Opinions de Feng Cha Austin
I was on lunch and went to Whichwich when I noticed Feng Cha. I’m really glad I stopped in. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is very clean, refreshing, and minimalistic. I got an iced coffee to go and received the cutest reusable to-go cup! I meant to take a photo of my cup full, but it was so good that I forgot. The delicious coffee kept me going for the remainder of my day. Thank you, Feng Cha!
I just want to say that Oliver and all the staff here are excellent. I have been coming to Feng Cha weekly for the last 3 years and appreciate their care for customers. Oliver always makes sure that I am happy with my drink before I leave. He is a jack of all trades, sometimes there alone and making 4-5 drinks at once. Thank you!
Loved the place, went at 9 pm so it was chill and peaceful, the place is a bit small but that's about it, loved the plastics cups they serve their special drinks, loved the prices too, the flavor is good (just make sure to mix your drink) and you can customize it as much as you would like it.
They recently changed over/are in the process of changing over from Tea Haus and I am in love with their new menu. They're offering drip coffee still, and have expanded their tea menu. Their milk foam drinks are smooth and luscious. I've had matcha milk foam with oolong tea both times because I loved it so much. They're also offering reusable cups that should receive a discount if you come in with it. I highly recommend stopping by!!
Since I grew up in China, I know how authentic boba tea tastes. This is my must go weekly boba tea place. Their tea and milk foam taste the best in town. I love their sweetness level as well. I strongly recommend their green milktea and oolong milktea. Without boba actually tastes better!
Thank you for using real ingredients and having 0% sweetness options! My go to’s are matcha latte with taro milk foam and coffee milk tea. Everything else I tried was delicious. Try the cakes! So moist and fluffy and a tad sweet, so good! Thank you for offering food delivery services as well 🙌🏽
I got the Taro milk tea with boba and sago. Its sooo good. My first time ordering from here and definitely ordering again
It was my first time Trying out Feng Cha, and I’m impressed. I was overwhelmed and didn’t know what do order, Jonathan was able to point me in the right direction. I ordered: Dirty Boba, Mango Breeze and Strawberry Overload. My toddlers were obsessed with the mango breeze. To the point where he wanted to save the drink before himself while sliding off the hood of the car 🤣 I’m all about the dirty boba. Strawberry 🍓 overload, it was aight. I’ll have to try it again since I was too full. 🥰 Will I come back? Again and again.
A very delicious bova spot that stands out from the rest. A great place to study or grab a quick drink. Been here a lot over the years and it's consistently amazing!
I ordered a lot from delivery apps before and today is my first time actually at storefront. Special and must try for Fengcha is: Matcha tea cake 🍰 luxurious amount foams, bathing the cake in the matcha cloud. Dirty boba 🧋 is good too, I like how roasted flavor clouded my mouth. Area to improve: - packaging. For hot drink, and matcha tea cake. Easily got spilled and leaking. - shake sugar evenly Sometimes sugar is at the bottom of cup, ruin the experience. Storefront is not busy, I didn’t know they are even here and I was in the middle of a dental visit. Lol. More shall know this place, support and keep the good tea flavor in Austin!
Love their Mango Majestic with popping boba. And Strawberry milk foam cake🎊.
It's a popular boba chain, and so far, best boba in Austin. Although, I always get the Dirty Boba, so can't comment on the other flavors. I suggest getting full sugar (Regular Sweet) as it's already the perfect amount of sugar and any less wouldn't taste right, at least not to me. The desserts are really good too. I especially like the Matcha Love. The Tiramisu Treasure....ugh.... not so much. My only gripe is that not all of the drinks have sealed tops, and this makes it hard to mix everything together.
❤️Feng Cha❤️ is my absolute favorite bubble tea/fancy tea cafe in Austin (and I’ve tried them all)! Their tea is the freshest and tastiest and most of the time the servers are super helpful and knowledgeable about the tea (which I see as a bonus and NOT an expectation given service industry pay rates). The best part for me is that you can truly get no sugar added delicious tea and then add milk or milk foam options if you want more creaminess or sweetness. It’s very high quality and not from powder like other places. AND the cups are reusable and they have a paper straw option! 😍 Plus, they have a lovely cafe you can sit in and chill, work, or chat while you enjoy your tea. I can’t believe how much I love this place. Just thinking of it makes me smile.
I got the Milk Green Tea which wasn't too sweet aka DELICIOUS! I'm very picky with bubble tea(I do not enjoy most of the locations in Austin). The bubbles(boba) are a good texture(tastes fresh). The only bubble tea place I know that has paper straws! I hear that if you bring back the cup you get a discount which I'm excited to find out next time :) It's a very cute place and the location has lots of available parking! Great place to bring your laptop and work/study. I tried the taro dessert which was delicious but not something I'd crave again. Curious to try their other ones.
Feng cha is my favorite for boba. I love their sea salt foam. I just tried the dirty Boba and it’s amazing. Did the 75% sweetness as other reviews said and it’s perfect. The cream on top is so good too. The best part is these cups are super durable so I honestly wash and reuse them at home for my own summery drink mixes. After several uses I throw them out but they are really great to reuse. I really hope their inside seating opens up because it looks nice to sit down in there
Very good tea flavor stands above many boba shops. Black milk tea was excellent. Staff very courteous. just a note the business does not accept cash (except for tips!). Great place to stop and cool off...right next to Walmart.
While It's hard to make bad bubble tea, and there are many great bubble tea places in Austin, this one gets my number 1 spot for bubble tea award. The interior is quite cozy and the serving size is perfectly generous. They serve food here, but I dont usually try out the food at tea houses.
The newly opened Feng Cha has not put a sign outside, make it hard to find. It’s between the PhoNatic and New Sound Hearing Aid. Right at where Tea Haus used to be. They have a small outdoor seating, 2 tables with 4 chairs. The interior design is pretty nice. Good for friends get together. I have tried the Dirty Boba, and the Mango Au Lait, both are pretty good, I asked to add cheese topping, so both are very milky and creamy. You can also adjust the sweetness level for your drink. They also have some cakes. Recommend Strawberry Princess and Sea Salt Pearl.
Love the flavors at Feng Cha Loved the matcha tea, Thai tea, and dirty boba The popping boba is super yummy too Best boba Iv come across in ATX The restaurant smelt a little bad though.
Excuse the half way thru drinks. Matcha latte was made to my liking. Zero sugar so it allows me to actually enjoy the rich matcha flavor.

