General Malice (Malice Media LLC.)

It is Ms malice's birthday and we decided to head on over to the highland area to eat at this Mediterranean restaurant. We came in an hour before closing and it was nice and quiet. Large seating sections and a nice traditional seating area. You order at the counter and then self-serving from there on as far as condiments and your silverware. We decided to get a variation of all the different types of food that they had that were used to. Domas the start which were pretty good, nice and cold. Then for our entrees most of us had traditional rice and chicken lamb or the beef. As far as scenery, it's very beautiful setting and I can see where it'd be very fun to hang out having time. When I do come back I'll definitely look at some more of the traditional and food options which look very delicious and I saw some people receiving their dinner, though I can't tell what it is.

I’ve passed by this restaurant many times over the last several years, always wanting to stop in and had not until today, I am disappointed that I had not taken the time to go in sooner Establishment is very unique well-kept, and the food is outstanding. Omg!! A must visit spot on your Austin outings, perfact for date night or just to grab a bite to eat.. Affordable and food was amazing. The staff was great and place was clean and decorated cute. We will be back!

This an amazing place to eat and chat! I go in for the weekly lunch buffet special. Where I get a healthy/wholesome lunch for under $20. The staff is always welcoming. The lunch is surprisingly fresh with every visit. Their seating is always clean and they even have floor seating for adults to reserve. I plan to make this my typical lunch spot while I go back to school. It's less than 5 minute drive to ACC/ Highland campus/Aveda!

I love this place! They have delicious food and a great atmosphere! I love the floor seating. They have a good selection of vegan options. They have vegan pizza! You can get Daiya cheese - personally not my favorite vegan cheese but it’s great they have the option! I got the lentil soup, hummus and tabbouleh! The lentil soup is really good.

It's a great place to stop by for a friendly and comfortable environment. They have a buffet for lunch, and you can always go for their " lunch specials " to have a healthy vegie or non-vegie plate. The kebabs are the "my to go" with the salad on the side. However, the rice is soft, and if you are not eating a lot, you can just pass it.

First time here, came during lunch for my break. They have a section were the food is ready to eat and is visible to the guests. Since it is ready to eat it can be fast to get your food. They also have an option where you can order of a menu specific things you want. The service was very friendly and helpful. The gentlemen that was taking our order was very helpful and guided us through how to order. Food was good, try the lamb! They also have Hot tea available if you want to opt out on a cold drink. The ambiance is great and it makes you feel like you’re in their country trying their food.

The food is always delicious. I liked the greek salad and my husband always likes the rice. The pistachio baklava is always delicious.

Great lunch for $12 which included drink, salad, three vegetables, gyro meat and pita bread. Everything was delicious and I would definitely eat here again when I’m back in Austin

Food is all very fresh and tasty except the pita bread which is out of the bag. Their hummus is great, made with dried and soaked chickpeas, not canned. *This is not an Italian place but they do have pizza which is pretty good. *Everything is halal

Areggio Grill is a Mediterranean and Greek restaurant in central Austin. The atmosphere is interesting, it’s dark and somewhat mysterious feeling, and there is a floor seating area in the corner by the fireplace. Here you take off your shoes and sit on the floor instead of a table. They have a lot of standard dishes like euros, and the lemon chicken and rice soup, and a lot of Mediterranean style appetizers. The portions are decent, albeit not huge, and the food is filling.

We tried a few dishes and they were all good. The burgers made with gyro or shawarma were pretty good and so were the kabobs. The atmosphere is nice but very basic. Service also rather basic but friendly. #halal

Tasty Baklava Thought I'd give this Mediterranean a try. The restaurant isn't located in the most appealing location in town and the little strip mall is a bit sketchy, but once inside you get a cool Greek vibe. Low light and a cushioned floor seating area. Be advised you'll need to call ahead to sit in this area. The restaurant has a wide variety of foods, I had the mixed kabob plate, it was on par with what I've had at other Mediterranean restaurants, that said the tzatziki sauce was better than average. After dinner decided to give the baklava a try. They have 3 varieties, walnut, pistachio, and extra large pistachio. I went with the regular pistachio. I was unexpectedly surprised with the taste. It was just right, not overly sweet with good flavor. It was the highlight of the meal. Will have to go back and try the pizza and wings. I caught a glimpse of the pizza and it looked rather good.

Food was pretty good. My wife had the chicken shawarma, which was fine but basic and the presentation wasn’t great. I had the combination shawarma plate with chicken, lamb, tabbouleh, and hummus and that was much better. Overall, good but not spectacularly.

Not impressed on food quality, price per size, deserts, delivery. I am a 5* heavy reviewer, but I agree with Shaila's 1* review that I noticed in the reviews' chain. My friends and I got disappointed when the Large walnut baklava-s were minuscule, compared to the misleading advertisement of the website (they posted the large pistachio baklava photo but I could not see the walnut one photo). The bad surprise continued with the taste. I am European, the baklava-s I know, syrupy, rich is flavor, are not at Arpeggio. They are small, relatively dry, expensive, just walnut taste (my late aunt used to make real baklava with Mediterranean tradition). You can get better and cheaper baklava in most grocery stores. The other items, gyros, kebab were not impressive either. Delivery was pretty late compared to the 3 miles distance. It's not worth the time and money. I do not personally recommend this place. I gave 3* because at least they delivered the order.

I usually don’t leave a bad review but when everyone recommends this place to me, it makes me upset that this place doesn’t live up to expectations when I have places like Shawarma King and Peace Bakery close by. We ordered hummus, falafel, tabbouleh, shawarma and the gyro. Only the gyro was good. The hummus tasted like mashed chickpeas with water and salt. the falafel was undercooked on the inside. The tabbouleh barely had any bulgur in it and lacked mint and the seasonings you’d find anywhere else. These plates were $6 each. To end, the shawarma was a small amount of unseasoned and overcooked strips (not shavings) that you might find at a Mexican restaurant. Perhaps I ordered more on the middle-eastern side of things of the mediterranean spectrum. However, I ordered straight from the menu. I’m disappointed today but I genuinely want this place to succeed because it is local and if other local places can provide quality food then I’m sure this place can too! Please do better and I’ll come back!
