Opinions de An Nyeong K Tofu & BBQ Austin
Service was great and everyone was so kind! Food is really good too, I got the tofu soup and my partner got the beef bibimbap. The banchan here is excellent too!
Finding a place that serves good Korean food in Austin is quite a challenge, but this new spot was a delightful surprise. I tried the Bibimbap, mixed rice in stoneware, Tofu Soup, Seafood Pancake, and Marinated Crab. Not only were the main dishes delicious, but the side dishes were also incredibly fresh and tasty. The Seafood Pancake was especially impressive, with a crispy outside and a moist, flavorful inside. The Tofu Soup was great because I could adjust the spiciness. The Bibimbap had perfectly seasoned vegetables, and everything came together harmoniously. It’s rare to find Marinated Crab in this area, so I was thrilled to see it on the menu and it did not disappoint. Overall, every dish was excellent, and I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for authentic Korean cuisine in Austin.
4.7 stars. We were craving Korean flavors and fortunately found this spot. A short drive from Downtown, there was plenty of parking when we arrived. Wife had the Kimchi Tofu Stew while I went with the Spicy Pork Stone Bowl. The banchan was very good. We finished it in no time at all so the waitress brought us another round! The entrees were delicious and served piping hot! The team of employees was efficient and kept our waters topped off all evening. All-in with tip, dinner totaled $50 which was about what we expected.
My wife and I had an outstanding culinary experience at this Korean restaurant. We ordered the kimchi tofu soup with pork and the seafood and vegetables dolsot bibimbap (stone bowl), and both dishes exceeded our expectations. The tofu soup arrived piping hot with six different side dishes and a raw egg to crack into the bubbling broth – a delightful touch that added richness to the soup. Every single side dish was expertly prepared and flavorful. The kimchi stood out with its perfect fermentation and balanced spice, while the noodles were silky and savory. As a soup enthusiast, I can confidently say this tofu soup has converted me into a regular – I’m already planning to work my way through their entire tofu soup menu. The seafood and vegetables was equally impressive. Served in a sizzling hot stone bowl, it continued to cook at the table, creating that coveted crispy, golden rice layer at the bottom – easily the best part of the dish. The seafood was remarkably fresh, featuring tender octopus and shrimp that were perfectly cooked. The colorful array of vegetables added both visual appeal and a variety of textures that made every bite interesting. The one area where there’s room for improvement is the service. While our server was efficient and professional, the interactions felt somewhat neutral – not unwelcoming, but not particularly warm either. A bit more friendliness would elevate the overall dining experience to match the exceptional quality of the food. What truly sets this restaurant apart is the exceptional quality-to-price ratio. For dishes of this caliber, with such generous portions and attention to detail, the pricing is more than fair. Despite the service being somewhat reserved, the combination of authentic preparation, fresh ingredients, and outstanding value has made this one of my go-to spots. This restaurant has definitely gained a loyal, regular customer.
Been coming here for lunch with my coworkers regularly. Their soon tofu soup bomb as hell. Spicy level 8 - 9 should be a perfect taste. Banchans aka sidedishes are all great also.
I ordered kimchi tofu with beef soup and spicy grilled pork, they both come with a bowl of rice and panchan. The kimchi pancha is fresh as it is homemade, I also like the sweet and sour seaweed. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Great Korean food! Located near the new upcoming Hmart location on Burnet. Service is quick. Highly recommend for students, nearby office staff, visitors, and the locals.
This was our first time eating Korean tofu soup and it was awesome! We had the original with beef. So tasty with all the sides. Can't wait to come back to try other dishes!
It’s the best Korean restaurant we’ve ever had in the US! We ordered crab tofu soup and beef rice. The tofu soup is full of tofu and is very savory. As for the beef rice, there can be more meat, but lots of vegetable, which is great. The bets thing we had is seafood pancake, vey crispy! Will be back and try BBQ next time!
Have been wanting to try this, and the food did not disappoint! I got the tofu and beef soup, and everything was delicious and perfectly seasoned. Will definitely be back to try other dishes!
I've come many times and everything is fine, but when can the shrimps be changed to larger ones? They would be even more delicious. The smaller shrimps have a less pleasant taste.

Probably my favorite Korean restaurant in Austin so far coming from the Dallas (Carrollton) Korean food scene. They offer crab soondubu which was very tasty. The pork was flavorful and tender. It came with purple rice and barely tea which is a good sign in any Korean establishment. I am so glad I ordered the seafood pancake - it’s probably the fluffiest I’ve ever had and it was delicious. Would definitely come back again to try their galbitang :)