I'm personally a Thai tea lover and enjoy trying the different spots to see how it compares. Was close by this plaza and decided to pop in. This is definitely a top spot and I will be coming back in the future. Smooth, sweet, and creamy. Small spot with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

I got a coconut latte with the matcha love cake, it was really great, i always come back for it! Oliver was super sweet and accommodating as well, he helped me and took my order while the kiosk was down. His customer service was great and he was very friendly! Will come back! :))

Love love love feng cha, but this location is a little hit or miss. Sometimes the milk doesn’t taste as fresh or they skimp on the add-ins, which can be disappointing when you pay so much extra for them. They are also a tad slow at this location, maybe they’re just super busy, but it always takes longer than expected to get drinks here. Despite all of this, they still offer some of the best tea options in ATX. A personal favorite is the Thai Tea with no sugar added and sago!
Really kind workers. They enforce masks and no dining in which I really appreciated. Very responsible company. I got the Taro Milk Tea doe $4, the pearls cost an extra 50p. I messed it they ask how much sugar and ice I wanted. I said less Ice and I regretted it. It really is best enjoyed cold.
Came here about a month a go near closing and ordered one of the drinks (don’t remember the flavor) with boba, but the boba tasted old. Decided to give it another try today (5/3) and ordered the Oreo Cheese Foam Milk Tea with boba and it was very good. Cousin ordered the Summer Melon Green Tea and it’s just okay.
Decent boba tea place. Menu has a good variety of choices. I like the sugar n ice option as boba can get overly sweet - so this is a good control on both! Try the cheese foam on your drink, it’s a different texture with your regular boba drink! Price - $(it’s somewhere between $ &$$) They have no different sizes of drink, atleast I was not asked a size, which is okay too for the price. Clean & well maintained.
Great place to grab and go some tea or refreshing drinks. Flavors are amazing. Ambiance is quite soothing on the inside and orders are delivered promptly. Few places are available to sit inside. Desserts are decadent. Prices are reasonable.
I have visited Feng Cha on 2 occasions on a weekday afternoon and a weekday evening. The evening time was definitely busy with a full house at one point. This location only offers the large size (one size). I tried the Overflowing Grapefruit 75% sugar - absolutely delicious. It does have a hint of the yogurt drink in it. I also tried the Dirty Boba 75% sugar - oh my, that was waaaay too sweet. I just couldn’t finish, wish they had the smaller size option. But I kept it and poured a whole cup of coffee in it and made it an iced coffee drink and finally it was at a good sweetness and it indeed was good. Staff was nice.

