This place has amazing food EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS!!!! The bar tender and staff were nice and this place has really good drinks!!!! I would highly recommend this place!!!!!!

Chalmers is everything you want in a sports bar and then some. The vibe hits the sweet spot—energetic for big games without being chaotic, with plenty of screens, clear audio, and sightlines so you never miss a play. The menu nails the game-day essentials (the wings and burgers are legit), and the bar delivers strong, consistent pours with a solid mix of local beers and classic cocktails. Shoutout to manager Nick, who sets the tone for the whole place. He’s visible, welcoming, and dialed in—checking on tables, remembering regulars, and making sure groups get settled quickly even on packed nights. You can feel the difference in the service: the staff is friendly, fast, and attentive without hovering, and the food and drinks land at the table just when you want them. Whether you’re rolling in for a playoff run, a college rivalry, or just a casual weeknight, Chalmers makes it easy to relax, cheer, and eat well. Consistently great atmosphere, consistently great service. Five stars.

Always a good time at Chalmers. The vibe is great, especially now that it’s getting colder and the fire pits make it really cozy. Joseph, the doorman, is always chill and in a good mood, which just adds to the experience. Definitely a spot I enjoy coming back to.

Good place to get a drink with some friends and watch a game. Bar staff were excellent. They have a taco truck and a BBQ joint, unfortunately the bbq joint was closed on the day me and some friends went to watch the World Series, so we ate at the taco truck (which was slightly over priced in my opinion).

Really cool sports bar, incredibly cheap happy hour specials, and some of the best tacos you'll ever have at Discada. Plus they actually have a parking lot, a rarity in this part of town.

Super fun place to watch sport's games on television. Very large place with tons of TVs and seating. Food is really good. Bartenders are friendly as are the crowd of patrons. Can't wait to go back!

I’ve lived in Austin 10 years and seen several bars come and go. I can say that Chalmers is more than just a bar - it’s an homage to what makes Austin so amazing. The staff (Tyler, Sean, Nigel, Ana) are what make this place so great. The owner is a very genuine guy as well, always focused on the customer. This place checks every box, atmosphere, great food, top shelf staff.

There’s seating for days, inside, outside, under string lights, next to dudes yelling about fantasy football trades. The drink selection? Legit. Cold beers, cocktails that don’t taste like regret, and a bar staff that actually remembers your name after one visit. There’s a food truck outside serving tacos that are mini in size but gargantuan in flavor. Like, flavor so big it should have its own zip code. Whether you’re posted up watching the game with the boys or trying to look effortlessly cool on a date, Chalmers delivers. Pro tip: Bring stretchy pants.

Stopped in here for lunch the other day. Need to come back in the evening for the full experience because I can imagine this place being a fun scene. This place is MASSIVE. I think they said it sits on two acres with space still being developed for use. The sandwich I got was pretty good. Fries were ok. I would come back again for some beers.

Update: taco fry bread was not this salty. Rice balls were good. Drinks good per usual! Saltyyyyy steak fry bread that was very disappointing (my husband likes salty things and even this was way too much), frozen dirty shirley was good and would get again, the zombie has is mezcal which I didn’t love (wasted it). Lots of outdoors TVs and a small inside space with AC. Pretty loud inside despite not seating a ton of people. Cool spot and hope to see some improvements as the location is great!

I liked that you can order from your table via QR code and pickup on the side of the bar when ready vs standing in a line. The star of the show was the bacon wrapped shrimp, we almost ordered another! Didn’t get a picture because we were starving but definitely recommend.

If I were a younger man (68), this place would be perfect for me to meet new and vibrant people. But now that I'm at a certain age, I lead a more sedate lifestyle.

If your looking for a place to drink and be social this is the spot. Drinks aren't bad its the perfect spot for younger crowd. You order from an app or qr code. You pick up your own drinks and food at either the side bar or outside window. No real communication with an actual person for food or drinks. We stopped in for a drink and to try out whatever food they had. I had the mojito it was a decent drink. The wings were good the BLT was alright it would have been better with decent lettuce. The fries were like wack arnold fries aka mac donalds. Crinkle cut fries would be my choice of fries there was way to many on my plate which just went to waste. The burger is just like wack Arnold's quarter pounder. Not our kind of burger we like veggies on ours. So if you want to just drink and be social and are ok with mediocre food and no actual food or drinks service in person then this spot is for you. I prefer to communicate with a server or bar tender but thats my choice.

I’ve been here multiple times, but today’s experience was very different. I ordered an Aperol Spritz from the happy hour menu and paid, but when I looked at the receipt I realized the bartender had charged me the full price. When I asked him about it, he said he thought I meant their Paloma Aperol Spritz, which isn’t included in the happy hour menu. I didn’t appreciate being charged for a different drink based on that assumption, especially since I clearly said I wanted the Aperol Spritz and not the Paloma version. On top of that, the bartender wasn’t particularly friendly from the start, which made the interaction even more frustrating.

On December 23, 2025 I walked into this establishment hoping to purchase ribs from Rollin Smoke BBQ, as I rang the bell for service, I was greeted by unfriendly, unhelpful, unprofessional and rude staff employee at Chalmers , he stated they were closed and open on Tuesdays, then he made a comment; stating I could go down the street for tacos. I questioned why would I go down the street for tacos, when I was there to buy BBQ., he shrugged his shoulders and walked away.
