If you love mango desserts, this will be your jam. We came back twice in one week, because it's just that good. Super refreshing, not deeply sweet, just subtly. This is typical in Asian desserts. It just feels healthier lol. The white sticky rice balls are so chewy and fun. They do fry the dough balls in pork oil, but they tell you that when you order, so you have the opportunity to change your mind. The sauce was mango puree and the fruit itself was sweet and soft. We will go back and try the other items. We highly recommend trying Hui Lau Shan.
So glad they have a location in Austin. When I used to visit family in Hong Kong we’d always go to these as kids. This place is a mango lovers dream. All things mango you’ll find here. Perfect way to end a night in Austin. Mango chewy ball is a great dessert to cover all bases.
I've been to this spot multiple times and each time I enjoy it. There are some inconsistency issues sometimes though. Some mango pieces weren't as yummy as others. but overall I would recommend this place if you are looking for your mango fill. It is super good
Personally, I love eating mango. I chose the mango and coconut menu with ice cream. It was a good combination. The drink was refreshing and not too sweet. The shop is decorated comfortably. There is outdoor seating.
Hong Kong mango dessert spot that’s perfect for mango lovers like me. Especially now that it's mango season so it's the best time to go! They have mango smoothies, bowls, puddings, etc and all sorts of treats from pancakes, egg waffles, and mochi. They even have a new tiramisu which I will need to go back for! Mango mochi and pancakes are great, they’re made fresh daily. Parking is available for free in their lot and garage, but it does get packed during peak hours.
Finally open, of course soft opening. Absolutely well done and I’m happy they stuck to basics with the offerings as well as the location. They do their classics Mango chewy ball, their drinks and mochi of course. Try all their recommended ones and you won’t be disappointed if you decide to take a chance with the others. I’m hoping they get all setup well and get going post soft opening.
This was my stop to go to in Houston, I’m so happy they opened on up in Austin. Went on a Friday during soft opening at 8 and waited for about 25 min. All the deserts were so yummy, but felt like the mangos were too ripe and didn’t have much flavor. But will be going back because I really enjoy the pomelo mango sago.

Mango heaven! Similar to Mango Mango. Came in around 6pm on a Saturday. Plenty of parking, including a free 2-hr parking garage across the parking lot. There’s very little space to line up to order when you walk in. They give you a buzzer for when your order is ready. We got A2 (mango romance) and C13 (bubble waffle with mango ice cream) $21 with tip.
Love this place! I have brought friends and family here. Everyone has loved the mango based desserts. My favorite to order here is the Coconut Jelly with Mango. I will be trying their drinks the next time I come here.
Recently discovered this local gem, all of their menu items are just amazing! It is even better during the mango season. The coconut jelly is not from this world! Definitely worth your time and calories, and it is healthy too!

