This is my personal favorite for Mexican food in Austin. Great service, excellent food and overall good vibe. Sit on the patio during the two good weather weeks in Austin. I love their soups and frozen margs. I have never had a bad time here.
Outstanding service taking care of our very large group. The fajitas were tasty served family style. Queso is rich and creamy and the salsa has a nice kick to it. The deserts are also worth leaving room to enjoy. Very friendly atmosphere. We look forward to a return visit when in Austin again.
Very good! Parking can be tricky, but that's because it can get very busy - which is always a good sign. Portions are plentiful, everything we had was flavorful, and the staff was incredibly responsive for how many tables each of them was serving. There is plenty of space inside and out, so the place is good for large groups or just for two. A+, I'll be back for sure.
We had my husband's Christmas party here. There were over 120 rsvp, and like 80 showed. Sorry, La Mancha! Having been to my fair share of company parties, I did not have high expectations. Usually, large parties don't get a good quality of food or service. My last manager party was around 30 people, and it was awful, pretty much inedible food! That party was not here! I would rather drive through somewhere than do a large party anymore based on the last few parties I've been to at other restaurants. So imagine my surprise when La Mancha was great! We were all seated comfortably. Even if everyone showed up, they still had the normal expectation of space in a restaurant. There was a small 2-sided buffet in the adjoining room which was well maintained and the food was really good!! There was chicken, beef, and they also had a vegetarian option of portobello mushrooms, which were yummy as well, vegetarian or not. They kept the sour cream, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and all the extras stocked. They didn't wait until people were scraping remnants before restocking either. They provided tres leches cake, which I did not try but heard good reviews. They also gave us a big enough dessert table for the desserts the company brought. My only feedback is that there weren't enough serving utensils on the dessert table. It's not a big deal and my only critique. The staff was polite and available. It was no issue getting a straw or napkins or a to-go box. Staff were pre-bussing dirty plates, which was appreciated. Even while people were starting to leave and the tables were getting cleaned up, the staff were nice and personable. Unfortunately, I was too caught up in the party to take pictures. Everyone seemed to have a good time and left nice and full. It's my first time here, and they left a great impression. Highly recommend them based on this experience. We are impressed! Thanks to La Mancha and the wait staff for taking such good care of us. And to the cooks for the delicious food! Yum!
Love the neighborhood feel of the restaurant (my family and our neighbors eat there frequently). Service is always attentive, friendly and personable, recognizing repeat guests. The menu is diverse, service is prompt and I've never been disappointed. Menu prices are very reasonable and the margaritas are delicious. Definitely a family-friendly place (there's even a small play area out front). They do get busy at times creating a wait - depending on how many little ones you might have brought, I would say it's worth it.
Five-star review seems inadequate for this delightful place. I've been going here for seven years and they always deliver not only on food, but service, atmosphere and value for money. We normally get the fajitas for one and get extra tortillas and we are stuffed. The chips and salsa are free with as many refills as your heart contends, accompanied with some kickass Mexican Martinis and you're in heaven. Have family or friends visiting town? Or want an affordable evening with drinks and food, or even somewhere to take the kids...this is the place. Cannot recommend this place enough, we love it!
I had never been there before and went with close friends and family. The atmosphere was great, the staff was awesome and friendly. The food was amazing!!! Drinks could have been a little stronger but overall i would definitely go back. Im from Miami and I haven't been many places here in Austin that has tickled my taste buds like La Mancha. Keep up the amazing work guys!!!!
I have to say that I am very "Picky" when it comes to food. Being a cook myself with a somewhat broad spectrum heritages that fuels my taste one can possibly see why I can be just a wee bit picky. So, my Swedish, Irish/'Scotch, Mexican blood just screams at me sometimes. So when my family and I came across this place we had to try it out. I have to say we were pleasantly surprised once there. The service was spot on! Friendly, attentive and knew the service menu precisely and answered our questions promptly. The food we ordered came out in an appropriate time even with a full house. The food was delicious! None of us at our table could find any fault with what was served to us. We have been back on more than a few occasions now, and it is just like it was our first. Great job guys. Keep up the awesome work!
We were on the run tonight so didn't get to have a dine in experience, but it looks great in there. The food was delicious! Thanks for keeping us on the move with tasty food in our bellies, La Mancha!
Great service and very tasty Tex-mex. Got the barbacoa enchiladas which were quite delicious. The pickled onions on the side are an incredible pairing that I’d never had at a restaurant before coming here. Also their chips are the BEST kind of chips for chips and salsa!
