This place truly impressed us 🙌 It was our first time visiting, and from today on it’s officially our favorite Mediterranean spot. Everything was amazing from the appetizers to the Mediterranean pizza. We loved the hummus, the lamb chops were super fresh with excellent seasoning, and the chicken was just as delicious. Denis’ service was excellent and made the experience even better. Definitely coming back soon! ✨
I had such a great time at Almarah Grill Mediterranean Cuisine! This family-owned Mediterranean spot serves incredibly flavorful, authentic dishes with rich spices and fresh ingredients , every bite was delicious. The hummus, kebabs, and pita were standout favorites, and the overall vibe was warm and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone craving halal Mediterranean eats in Austin! 🍢🥙✨
I’ve been craving a BBQ Chicken Pizza, but I’m picky about them. Most places mess it up somehow, so I’ve been avoiding ordering one out of fear of disappointment. Then I remembered Almarah — they’ve never let me down when the Mediterranean craving hits — and realized they make pizza too. So the wife and I decided to run a little experiment and ordered two smalls: Garlic Chicken and BBQ Chicken. Let me just say… The BBQ Chicken pizza absolutely committed a crime. It showed up. It looked innocent enough. Next thing I know… the entire pizza has vanished and there’s nothing left but an empty box and grease marks like a chalk outline. The Garlic Chicken pizza was good, but the BBQ Chicken was the undisputed rockstar of the night. As you can see in the photo, Valkyrie watched the whole operation go down, hoping for a heroic crust toss… and got absolutely nothing. Not even a pity crumb. She’s still processing the betrayal. Best pizza I’ve had so far in 2026. Safe to say next pizza night is already decided.
Amazing experience. Out waiter (he who shall not be named (sadly)) was genuinely the best. I hope he loves me as much as I love him. Because I love him so much. More than Snow White loves Charming, more than Cristiano Ronaldo loves football, more than Mozart loved music, more than MLK loved desegregation, and more than I love myself.
A hidden gem! Almarah is serving some authentic and delicious Mediterranean food. It’s my go to now whenever I’m craving it and we are always ordering their shawarma, pizza or one of their plates! Best part of they also have house made desserts to satisfy sweet cravings too!
This was our first time and everything was wonderful! We shared a lot of hot black tea steeped with mint leaves and shared hummus with veggies and pita bread and we all had various meat platters with a wonderful Greek salad and rice. Everything was top quality and delish!! Will definitely be back!!! Highly recommend.
Great experience at Almarah!Cozy ambiance and authentic Mediterranean food. I tried the mixed grill platter, and an amazing $12.99 deal with beef or gyro chicken, fries or salad, and a drink. Also loved the hummus, baba ghanoush, falafel, and the refreshing mint margarita. Desserts baklava and kunafa were delicious. Definitely recommend!
We had the kabaab, foul, lentil soup and it was absolutely amazing!! very tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted fresh. The quality of the food really stood out, and the service was friendly and welcoming. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to and recommending to others.
First time eating here and it was fantastic! Thr food came out quickly and was fresh and delicious! I ordered the gyro plate and just a good size portion and flavorful. Our server Muhammed was very attentive, and checked on us multiple times. Very friendly and prompt. Would go here again and recommend to anyone who enjoys Mediterranean cuisine.
Great service and great food. We went in with a big party and we were able to get seated immediately! Our server was so kind and nice and also very attentive to the table. The food came out in a timely manner and we did not once feel rushed while eating or even after we were all done eating!
This is the best restaurant in the state. We came for a school project and the staff were so nice. The owner answered all of our questions and our waiter Hakeem was so nice. They even gave us free dessert and made our drinks on the house. The food was by far the best middle eastern food I’ve ever had. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone that is hungry.
Almarah Mediterranean Cuisine is a true gem in Austin! From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed like family. Our servers, Karim and Mohamed, went above and beyond with their warm hospitality, knowledge of the menu, and genuine care for our experience—they made the evening feel special. The food was absolutely outstanding. The clay pot dish was deeply flavorful, full of rich spices and slow-cooked perfection. The mezza grill offered a wonderful variety—every bite was fresh, vibrant, and perfectly seasoned. And the desserts? The baklava was the perfect finale: flaky, nutty, and just the right balance of sweet. It’s rare to find a place where every dish feels made with love and every detail—from the fresh, steaming pita to the attentive service—comes together so seamlessly. Almarah captures the spirit of Mediterranean dining and brings it to Austin beautifully. We can’t wait to return!
