Opinions de Mr. Natural Austin
This place is amazing and has everything! From the vegan bakery to a plethora of traditional mexican entrees, anything I grab from here is always fabulous. Location is close enough to walk from the Plaza Saltillo station but it's a bit far if the weather isn't good. I'm always tempted to buy extra food for leftovers but routinely can't finish my main portions anyway. Service is a tad slower than other places in the area but it also draws a bigger crowd and more than makes up for it in the quality of food.
My partner and I ate here on multiple occasions on a recent visit to Austin. OMG DROOL! We were so impressed with the selection of GF/vegan treats and menu options. There are even dairy free horchata syrups to take home! We really thought Austin would have more a plant-based scene, and honestly we were left wanting. There are not many fully plant-based restaurants, but obviously not the case for Mr Natural! We are so thankful we found this gem off Cesar Chavez.
Coming from DC, I wanted to try as much vegan Mexican food that I could get in Austin! I got the Macho Nachos and it was a huge plate! I only finished half of them and took the rest to go. Staff was so friendly and the selection of vegan desserts (cakes, donuts, pastries) was so awesome to see, wish i could of tried everything! I took home a vegan chocolate tres leches cake and it reminded me so much of the original, same with the horchata so delicious!! Can't recommend this place enough for visitors or locals!
They have THE best vegan cakes, cookies and pastry we've ever found.
Mr. Natural has some of the best vegan baked goods in town! The cone pastry filled with bavarian cream is my favorite.
You’ll be like a kid in a candy store entering this place! So very many options you’ll have a hard time knowing when to stop. You could try products for days here and they’re pretty delicious! The milkshakes are super filling. The donuts taste a bit like brownies. The people are super friendly. Clean place. Great find!
very cute and homey spot. the strawberry cake was soooo good. super moist, no nasty artificial tasting flavors, and the icing wasn’t too sweet <333
Obsessed w/their gluten free choc chip cookies & sweet potato empanadas…..plus, let’s be real, all of their bakery items are sooo good 😍 Vero & Manuel are always wonderful & super friendly!!
I got a custom vegan carrot cake for an employee's birthday. It was the best vegan cake I've tried. It was like and fluffy with a delicious frosting. It looked beautiful as well. I also got a chocolate chip cookie which I loved. I got a piece of tres leches cake, the flavor was good but it was a bit too wet for me. All around this will be my go to place for any vegan baked goods.
Mr. Natural has been a part of my life since childhood, and it continues to hold a special place in my heart. One of the things I’ve always loved is their aqua frescas — refreshing, flavorful, and amazingly consistent throughout the years. No matter how much time passes, the taste instantly takes me back to those early visits and feels like a little sip of nostalgia. On top of that, their desserts and dairy-free ice creams are pure happiness in every bite. Austin summers can be unforgiving, but stopping by for dairy-free ice cream turns the heat into a reason to celebrate. It’s rare to find treats that are both indulgent and mindful of different dietary needs, and Mr. Natural does it so well. The addition of their vitamins and supplements shop next door, is so nice. It’s so convenient to grab some B12 when I’m feeling low energy, magnesium when I’m restless, or even herbs for a relaxing bath. They really have all the things to help nourish body and soul. Whether I’m cooling down with something sweet, or picking up a wellness boost, Mr. Natural always brings me comfort, joy, and a little sense of home.
A nice little find in the heart of Austin! Couldn’t believe my luck at finding this delicious little vegan place, whilst we were there for the festival. The food was amazing - not just for being vegan - and the cakes are to die for! Hands down the best vegan pancakes I have ever had. Just gutted they wouldn’t let me have the recipe!
This place is vegan heaven. Traditional Mexican cuisine, bakery treats, and juice bar, all wrapped into one. Mostly vegan, all vegetarian, this place has an entree menu if everything under the sun, the pastries are incredible, and the service is top notch. Very homey atmosphere and open seating. Vegan Queso, Apple Cemita, Vegan Rellano (stuffed poblano), and Seitan Fish taco were all absolutely amazing, extremely filling but not greasy in anyway. You knew you were full, but there was still room for a donut. This is a must stop for everyone, not just vegans/vegetarians.
