Opinions de UZeat Restaurant Austin
Visited Ezov in Austin with my family (group of four), and it was a fantastic fine-dining experience. The place is beautiful, with a great vibe that feels upscale yet comfortable. We ordered bread, chicken shawarma, mushroom appetizers, and a couple of drinks, and everything was amazing. The food was flavorful, well-presented, and clearly made with quality ingredients. The drinks were also excellent and paired well with the meal. Another thing we really appreciated was the valet service, which made the visit very convenient and hassle-free. Overall, a wonderful dining experience with great food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a fine dining spot in Austin.
Better than I could have imagined! The chefs are really masters of flavor here. The lamb was possibly the best of my life! Knowledgeable and sweet servers too!
Delicious vegan options, great atmosphere and friendly service. Probably my favorite restaurant in Austin. The had a mushroom shawarma that was amazing!
First time visit. We had a party of 6 for brunch. We ordered family style and had most of the items on the brunch menu. They were all fantastic! Great mix of flavor profiles & textures. Highly recommended table sharing as many dishes as you can!
Ezov has food that plays with your palate in every department - textures, taste and aromas. The portion size was perfect, not too much, and that helped us sample a good amount of things on the sunday brunch menu. The pistachio bun was very flavorful and paired with some filter coffee, you cannot stop. The orange blossom bun has hints of orange peel and is subtly flavored, but for us the star was the pistachio bun. Hummus came out with perfect amount of garlic and the warm pita to go with it was good too. Crispy sweet potatoes were cooled perfectly and crisp on the outside. The sabich benedict was a nice surprise with the crispy eggplant and perfect for breakfast/brunch. The shakshuka was a tad bit tangy and needed a little more pita to be had with. The service was great and they even brought us extra pita when asked. They surprised us with their bread pudding that comes with pomegranate-rose jelly as a complimentary dessert for our celebration.
Food was phenomenal. The whipped feta was our favorite dish, with the lamb shank a close second. I would skip the desserts next time. As for the service, Miranda is extremely knowledgeable and seemingly passionate about the food. She is one of the best waitresses I’ve had at any restaurant and really added to our experience.
The food here feels so familiar and so new,all at once. It's inventive but recognizable. And always so delicious! Amazing flavors, great variety and the service is outstanding. I love Ezov so much that I brought my parents here when they were visiting for the holidays.
I same day booked a table at Azov for my anniversary night, and the experience was truly outstanding. I was warmly welcomed by the receptionist, who showed me to my table, which had a thoughtful “Happy Anniversary” card from the restaurant. The waiter was incredibly friendly and attentive, offering great recommendations and ensuring everything was perfect throughout the evening. Each dish was personally presented by the chefs, who took the time to describe their creations, adding a special touch to the meal. The entire experience made the night unforgettable. I highly recommend Azov for any special occasion—whether you’re celebrating with a partner or enjoying a night out with family. Update 1/11/26: As regular patrons of Ezov, we are consistently welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. Today, we explored several new selections from their Sunday brunch menu, and the experience exceeded expectations. The dishes were fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully curated, offering an excellent variety. As always, we left with empty plates, satisfied, happy, and ready for a leisurely neighborhood walk home. A consistently outstanding experience with great food and an inviting atmosphere.
Everything we ordered was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. The hummus and crab as well as the crudo were exceptional. They have an amazing and unique wine list full of Greek, Lebanese, and Eastern European wines. We had their Agiorgitiko wine with our lamb and it paired pleasantly well.
So freaking amazing. I didn't take more photos because I couldn't find the time since I wanted to start eating and drinking because everything looked so good and tasted fantastic. Our server Daryl was captivating. He was very attentive and made the experience fantastic. I highly recommend the everything bagel tini. Best savory cocktail I have ever had. I can't wait to come back and try more of their menu.
