Amazing food! Love that you can see the food and make your selection! I will be back!
Loved my chicken shawarma tray! Super friendly service, huge portions, and reasonable prices. Will be back soon 🤙🏼 Update: still amazing eat here plz
What a phenomenal find! This place is absolutely fresh and delicious. So thrilled to find a healthy Mediterranean spot serving incredible food to our North Austin community! We’ve had the chicken and beef shawarma and also the SIDES! There are sooo many sides it’s difficult to choose! And the people are so kind, they offered us a free plate of potatoes to try even though I was full with the other sides: the romaine salad, hummus, cucumber salad, yummy Beets, cabbage salad! Veggie babaganoush, tabbouleh, omg I still have yet to try the rice and all the warm sides. There’s so much, but I just adore the sides! Always leftovers for a schwarma plate, that I take for lunch the next day! Thank you Peace Bakery! Thank you for the baklava too!! There’s so much to choose from!
Ali the owner and his brother are really great people. They have the best Palestinian and Arab food! Everything is always fresh and tasty! I will stay coming here for anything middle eastern! Thanks for the great service!
This was one of the best baba ganoush I ever had, very heavy on garlic but fortunately I like garlic. They make the shawarma without any oil so I assume it's kinda healthy. The hot sauce was very flavorful. Will order the chicken kebab next time, it takes 20min to wait so may call it in ahead.
First time here and wow — I ordered the half chicken with rice and it was amazing — perfectly seasoned, juicy, and comforting in the best way. The mixed cucumber vegetables were super fresh, and the pistachio baklava was unreal. The environment was very calm and peaceful, which made the experience even better, and everyone working there was genuinely so kind. They even gave me a sample of their lentil soup and it was incredible, rich, flavorful, and comforting. I’m definitely coming back. This place feels like a gem.
The best Mediterranean restaurant in Austin. I travel from South Austin to eat here. You will not be disappointed by anything here. 10/10 everything and also very vegan/vegetarian friendly. Can't wait to check out their food truck coming to South Austin ❤️
The food is wonderful. Generous portions, amazing sides with. Lot of options to try several w your meal and delicious mains. I brought a group of 8 friends after having gone a couple times and everyone loved it! Plenty of meats for team carnivore/keto and awesome veggies for the V-Team. Some amazing items: Stuffed eggplant (no really everyone loved it) Chicken shawarma Lamb and okra stew Roasted chicken The Sunday roasted chicken on a pita is extra great Beats Hummus Potatoes Tabbouleh All big winners
This Mediterranean type food establishment is Outstanding in every way, in regards to my 1st visit, with a friend's recommendation. The variety of food, the abundance of choices, and the quality & tastes were top level in my travels of Central Texas Austin area. Check out their menu and see for yourself, what we ordered was absolutely delightful. I'll further review particular items per taste tests in the future as well, as I will return with family and friends. I would love to see this owner establishment put this same restaurant in Leander/Liberty Hill/Georgetown. Excellent food product and excellent staff.
It was our first time here and the place was great! The rice, hummus, and pita was my personal favorite and the portion sizes are generous. My partner had the wrap and said it was delicious! Regrettably we didn't get a chance to try the harayra, but we will have to get some next time. Thank y'all for having us! :)
Wow, just wow… how have we overlooked this gem all these years?!?! Simply the best Mediterranean food we’ve had in town! The hummus is some of the best we’ve ever tasted and the portions are shockingly large - a double meat platter easily feeds 2. The option to get half sides is fantastic and their half portion is like other restaurants’ full portion. The other 3 sides I tried were potatoes, baba ghanoush and tzatziki - all delicious! Chicken was great but beef had some chewy bits. To top it all off, they gave us each a generous piece of baklava, as they were closing. Such was the wonderfully friendly customer service. We will be repeat customers for sure if nothing else, to get vats of that hummus!
Food is amazing! Literally a dream for anyone who loves veggies too. Great options for almost anyone. We tried all the sides, and everything is delicious. The potatoes are especially flavorful. The chicken shawarma is so good both by itself and in the wrap. The desert options are plentiful, and the baklava is perfect. I’ve had a lot of baklava where it’s either dry or overly syrupy, but this was perfection. The service is fast, courteous, and very inviting. The atmosphere is very open and casual. They have very high ceilings that make the restaurant feel so spacious. Definitely recommend
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Austin! I have come here many times and tried something different each time. Their sides are fantastic! I'm vegetarian and there are plenty of options here for me. Their falafel is some of the best I've had. The staff is always really friendly and welcoming too. Can't recommend Peace Bakery enough.
Peace Bakery is genuinely the best food and hospitality in Austin. Everyone is so kind and thoughtful, the food is incredible and always fresh, and the value for the amount they give you can't be matched. I always get at least two meals out of it. Also, the pistachio baklava is *chefs kiss*, the best I've ever had, melt in your mouth, fantastic. I highly recommend.
If you love Mediterranean or Vegetarian, this is a MUST TRY!!! -The weekly specials are great. Selection of sides are a joy. If you like Baklava, you will LOVE their amazing selection of Baklava in a variety flavors! Their daily fresh bread is so warm and inviting. Dip into your delicious hummus with or without spicy pepper sauce. 🌶 yumm!
My wife and I got a falafel wrap, the chicken shawarma wrap, the coriander potatoes, and 2 pastries. The wraps were both delicious and they gave a pretty decent portion size. The coriander potatoes were out of this world delicious, definitely would get that again. The birds nest pastry was absolutely delicious, but the pistachio baklava pastry was possibly the best pastry that I have ever had, and your boy here has had quite a few in his lifetime. Overall it was a wonderful experience with good service and amazing food. We will definitely be coming again.
Best Middle Eastern food in Austin, hands down! Everything is fresh, flavorful, and made with love. The menu is super varied, and they keep it exciting with different daily specials. Every dish is ridiculously good—full of flavor and the warmth of a home-cooked meal. The owners and staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Big shoutout to Omar for always bringing such great energy to the place and making you feel right at home.
Absolutely phenomenal food. We had the falafel family platter with 3 large sides. The falafel is made fresh to order and was crispy and delicious. They are generous with the amount of food and pita given. The coriander potatoes are excellent and the hummus is delicious. This place feels magical and you can tell how much love and generosity is poured into making the food. Thank you for the experience.
The lamb shank was tasty. The brisket was cooked to leather. The sides were a different aesthetic. They were either loaded with lemon juice, the tabouleh, or vinegar, the cabbage salad. The hummus salad featured chickpeas that were cooked super soft paired with raw carrots. Never had this. I'm not new to this cuisine, but this way. Asked for hot tea. Was told they were out. Was served Turkish coffee in broken coffee cups, was told they didn't have any more. Little efforts in the way of customer service. A lot of dirty tables. They didn't even pick up after themselves when they were done eating. One employee parked in the fire lane in front of the restaurant and left his car there. Broken soap dispenser, broken paper towel rack. The pot for wudoo was dirty. Dirty commode. Ceiling tiles missing. The place needs a deep clean and repairs.
This was the first place I stopped to eat during my trip to Texas from Jersey. It was okay. My expectations were high. I got the beef shawarma, chicken shawarma, dolma, tabouleh, potatoes, and spicy hummus. It was underwhelming. I was starving because my flight was delayed and the food still was bleh even though I was that hungry. Service was okay. Felt overpriced.