This place is sooo good! They have great Mexican food, sandwiches, and the bakery is just amazing. I also like that it's local and has been around for quite a while.
I have recently returned to the vegan lifestyle and feel lucky to have found this place. I was vegan in my 20’s in the 90’s. This place reminds me of those days when I lived in Oregon. I love the huge variety. Coming back here often from now on.
An Austin classic!! So glad to finally have the chance to try their food. This is a legendary place for Texas vegans! We only had time to get breakfast to go. But, there are so many options and everything we tried was amazing. The staff was very helpful. Muffins and Empanadas were top notch. Look forward to eating there on our next trip.
Yummmmm Fooooood: got the vegan steak sandwich which was delicious and filling. Obviously it doesn’t taste like steak (I don’t think I even ate steak when I wasn’t vegan though so who am I to judge). It resembles a vegan friend chicken sandwich more tbh, but i don’t care and it was yummy. Also got a vegan fried cinnamon sugar donut twist to go and it was so delicious. I’m a donut junkie, always searching for a vegan yeast cinnamon sugar donut and this hit the spot. Simple, sweet, perfect. It’s a really good thing I don’t live close enough to walk and I hate driving because I’d end up getting a baked good here every day. Parking: easy lot behind the building. I think I visited during a not busy time but had more than like 3 spots and it’s always nice not to have anxiety over this bit. Seating: indoor and also some outdoor seating if you are brave during these 90-100 degree weather days.
My favorite tres leches everrrrrr, I can’t get enough of it! All my cakes for bdays are from here, I love that they are vegan and also can be sugar free! I appreciate that you can just get vegan cakes to go without ordering ahead if needed. They are just there available for grabs. Also the flautas are amazing. Love love love all the food from here. 💕💕💕💕
Mr. Natural has been doing veg in Austin since 1988 and it was honestly refreshing to visit a vegetarian spot that harkened back to a time when the dining format was as unique in a veggie restaurant as it was to find one at all. Point being there is a little learning curve to dining at Mr. Natural in my opinion. You order at the counter, which is the same order spot for baked goods (which are in three different locations), take out, dine in, juice, grab n go or soft serve. So you need to know what you want (definitely preview the menu online) before you step up to the counter and what your objective is. The staff is very, very helpful and will explain the salad bar (which is a whole other thing) and the validated parking situation (which is another). If you get stuff to dine-in, staff will bring it out and call out your name. They will bring silverware but you are on your own to retrieve water (by the salad bar). The other interesting throwback I am more thankful for is the food. Almost everything is made in house and is not overly sweet or salty. In this day and age of frozen beyond burger restaurants I could not have been happier. The mole enchiladas were excellent and I bought waaaay too many baked goods to go. I did not realize beforehand that Mr. Natural had the widest and best selection of vegan baked goods in the Austin area with many gluten free options and beautiful custom cakes! This place will go in my regular rotation and I highly recommend it for a breakfast option. *dog friendly patio
Been here a few times and love it! The food is great, but I FINALLY tried the vegan desserts, and it is out of this world! We got the confetti cupcake, the chocolate Tres leches, and the coconut cake. My favorites were the coconut cake and the confetti cupcake. There is something about the frosting that is just so delicious! Can't wait to come back and try the other desserts here
BEST gluten-free and dairy free deserts out there. Absolutely delicious. Trust me I’ve had my share and these are my all time favorite. The chocolate chip cookies are a must try. Every time I come into Austin, I have to stop to pick up some sweet treats. Pro tip: microwave the cookie for like 5-10 seconds if you like them to be a bit softer.
I've been coming to Mr natural since I moved here 8+ years ago, and it remains one of my favorite spots to eat. I'm vegan, and most things on the menu are or can be made vegan (everything is at least vegetarian though). The vegan east side tacos are my go-to, as well as the vegan jalapeno kolaches. Also love their vegan tres leches! Honestly everything is SO good and the fully vegan bakery is a beautiful touch. Mr Natural is an Austin staple not just for the food, but for the community impact as well. The owner will sometimes speak/cook at events, which is always a great experience. A true gem of Austin (whether you're plant-based or not), please go visit!
