If you want to eat some good Korean food Manna Korean Restaurant in Austin Tx. Great service, Real good food.
I’m utterly impressed. Recently our original Korean spot sadly closed due them retiring. And we’d had been bummed out due to their food being delicious and reasonably priced. Coming here was just the same feeling of our original spot if not a smidge better. The Galbi $27.99 was so tender I could cut it with a spoon . The Banchan was tasty my favorite was the sweet potatoes. I’d definitely recommend this place. The inside is a bit dim but clean and cozy.
I visited recently and ordered the fresh sliced beef short ribs along with the beef Soon Dooboo Jjigae, and both dishes were extremely satisfying. The fresh sliced beef short ribs were high quality, well-marbled, and full of rich flavor. The meat cooked quickly and stayed tender and juicy, making every bite feel indulgent without being overwhelming. You can really taste the freshness and care in the cut, which makes a big difference. The beef Soon Dooboo Jjigae was exactly what you want from a classic Korean stew—deeply flavorful, spicy, and comforting. The broth was robust and savory, with a nice kick of heat that wasn’t overpowering. The soft tofu was silky and absorbed all the flavors beautifully, while the beef added heartiness to the dish. Served bubbling hot, it was perfect alongside a bowl of rice. Service was friendly and efficient, and the overall atmosphere was casual and welcoming.
I’ve been coming here for years and will continue to do so! Really lovely low-key Korean restaurant with delicious traditional dishes. Would recommend getting their porridge.
The food here is amazing! We tried the 순두부 (Soft Tofu Stew), Beef BBQ, 칼비 Kalbi, and 삐비밤 Bibimbap. The portions aren’t as huge as Texas-sized meals, but they’re definitely filling. The Beef BBQ has a slightly sweet flavor, and the Kalbi were incredibly tender. The Bibimbap was packed with fresh vegetables, making it really hearty and satisfying. The soft tofu stew was comforting and full of flavor. The service was excellent too…. when I seemed unsure about how to mix the Bibimbap, the staff kindly came over to show me how. They were super friendly and made the experience even better. I’d definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for delicious and satisfying food~
This is a mom and pop restaurant that has authentic Korean flavors. I came here for dinner after landing from the airport on a weekday evening. There was no wait and I was seated immediately. While the service may have been a little delayed, given the limited staffing, I did not have any complaints. I ordered the Kalbi set with t Kimchi jiggae. There were many bonchon provided and I enjoyed every bit of the meal. The kimchi jjiggae had big chunks of pork and the kimchi was ripe. Even the Kalbi was seasoned well. The portions were good. The area surrounding the location may seem a little off but do not be dissuaded from coming here. I highly recommend Korean food at this restaurant if you are in Austin!
Twas my first time visiting this Korean restaurant! I’m so happy that I got to come here with my wife because I was craving for delicious tofu soup! I was wondering whether they can do it for vegetarian style and they did it for me! My wife got a bowl of vegetarian bibimbap and it was very good as well! I love that they gave us so much traditional side dishes and they are all good! The lady server was very friendly and nice! I’ll love to come back here for tofu soup!! Come visit and enjoy your meal 🍽️ Cheers 🥂 and keep up the good work!
I’ve been coming to this location ever since I was in college. My roommates parents brought me here and I haven’t stopped coming since. The ladies that were working were super nice and welcoming. It’s an old mom and pops restaurant. I love the vibe, makes me feel like I’m in my grandma‘s house. They have big flatscreen TVs. I love that their menu has plenty of pictures for you to see. I wish I could order everything. 10 out of 10, highly recommend.
Authentic Korean food with clean barbecue grill/stoves at every table. Delicious seafood dishes; I especially enjoyed the #3 Pa Jeon - Seafood Pancake with green onions, $10.99; and #34 Ojingeo Bbockum-Spicy Squid Stir Fry with vegetables, $17.99. Also a wide selection of bottled beers, traditional Korean Alcohols (Makgeolli, Soju, Baekseju) and many soft drinks and juices. Clean, simple decor; nice metal chopsticks too! Clean restroom. Moderate prices.