I got the black milk tea with 75% sugar and less ice. I thought the tea was slightly bitter. The tapioca pearls were soft and chewy, but mostly flavorless. I prefer boba that’s slightly sweet. The worst part was that halfway through I started feeling nauseous and sick to my stomach from the boba. But nausea aside, their black milk tea is very unimpressive.
The Service is spotty here. You either get amazing friendly service or you get the servers that don’t care that you are their patrons. Today, I encountered that. The person taking my order was extremely friendly. Very professional and even helped me scan for rewards. The person giving me the order didn’t acknowledge me over her headphones, didn’t even call my name out for the order, and when I asked for a drink carrier, you would’ve thought I asked for the biggest hassle ever. She looked at me like I was an alien. Horrible server. ———————————- Chill place to get boba. I think the menu is too big and confusing. The good news is they have an app where you can order online and get points for free bobas. So, I did this instead because the app has more descriptions than the store. Pickup was ready in 5-10 minutes too! My kids always get the dirty boba which is milk and brown sugar and milk foam and boba. I tried the strawberry overload with lychee jelly and boba. Both were great. They only come in 1 size so for me, it was really big. I wished they had a smaller cup size.
It’s over hyped honestly. Was so excited to come here but wow… the “dirty boba” (brown sugar) was good and the tapioca was soft! However, got a peach oolong tea with no sugar and it looks exactly like they served it, permade from a container full of ice… taste like the peach settled at the bottom on the jug and all you get is bitter tea watery flavor. Peach flavoring should be added when the drink is ordered to avoid this. The drinks that were made when ordered were good. The ones premixed sucked…

This particular location is TERRIBLE. Pick any other location (there are several in Austin) and you will be better off. This store is wildly inconsistent. - boba pearls sometimes too soft - pieces of hair in my bubble tea - ADDED TOO MUCH TEA. I couldn’t sleep all night despite drinking it at 5pm. I usually drink boba late at night but only this location really causes issues - taste is not consistent with other locations - gloomy/dark atmosphere
I'm a big Thai tea lover, but this was just not it. Tea tasted burnt, totally overpowered anything else in the drink. There are a million other boba shops in Austin that I've never had a bad batch at, so don't think I'll be coming back here.
I love Feng Cha, they have become my favorite tea house. Unfortunately this particular location disappoints. I walked in to pick up my order, the employee glanced over and did not greet or acknowledge me. I quickly realized that he had an airpod in and was on the phone with someone having a full on conversation. Him being so distracted caused him to incorrectly fulfill my entire order.
The place feels like a public restroom, it is dark and gloomy and awkwardly decorated. The service was lacking, they were rude and impersonal. Most importantly to me, the drink was really poorly made. The boba was way too chewy meaning it’s old, and the strawberry overload had a thick purée at the bottom which was gross. The place was not busy, it was empty, so the service and the terrible drink cannot really be excused.
I've been coming here for some time now, but I don't believe the people who work there have made the exact Boba teas that are on their menu. I asked for the "Milk Foam Tea" and it's usually yellow 💛 with the foam on top, and they KNOW exactly how to make it. However, the person at the counter asked what kind of tea and I was confused because they know how to make their "signature" Boba teas already. So I took a guess and asked for jasmine tea with the milk foam on top, with 50% sweetness. By the time it came out, it was literally milk foam sitting on top of jasmine tea. I tasted it and it tasted nothing like the milk foam tea. I then requested for a substitute and asked for the "Dirty Boba." This one was literally all milk and boba, 0 sweetness and barely (what I assume to be caramel). My friend also ordered and they gave her all pure black tea with "grass shape" jelly. She ordered 4 seasons. I think there should be more training...I would not recommend this Feng Cha. Go to Feng Cha on Clayton Ln.
i’ve been here so many times but this time was honestly so bad. they had roaches in the bathroom, like two of them. and the drink order charged me twice but still said unable. and the guy taking my order was super disrespectful. he kept asking the same thing over and over even though we already said our order was earl grey milk tea less ice 25% sugar with boba but he still kept asking me again and again. my friend doesn’t speak english so i ordered for her. i said everything super clearly but he kept ignoring me and asking her instead, and she got confused because she doesn’t rlly speak english