There is some parking out front, just a matter of waiting for a spot to open up. There are so many options here. I went with the tamale plate. The food was flavorful and filling. I enjoyed the sauce that was included, I only wish there was more of it! Really got excited to see SO many options for authentic Mexican pastries. I did find it to be a little pricey. Service was great!
Fun spot that Preservation Austin Legacy Businesses brought us to. We got a donut and pumpkin scones, they were both moist and flavorful, all while being affordable. Would love to come back and try the coffee and other pastries!
I can gush forever on this vegan and vegetarian restaurant. Every meal over the last year has been delicious and filling. Today I had a "fish" taco, mole fries, and lemon madeleines. I took home a couple day-old cranberry scones for $2.70. They have full cases of vegan and GF cakes, muffins, cookies and other pastries. Every plate is made-to-order, so you will wait for a few minutes depending on your order and number of people in your party, but the wait is worthwhile. Update! Enjoyed a large horchata and tiramisu cake cup on their patio. My SO got the hibiscus tea. Also I've featured their case of full-size cakes for your next celebration. Update 2! Told ya I can gush on this place. Drip coffee in an actual cute coffee cup. Today they had a mountain of pastries that will be posted on Too Good To Go if they don't sell out today.
I came in for my free slice of cake for my birthday. Tried out 2 different menu items I haven't had before. The carrot cake is my #1 favorite its why I came the first time years ago. The bread here was so good we bought 2 loaves. Its made in house fresh daily for there sandwhiches. The energy salad is so good this was the perfect meal after a nice morning walk. My mom and I split the salad and sandwhich and took the cake slice for later. We even stopped by the store for some other items such as the granola and pumpkin seeds for salads at home.
Perfect restaurant if you're looking for delicious healthy food to eat. Vegetarian and plant based options. The plate I have are a few optikns from the lunch buffet. Atmosphere is calm and the staff is very nice. I'm an Austin native that grew up on 3rd st and have had the pleasure of eating here many times throughout the years and it had always been great!
Mr. Natural was our favorite place to go during a week stay in Austin. We had dinner, vegan brunch on Friday and Vegan brunch buffet on Sunday April 7th. Our favorite were vegan tx queso, Thai tea soft serve, french toast, black forest cake, Thai yellow curry, spring rolls, mango and sticky rice, most were from buffet but vegan tx queso is on regular menu. We didn't really care for enchilada but they let us try three different filling in each of them. And I think if we ordered with wheat tortilla it might have been better because we just don't really care for corn tortillas. Staff are very helpful even though some doesn't speak English. Oh and their refried beans is the best! very flavorful and cooked well.
Mr. Natural has some of the best vegan food I have had in Austin. They are a diamond in the rough and deserve to be checked out by vegans and non-vegans! Their East side taco is easily one of the best tacos I've ever had and may actually be the best taco in Austin. Their baked goods are fantastic and should not be missed if you're there. The building is a very quiant Austin eclectic vibe and is so cool to hang out in. Also the manager is super friendly and pretty much loves everyone. They take care of their customers here, I once accidentally ordered the wrong tacos ($30) worth, and they exchanged them out for the tacos I actually wanted, at no charge. Don't sleep on Mr. Natural, this place rocks.
This place better exist in Austin forever. It is the epitome of what’s good about this city. Been coming here for years and the food is incredible - breakfast AND bakery treats that you can’t go wrong with. But it’s the people who work here that make it what it is. They’re friendly, conscientious and just genuinely seem proud of this place. They should be.
Oh my! I completely messed up my order day, and thought I was going to have to show up to my Friendsgiving with no strawberry shortcake. 🍰😭 But one of the staff members noticed I hadn’t picked it up…and called me…and CAME IN DURING WHEN THE STORE WAS CLOSED, just so I could pick up my item. 🥺😍🥲🥰🥰🥰 NOTE: I would not count on this kind of service; it was likely rare. 💎 But the mere fact that they offered to do this for me made me a forever, customer and fan! 🙏🏼🙃🩷
Mr. Natural is amazing. They have the best vegan baked goods in town. Every time we have a special occasion, I pick up one of their vegan cakes and they are always delicious. Their food and drinks are amazing too. I love the tacos, the BLT and the spinach pineapple agave drink. This place is a staple in the community and I’m so grateful for them. LOVE YOU MR NATURAL.
