almond Tree and decided to stop there instead. Definitely worth the last minute decision. Food and service was great, we were not disappointed. If we ever travel down that way again, we will for sure stop in again.

I go with my boyfriend on Tuesday nights for bingo. We have a blast when we go.

The food was fantastic. They let you eat inside or outside. But only 25% capacity on the inside. Waitress was very pleasant and all the people working there was wearing masks. Everyone is supposed to wear masks until they get to their table and then put their masks on when they leave so it's a safe place to go eat. I enjoyed the food very much

Great food and fabulous family friendly service. I couldn't believe how fast our food came to the table after ordering, and it was all amazing. They were quick to provide a high chair for my son, and they jumped at the chance to hold the door open for my wheelchair bound mother on our way in the restaurant and on our way out. 100% recommend.

I absolutely love this restaurant! It's one of our favorite places to stop for a meal when we don't feel like cooking. The restaurant side is amazing — the food is always great, and the waitresses are incredibly attentive and kind. We always feel welcomed and well taken care of when we dine here. I will say we haven’t had the best experience on the bar side, but that’s okay — you can’t win them all. Overall, we really enjoy coming here and will definitely keep coming back!

Love this restaurant/lounge. Friendly, local restaurant with great food and good service. Separated bar area with enough TVs to show multiple sports and the drinks are reasonably priced and never watered down. They also serve the full menu and are capable of serving larger parties. Staff is excellent in the lounge..especially Nikki who is also the manager. Local gathering spot.

One of view family oriented restaurants that still offer kids free meals certain days of the week. One of the best chicken fried steaks is right here. A little stop in Atwater between Merced and Modesto off Hwy99. Across the street is Denny's. I have traveled up and down California's Central Valley and have seen the Almond Tree passing through, but today had the opportunity to try. A more rustic view compared to restaurants like Denny's or iHOP and so it felt a little more close to Mom and Pop diner feel. The wait staff is professional, personable (if you want to chat, they listen and have a conversation if you are as friendly as well) and very attentive to your needs. The Review..... I decided to try the "NEW" Garbage Breakfast consists of : 2 Buttery Biscuits topped with Golden Hashbrowns, then 2 eggs (any style)- scrambled, Country Gravy, with Topping Sprinkled with Thick well done Bacon and sliced Pork Sausage. Let me tell you that Country Gravy was smooth warm with a velvet consistancy. That Bacon cooked to to perfection and those Biscuits had a buttery taste. Everything else compliments the meal. I give the Almond Tree a super official 5 Stars. Let me tell you, not only the service, the food was excellent, they honor Military and Veterans with a discount. Tha k you Almond Tree. I enjoyed dropping by for the experience.

This is always such a great place to come and enjoy yourself. Ive always had such a good time, danced, talked, drank and ate afterwards! The environment is great today between 25-40 age group. Music is always on point! They normally do a dj. If you want to enjoy yourself with some friends come here!

This is my mom's favorite restaurant, I will say the service is fast and the food is good, with a lower then average price. But the restuarant is showing it age, and parking is a bit strange. It's more of a bar then a diner.

The place needs an update, the staff doesn't seem to be really careful with this whole COVID-19 thing, or at least I didn't feel as safe as in other restaurants. Also the food is not too amazing. Prices are cheap I guess.

This restaurant has that old home-town diner feel. It's relaxed, has only one or two waitresses working at one time, due to the smaller nature of the business. It's where you would go instead of Denny's if you want a quieter environment. However, the best part of this restaurant is the back side of it, where the bar is. My boyfriend and I don't drink, but we go in the back to play pool. It's only $1.50 to play a game! The music is always great and we order a coke to share from the bartender. After we're done playing a few games of pool, we stop on the dance floor and shake our groove things or sway to a slow song. Talk about a nice, chill, cheap, but fun, date night.

Restaurant has been around for quite a few years. They were closed a while back while making repairs to a fire. The dining area looks the same. There is also a bar in the back, as well as extra eating area. Food is as tasty as ever. Easy access from Hwy 99 North.