Super fast service!!! I was impressed . I had ceviche and it was okay. Definitely lacked flavor. Everything else was great. Super cute place
Loved my 1st time at La Mancha. The hot sauce and chips were very good which is a deal maker/breaker for me. Salsa actually has some heat unlike so many places these days. Drinks and food were great. Atmosphere was lively and fun. Definitely get something with the ceviche and beef fajita meat. Outstanding!
We went to La Mancha for my Dad's birthday. The food, atmosphere, and service were all great. I had the barbacoa tacos and they were not your every day tacos. Delicious!
I went to the library across the street for a yoga class, saw it and was like hmmm… I’m gonna try it. Glad I did! Sat at the bar and the bartender was super cool. Great salsa and guacamole! The soup I got was soooo tasty! Definitely will be going back!
We love LaMancha! It’s a good neighborhood location and the staff has always been great whenever we have ordered. The food is solid and the portion sizes are good. The chips & salsa they give table side are always amazing.
La Mancha recently catered my wedding party and they did a wonderful job! All of my guests LOVED the food! JC was great to work with and his staff members were so kind. I highly recommend La Mancha!!
I had such an amazing experience dining here. My server olivia was phenomenal and I could not reccomend her more! Will be coming back here!
Was visiting Austin and found this little place by accident. Was quiet when we arrived, they seated us right away and provided perfect service. We sat for almost 3 hours enjoying the upbeat atmosphere and even when they got much busier they never pressured us to order more or leave. Prices were incredibly good and the food was spectacular. Highly recommend!
A great place to meet friend or family for a meet up. Drinks and food are delicious!
I've grown to love this place. The staff are friendly and I'm obsessed with their charro beans. A lot of the food is very similar with different combos of sides, but taste good. The kids menu is good for picky eaters, too. I usually try their special cocktail/marg they have going on when we visit and I'm never disappointed.
Genevieve was amazing! - Came here after a horrible service experience at Curra’s - She was super engaging, gave us her recs, drinks and food was delicious; wifey and I will definitely be back
Absolutely love the TexMex food! Very well served plates. Good variety! Ceviche is a must & love the Truck Stop Enchiladas. Great place for family & kids. Good customer service!
Great experience. All of our food was delicious. We particularly enjoyed the beef fajita tacos. The chips have that light, airy feel that I crave, but that seems hard to find. Solid frozen margarita, and very large and tasty Mexican Martini; both are recommend. Went here several times before bothering to review, but it has been good every time.
Myself and three friends came to eat here on vacation. We split the sampler and enjoyed it all and we all enjoyed our meals! The food came out quickly and the service was great! Would highly recommend! (Plus it you go on Wednesday the top shelf margaritas are $6.50 instead of the usual $9.50!)
We have been looking for a good Mexican restaurant in Austin for the past two years. Coming from Houston, where Mexican food is staple, we were at the point of giving up. You can't find the good taco in Austin to save your life. That is until tonight. Milton was our server and he was excellent. The fish tacos and the ceviche were amazing. I can't believe we didn't find this place sooner. Keep doing what you're doing!
Amazing Tex Mex! The chips alone are worth going. They’re spectacular. The queso, margaritas, quesadillas, and tacos are awesome. Definitely visit!
Great place to grab a good Mexican lunch or dinner. Food plentiful and delicious. Atmosphere was very festive, place is large with indoor and outdoor seating. Fajitas, tacos and chips are yummy!!
Food was excellent, Joey was our waiter and he went above and beyond his call for service that evening, when my Dad forgot he was dairy free, only 72 years later my dude, but we all make mistakes. Joey was on top of it. He checked in with us and had a great sense of humor and good recommendations. The Queso Blanco and the Don Q were super bomb. As a spoiled California Mexican food consumer, this spot is legit for some authentic Tex-Mex
First of all the photos of the old mexican movie posters were great! The food was amazing. Salsa was good. Not the over powering cilantro taste of most Mexican places. But the pickled jalapenos/onions were not appealing. If they were chopped up maybe. Our server, Carey Ann, was very personable, cheerful and attentive. This was out first time here by we will be back.
