Maria's Taco Shop

Great place. First tried it at the age of around 6 or 7. Rolled tacos were always my favorite as a child. Although now tht im older i like to try new things here at Maria's. Salsa bar is great. Its a must try restaurant.

Maria's has the best food It's better than most of the sit down Mexican restaurants in town if this place had a better dining room They could actually put some of the Mexican restaurants in town out of business!

I always do take out. Wait time is short. Staff is great

There Asada is the 💣 BOMB.. Definitely worth the drive wherever your coming from.. Saturday & Sunday's are 24hrs.. Hands down best Mexican food around.. 5🌟

I just Love the rolled tacos here. GREAT PRICES, Loaded with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and 2 choices of guacamole. Yum. Also, a bountiful selection of free extras you can add to. Awesome if you could just use a bite or need a full out meal. A great go to and personal favorite.

Me and some friends stopped here on a road trip from Canada before Covid. We don't get proper Mexican food up north so I had no idea what I was ordering but whatever I got it was great; super low prices too! Wish we had something like this back home.

Love love love that its 24 hours and the carnitas nacho fries are the business! The rolled tacos are a must try as well! The regular nachos and tacos are nothing to write home about, but the salsa bar is always well stocked and delicious

We have been coming here since it opened. I've tried the rolled tacos, they're ok, used to have ground beef, and now have chicken, which is kinda dry; their carnitas is very good. Nachos supreme is good as well. I also like their bean burritos. Service is friendly and fairly fast. Is sometimes busy at the dinner hour.

Have been going here for years. Great food and friendly staff. Only complaint is that they dye sour cream green and call it "American guacamole! !" Follow up 10/28/2019 ... We ordered out yesterday our usual carne asada burritos. They were AWFUL! I got halfway through my burrito and had spit out 6 large pieces of gristle. Husband's was the same. I couldn't finish mine. Weve never seen it this bad and were very disappointed. We will be going elsewhere in the future

Good food overall, good prices, and open all the time which is great. HOWEVER, there was one time where the chicken was not cooked all the way thru. I told them about it and they thought nothing of it lol So I would only recommend their beef as far as meats lol

They're okay if you're not a picky eater. I order tortas and theyre like $6.49.

It's okay it's like a high quality Taco Bell on the good side they weren't happy when I told then that oh well my opinion

It's okay Mexican food. There's a parking lot that's easy to park in, it may be a little bit difficult to get in and out when there's heavy traffic. There's indoor and outdoor seating and the salsa and carrots are always good and they are self serve. The food just lacks flavor, that's were they loose a few stars for me.

Not the best place to go and eat, especially during the lunch hour. Seems to be packed all the time during lunch. The food isn't the greatest, I suggest you go to the Little Caesar's Pizza next door instead. ⭐⭐⭐⭐=Little Caesar's Pizza.

Evertime I try to call to make an order for pick up there is no answer. I like to save time and not have to just sit in the restaurant for 20 min waiting for my food.

They lie about their hours. They change them constantly. Their food is inconstant and they change their prices often and charge you more. I would never recommend this place

Some evenings after a long day my wife and I just don't feel like cooking. I always think to self, "man, marias sounds delicious right now", but they never answer their phone to hear my order so I go somewhere else lol

One front worker wearing a mask. Another younger front worker not. My daughter ordered a veggie burrito, and after eating half of it, she bit into something hard. The burrito had a piece of wood with stripped blue paint on it, about 3 1/2 inches long and 1/4 inch wide.

Lol ordered #5 which is enchiladas and got toqitos!! Where do you get toqitos from enchiladas!!! Here's a tip when a person orders a # that's what they should get that's why there's a menu! Will never go here again!

Was not happy ordered 2 grilled chicken tacos the meat was not grilled it was boiled then topped with tomatoes no onions no cilantro .. husband ordered asada steak burrito meat had no seasoning he did not like it. I don’t know what the disconnect was but this place used to be good. Won’t come back wasted money I could have used for gas!!

Just ordered food from here an enchilada and two drinks. The drinks were poorly packaged and spilled all over my food I called to tell them and they just laughed and hung up. Whenever I called again they immediately hung up on me.

Ordered two items, workers were too busy conversating and laughing to realize my order was never made until 35 minutes later when I went to grab what I believed was my order, only for them to say they didn’t know they hadn’t made that order. Horrible experience, workers need to be taught some actual customer service.

Went to Marie taco in atwater this evening after a long day. I ordered a grill chicken burrito 4 asada tacos and one asada burrito the lady repeated my order I recappedmy order we both agreed what the order was. My husband drove 25 miles home with the order only to find out that the grill chicken burrito was roast beef and very very little chicken like 4 pieces not going to drive all the way back won’t be going again!! EVER!!!

Girl took our order. afterwards she didnt give one drink so i asked about it she replied rudely..... you didnt order it!! i told her yeah my wife told you a large drink, she just wanted to argue instead of take care of the situation!

I went last night at 11:35pm to be told they’re closed, business hours says there open til midnight.. had to drive to Merced asked the lady if she knows when the owner will be in so I can call she told me her son will be in the morning called in morning spoke to Edgar he was rude and very unprofessional didn’t care at all about me as a customer and hung up on me.. I don’t recommend anyone here since they don’t value there customer..

Ordered 3 shredded beef tacos. Meat was burnt and crispy like it had sat for a while then was re cooked. Took one bite and threw the whole thing out. Waste of 10 bucks and a luch break

While OTP I started crying and this man said “and you’re laughing now, have a great day” and hung up, did not answer my call again. Very poor service and customer service. Very disappointed.

The cheese was not melted on the cheese enchiladas inside or on the outside. I ordered the shrimp fajitas which had absolutely zero seasoning. I almost wondered if they were just boiled in water because that's how bland they were. The rice also seemed to have no seasoning at all. My teenager complained that there was no flavor on his plate as well. Needless to say, after spending $50 there my dog had a great meal tonight but we will not be back.

I didn’t even make it to the shop and I was already given bad customer service. I called in for an order and the lady who answered was super rude! Her background was super loud and she was echoing so there were a lot of “what’s?” Then I repeated that I wanted a supreme burrito the lady said “yea that’s what I said I don’t understand why you can’t hear me” in a extremely rude tone! So then I proceed to tell her she can cancel my order because I no longer want to order anything from her. I’ve had friends whom have had bad service there but I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt and try them. NEVER AGAIN! Not with their bad customer service! However I did end up going to the Maria’s in Merced to which I got GREAT customer service from! The lady who worked there have always given great customer service.
