Ninja Sushi

Some of the best sushi I have ever had pricing for rolls is mainly between 10-15 dollars. The rolls are bigger than rolls I have gotten at most other sushi restaurants. The atmosphere inside is rather laid back and relaxing as well. All in all a great place to enjoy sushi and chat with friends and family.

Great quality fish!! Great presentation!!! Service is always prompt and kind!! The price is easy on the wallet too!! There are fancier and more famous but this place is on point!!

Very well made sushi rolls, and ramens as well. . Nice environment. Pretty long sushi bar where you can sit and order. The lunch. Specials are a really good deal. You get a lot of food at a very good price. Highly recommended.

They're my go to place for sushi in town. Always quality food & service as well as reasonable prices. Highly reccommend! (my only critique would be the sticky floor in the bathroom, I've, there several times, & it's always gross....)

We were at Ninja Sushi on a Monday night. The service was exceptionally quick. The food was delicious and the presentation beautiful. There are so many fabulous rolls to choose from that I'm looking forward to many trips to explore them all. We just moved into the Auburn area, and this is the first sushi place that tastes on par with Zakuro in Lincoln (it's the third sushi place we've tried). Excellent! And the staff was very friendly and even remembered my husband, though he'd only been there once before.

Amazing!!!! My favorite is the Philly and my husband doesn't like sushi BUT he loved the teriyaki chicken roll with the soy paper instead of seaweed. And he loves the pot stickers so we both win! The rolls are huge! One will fill you up

Went to Ninja Sushi for my daughters 13th birthday party. Nice atmosphere. Cool location near downtown Auburn so you can take a stroll through town after you eat. Service was excellent and food was very good. Roll selection is impressive. Topped it off with mochi and an amazing deep fried ice cream complete with a candle. Don't forget to spin the wheel of fortune on your birthday. Nice touch! My son now wants to go first his birthday. Thanks Ninja!

Love this place, Great lunch specials. Trust the chefs choice for a cheap lunch with 2 rolls of surprise by the sushi chef and 3 pieces of nigiri. Thai Chicken from the kitchen is hot, but great flavor. Staff is always nice, and smiling, even had the wait staff insist a rush order to the chef when they found out my order came with wasabi when i asked for it to not be but were super busy. Great Local Spot. Helpful?

We went there awhile ago and didn't care for it to much. Came back to it for convenience and it was amazing. I don't know if they got two new cooks or what but the food and sauces were some of the best I have had in the area. The service was very impressive on a busy night as well.

I love that they are not over breaded/fried and I really enjoyed the freshness and flavor of the fish. The salmon was absolutely perfect and their wasabi was really good. I wish I took pictures before we ate our rolls but I don't usually do reviews... However, after having some I realized that I had to do a review for this. I usually have to order two rolls for myself but found that they were so big I couldn't even finish them. You will definitely be coming back. The price that was fear in the staff are incredible and the food is so delicious. Also I read some of the other reviews, and did not have a problem that others did too much sauce. Ours were seasoned perfectly and the sauce was delicious. We will definitely be back soon!!!

Nice selection of outstanding sushi. I ordered the Rainbow Roll and another sushi roll that combined several types of fresh fish. The atmosphere isn't too casual or too spendy, it's just right. While there, I couldn't help but notice a variety of flamed rolls being served to other patrons. Will have to try those myself, next time I drop in.

The place is very nice and lots of tables and sitting at the bar. The waiter was nice and we got our drinks and sushi very fast. The food was in big portions. I had the dragon roll and it was delicious. We shared some BBQ albacore as an appetizer . It was perfect. We had so much food that we ended taking some home. I will definitely be coming back here.

I had dinner here the other night, and the food is fresh and very satisfying. Rolls are amply sized and scrumptious. I had the rainbow roll along with ono, saba, and hamachi nigiri. The nigiri pieces were fresh and mouth watering. The prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food. Friendly service and a charming interior round out the experience.

Semi long wait for a table to be cleared but the waitress was pleasant and the food was delicious. I loved both rolls that I ordered they were beautifully plated and the flavor was excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed and will be going back again.

One of our favorite romps in Auburn. Good food and great friendly people! They always treat their regulars to free saki =) Very aware of food sensitivities and eager to make accommodations. Lots for gluten free eaters here. Jay, the owner is great and also stops by to say hi and chat. Nice, low key place for an enjoyable meal.

The flavor of our rolls was great. They do not have as many choices as most sushi restaurants have but for what they have it is good. You cannot see the TVs from the back room so that kinda sucks. I would go there again.

Not the best sushi I've ever had at all. Took my son there for his 18th birthday, and left feeling uncomfortably full. I usually leave sushi feeling almost high...but not this time. Maybe it was a bad day to go...it was a Monday.