This is my half way stop in a frequent trip. A true neighborhood place, and a great change from the Denny' s across the street. Easy on and off 99. It looks a bit like a dive, but does a good job with standard coffee shop Farr.

Service here is pretty darn good. Used to come when I was overnights and the service was bomb tdd hen but the customers were a little rowdy. The morning and afternoon service is pretty good and the food came out quickly. Had the nachos and they were huge with a side of onion rings which I regret because it was too much food for myself. It was delicious and had a great time with friends. Went about noonish.

We love to eat at Almond Tree. Only issue we have is they open to late in the morning. They have missed my business many times because of that.

Had the Fransican and Buffalo Wings today. The sandwich was excellent and the wings were good. Service was A+ The owners are working at the restaurant constantly and taking every effort to please their customers. Please support this family owned restaurant, it is a local treasure.

Great breakfasts! We eat here weekly. Nice atmosphere. Our waitress, Terry, is the best! I like the garbage breakfast or the chicken fried steak. Love their gravy! The decor is a bit dated, but it's a good home cooked meal.

Local restaurant/lounge that is family owned and operated. Love the atmosphere of community. Food is good but service isn't always up to par. You can eat in the lounge for any meal, which is great when you also want to watch the football games on Sunday mornings. Restaurant has a counter where almost every person is a regular, has booths and tables and a terrific salad bar.

I have become a temporary regular. The waitress treats me like a local which I enjoy. Cook has gone out of his way to my eggs perfect for me. If you're in the area I would give it a try. 4 stars for food because the cook burned my hash and sent it out. When I alerted the waitress they offered a recook immediately. So all in all a good experience. Went back 7/1/25 and I had a nice breakfast.

The food is not as good as usual. The last year or so it's not hot when it comes out. The sandwiches are below average. I used to love eating there but not so much. Now I will just go have drinks occasionally. I don't know what happened.. But it's not delicious anymore.

Open 24 hours, figured it would be good food. My wife had a great Denver omelet. I ordered Corned Beef Hash. The egg's were perfect, Hash browns were burnt and the Corned Beef was not what I expected. 😇

It was okay. Food was okay. I got salad bar and the lettuce was a little old. Didn't really like the waitress telling my son to put his game down its family time. Mind your business and let me tell my kids how to behave. I think she forgot to put our order in also because our food took a bit long it's my second time going I can tell it's a family own and they really try.

I had the burger that was supposed to have fried jalapeno bottle caps in it and it was just a bland burger with nacho jalapeños in it lol. Not great flavor, service was good though.

Our first time here. The only reason I gave them two stars is because our waitress was nice and the coffee was hot and always filled. The omelet and potatoes were greasy. The biscuits in the gravey were hard(that's the reason for so much gravey ). The quality of food is overpriced for breakfast. Extra tortillas were $2.85 for only 2! Not going back!

Used to be pretty good but last time we ate there we were very disappointed with food & cleanliness. We ordered a Ortega French Dip & Steak (cooked mefium) w/mashed potatoes & gravy. The meat on the French dip was like that box meat Steak-umm and the medium cooked steak came out extremely well done, potatoes were old and cold served with gravy on the side that didn't pour out but scooped out looking like jello. When we were leaving the entire window was filled with customers orders waiting to be delivered. Manager is to focused hanging out in the bar rather then helping. Needless to say, we probably won't be back.

Everything we ordered was nasty nasty nasty from the burnt hamburger burnt onion rings (which were supposed to come with the hamburger, but was charged 2.50 extra)she didnt advise me of. burnt fish the fries were good the meatloaf dinner looked like a salisbury steak TV dinner, no flavor they had no mashed potatoes, the tiniest baked potato, the spaghetti plate was a large plate of noodles with a splash of sauce they did have good garlic toast they served a wedding ring soup that had maybe two tiny little meatballs in it and no flavor the place was dark dungeony felt dirty and the hostess instead of coming to our table and asking us if we need anything leaned over the counter and yelled to asked if we were all right. needless to say we didn't leave a tip will not be going back and will not recommend

