This Phil’s is 10x better than the one on 183. Burgers are fresh and delicious and my kids love the playground. Can’t go wrong here for a family friendly place to grab lunch or dinner.

The food is so darn good here! The chicken sandwich I had was one of the best I’ve had in a long time and the sweet potato fries are delicious. My husband had a traditional burger and he also enjoyed it a lot. This place has become our new favorite burger joint.

I got a build your own turkey burger. It was delicious. I asked for an egg in it and it was cooked exactly how ordered, I’m picky with my eggs. My kids enjoyed their meals as well. They have Mexican Coke which is always a plus. They also have a playground that is shared with the ice cream shop next door. Playground was clean and the kids had fun. Will definitely comeback.

We always make a point to stop at Phil's for a burger when we are in town. They have a large selection of burgers and are happy to swap out a beef patty for turkey. The burgers are never dry when cooked well done. The bun on the Travis Heights burger was a bit sweet which balanced out the savory flavors of the mushrooms and onions well. I appreciate being able to order half regular fries and half sweet potatoes for no extra cost. The batter on the onion rings was delicious. Until next time!

In from Houston wanted Ice cream & burger. We hit the jackpot! This small old service station is one of the unique places that makes Austin, Austin. The burgers are all homemade with unique Austin names with a wide variety of toppings. Any burger can be made to a mini burger, you can try several of the unique burgers with fries. They have regular and sweet potato fries. They also serve beer. The dining area is actually the garage area. The bathrooms still have the “bathroom service lights” from the original station. Small dining area about 10 booths. There is a door that connects to the Amy’s Ice cream next door. Phil & Amy did great with this place ! The outside shared area has a great playground for the kids with patio and sitting area to sit and enjoy a burger , drink and ice cream in a great little neighborhood of Austin. Any place that can put an egg on my burger automatically deserves a 5 star from me! Their burgers were so good and a pretty good size considering the price! They're put on these delicious sourdough buns, and the patties are not too thick, which I really appreciate (I dislike thick patties very much!) The service was very top-notch as well! Literally, the only complaint I had was that their drink cups were a bit small, so we had to refill them more frequently. But seriously, who cares when the food is so delicious! Thank you, everyone at Phil's, for a satisfyingly tasty meal!

Getting to Phil’s Ice House was a happy accident. The burgers were so tasty! I had the 78704. The buns were nicely toasted, the burger was juicy and very flavorful. The sweet potato fries were outstanding, as were the regular fries. No need to choose one over the over as they offer half regular fries and half sweet potato fries. Also, the Maine Root beverages were fantastic! I think my fave was the prickly pear with lemonade.

You must come here! The onion rings are thin and well seasoned. The BLT had bacon exploding out of it and tons of fresh vegetables.  The bread was toasted, with a wonderful buttery flavor--and I found the butter ended up on my hands! The cheeseburger was large with a soft bun, served with the cheese nicely melted.   Something that was a nice surprise is that they serve Maine Root Soda here, which is a terrific change from the mainstream.

It's not about the atmosphere at Phils. It's about the consentcy! Food is always fresh and on point! The service is always attentive and polite This is now my Daughter top 3 hamburger destinations.

Love their tortilla crusted catfish planks. Also, their turkey meatloaf with onion gravy. It's also one place where you can get veggies and a salad instead of just potatoes and simple carbs. Friendly helpful staff.

Ordered thru Uber! I could’ve sworn they used to have the skinny crunchy fries but the fries, both sweet potato and regular were soggy :( My burger was also a bit discombobulated haha but still one of my favorite burger spots. I hope they can make delivery orders crunchier!

Been here a few times now because I really want to like this place. There's a playscape in the back along with ice cream so it makes it a really convenient place to bring the kiddo. But it's just not doing it for me. To start with the positives - I really really like the meat here. I find it to be of good quality and I like the taste a lot when eaten right away*. The regular fries are approved by the kiddo. The negatives - none of us like the bread, it's just not doing it for us. All the various burgers we have tried has all been very mediocre is flavor. Whether it's the jalapeno cheese bun, the chilli, the seasonings, every variation has been bland. The burgers are pretty pricey for what you get. The menu is just super confusing. Last time our fries came out as sweet potato fries. I guess you have to clarify regular fries or something? Anyway, I do not like sweet potato fries at all. The meat dries up really fast and gets hard if not eaten really quickly. This makes it hard for the kiddo to eat. So yea, I really wish the burgers were better tasting and less pricey cuz the location and playscape is really great but after 4 visits, I think this is just not the place for us.

On the way to whataburger we found Phil's icehouse we had never tried it before my wife and I decided to try !!!!!!! Well well well we start with the bad attitude of the cashiers. We visited on 7-10-2025 in the afternoon the portions of fries a small portion the menu said that my hamburger came with avocado 🥑 they gave me guacamole the same small portion less than a teaspoon the soda a plastic glass and small glass we definitely had to go to whataburger I hope the owner improves things here!!!!! NOW