I’m super excited to share my experience for lunch here. They exceeded my expectations. I’ve been in the Middle East and I haven’t really found the proper baba ghanoush—-too sour from others. Here I could taste the eggplant—-fresh and more savory like I wanted it! The liver appetizer was bomb! Quality was good and cooked just right, tender and flavorful, perfect with the bread! I had the lamb chops, excellent portion and I thought I was going to save for work the next day but I finished the whole thing in two meals! The clay pot set the tone as finale for us! Mohammed was very professional, accommodating and knows the food he serves! We got free baklava for kicks and it was yummy. This place brought me back to one of the best Mediterranean/Middle East places I’ve been since 2009! They give military discount! Must try and to die for!
Absolutely loved the Arabic chicken shawarma and Chicken kebab plate; the first bite into shawarma felt surreal, it was heavenly. Highly recommend it! The Baklava’s are freshly made, it was authentic and delicious. Kasseem(representative) was very warm with service and it a very pleasant experience, the ambience and songs playing in the background gave us a complete end-to-end Arabic experience. This place is a gem🙏
Almarah offers the perfect mix of authentic flavors and generous portions. Our favorites are the pizzas and lamb chops. Almarah is one of only two places in the Austin area that serves a variety of pizza sizes and flavors, and lets you mix and match as you order. Out of the two, this one is by far the better choice! The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and happy to offer recommendations. The atmosphere is casual and family-friendly, making it a great spot whether you're stopping in for lunch or enjoying a relaxed dinner.
Ordered catering from Almarah over the weekend and the food was incredible! We had about 16 guests and everyone had nothing nice things to say! The meat we ordered was so tender. The hummus was a hit. Our only regret was not ordering more. We loved it. Also, they delivered right on time, despite the heavy rainfall we experienced. I’m so happy I got to share some authentic middle eastern cuisines with my friends! 10/10
The is easily the best Mediterranean food in the area. All the withers pale in flavor and quality. The beef, lamb and chicken are all very tender and exploding with flavor. The hummus is delightful and the pitas are soft and fluffy. The mint lemonade is also an interesting treat. I can't wait to return to this place!
This place has some of the best Mediterranean food I had in Austin! I went to soup is delicious. Falafel was served like artwork and tastes amazing and the pita is homemade and fresh hot right out of the oven! I’ll be back again again : )
Really good food. Very clean. Comfortable and spacious. All dinner items were good. Salads , main dishes, desserts and the breath taking very refreshing their Lemon mint smoothie. The place is family and kids friendly. Prices are reasonable. I recommend the place without hesitation. Will be ther again soon. The servers are very polite, and efficient but will benefit from an additional polishing. Thank you
We Had a good experience at this restaurant! The main dishes were quite decent, and the salads were really fresh and delicious. The lamb and beef kebabs were cooked perfectly, with great flavor. The variety of salads was impressive, catering to all tastes. The atmosphere and service were also satisfying. We’ll definitely visit again!
I visited Almarah Grill after seeing some online promotions, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to my expectations. The place itself looks good and is well-maintained, providing a pleasant dining atmosphere. We went for brunch, and while the highlight of our meal was the falafel, which tasted really good and had great flavor, the main meal was somewhat disappointing. It lacked the authenticity and taste we were hoping for based on the promotions we had seen. Overall, it's a decent spot with a nice ambiance, but the food experience fell a bit short. Might consider visiting again to try different menu items, but expectations will be more measured next time.
Came here last night from out of town visiting family to eat before a long drive back. Altogether it was an odd experience. To drink we had a water and a soda; both tasted weird/plasticky, so maybe the local tap water is bad, but come on, that water gets served to guests and then interacts with most of the food during cooking. The service was all over the place, between mildly rude/unhelpful/checked-out servers, having to insist that something was a different tables' food, etc. We ordered 3 different lamb dishes. These varied considerably in flavor and how well they were cooked. Of these, I would say the lamb liver was pretty good; but on the other end, the lamb shank was unappealing and the sauce tasted 'off' in some way, perhaps old. I'm not a restauranteur, but perhaps the menu needs to be smaller to make more consistent dishes.
We used to live nearby and ate here regularly and it was always 5 stars. Since moving away, we don't get to try them as often. But I was near there yesterday, and decided to get some takeout. I was VERY disappointed. I had the shwarma mezza plate with chicken and beef. The chicken was dry and flavorless, and the beef was so tough it was inedible. My husband had the shrimp kabobs, which were also overcooked and lacked spice. The rice used to be one of our favorites, but what we had last night was not the same. The hummus and baba ganoush were good, as was the baklava. Very disappointing!