We landed here kind of accidentally after we discovered the food trucks were not open on Monday. What a treat! I had the vegan migas and they were the best I have had! The bakery goods looked amazing, but I was stuffed. Great service and amazing food. Would not hesitate to bring omnivores to Mr. Natural for a meal.
In January 2026, we were running late to my daughter’s birthday dinner, and I still needed to pick up her cake from Mr. Natural. Their vegan tiramisu is a family tradition. I suddenly remembered that delivery was an option, so I called. I was told there would be a $15 charge—no problem. A few minutes later, they called me back to say that since the restaurant was close, there would be no charge. We arrived after the cake had already been delivered, so I didn’t get the chance to thank or tip the person who brought it. Maybe he’ll see this post and know how much his kindness and service were appreciated. 💛
Been a favorite spot for years, menu has a lot of options and good serving sizes, great quality food mostly vegan and vegetarian options, they also have baked goods and cakes which are as good as any in all of Austin. Its worth coming for really good lunch or even just for baked goods or ordering a vegan or gluten free cake from them for a birthday.
Just FYI, parking is for customers only. You'll be asked to give your license plate when ordering. You can not go wrong with an order of Texas sized pancakes! I will make the drive to Mr. Natural because they offer many items for those with dietary requirements and menu customizations are not an issue. The bakery items I've ordered were scrumptious. I'm a regular now.
Hands down the best vegan pastries I've ever had. The flavors took me back to my childhood. Very authentic! Coffee was very hot and fresh! Very nice counter service.
Delicious food and tons of vegan options, vegetarian and even some gluten free ones. The Mendoza family are both neighborhood and city pillars, so please support them!
This was my first time trying a healthy Mexican food restaurant. It has a very healthy vibe. And although I was tentative at first, I really enjoyed my food, and I definitely felt nourished. I am glad I paid a visit and will visit again once I return to Austin. The food is worth trying and the all you can eat salad bar is worth the visit alone.
It was our first time coming here and we tried everything! We got the chips, queso and salsa, fried “fish” taco, “beef” mole enchiladas with rice and beans, a breakfast bagel, and a bunch of cake and fresh pastries! Everything was vegan, and all of it was wonderful. It’s really hard to find places that cater to vegans and vegetarians that is also this delicious! The staff were also so friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to come back! Thank you Mr. Natural WE <3 U.
Absolutely incredible experience at Mr. Natural Vegan Bakery. Every single item I tried was outstanding. The concha was soft, flavorful, and perfectly sweet, the café de olla was rich, aromatic, and comforting, the brownie donuts were decadent and moist, and the Bavarian cone was next-level. Easily one of the best vegan desserts I’ve ever had. You would never guess this place is vegan because the flavors, textures, and quality are all phenomenal. On top of that, the customer service was extremely friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. This bakery is a must-visit whether you’re vegan or not. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to everyone I know.
So grateful for this gem. We love their frozen tamales and gluten free baked goods. I think their vegetarian meals are so good as well- both from the line and made to order. The staff helped me open the door as I wheeled my mom in by wheelchair. The family who owns this store are authentic and kind people.
Mr. Natural supplied two cakes for my wedding. Their process of quick and easy. The price was right and the cakes tasted and looked wonderful. My guests were excited and happy to devour them. If you need and egg-less or vegan cake, there is not other choice in Austin!
Servers are so kind. The general atmosphere is cozy. They also serve espresso drinks. I could totally work on a laptop here. The holy moly enchiladas are incredible. The unlimited salad bar is extensive. I’m finding myself coming back here regularly! I would get agua fresca all the time if it was 1/4th the sweetness. Oh their homemade wheat tortillas are soo good.