I went here with my sister and my brother in law. The server kept forgetting our meal. She delivered a little bit at a time. We had to keep reminding her of our food. We ordered a beer in the beginning of our meal and finally received it after our meal was over to top it off it was a frozen beer. Smh. The food itself was good. Presented nicely when we did finally receive it. The sitting area outside wasn't very appealing. Tables are old and falling apart held together with tape. You can smoke outside as your eating your meal. The exit is near by. I went on a Sunday morning, there wasn't much of a wait. You can either eat your meal outside or inside this environment be sure to wear your face mask since it is required. Prices are reasonable. Tip should be an option especially if you get poor service. Other than that my experience wasn't the best .I would rate this place a 4 out of 10.

Went to the lounge/bar for the first time this weekend w/ a few friends and the bartender on duty had a VERY unwelcoming vibe and extremely poor attitude. She was a blonde woman who might’ve been in her late 30s early 40s. I think she was being judgmental because we were a younger crowd (22-30) as I got carded twice. But we were well mannered and I was even being extra nice towards her so I’m not sure why she was being such a hater lol. Also, the modelo on tap was disgusting.

I had a takeout order. The food was everywhere, the fires were stale and cold. I live 2 minutes away, the fries shouldn’t have been cold like they were. The tomato, onions, and lettuce were on the right side of the plate along with the top half of the bread, while the bottom half of the burger was on the left. When I picked up the bottom half it was covered in mayo. 10/10 don’t recommend.

Was looking frwd to eating here after seeing the ad...food was awful, server was to busy chatting with friends at a corner table and our change was wrong. She seemed like a hard worker and friendly but the overall experience was awful. Funny, she immediately knew when we asked about the change...

Gross! I figured with four stars that it was safe to eat here...wrong! I am shocked that there are still restaurants like this. Canned green beans, frozen burger steak, margarine (instead of butter), baked potato had obviously been sitting in a warmer for a very long time, instant gravy, peach pie had 2 slices of peaches, etc. Even fast-food is better! Friendly service but I wish I would have gone to McDonald's instead.

Passed by thus restaurant numerous times over the past 10 years. We finally decided to go eat breakfast. We should have just went to Dennys across the street. The food was greasy. The service was okay. The atmosphere was just Okay. The only reason why I gave them one star is because our coffee stayed filled.

The food isn’t like it used to be. Items on the menu come out different then described. Some items not even available because they didn’t replenish stock. Very disappointed. This used to be a good spot. Not anymore. The bar is always out on several of the beer taps. Poor food and drink management.

Do not come here. Came here once for dinner. It took 20 minutes for a refill that we had to ASK for. Waitress brought my son the wrong plate twice.... well the first one was correct but she thought it was wrong. Mac and cheese is boxed. Husbands nachos were ice cold by the time they were brought to the table. Waitress cared more about eating pie than her customers. The restaurant was not even close to busy and it was the worst service I have ever received.

The first time I came here with my family it was great and they were busy and got the food out within minutes of placing our order and today there was only about 2 tables sat which were already eating and we placed a appetizer that NEVER came to us. We waited for our food for over 30 minutes and when my dad got his plate they got it wrong so they needed to remake it and the plate was nothing that took long to cook but they still took another 15. NEVER did they check in on us, NEVER did they give a reason as to why the wait took so long or even offer anything in exchange to our unpleasant visit, and much less did they get a manager to speak too. Very disappointed. I really hope this gets fixed because like i mentioned before the first time was amazing but this second time on a slow Wednesday night ? Unacceptable

I would not recommend this place. There were 5 tables waiting for food when we got there and I should have read the room but decided to give it a shot. We waited hours for our food and so did those around us. We decided to sit at the bar and the bartender disappeared and didn’t come back. If you are hungry, don’t come here. They do not have any idea how to run a restaurant. Don’t come if you want to wait hours, we even tried to cancel our order but could not find anyone to help.

The staff was nice and the food was good but they allowed a customer to let his dog 🐕 run unattended while we were trying to eat as well as other customers. It wasn't a service dog just a dog that a guy brought in. Staff allowed this and he did not contain the dog until we asked him to. Very inconsiderate we won't be returning