I’ve been coming down to Austin (from DFW) for weekend getaways for years. I don’t know how I’ve managed to sleep on La Mancha, but I tell you what, I’m AWAKE now! The service was phenomenal (huge shout out to Genevieve who was prompt, friendly and very welcoming) and the food was fan-damn-tastic. And the margs…okurrrr! The manager was even walking around the dining room checking on guests and also offering complimentary samples of their new experimental shot or margarita. Whatever it was it was delicious. My husband and I were beyond impressed and will always make a point to visit La Mancha when we get a weekend away down here. Thank you for such a fabulous dining experience! ❤️(Btw, the desserts…YUMMM!!!!)
had a party of 8-9 and were seated in less than 5 mins. once seated the manager saw we had kids and offered to get them ice cream after dinner. We sang happy birthday to my nephew and they came outside to offer plates and things and then took all the kids inside for ice cream. Everyone was soooo nice the service and atmosphere were a 10/10!! We had the best time and will for sure be back!
We meet here almost every Thursday for the Mexican Martini special. We also have a few favorites that we order every time. The must have list includes shrimp Diablos, pulled pork street tacos, stuffed jalapeños and the avocado sauce to top everything. The queso was mauled as soon as it hit the table.
Food was excellent! The patio was wonderful - great space and we lucked out on some good weather in September! The service was also above par. Everyone was very nice and friendly. There were 6 of us (3 are kids, 7 and under), and everyone enjoyed their food. Bonus for us was the owner and his sister asked if they could take the kids to get some ice cream inside - was icing on the cake for the experience! All around a gem!!! Absolutely will be back!
The Mexican Martina is a great libation to start. I had grilled fish tacos, they were perfection. The crispy chips here are decadent and the salsa is perfectly spicy! Huge portions!!
Nachos at La Mancha today. The folks at La Mancha understand the concept of the Texas nacho is that each chip is unique, distinct. These glorious nachos featured refrieds, cheese, and beef fajitas. In addition, they’re garnished with a spectacular pickled onion salad. I don’t exaggerate when I say these may be the best nachos I’ve ever had.
Very friendly staff, fabulous food, and large portions! We will be back!
The food is amazing. The atmoshere is so friendly. Everyone thst works there are very pleasant. The bartenders make the best drinks. I love tjis place.
We have been coming here for the past 5 years and absolutely love it! La Mancha has the best service, friendliest staff and delicious food. We hardly ever have a wait and are in and out. Our kid loves it too!! Highly recommend!
Excellent meals and drinks. Nice waiter. Great atmosphere! We really enjoyed the place. The chips were delicious by the way! Only issue was the cold salsa on a cold night. I wished it had been a little warmer. Other than that, we enjoyed dinner there and will go back again.
Had our company Xmas party here food was great wait staff was amazing (sorry can't remember their names) Overall great place and will be back very soon!! P.s. I'd like to apologize for holding up the staff from going home. We were in a very jolly mood and should've paid better attention. Our bad!!
Great margaritas 🍹 😋 The tavern tacos were so tiny 😩 😫 But pretty delicious. Ordered the special habanero salsa...... and be careful its so good but slaps ( gets spicy). The Mexican Coke to go with the tacos = boom! Service was great and everyone was super nice. Definitely recommend and will be going back. 👌
We came here after a disappointing experience at Curra’s—and we’re so glad we did! Genevieve took care of us and was incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful while we looked over the menu. Her great service truly turned our night around. The portions here are generous, and the food came out quickly. I had the grilled fish tacos, which were fresh and flavorful, and my husband ordered El Número Dos combo—he loved it. The Mexican martini was a highlight: strong, full of olives, and only $6 on Thursdays. It even comes with the shaker, so you’re definitely getting your money’s worth! Great food, great drinks, and excellent service—we’re already looking forward to coming back. Ambiance is very casual here. There’s a free parking lot on-site, and if it’s full, there’s more free parking just down the block.
My daughter and I were in the mood for some Tex Mex and I remembered driving past this restaurant when we had gone to Shoal Creek Nursery a few weeks back. The structure is completely one of a kind! Our server Brian was welcoming and made my drink selection for me. The food was delicious and fresh 😌 I definitely have to get back as soon as possible 🥰
Great patio area + big area indoors too + atmosphere + enough tvs to watch the games. It’s great Tex-Mex at reasonable prices and excellent service. The place was busy on a Thursday night but even so our table of 5 was seated right away, warm chips & salsa with water arrived immediately after 💖
This little Mexican food joint boasts incredible Mexican martinis and legit Tex-Mex food. The atmosphere is fun. They have a great big patio that is dog-friendly. The staff is nice and courteous. Sometimes there is a short wait. But you usually don’t have to wait long at all. This is a great neighborhood haunt for those who live nearby. Full of locals. Kid-friendly as well. Nice little restaurant. Give it a try
We were just completing a hike through Walnut Creek Park and we’re really hungry and really thirsty and felt that this place would solve our problems with a visit. Boy am I glad we came for some Tex-Mex and margaritas. The portion sizes are generous to say the least. My green chili pork burrito was so big I couldn’t complete it and that’s unusual cause I’m a big eater. The chorizo jalapeño poppers were fantastic and the top shelf. Margaritas were, well, top shelf, highly recommend this place we will definitely be back, the patio was very pleasant today during our visit and it was apparently very pet friendly.