Amazing Korean spot in Austin! We tried the combination tofu soup, seafood pancake, stone pot bibimbap, and BBQ beef. The tofu soup was super authentic and delicious, and the seafood pancake was the best in town—crispy and packed with flavor. The bibimbap wasn’t hot enough for crispy rice and felt too oily. The BBQ beef was tasty but more like beef stir-fry. Great service and vibe. Will be back!
Wow. Mad respect. I am from LA and this place was awesome. They accommodated a party of 8 without the reservation. A waitress was so attentive and courteous. She remembered everyone's order. The food was amazing and delicious- so much so that we snarfed it down without giving me an opportunity to snap some photos🤣 This place is better than any other tofu place I have ever had, and yes, including few BCD lodations. Highly highly recommended!
We were deeply impressed by how authentic the entire Korean dining experience felt. The flavors were outstanding — the bibimbap was deeply flavorful, and the kimchi and banchan (side dishes) were absolutely incredible. Each side was fresh, well-balanced, and clearly made with care, making the meal feel truly traditional and satisfying. What really stood out was the hospitality. As vegetarians, we don’t usually have many options at Korean BBQ restaurants, but the owner went out of his way to accommodate us — thoughtfully selecting vegetarian-friendly sides and graciously bringing more as our large group happily devoured them. His kindness and warmth were genuinely touching and made us feel so welcome. Amazing food, authentic flavors, and heartfelt hospitality. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a true Korean experience. 🇰🇷💛
My parents and I had dinner here and were impressed with everything we had! Central Austin has been lacking great Korean food for a long time, so I'm very glad Annyeong is here. We had the seafood soondubu jigae, BBQ chicken bibimbap, and the injeolmi mugwort brownie. Everything was so delicious, but I was especially surprised by the injeolmi brownie! Not too sweet and the delicate mugwort and injeolmi flavors shine through the rich chocolate. Can't wait to eat here again :)
If you’re looking for a place to eat GOOD Korean food, this is it! I’m very picky about my tteobokki and this one was DELICIOUS. 10/10. Their bbq plates are enough for 2 people, they are very kind to refill your rice and banchans. We also tried the raw marinated crab and it was very good but we ended up taking it home it was a lot of food. Friendly staff and the owner/manager was very attentive as well.

Been awhile since I've been here since they opened. Menu seems a lot smaller. Wanted to get the korean veggie tofu soup pretty much the whole reason I came. Unfortunately they don't have posted anywhere that the base of the soup they use for all their soup is beef and clam which if you have a shellfish allergy I would make sure to ask to verify as I would have had a severe reaction if I didnt ask and its not posted anywhere on their menu that this contains shellfish which clam is a shellfish. Had to get chicken bowl instead it was okay. Sides were good and our server was very nice
I came here based on a high volume of recommendations/praise. Being Korean, I take my Korean food seriously. That being said, the food is solid. The overall experience is comparable to other places like Chodang Tofu House with a bit more modern decor. The Cold Arrowroot Noodle, Galbi, and Tofu Soup were all good, but not outstanding. The Arrowroot Noodle's broth was slightly lacking in flavor & depth, but still good for Austin standards. The Galbi is about what you can expect, decently good. The Tofu Soup was solid, but wished it had more protein, but the spice levels were on point. Service was nothing out of the ordinary, not bad not outstanding. The atmosphere was nice enough & brightly lit, but perhaps a bit too open feeling due to the giant open floor plan not broken up in any way. Value-wise, I personally would not order the Arrowroot Cold Noodle + Galbi combo, but could see myself ordering the Tofu Soup. Overall, the hype is a little out of hand, but the food is fairly good. Try it out, but I will stick to going to Chodang Tofu House which is physically closer to me.
We came in on a Friday evening and were seated immediately despite the crowd. The service was a little slow im between but they were prompt and kept refilling our banchan We got bbq chicken, tbbeokki with cheese and bbq pork bibimbap, all of them extra spicy. The best out of the lot was the stone bibimbap, the rice was crispy with plenty of veggies and pork. The chicken was sadly disappointing, it could have has so much flavor but it felt like boiled chicken put on a grill plate. This place has some of the best banchan, well seasoned and the favorite for me was the potatoes. I lost track of how many plates of potatoes I ate, it was the best. The entrees quantities are huge and really good for sharing. For dessert, we got the ube brownie with ice cream and coconut flakes. I was skeptical to try it but it was delicious 😋

The food was fantastic. We had the Galbi, tofu soup, and BBQ beef, and each dish was packed with flavor. The Galbi was tender and tasty, the tofu soup was warm and comforting, and the BBQ beef was perfectly grilled. Prices are a bit high, but that’s pretty standard for Austin. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, a great experience that felt worth the price.
We ordered Kimchi Tofu Soup, Galbi, spicy pork, grilled mackerel and Beef bibimbap. The highlight for me was their banchan. The best marinated was the spicy pork. The Galbi was grilled nicely but I like stronger marinate. Same with bibimbap presentation perfect but I prefer more sesame oil for richer nuttier flavor. Kimchee tofu soup + mackerel 👌🏻 We happen to choose a busy holiday to visit. Make sure to flag someone to get your name on the list if you are waiting.

This place is a really great spot! They have some really authentic K-food. The menu is clearly labeled with protein options, and the service is super fast. You get a ton of side dishes with your meal – it's a great experience! The staff is really polite and friendly. There's plenty of parking available. The prices are reasonable too.
Good food but a little on the pricey side. My boyfriend got a beef bibimbap, it was huge and he said it tasted pretty good. I got the raw marinated crab and the original tofu soup . I enjoyed the raw marinated crab, but I feel like the seasoning didn’t enhance the flavors of the meat as much as it could have. On the other hand I really loved the original tofu soup with spicy level hot. The flavors were really good, I like the beef in it and most of the side dishes were delicious.

Food is good, decent portions. The only reason why I am not giving it a higher rating is the service. My spouse and I came here for lunch and we were the only interracial couple in the dining room, and our server was incredibly mean to us. She slammed our bowls, talked over us, and was overall just awful. I did not see her act this way towards anyone else. We were nothing but polite towards her and I don't think we deserve this kind of treatment.