I go for the baked goods. Haven't eaten the food or spent time in the dining area yet, but it sure looks like they know what they are doing. My son has lots of food allergies and he had his first vegan donut. I had one as well (mine was a Boston Creme) and couldn't believe it was vegan. Yum!!
Paola is the best. I only go when she's there. The place has such an amazing selection of food. I love that they have all day breakfast. The fact that i can eat at a restaurant, pick up a pastry & buy some food for home all in one place is amazing. It's all local & delicious & healthy. Not to mention how cool it is that it's vegan too. Paola is amazing though. She's so friendly & gives really great table service. I love all the suggestions she gave & she made me feel really welcomed. I'm so glad she's there
Beautiful local restaurant that has the best food for dietary restrictions! I enjoy the migas (traditional) taco, but they also have a vegan migas that tastes just as good! The vegan queso is a tasty treat! Plenty of baked sweets that are mostly gluten free and vegan! As a celiac I know I can enjoy gluten free food here without the worry of cross contact
Every time I come to Mr. Natural, it puts the biggest grin on my face. The employees are so genuine, and the energy makes it a place I always yearn to come back to. From the bakery to the full menu of Mexican food, it’s one of those rare spots that feels both creative and comforting. They use ingredients anyone can work with at home, so eating here feels inspiring — a kind of stimulation-to-simulation that makes you want to carry the flavors forward. The buffet is stacked with variety: tamales, toppings, stuffings, and a full salad bar. It’s like an endless menu of ideas, all swirling together with the natural life we live in. What a place to experience — Mr. Natural really is something special. .
If you are a vegan in Austin, Mr. Natural is a must try! The staff was super kind and had excellent recommendations. Additionally the interior was spacious with a nice dining experience. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and all those interested in amazing food make sure to stop by! (P.S. try the bakery section 🎉)
You ought to check this place, if you are a vegan food lover. From Baked to Bakery to raw vegetarian food spices to frozen items - you have plenty of items to choose to your cravings and enjoy them. The place looks simple and down to earth, but that only stops on the looks. Once you taste the food, you will realize how good it is. Great people, great food, a very good finding for us today.
Mr. Natural is a treasure for vegan Mexican food lovers! Their fish tacos, enchiladas, and tamales are fantastic, and the vegan pastries, cookies, and empanadas are just as impressive. As someone who grew up eating traditional Mexican food, I’m thrilled to have a spot that serves plant-based versions of my favorites. The only thing I’d suggest is updating the interior for a cozier, more inviting atmosphere. Adding a bar with drinks would be a great touch, too. Can’t wait to try their catering for my next family gathering!
My weekly go-to place; the food, service, and atmosphere makes it feels like home. Food is a bit on the pricier end and worth the splurge every so often. There’s one item that’s not pictured, by the time i remember to take a photo that’s joint is gone. (Yes it’s that good). That is the Vegan Fish Wrap.
It's such a delight to see vegetarian/vegan Eatery that serves everything like Mexican food, soup, salad, cakes, fresh salad. And coffee too! They have Gluten Free food items as well. The place is very clean and quiet. It's also very huge. I ordered Tamale, Chilaquiles, Fries and fresh Carrot/Apple/Ginger juice for dine-in. Very tasty. For To go, I ordered, Red velvet cup cake and pineapple/Carrot Muffin which i yet to taste. Moreso they open early at 8am. This is going to be my go to place in Austin.
So I was trying to find a bakery that could do vegan for my birthday. This was the only place I could find that didn't have items that were manufactured on equipment that had been used with milk or whey products. A lot of times people say that it is vegan but when you ask about where the product supplies come from it will often be on equipment that has also been shared to manufacture dairy or milk or other animal by-products. They were so great at Mr Natural they even called the supplier to check and see for the gluten-free vegan cupcakes if they were manufactured on shared dairy lines which I really appreciated because it can be hard to find and verify authentically vegan desserts. The lady was really nice about checking to and took the time to make sure for me, which I also really appreciated. I will definitely be going back!🙂 I also really like the red velvet cupcake, which I included a picture of. The regular gluten-free vegan birthday cupcakes were good as well. Also, I couldn't believe that they were able to do the vegan sprinkles as well. This is definitely my new favorite Bakery spot. Also, this is a family-owned business, and I really enjoy supporting that, and they have been here for over 30 years. Highly recommend, especially if you are looking for authentically vegan options. 👍💪
Love the cake. I really enjoy their cake. I wish they offer more custom design for the cake. Beside the cake, I like the tamales, empanadas (love the savory ones) and the bake goods. Let’s not forget enchiladas, I don’t remember which one I had, but that was my first time had enchiladas and I’m hooked. Going there only when ordering birthday cake, and treat myself a lunch there.