Top notch for authentic Korean comfort food. We ordered the kimchi jjigae, beef bulgogi, jajangmyeon, and all were delicious. The soup was super flavorful and think it’s a strongpoint. Solid banchan with a wide variety, and best kimchi I’ve had in Austin so far. This isn’t an AYCE BBQ, or a fusion restaurant. There are lots of Korean dishes that you’d find in Korea to try. The service was actually quite fast (we went on Sunday for lunch). The owners were friendly as well. The vibe is what you’d expect from a strip mall joint, nothing fancy but clean and cozy. Thumbs up for me, and definitely want to come back and try more items! Han Yang market is also next door which is convenient if you want to do some shopping.
I had the spare ribs, and they were delicious. Plenty of meat, very tender. My daughter had the beef bulgogi. My daughter enjoyed her meal as well. We will definitely be back. It's not amazing food, but it's definitely solid and enjoyable. It definitely has a strip mall atmosphere, so not fine dining. Just good food. Prices are middle of the road.
3 years ago, I commented the review. Till date, food standards is still the same and good. Although price went up a little, we still love this authentic korean restaurant. The ambience is good, food portion is big and tasty. Prices are reasonable too. One of my favourite place for korean cuisine. 👍🏻
I was pleasantly surprised by the food here. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I came, as the interior doesn’t exactly shout quality (it’s just very plain and doesn’t strike one as a restaurant interior is all). A lot of reviewers have mentioned less-than-great service, but I thought it was totally fine. My party had chicken bulgogi, teriyaki chicken, and kimchi soup. Everything was very tasty. We left satisfied and thought the prices were great too.
Ordered the Haemool Jeongol (#45) spicy seafood soup. Abundant seafood - squid, octopus, crab, clams, mussels, and large shrimp. Came with zucchini, watercress, kimchi, tofu and udon noodles. Mildly spicy, bold flavor but not overwhelming hot spicy. Savory, slightly sweet, light soup enhanced by quality seafood. Hearty amount - could feed three people. Banchan consisted of gamja jorim (potatoes), kimchi, oi muchim (spicy cucumbers), kongnamul muchim (soybeans), and fishcake. Potatoes and fishcake prepared more salty than sweet which I prefer. Lightly fermented kimchi, still crunchy. Impressed with the size and flavor of the seafood soup. Good banchan offering. Came on Sunday at 2 pm and the lunch rush was still happening.
Manna Korean Restaurant offers solid Korean fare with a welcoming atmosphere. We had the spicy pork and beef bulgogi—both were flavorful, though I personally prefer them served on a sizzling hot plate. The seafood pancake was decent but could use more seafood. The highlight of our visit was the incredibly friendly service from our server, who made the experience even better. Notably, there were many Korean diners here, which is always a good sign of authenticity. Overall, a good spot for Korean food, but a few small tweaks would make it even better!
Ate here a few times and it’s became my favorite korean restaurant. Food is authentic Korean meals! Only complaint is that I noticed that they gave different side dishes to koreans who were there which I was alittle disappointed by. Aside from that, food was amazing, service could use some more checking in but the restaurant was small enough that they notice right away when you need something. I haven’t tried their meals for 3-4 people yet but i would love to try that someday. Their portion sizes were huge too honestly could do 2meals with it if you are a small eater.
If you want to eat real Korean foods? Also wanna try many different small dishes? This is the restaurant what you have to visit! Honestly price is little bit high. Almost same price to Korean restaurants in Los Angeles. But.. yummy. Don't expect about atmosphere. But I will say it again. The foods are real Korean foods. And I strongly recommend the LA Galbi combo!
Mom and Pop. Beyond loved the Soondooboo Jigae with all the sides / Banchan. One of the best Jigaes I’ve had in Austin in years!!! Very rushed service. Not enough attention after main entrees were served. Portion sizes are small. Even the Jigae and the Bulgogi were small for the price of $18 per dish. Food was very tasty. Loved / Must order again • Soondooboo Jigae with pork. No egg, extra spicy. ○ All the 4 sides Banchan with Jigae • Pot stickers • Galbi *****. So pricey though • Pork Bulgogi • Yookegjang **** Liked / not bad • Seafood Scallion Pancake • Fried rice