Have now been to Ezov half a dozen times and have never been disappointed. Just when we think we will be upset that something we love came off the menu, something more phenomenal goes and replaces it. Elevated/complex flavors and attention to detail in everything starting with the cocktails to raki selections to getting perfectly paired wine from regions where the food flavors are from. Hummus selection usually changes based on what’s in season. Reinterpretation of the manti and the pastrami lamb shank are the current favorites on the menu. But you cannot go wrong! Lamb shank leftovers make excellent breakfast tacos btw, since both times we took leftovers to go it was packed with love and care with every accoutrement on the plate. Just add eggs!
Had a great time with my family for my sister and brother-in-law's birthdays. This was an excellent choice. The food was amazing. Even things I usually never eat were transformed into delicious dishes. I am sure the staff was tired of me telling them how much I enjoyed each successive dish. Everything was shareable and if there is concern you will walk away still hungry, let that go because I was stuffed. Food was excellent. Try the smashed cucumbers. Service was very good. The one negative thing I would have to say is that the music was loud with a club like beat. It made it difficult to hear across the small table without yelling. General rant: (not just about this restaurant) This is an overall trend that I've noticed and don't care for; restaurants trying to create a vibrant "dance club like" feeling. To me, it makes many restaurants less enjoyable. Makes me less likely to go back. I don't get it. I have heard the same from other people across the age spectrum. So it is not a matter of: "if it is too loud, you're too old." I know some people that when the music is that loud it upsets their stomach. Ezov did turn it down a bit for a little while but we did notice the volume creep back up as the dinner progressed. If I had a suggestion it would be to switch to more of a "lounge like", lighter background music.
I think this is my favorite restaurant in Austin. The food was unbelievable but the staff was the best part. We had multiple servers with lots of personality come bring us our food. We always had new drinks on the way. We had the lamb hummus which was super tasty. The whipped feta with hot honey was the best dish. We also got the beef kebabs with green tomatoes. The baklava with date ice cream was soooo good too. We tried almost every drink on the menu. We were surprised by the everything bagel tini so strange but oddly smooth and satisfying. Can’t wait to come back here and try the whole menu.
We went out for a Friday date-night dinner and Ezov absolutely blew us away. Before I get to the food, I just have to say our server Darryl (sorry if I spelled that wrong) was phenomenal. He was friendly, attentive, and really knowledgeable about the entire menu. He gave us great recommendations and really made the entire meal a wonderful experience. I know their menu changes, but here's what we had. We had two cocktails each: the Dew Drop, Kardia's Cure, Amba-Rita, and Tom Selek. All of them were tasty, but my favorite was the Dew Drop. His favorite was the Tom Selek. For food, we split a bunch of different items. We started with the Fire-Roasted Eggplant and Whipped Bulgarian Feta which was served with their house bread. The bread looks like it would be dense, but was light and airy and perfect for dipping. The Eggplant was good, but it was absolutely outshined by the Feta (which was our favorite dish of the meal). Next we decided to have some veggies. We tried the Pickles and Spicy plate along side the Smashed Cucumber and Smoked Labne. We liked all of our dishes, but the cucumber was at the bottom for us. It just didn't pack the flavor punch the rest of the dishes had, but it was still good. The Pickles and Spicy is a good name because it definitely was spicy. We really enjoyed that dish as well. Finally, we ended with the Pastrami Lamb Shank. That lamb was so crazy tender and the pastrami seasoning was perfect. It came with a garlicky sauce and interesting mustard for dipping. We left Ezov satisfied, happy, and with plenty of leftovers. I'm sure we will be back soon to try more dishes.
We had a great time at Ezov. The food and service was exceptional. We sat outside and, I’m not gonna lie, it was hot! They definitely need to have misters and more fans if they’re going to seat people out there during the Texas summer months. I tried to get a table inside but it was full. We won’t be sitting outside again but will most certainly be back. The crudo was divine. Hummus could have used a tad more flavor. Maybe introduce a Shatta sauce on top? Feta dip was excellent and the pita bread or bread served with the shawarma was some of the best I’ve ever had. We ordered an extra! Everything was plated gorgeous. Our server was sweet and super helpful.