During our visit from out of town, this restaurant quickly became a favorite. The vegetarian Mexican food was solid, and the ambiance was peaceful, with friendly staff. Our orders were quickly taken, and there was minimal wait for our food. The portions were reasonably sized for the price. We also had some gluten-free donuts, which were surprisingly good (gluten-free can be hit or miss). Highlights from our meal included the mole enchiladas, vegan enchiladas, and flautas. Definitely worth a visit!
A must-visit for vegans in Austin. They have plentiful gluten free options for any time of day and their entire dessert selection is vegan and DELICIOUS. The environment is relaxed and you can easily spend hours here without feeling rushed at all. So happy I found this place. A hidden gem!
I have been wanting to try Mr. Natural since I pass the two locations quite often. It was great because I was craving tamales and they have vegan options! There is so much to choose from and I loved it. Great hippie and free vibes in the restaurant. The dessert was also spectacular. They have vegan tres leches which was delish. The only reason I give them four stars is because of service and it could have been a little cleaner. But all in all, I want more cake.
Overall I really liked this place. Their vegan GF bakery is totally worth the visit. I loved their vegan fish taco! I was not as impressed with the Raja taco, it could be better. However I cook most of my food and perhaps just see how it can be better. Great hidden gem! Reasonable prices, casual, awesome bakery, must check out.
Im a sucker for soft serve! This is soy based. It’s okay a little icy, not overly sweet. They were out of vanilla (which is supreme). We may have accidentally gotten a generous portion. Really friendly staff. Many GF items. A nice bakery case with lots of options. Cakes! 10 stars to the polvorones. Mexican wedding cookies. gf. Melt in your mouth. Addictive. Dangerous. I don’t have a sweet tooth yet wanted to eat the whole box. Please sell them online and ship, Mr natural. We were coated in delectable powdered sugar after lol. We went to the health shop next door. Wide array of health ingredients. The friendliest staff!
Great place, food is good. Please be aware that gluten free pastries are not celiac friendly. I ask and they told me gluten free pastries are made in the same oven and stored together with gluten items. If you are celiac as mee I think is important that you know this to avoid a rough time. Stay safe!
Made two custom cakes last year. Wedding cake was not good, gave another chance for baby shower cake and it tasted like bubblegum instead of the strawberry flavor I asked for. I am disappointed every time I customize a cake. However, they’re ready to order cakes are really good, other bakery items. I just don’t understand why they can’t get custom orders correct or taste decent. My guests will now always expect a nasty vegan cake from my functions. Daughters 1st birthday cake is coming up and instead of customizing her cake I’ll just order their ready made cakes unfortunately..