The food here was amazing, but the service could've been much better. We waited about 10 minutes to be seated with an empty bar right in front of us, and the wait staff were in no rush whatsoever even though they were busy. At one point while waiting to be seated a waitress asked us how many were in our group (only 2) then turned around and acted like we weren't there instead of seating us or even telling us it'll be a minute. Once we were finally seated at a table (after a couple who came in after us) I noticed that the waitress had not cleaned it very well and failed to put the normal fixings (soy sauce, Sriracha, etc.) out on our table. It took forever to order just a few rolls because they just were not rushing the way they should've been. I work in a sushi restaurant so I can differentiate between busy workers and lazy workers... These guys were lazy. It is also noteworthy that the sushi itself was delicious, yet so overstuffed that it fell apart and was extremely messy.

Seated quickly...3 chefs, rolls came quick. The problem is the rolls are covered in sauce...too much sauce takes away from fish flavor. A few of the bites were fishy and the meat needs to be colder..room temp fish won't cut it. First time here, may try again...also spicy tuna is minced beyond belief. Chunky tuna is always better.

Definitely really sad, but we are going to try it one more time before we give up on driving an hour away for this restaurant.

I used to frequent this place in 2008 to 2010. I loved it. I loved a roll called Smokehouse and would even call it in to go all the time. It was sooo good. I decided to call it in as I was in the area. I was told 20 minutes. Ok. I waited. I walked in, picked it up to go and anxiously took the first piece. Disappointed! I could tell at first sight. Soggy, loosely rolled, bigger around than I recalled... appeared to have sat maybe 10 min before I came promptly in 20 minutes. Not sure but it was not the Smokehouse I loved. Bummed.

As far as ambiance, boxing was on the TV - not what I want to watch while I'm eating, there were drip marks from something on the wall next to where I sat and the front door was dirty. I'm giving two stars because, like I said, the waitress was excellent, and the salad, although small, was good.

Terrible service! Probably one of the worst I've encountered in a while. The food was sitting on the counter for 10-15 min. The waitress did not serve the food immediately when It was done. Talking to other waiters and on her phone at some points. There weren't many people about 5 small groups. Did not tell the specials. Did not bring out water when asked for twice. Also, the order of sushi consisted of 3 different types and two ended up being the same roll. It was very soggy for sushi!!! Tasted of mayonnaise. The crab in it was fake which was extremely gross. Low quality shrimp & tuna, avocado was browned. I had food poisoning for a couple days after this meal. I will never eat here again.

I don’t know how this place is even in business. Unprofessional staff. Wrong orders. Rolls are are not fresh, smothered in sauce to hide something, too big to even eat. I heard this place was good years ago. I will definitely not be going back.

I just watched the sushi chef blow his nose and then walk directly behind the counter and make sushi again without washing his hands. Absolutely disgusting. Will not be returning.

Our server was working the floor by herself at the time (although the owner and/or manager was there and sitting at the front). The server accidentally thought we ordered the "Ninja Family Boat". I can understand how the mistake would happen and, honestly, they probably need to change the names of those 2 boats to avoid future confusion. With that said, when things started to arrive, we were slightly confused as something seemed off, but we also didn't receive all the items that come with the "Ninja Family Boat" so despite our confusion we didn't ask questions. In hindsight, that was our mistake and I own that. When we got the bill it was obviously much higher than expected. When I asked the owner about it and pointed out that we hadn't actually received everything in the higher priced boat, she got incredibly defensive and said it was up to the server to decide what to do because the server would have to pay out of pocket for the mistake. As someone who has spent half my life working in restaurants I was appalled that they would make their servers pay for honest mistakes (especially when it would be so easy to make as the boats are virtually named the same thing and the server was working the floor by herself with very little support or help). I have never in all the years I've worked in a restaurant had someone tell a customer that or treat their staff in that manner. I was, of course, totally uncomfortable with the server having to pay the difference. She did the best she could and had given good service despite the mistake. I told the owner I would pay the full amount despite not ordering that item or receiving the full item anyway, but that I couldn't in good conscience return to the restaurant. It's too bad as my husband and I really liked going there. After much back and forth she begrudgingly agreed to give me 10% off the boat, but I still just can't support a business that treats their customers AND employees so horribly. That server deserved better. The 3 stars for service is only because of the server. I'd give 0 stars for the owner and/or manager.

The rolls tasted terrible, so much so that we didn't finish our dinner. Our roll was swimming in sauce and the crunch that comes on top tasted months old. Our entire order was either messed up or tasted bad. This is our 2nd bad experience since the new ownership and I would not recommend it nor will we be going back.

Then taking his phone to the bathroom and after returning from the restroom, he propped his phone back up on his preparation area. That grossed me out completely. I used the restroom before leaving and I probably shouldn't have, it was filthy and did not have a functioning soap dispenser. In fact the whole place looks dirty.. The menus, the walls, the floors. Just gross.. The whole experience was awful!