Come for the Margaritas they have spicy ones, mezcal, sweet, fruity ones. They are good size and taste good. We have the Mexican street corn...not at all Mexican street corn but still was good. The queso is large and delicious. Really good puffy chips and tasty salsa. Come for happy hour take some food home for the win. Kiss the one you love, and they might just kiss you back, mine did. Love you🖤🖤
This is a large restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating and party rooms. I attended a dinner for 40, and they easily accommodated us. The atmosphere is fun, festive and creative. One wall was an artistic display of doors, and others had more typical paintings. The food was delicious. LA Mancha goes above and beyond to plate their food beautifully and give it a good presentation. The queso was more than just cheese--it included a layer of chili at the bottom and was garnished with avocado slices and herbs. We had fajitas, and the well-seasoned, tender meat and perfectly cooked vegetables were delicious. I like the onions to be thoroughly cooked and not just heated, and these were perfect. The desserts were gorgeous, with whipped cream, strawberries, and drizzled strawberry syrup. The tres leches cake is some of the best I have ever had. The cake had just the right grainy but fluffy texture with a not-too-sweet whipped icing. The servers were friendly and helpful. A very enjoyable experience.
Wow this place might initially seem like a tourist trap, it is anything but that. The food has a stunning amount of flavor and the portion size is quite generous. On that same thought, the mexican martini is more than just the initial glass. They give you the whole shaker. Not to mention the martini is only 5 dollars on special. My personal recommendation I'd the Don Quixote combo plate.
Always a great weeknight dinner option, especially after a challenging day where a margarita might be just what you need! Great staff, always friendly and helpful.

Great food great service and great atmosphere. Locals adore it here and the staff is so friendly. The margaritas spicy frozen are the bomb. I love the tacos and black beans. The soapapillas are kille…
All food we got from queso to tacos was delicious and we had such a good time in the environment. I recommend the pastor tacos !

I can't believe I have never been here before! The food was delicious!! Couldn't get enough of their chips and salsa and everyone's food smelled and tasted fresh, well seasoned, and super flavorful. We were stuffed and took the rest of our food home for a whole other meal (family of four) their kids menu had fun options too that I want to try one when I return. Pricing was a tinsy but high I thought but the portions are great so kind of makes up for it.
Very good Mexican food. First timers and walked away happy. Only small complaint was the order of flour tortillas that were very firm and “chewy”, if thats a good description..?? The house happy hour margarita was just okay, as many places are. All in all, very satisfied.
Average Tex Mex food, great and fast service, welcoming atmosphere. Solid quantity, below average quality. The queso was the worst I've ever had. Huge regrets on the queso. Please avoid the queso. Glue might have more flavor. The chicken fajitas were pretty bland but overall average. Don't get the queso.
Our first visit here tonight. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday. The hostess is awesome at her job! Immediately I felt welcomed. Our waiter was courteous, professional and considerate. I had been planning to eat here for some time. I was not disappointed. I will recommend LaMancha to my friends. I can’t wait to come back and try the fajitas.
Our server was welcoming without being smarmy or insincere and wasn't afraid to give us solid recommendations. The food isn't trying to reinvent the wheel, its just amazing Tex-Mex. Everything down to the chips is made in-house and you can taste it. Highly recommend. The only reason it's not 5 stars is the price.
La Mancha has a good atmosphere. I went on a Tuesday due to the all-day happy hour. Love the trendy decor and the friendly service. House margaritas were 3$ at happy hour. It was good for 3 bucks. Tried at fajitas and I liked them a lot. However, I have found it is hard to mess up fajitas. The salsa is excellent if you like it hot. My dad didn't like his burrito, I tried it and the mole was sweet. We had a great waitress who was friendly despite how busy it was. Loved the energy of he place. Will return for happy hour, drinks are too expensive otherwise.