First day with Alex was awesome he was respectful and completely knowledgeable The 2nd day at herbal counter was incredibly weird for me- I usually get my Herbs; for past 40 years at the Herb Bar- and the woman was rude, argumentative with schistey energy- when I told her to take the bags as I needed perscisce measurements- she was belligerent and condescending. Alex however knows his stuff and complete opposite- knowing the herbs and having a respect for them. If you come to the Herbal department; request Alex, unless you like people putting their hands on your herbs and complaining about giving your requests on giving whatbyou pay for. ...Or go to the Herb Bar; on Merrielynn now- a ways up north; and a little extra- but where the women respect their herbs as well as their customers; don't cross contaminate, or grossly touch your herbs, and know what they're talking about
Ppl won’t like me for this but this review is specifically for GLUTEN FREE ppl who also need vegan or EGG FREE pan Dulce or desserts/pastries. I’ve been hitting up these guys for near a decade for their food, but more so their Mexican pastries. They do have tons of vegan options and a pretty decent variety of gf. Starting with the cookies that arent fresh and they usually always have packaged right when you walk in are the two different types of pan de polvo. The powdered one tasted more traditional but still off, and the price was very steep ($12). The grossest thing tho was asking abt the shelf life;the girl @counter told me they last a very long time and don’t really expire. Escue mi señorita? The heart shaped cookies they have on the counter for Vday are pretty tasty and seem to be fresher. They always have some day old things on the counter @ 1/2 price and for the most part things I’ve selected have been tasty and still fresh enough. However this last time I went in, I picked the cupcakes, red velvet and confetti, as well as regular priced goodies :a pumpkin empanada ($6) and choc. Chip scone. When I tell you these were all absolutely horrible, that is an understatement. The cupcakes were so dry and crumbly I couldn’t eat more than a bite, had to give the rest to my dog and throw away the other ones. The empanada tasted like it was more than a day old and was extremely dry w/the pumpkin being gooey like it was fermenting. The scone I forced myself to eat but just had this weird flavor to it. This was the first time I’ve been this grossed out over my purchase of pan Dulce from them. I have stayed away from their regular food bc it never tasted good to me. Their tamales are hit or miss but decent if you’re vegan and don’t have any other options. But this….unacceptable at the prices they charge. I know there’s practically NO option here for good vegan &/or gf pan Dulce pero this isn’t it.
I am extremely disappointed in Mr. Natural. I had them make my wedding cake since I’m lactose intolerant, and I wanted to enjoy my cake without the repercussions of consuming dairy. First, the cake was delivered 3 hours late after I spent $255 on delivery. Second, the cake was NOT the design we discussed. I was given a mediocre-half-built cake. Third, the middle tier was not the flavor we selected. I asked for a lavender cake with a creamy lemon custard, we were given lavender cake with a kind of lemon pudding with pieces of lemon in it. We tasted the cakes beforehand and what we were served was not what was presented at tasting. Jesus checked with me the day before to make sure he had the delivery time right then the day of claimed my wedding was three hours after the time he confirmed the day before. He said he would get with me the day after the wedding to talk compensation and he never messaged me. I had to message him days later, when I got back from my honeymoon. He said he would refund my delivery fee and when I asked for more than that he did not message me back. I do not recommend using this store for a wedding/big event cake. If you need a vegan cake go down the street to Capital City Bakery. Photos attached are a drawing Jesus did of what the cake would look like and the picture is the cake he left me with.
We ordered an entree and 2 slices of cake, and the cake was MOLDY. I would attach a picture, but just thinking about the moldy cake makes me feel violently sick. I will never order from here again. It’s sad, because I actually enjoyed the entree. God knows how many days or weeks ago their pastries were made. Beware!
I stopped to cool off after work and was thrown out due to “if you’re not ordering something then leave” no attempt to offer me any deals or suggest anything. Ive eaten here before so I was debating a coffee. ( I will never step foot in this place again .) I would’ve taken a suggestion for something to buy to drink because i was so flushed and hot I felt like i was gonna pass out. I needed a second to collect myself from the heat and was only met with an aggravated tone and annoyance, only to be asked to leave and given the feeling that they didn’t want me there simply bc I wasn’t looking at the menu. Doesn’t seem like they want anyone there then bc it was dead. I work for the city and that just sucks that there’s businesses that genuinely don’t care about the well being of PEOPLE. Even something as simple as water and shelter, we offer people within the city. Wasn’t asking you to give me everything on the menu for free. Just simply shelter. This business does not care for people. But money. And that sucks. Especially since you’re a health store. Good to know where yall stand within humanity at this time. “The manager said ——“ your manager is what’s causing no one to come in at all. The stores been the same for idek how many decades. We’re evolving. No one cares for a business that doesn’t do the bare minimum morally. Especially in times like this. I can’t wait for yall to go out of business. Your brand about importance of health and not prioritizing the needs of humans is hypocritical. I hope your workers can find some work after this when you get bought out.
