Ask for Francis! I've been coming to Casa Garcia's for years. We originally frequented the north Austin location 15 years ago, then when we moved to South, we were so happy to have one nearby again. This is probably our number 1 favorite Mexican restaurant. All of the wait staff is amazingly attentive and kind, but Francisca takes it to a whole new level. She tops off drinks before you can even ask, she offers tortillas and extra sides you might not have thought to ask for, and is one of the sweetest, most genuine people you will ever get to interact with.

Daniel is hands-down the best bartender at Casa Garcia’s. We always sit at the bar to eat, and he takes care of us like family — quick service, great attitude, and just a genuinely nice guy. Drinks are on point, food comes out fast, and he pays attention without ever being pushy. If you’re stopping in, grab a seat at the bar and ask for Daniel. He’s the reason we keep coming back.

We have been going to Casa Garcia since it first opened. Food is always great! Although all of the staff there is great, Francisca is our go to waitress, she always welcomes us with a smile and takes care of us making sure our orders come out right every time. We love her!

I absolutely enjoy all my visits I have at Casa Garcia. I love everybody here but the server that stands out the most to me is Nazario. He is a very funny, hardworking, and caring person. I come here a lot especially on the days I know that Nazario is working on. Casa Garcia gives me a homey feeling every time I come. Their food is delicious and is a place I would recommend to anybody.

She was very attentive, she constantly checked in to make sure we were good on chips, salsa, food and drinks! me and my family have been coming here for 21 years and I’m now turned 21 years old, here with my partner and will continue to come for as many years as this place stays open. Great Place to go to with family and friends! Great atmosphere! I have been to this Casa Garcia’s location so many times over the last 20 years! It’s my favorite restaurant! The food is great as well as the frozen margaritas which are the BEST in town! Prices are great! Their chicken and beef fajitas are awesome as well as their caldo, menudo, beef and cheese enchiladas, carne guisada, spinach enchiladas and their breakfast tacos! Their homemade tortillas are amazing! They have the best sweet tea! All of the staff are very pleasant and so friendly they make you feel like family! Their Managers, Brian and Kevin, the Host Jose who greets you, and the wait staff, especially Nazario are some of the best people I’ve ever met. You will not be disappointed!

Stopped by Casa Garcia’s (William Cannon) and had a really solid Tex-Mex dinner. The Menudo was rich and comforting, the Chicken Enchiladas Verde had bright, tangy flavor, and the Carne Asada Plate was well seasoned and juicy. Their chips & salsa bar is generous and a great way to start. The service was warm and no-nonsense, making the whole experience easy and relaxed. The place has a cozy, local feel — nothing pretentious, just good food and friendly vibes. Definitely a “go-to” for Mexican done right.

I had a lovely meal at Casa Garcia’s (William Cannon) — their Chile Con Queso and Casa G’s Botanitas were perfect starters (lots of variety in that platter!), and the Beef Fajita Burrito Plate was hearty and flavorful, with just the right balance of meat, beans, and sauce. The Barbacoa Tacos also stood out — tender, well-seasoned, and wrapped in soft tortillas. Service was warm and relaxed — staff checked in without hurrying us. The ambiance is casual and welcoming, great for a relaxed Tex-Mex dinner. I’ll definitely be back to try their green chicken enchiladas or enchiladas rancheras next time.

Our service was great as soon as we walked in everyone greeted us with so much kindness. The ambiance was nice a feeling of authenticity! We got menudo and the al pastor plate we enjoyed it but we didn’t love it. Would like to come with the family and try more on the menu.

As someone born and raised in San Antonio, I do not say this lightly. Real Mexican food is hard to come by once you leave, and Austin has been a constant struggle for me in that regard. Casa Garcias was a welcome surprise and absolutely delivered. I visited on a Saturday night and was shocked it was not packed, which worked in my favor. The service was attentive, friendly, and professional from the moment I sat down. I ordered the menudo and it arrived hot, flavorful, and done right, the kind that reminds you of home. Every bite was satisfying. My server was excellent and genuinely cared about the experience. The only downsides are the distance from where I live, but it easily beats driving back to San Antonio. And the price. As you all know our culture is all about stretching our dollar and that’s how we came up with many of these wonderful recipes. Unfortunately Casa Garcia’s has lost touch with that side of our culture and have fallen victim to the overcharging system. While we understand that prices are higher in Austin. It doesn’t validate prices being this high. I left with a $20+ bill just for a bowl of menudo. With that being said Casa Garcias is the real deal and worth the trip… if you can afford it.

The restaurant is a nice place. My family enjoyed their meals (flautas/tacos/enchiladas). I ordered the Chicken Caldo and it didn't contain any potatoes as listed on the menu. It also had 1 tiny little piece of cabbage, you can actually see it in the photo of the soup so that was disappointing. Service by our waiter was just okay. A separate random gentleman came by to get us more chips etc. So that was nice.

Ordered breakfast tacos to go and food was terrible! Stale tasting and likely reheated tortillas. Shame on you CG for thinking serving food of this quality is acceptable!

I came in to eat breakfast after my shut my door back. I had to eat something so I hadn't been here before and the food was good this time it was very disappointed.i order a small manudo and guevos rancheros with sgg the sgg was ice cold potatos and beans also the only thing that was worm was the eggs the tortillas were cold to do I told the waiter if he could bring me some fresh ones I think they just over heated them. Usually when you go to Mexican food it's quick. Not at casa Garcia's. Read the reviews, wonderful food and an absolutely terrible kitchen. We waited an HOUR for our food. The poor waitress had way too many tables. I love local restaurants, but this one is a pass. Just go to Flores

We called a hour ahead to make a reservation for a party of 15. The person on the phone said ok and asked how many adults and kids. They even said that they should be able to have the table ready by then. We arrive and we say we called ahead, they ignore that and ask our name and write it down. I asked why they are barley writing it down because we called ahead to hopefully have a table ready. He said, "well i didnt talk to you". I said we called ahead to avoid a longer than usual wait time and why would you take my name down and ask my party size if you didnt intend on having a table for us? Then the older gentleman said i dont know what to tell you. Then another younger more professional gentleman said that, we are sorry we dont do reservation of any sort. I said that wouldve been nice to know on the phone instead of wasting our time. This is very unprofessional and extremely bad customer service. I will definitely not be ever returning to any Casa Garcias ever agian. And so the other adults in my group agree. You lost many customers due to this terrible customer service. Do better

DO NOT EAT HERE. THERE ARE BETTER PLACES. We’ve eaten at this restaurant several times before and always had decent experiences, but this visit was absolutely awful from start to finish. A waitress took our drink order, and then another waitress came and took our drink order again, it was really confusing and disorganized. My wife, daughter, and I came in for dinner. I ordered the fajita burrito, my wife got the Casa G’s beef enchilada plate, and my daughter ordered the seafood plate. Service was lackluster the entire time and not once were we offered refills on our drinks. My daughter had to ask just to get a second one. The real problem, though, was the seafood. My daughter is not someone who wastes food, she finished nearly all of her plate except the fries, then said, “The fish is making me feel weird.” My wife and I both tasted it, and it was disgusting. It didn’t taste spoiled exactly, but it was definitely off. Before we even made it home, we had to pull over because she started throwing up. We paid nearly $100 for three plates, one of which made my kid sick, and the other two were nothing special. We tried calling to report it, but no one answered. After years of dining here, this was a huge disappointment and honestly pretty alarming. If this is the level of quality and care now, we won’t be back.