Atmosphere: Festive Casual Tex Mex Service: Quick and attentive Food: Street corn is delicious, roasted and cut right off the cob. Chips and salsa are perfect, crispy light chips and red salsa with some kick. Carnitas tacos and barbacoa tacos are fresh with good flavor, just a bit on the dry side. Pricing: Tacos $12.00, Corn $3.99.
Stopped here for lunch with a co-worker. Service and food was amazing. They are always packed and rightfully so. I ordered the beef fajita burrito....for lunch. What was I thinking?! It is massive and smothered in the sauce of your choice. If you on any type of low carb diet or lifestyle, STAY AWAY FROM THE CHIPS. They are addicting! It's probably best if you turn them down.
Ample parking, good food, decent drinks earned La Mancha repeat visits from me! The chalupas are good, but I won't order the nachos again. A dining companion had chicken fajitas, and it arrived with a big pile of grilled white chicken along with all the fajitas fixings (guac, sour cream, pico, tortillas, etc). Yum! Lively dining room, and the bar has multiple screens for watching sports.
Great setting and good amount of parking, lots of TVs. Food is ok, but doesn't feel special; used to be good but over the years I feel it's declined a bit. Chips taste like cheap bag type, but you get unlimited, you get what you pay for I guess. Drinks are the worst offenders, very expensive and are just premix with barely any alcohol, if I am paying that much for a margarita or Mexican martini, I hope someone makes it rather than pours a mix and add a shot of tequila; imagine ordering a martini and getting 90% vermouth, that's the jist of it. Service is generally very good.
I had the nacho salad, and it was tasty. My buddy had fajitas, and they looked great! I like that they have a good selection of seafood, including snapper. No drinks this time, but I know people who like their happy hour. Festive vibes!

The vibe is as advertised - unpretentious and comfortable. A nice cozy neighborhood restaurant to grab a pint and a bite to eat. The server was attentive and kept checking in. The meat in the al pastor tacos was a bit on the tough side of the equation. I didn't have anything else, but I'm sure there might be food options here that the kitchen excels at. Definitely worth a try.
First time eating here, based on others opinions I felt I would give it a try. Location and layout is groovy, the patio is spacious and dog friendly which is great. Chips and salsa is plentiful, salsa is very fresh and the chips are tasty yet very fragile. Menu is decently sized, not overloaded with options... I had the fajita chicken burrito and it was very large and well prepared but a bit bland. As far as drinks go, I had the premiere margarita and it was tasty, but it was on the small side and felt as if it was minimal alcohol. I would give them a second chance if I am in the area again, and see if this experience was a "one off".
Beans and rice are amazing! The fish fajitas were dry, but perhaps it was because we had a large party. Salsa and chips were also good, but they were not delish which is found throughout Texas. The servers appeared to mostly not enjoy their job. Overall a good place for a specific desire.
Unfortunately the only tasty dish was the chips salsa and queso. Two of us ordered the relleno (beef and other cheese) not much flavor and presentation- how do I say, just colorless. All brown and not endearing to many other rellenos I’ve had in town that were delicious. 5 adults and 4 kids - not sure about kids as a basic burger. One of the adults ordered the shrimp bowl and left immediately after complaining of stomach issues. 😳 my friends asked for the mango salsa on side (a mini condiment cup) totaling $2.25?! And a mini sour cream for $2! Waitress did not mention the additional cost The service = no bueno- extremely slow. Ran out of chips after first round… you know they go fast the first basket. Then nada til much later. The frozen sangria tasty. I can’t speak to brunch menu, but we’ll pass on this place for dinner going forward. The atmosphere in restaurant very nicely decorated - a “fun” vibe. I’d consider here for cocktails and chips/salsa at their bar seating area. That’s it tho. Disappointed!
I was looking for a happy hour after leaving another restaurant and made a last minute decision to try La Mancha. Their happy hour is either a house margarita or Mexican martini and that's it. The batch of margaritas I ordered was very weak so I decided on the martini which was better. The food was good so I can give them that. Great outdoor seating, if nothing else.
The quesadilla was hot and good, the Mancha Bowl was luke warm but still tasty, the Caldo de pollo was ice cold and the vegetables in the soup where not cooked, the flautas where over cooked. The Manager came over and agreed to all faults and took the soup and flautas off the bill. The waitress was snotty and full of herself and copped attitude when we had questions about the menu.
