Excellent tacos, tortillas, and tortas with great service. This is a very casual restaurant with a modest amount of indoor seating and a number of covered picnic tables outside. A great place for breakfast or lunch. I have my go to’s (picture is of a Street Taco and a Senor Crockett) but everything on the menu is great. Don’t miss the tortas – particularly the ahogada. It can be lunch for two days.
Weekend getaway in Austin, went here for lunch. Ambience- laid back, very casual atmosphere, kind of like a college food joint. Nothing fancy, a few tables inside, a lot of outdoor picnic tables, both with and without shade. Also some picnic tables away from the main building beneath some trees. Service - very good and simple. You order at the counter, pay, and when your food is ready, they call out your order over a speaker so if you are outside you don’t miss out. The person who took our order was extremely friendly and laid back. Helped us with a few questions and had suggestions. We chose to sit outside, no problem with finding a table. Some have noted there may be a lot of birds hanging around (Grackles). Didn’t bother us, but we noticed one person a bit freaked out about it. If they call your order and you miss it, don’t worry, they will keep repeating until you come pick it up. Food - we ordered 4 tacos and a side of chips and salsa to share between the two of us. As we eat normal portions, this was too much food…could have gotten away with 2, maybe 3 tacos at most as they are very generously sized, especially with a side of chips. All the tacos were good, fresh, and flavorful. The only exception was the fish taco (fried). While not bad, it just wasn’t very flavorful…actually kind of boring, though the sauce made it ok. The grilled sirloin street taco was outstanding. The pulled pork was also extremely good. They supposedly make homemade flour tortillas, but the corn ones which we ordered were pre-packaged commercial ones. The chips and salsa were nothing special, the chips however were very thick…a bit too much. Lighter chips would have been much more appealing. All in all a very good lunch! Would I go there again…most definitely! Would I recommend…absolutely!
Overall great taco and value. The steak in one of mine was a little tough. But tasty. Would return. I just wish guests would not feed the birds as this brings more and more to have tasty tacos

MY GO TO BREAKFAST TACO PLACE!!! Cannot rant and rave enough. I usually order the potato egg and cheese sometimes with avocado on it. It’s so good that the tacos don’t even need meat! But man they make a mean bacon egg and cheese plus whatever else you’d want for a breakfast taco! Steak egg and Gouda is delicious too! Plus their wide array of delicious salsas at different spice levels is awesome. On top of that, their cold brew must be brewed by God because it is STRONG and yummy. Best cold brew in Atx.
Taco Joint has been our go-to for some of the best tacos in A-town. I love their big banana-leaf wrapped chicken tamale. They sell out fast - so my other favorite is their fried fish taco (shown here after I took a bite!) My hubby loves their chicken fajita taco so much he never orders anything else.
The tacos were quick, fast, and straight up delicious. Parking was easy, which is rare out here. Hit the spot after a ten mile run around Lady Bird Lake. The patio is solid, chill vibes, good seats. We ate outside but heads up, the birds were on demon mode. Turn your back for one second to grab napkins or hot sauce and they act like your taco is community property. Still worth it.

Nothing short of amazing. The food is amazing. I got 2 fish tacos and 1 street taco. The portion size is huge. So don’t worry about leaving hungry. The service was great. The food came out right away. 10/10 would recommend.
This was our first visit and we will definitely be back. Wow! Some of the best tacos I've had. I had a beef and a pork one. My wife had shrimp. All delicious. Plus we had the nachos. Outstanding. Person at the register gave us great recommendations. Waited about 5-10 minutes for our order. Highly recommend!
A very unassuming taco place. Taco Joint is a fitting name. I would describe the place as well-worn. When sitting outside in the AM sit away from the downspouts that may drip on you. That out of the way, the food was great! The tacos as the perfect size and the quesadilla was enough to fill both my kids. I really liked the 420 and the habanero salsa was perfect. Really spicy, but not so hot you would only eat it on a dare. The mole and cabbage taco was also good, but I like my mole more smokey than sweet. This was a touch sweet for me, but still good. If I lived in Austin I would make this a regular stop. At least now I know where to get bfast next year before ACL!