Came here for a long overdue date night with the hubby. Good food, polite service, comfortable seating, but noisy ambience (I’ve come to expect that at any fancy/nice restaurant in Austin - if I want to talk I have to yell). Although we initially skipped ordering a ‘dip’ we changed our minds and ordered the whipped feta dip once we saw the bread it comes with. Definitely the right call, that bread was delicious. The cucumber & labne was ok, refreshing as a cucumber is bound to be but nothing special. The seared octopus and lamb kebab were good. The eggplant sabich was much better than I had anticipated - that eggplant was delicious and had in a light but flavorful coating. We were too full from the meal so we skipped dessert.
A beautiful restaurant with nice interiors and great vibes. Staff is friendly, warm and welcoming. Food was good. The bread was freshly baked, hummus was tasty, the pickle plate was too good. Feta was great. The best was burrata and falafel. Overall we had a great time and would love to go back to this restaurant sometime soon.
Quite an interesting place with a pleasant interior and an unusual presentation of the dishes. Many of the plates don’t really match the traditional or expected way those dishes are usually served. The hummus was tasty, and the meat was quite juicy. Our server messed up the order a bit, it seemed like he either forgot or something went wrong, because we waited for a long time and had to ask twice. In the end, one dish that was supposed to be a starter arrived more than an hour later. Overall, the experience was still pleasant, but the prices are above average. If you want to feel full, you’ll probably need to order two or three dishes. We also tried the cocktails, interesting and unusual flavors, but not really something classic that would appeal to everyone.
Overall: 4.3/5 [dine in] We came on the Sunday after Valentine's Day for dinner and were lucky to snag an 8 PM reservation, since every other restaurant we called had a 1+ hour wait. The cocktails and appetizers came out in a reasonable amount of time, but the entrees took a while. They served us complimentary bread, which was perfect for pairing with the dips, though I found it a bit too thick for my taste. Service was great throughout the night and the place had a unique vibe as well. Falafel ($13): Four huge falafel, perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Delicious and warm, and even better with the tahini, amba, and green schug sauce. Fire-Roasted Eggplant ($13): Yummy on its own, but I'm not sure it's worth $13. Whipped Bulgarian Feta ($13): The favorite of the table and an absolute standout. Pairs perfectly with the bread. Yellowfin Crudo ($18): The pomegranate flavor tasted artificial and the fish was just alright. Skip this one. Merguez NY Strip ($38): Delicious and far better than the chicken shawarma. Tender meat cooked to perfection, and the pairing with grapes was genius. Chicken Shawarma ($28): Apparently one of their most popular entrées, but it wasn't our favorite. It's served deconstructed, so you have to cut the chicken off a mini skewer yourself and build your own wrap. Lots of spices, but the flavors weren't the most memorable of the night. With so many plates on the table, it also made the whole process a bit awkward. I would have preferred it served as individual mini versions instead. Moroccan Marg ($16): Tequila, hibiscus, pomegranate, Licor 43, orange blossom, and lemon. Pretty good and easy to drink.
Came here for a birthday and they did not disappoint!! The drinks and bread were amazing. One of our guests is a vegan and they were able to accommodate without problem. But overall this a great option for vegans/non-vegans. The falafel and hummus with roasted corn are a bit spicy but highly recommended. Also, get the beef kebab at medium temp since the meat is a bit chewy. We asked for MR and I felt like it needed more time. They definitely made us feel welcome. Keep in mind they don’t provide a complimentary with a birthday occasion. You should order a dessert if you want the special touch. Our server was incredibly helpful… I wish I remembered his name.
Pros: - Pan Fried Halloumi: I would eat this every single day. A nice juxtaposition between the shredded phyllo and Halloumi. - Blood Orange Revani Cake: Perfectly balanced. Not too tart and not too sweet. - Atmosphere: Very cool ambiance and interior decor. Cons: - Hummus with Warm Blue Crab: Severely undersalted. Tasting the hummus alone without crab it had zero salt. And maybe that was intentional if they want the crab to act as the acidity?? Either way, it just wasn't good. In addition to there being crab shell in the mix. - Service: Could have been an off night based on the positive reviews but our service was very slow and pacing seemed off. Our dips and meze came all at once, then a long gap between the mains, which we had to tell our server we were ready for. Again, maybe on off night.