We have been coming for years, usually because we can't think of where else to go for a marg that's close by. Today we got the Sierra Sampler and a couple of margs. Food was pretty good, margaritas were ok. BUT! Beware ordering the sangria margarita, because although it is listed with all the other frozen margaritas, which are part of happy hour, it is not. So instead of being $6, it's $12.50. There are no prices on the drink menu, and nowhere does it say that the Sangria Margarita is double the price of the other three it is listed with. For a splash of red wine? I think this is terrible and we won't be back..its misrepresentation at best and shady, underhanded business practice for sure. Too bad La Mancha. You'll never trick us again I will be spreading the news.
I really liked the ambiance of the restaurant. It was very festive . I went with a group of 8 and I must say the service was fairly quick and the prices were reasonable. The waitress was friendly. For myself I paid roughly $26 before tip. The only misstep was my street corn which was delivered to the wrong end of the table and never made it to me. However, once I explained it to waitress she brought another order to go for me. Below is a review of the other items ordered. Mexican Martini - it was ok but had too much ice in it for me which made the drink too watery. Tavern tacos with tiki chicken - 4 small tacos with shredded chicken which was pretty good. Queso with ground beef - it was good paired with the flaky nacho chips Giving it a 3 based on overall experience. If I am ever in the area I would go again.
While the chalupas are tasty, the cheese enchiladas were "meh." That is, they were missing the "made with love by your Abuela" that I've come to expect. Life's too short for meh enchiladas. The chips and salsa were good; rice was bad with way too much cumin.
The water was great! We also really enjoyed their chips and salsa. Unfortunately, the nachos we got seemed like they had been sitting for 30 minutes. I got the tamales. I was so disappointed that it brought me to review when I haven't in a long time. It was all masa! There was hardly any filling at all. I took a pic to try and show but it isn't the best.

Only 2 stars bc of way overpriced, weak drinks. $15 for an all lime mix 'margarita' that came out in a tiny 6oz glass packed w/ ice cubes. Tried a different margarita that was in a larger glass, still packed w/ ice cubes, and so weak that it was almost clear. Wish I had just ordered a beer. My meal was the chili relleno w/ chicken tinga stuffing - it was delicious! Chicken was moist and flavorful, crust was light/ just right & ranchero sauce was full of flavor and fresh! Guacamole and salsa very fresh / flavorful too! My friends enjoyed their meals as well. Service was fast & friendly. Too bad the drinks were so sad.
Disappointing. Service was very extremely slow. Our waitress disappeared for 30 minutes and I had to send the host to track her down so we could pay our bill. Not sure if they put any tequila in their margs. Food was pretty good though
I thought La Mancha had happy hour on Friday. They do not. I was charged $5.00 for a coke, add small cup of queso and cheese quesadillas. Total of $ 40.00. My friend got a drink and nachos (cheese and beans only) no extras. $ 42.00. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. We will no longer spend our hard earned money here. El Patio has better food and great prices. This experience was very disappointing.
La Manchu Advertises daily specials” ie: 2 for 1 Fajitas on Monday But they DO NOT EXIST! Was told “those are 4 years old!” It’s 2024 today With 2020 Advertised “specials” ??? We call this FALSE ADVERTISING where I come from Bait & Switch Bottom Line: The Food & Beverages were NOT worth the price. Will never return. Good luck with that, folks! Most expensive Mexican Food we’ve ever eaten in 40 years!
There was a black hair in my sons taco. Nobody at our table had black hair. We told our server and apologized and took the plate with the hair on it and said he would get the manager. We got no visit from the manager. The plate of food was not comp'd on our check. We got a dessert we didn't ask for and didn't really want. Our service was also pretty bad.
The management and owners force their employees to come to work on a snow day in Austin, which is extremely rare. It seems they care more about making a profit than for the safety of their own employees. City of Austin has recommended people NOT drive on icy roads today unless it's essential. Serving Mexican food is NOT essential. Shame on La Mancha.
I’ve eaten at this place before and had decent experiences but this is completely unacceptable. This is what $20 nachos look like to-go. Even the picture shows that it comes with guacamole, sour cream, and jalapeños— none of which I received. For that price, my six nacho chips should be breaking with the weight of the $20 ‘fajita’ meat. 0/10.
Got told this place was the best Mexican food in Austin. That was a lie. Ordered a house margarita for about 10.50$ which was no better than a 5$ margarita at chili’s. The food itself was very tough. My fajita meat had been burned and over cooked as well as just being chewy overall. The cheese looked like the cheapest cheese they could find and honestly I can say this was one of the worst Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to. Service was bad, as our server was unable to serve us most of the time. We even had to wait over 10 minutes to get our check. Honestly it surprised me how bad this place was.