I waited too long to try Taco Joint!! Definitely one of Austin’s best taco joints. Tried the Street Taco & Seared Fish Taco - both amazing and stuffed with deliciousness. The prices are great, the staff are the best. Seating inside and out makes it the perfect place to stop in for breakfast or lunch. 5 star all the way! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Loved this place! Drove by and had to turn around to go in. Got 3 tacos and they filled me up, very generous with meat and cheese! I'll definitely stop by this place again next time I am in Austin !!
I’m saying this with my full chest, Taco Joint is without a doubt the best breakfast taco spot in Austin. For starters, they have an almost unfathomable amount of options! They have multiple vegan/vegetarian options and are more than willing to swap any protein for one of the three plant based options. Also sooooo many bevvie options, try mixing horchata and thier house made cold brew! Every single taco I have had from Taco Joint has been SO delicious. My absolute favorite has to be the migas though, soooo well balanced and flavorful. The staff is incredibly friendly, and on most weekdays the wait is almost nonexistent! Absolutely a can’t miss, and right next to Town Lake Trail for a post breakfast walk:)

I first discovered Taco Joint at their campus location and was instantly hooked. Now that I frequent the Riverside spot, I can confidently say both locations are equally excellent. The service is friendly and quick, the food always hits the spot, and the atmosphere feels relaxed and welcoming, whether I’m dining in or grabbing something to go. Taco Joint has really set the bar for what great tacos should be. With their unbeatable breakfast tacos, legendary variety, and top-notch consistency , there’s simply no better place for a satisfying, delicious meal any time of day. I have been going for 8 years!
Taco Joint has incredible tacos. The tacos are bursting with rich flavors. Ordering was very straightforward - with lots of different options. The food was ready fast and there was plenty of seating! Definitely would go here again!
This place is a great stop for some quick foods. Food arrived within minutes of ordering and was extremely flavorful. However, when ordering the sizes are odd, make sure to ask about them. Has lots of food and drink options, with both outdoor shaded seating and indoor conditioned seating. Overall, it was a good stop for lunch.
It's definitely a must go for me. I got the El Porko and the El Crocket, and they DID NOT disappoint at all! I HIGHLY recommend you try this if you're looking for a massive taco for 5 bucks each. The Pulled Pork was juicy and politely seasoned the way it's advertised. The steak in the Crockett was PHENOMONAL! especially because it comes with smoked gouda. My god, I was so full going back to work I needed a nap. 5 🌟 all around, guys!
Out of all the 🌮 tacos I had in Austin, the ones at Taco Joint stock in my mind as the freshest, best quality, and tastiest. This unassuming spot has delicious and handmade flour and corn tortillas and both breakfast and everyday tacos for all tastes. I tried a wide selection including the seated 🐟🐠 fish tacos, the El Porko 🐷 tacos, the El Tree Hugger with vegetarian 🍔 burger and seared 🧅🫑veggies, and the El Senior Crocket with delicious 🥩 steak. They also have great salsa selections, free tap 💦 water, ample ♿ handicap accessible parking 🅿️, seating, and 🚻 restrooms.

Taco Joint has really tasty tacos and pretty fast service. Went here for a quick and easy lunch and it did not disappoint. The street and wholly mole tacos were incredible and I would recommend them as a solid casual meal. The only thing keeping me from rating it 5 stars is simply the dark and slightly cramped interior of the restaurant. Besides that, the food is great and I would definitely recommend eating at Taco Joint!

Pretty solid place for tacos. Unlike a lot of places in town, still only $3.50 for a breakfast taco. Homemade flour tortillas. Good thickness. Warmed up nicely before serving. Had chorizo and egg on flour and bacon and egg. Both good. Chorizo wasn't overly greasy. Bacon is crumbled, which is great.

The tacos had a good flavor, but they are very small to say the least. The pictures posted on the Google profile look big enough to fill their serving trays. But that is not the case for a takeout order. Not sure if I would come back, but if I do I will have to try dine in. I will also share my experience then. Your humble day to day guy.