Hui Lau Shan is a fun and refreshing dessert spot, especially if you’re a mango lover. I first found out about this place through a social media video and was instantly intrigued by the fact that mango is the central theme of almost everything on the menu. I took my toddler along—he’s a huge fan of mango crisps, bubble egg waffles, and mango ice cream—so this felt like the perfect outing. The desserts were vibrant and satisfying, and even though mango wasn’t in peak season, it still hit that sweet mango craving we all get from time to time. Naturally, it wasn’t as sweet as peak-season fruit, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. I personally tried the mango tiramisu, which was decent but not as standout as some of the other items. That said, the variety on the menu is impressive, and I’m definitely planning to return to try some of their mango drinks and puddings next time. Overall, it’s a unique concept, family-friendly, and a great place to indulge in mango-inspired treats. A solid 4-star experience with plenty more to explore.
Mangoes are my forever favorite fruit growing up in the Philippines and coming here in this gem is little slice of home and heaven. So much selection but since it is my first time, I decided to try the sampler. My Yelpie queens had drinks and will try them next time I visit. Service was quick. I forgot to ask if they have military discount but they do have rewards system I saw by the cash register. Clean even when it’s closing time. Parking-limited, not well lit area but great dessert place!
While we are on lamar, looking for a desert, found this Hui Lau Shan.. the place with exclusive mango deserts . Mango delight trio and mango coconut balls are good. Since we came at non season the mangoes are not fully sweet rather it is little sour. I would suggest to try once and must during mango season
Cute spot for mango lovers. The display photos looked really appealing, but my order came in plain plastic containers and didn’t match the presentation. Still, the dessert was fun to eat. The place was clean with plenty of seating, and the staff was friendly.
Jun 11, 2024 6 photos This is the place for mango lovers! We visited during the first week of the soft opening, and there was a long line from the register, through the restaurant, out the door, and around the corner. We were lucky enough to find a spot inside. We ordered: - Mango Romance Sampler: These were all delicious. - Mango Crisp: My favorite! Even though I wouldn't call myself a mango lover, these reminded me of mango cheesecake. Absolutely delicious. - Mango Swirl: A refreshing mango drink with what I think was a subtle hint of jasmine. Not overly mango-flavored, which I liked, but my mango-loving husband found it average. - Mango Chewy Ball: Good, but the tapioca pearls consistency was a bit harder than I would have liked. I would have preferred vanilla ice cream instead of mango as the mango flavor was too overpowering for me, but my mango-loving husband loved it with the mango ice cream. Overall, I recommend this place! There are options for mango lovers and those who like mangos but don't love them. We'll be back to try more items once they fully open!
Absolutely loved this place! The mango desserts had such a unique and delicious taste – not something you find everywhere. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly sweet. If you’re a mango lover or just looking for something different and yummy, this spot is a must-try! Highly recommend!
Mangomania My daughter is a fan of Asian treats so we had to give this a try. Unbeknownst to me, this place is devoted to mango, they had just about every iteration of mango imaginable. There was a large crowd of Asians buying a great deal of treats. My daughter was very happy with her mango desert. I had a watermelon milk tea with cream cheese, it wasn't as sweet as I'd hoped, but was happy with their use of actual fruit and the strong tea flavor. A good quality drink. I also noted the use of mango fruit in the desserts, I'll have to try one next time. I'm happy to say they have padded seating inside, something missing from similar establishments. You can sit down and enjoy your desert. There's some outdoor seating in the mixed use neighborhood with some tree coverage. I wish there was a nicer setting but admit it's better than others as there are at least one or two trees to sit under vs. looking out onto a busy street. Austin has been without many great choices in Asian food, but I can say a full blown Renaissance is underway.
What a great dessert spot! They have a lot of mango-based desserts and drinks. We really enjoyed the food, and the interior has a nice, clean look with a good vibe.

Very yummy mango mango! A bit pricey for some items or else it would be 5 stars. Need to do a few more crypto rug pulls to dine here everyday. Put more sago sago balls in my mouth
Love their coconut pudding it’s refreshing and not too overly sweet. However all the fruit are not in good quality. I been there 3 times their mangoes are very sour and watermelon tastes too watery. Definitely need more quality control. Fast service!
One of My daughter is huge fans Asian cuisine, and Hui Lau Shan in Austin did not disappoint! The mango desserts and drinks were a hit with us, and we appreciated the use of fresh fruit and strong tea flavors. However, the narrow working hours meant a long wait outside in a queue, which wasn't ideal for us. Despite this, the staff did their best to manage the crowds. We hope they consider extending their hours to reduce the wait times. Although not as sweet as expected, it was a quality drink. Austin's Asian food scene is undergoing a Renaissance, and Hui Lau Shan is a delightful addition! We'll be back for more mango goodness.
Hui Lau Shan is an okay choice if you’re craving a mango dessert, but the experience can be inconsistent. When the fruit is fresh, their desserts are enjoyable, but they may not always be worth the price. It’s worth trying if you love mango, but not necessarily a must-visit.
I was super excited to try this place after trying the one in Houston. They have lots of unique drinks and desserts that are a great variation from all the boba places around, but still with a similar vibe. Unfortunately, it may be due to coming when the mangos are out of season, but I thought for the mango and coconut juice with crystal jelly the mangos were barely a sweet and I thought there was too much sago in comparison to the other stuff, and it tasted weirdly unbalanced. Might try again when mangos are in season!

There are slim pickings for mango desserts in town so Hui Lau Shan is worth a visit for that reason. The tastes are fine but it does feel mass manufactured and plain. I prefer my sorbet/gelato be smoother without feeling shaved ice in the bites but to each his own. The jellies and puddings are bland compared to other places and the mango mochi is outdone by other bakeries in bigger cities. It’ll hit the spot if you are stranded in Austin.
