Super wacky vibe with really good lamps and so many plants! We got the hibiscus latte and rosemary matcha which were funky! Also the service was really quick :)

This place is right out of Woodstock, but add some soul brother Sly and the Family Sfone vibes, thirty stained glass lamps, a huge fish tank, and communal joy. It's unpretentious, funky, quirky, non-alcoholic with amazing herbal and root beverages, delicious coffees and vegan pastries. The baristas are adorable and kind, and it's a great space to read or talk to other quirky folks. A new favorite spot of mine. Good vibes only!

Kosmic Community Anti Bar & Coffee Shop is run by James & Grace. James is the kind of guy who’s always updating the artistic, warm vibe of the place, and he’s super handsome and kind. We definitely need that! As for Grace, she’s an absolute legend who keeps the whole shop running smoothly. What she says? Never wrong! And did we mention, she’s stunning? You’ve got to try her hot chocolate!!! And don’t forget – there’s a whole range of vegan desserts like cakes, cupcakes, and tiramisu to choose from too! The whole team? Perfect. Every single one of them. And the best part? The customers here are just as cool. You’ll find a mix of people from all walks of life, and no matter who you are, you’ll feel at home. Trust me, you’ll get it after a few visits! Come see for yourself!

Right when I walked in I knew this place was special. I’m not drinking currently in nyc, which leaves me with little options to do in this city where drinking culture revolves around everywhere. I could immediately sense the community aspect when I sat down and how friendly everyone was. Grace, James, and Eden all made our night so special and I felt very relaxed there. I got the chai tea with golden milk and it was delicious. Grace said she simmers her chai 24-36 hours I think and you can taste the rich flavors. We also tried 3 of the vegan desserts including cake, a brownie, and a scone and all good! I will certainly be back! Thanks!

loved the concept, the drinks and the interior of the cafe. as someone who doesn’t drink, i thought it was so fun that it looked like a bar and also had the vibes of a bar but serves cafe and non-alcoholic beverages. i tried the white chocolate macadamia matcha and really enjoyed it. can’t wait to come back to try more of their drinks.

This place is amazing, so relaxing and definitely a great addition to the neighborhood. The owners are so kind and really offer so many great selections of non alcoholic beverages. They also offer gf and vegan pastries. 10/10 go and enjoy yourself here. it’s hella beautiful too and a great place to work from, hang out at or stay til late!

Kosmic Community Anti Bar & Coffee Shop is one of those spots that just gets it. The drinks? Next-level good. Flavorful, unique, and they can even make them without sugar, which is a big win if you’re trying to be mindful of what you’re drinking. But honestly, what makes this place stand out is the service and the vibe. The people here are so genuine — it’s like they actually want you to be there (which isn’t as common as it should be). They’re friendly, thoughtful, and they make you feel like more than just a customer. The community atmosphere is what keeps me coming back. It’s not just a spot to grab a drink — it’s a space where you can chill, connect, and just be. If you’re looking for good drinks, good people, and good energy, Kosmic is it.

Kosmic was one of my favorites when I lived in the city! Gino, Kat, Grace, James, Maya, Maddie are the nicest and the best at making drinks. (So are the other baristas, I just can’t remember their names right now haha) The decor is so beautiful, and overall the place is very vibey. Bonus points for having an all vegan menu! As a certified tea snob™️, the tea is PERFECT!

We loved the hot chocolate we got here! They were huge and loaded 😋 the vibe of this place is also very chill & cool. We went around Halloween and they were watching scary movies in the back where they have chairs, couches, and rugs. This place definitely has the vibe where people become regulars and hang out there often. Wish it was closer to where I live so I could visit more often. This is a sober bar with vegan snacks, which I love & can’t wait to go back and try more of their food/drinks!

We had some great hot chocolates. They use monk fruit in the homemade syrup! Pretty guilt free. Fun place! Will totally like to return!

Love this place. Such a great chill vibe to have a coffee and relax. Everyone seems to become super friendly as soon as they walk in the door. Met 4 people in a few minutes. Great staff. Love the decorations and how comfortable it is. Fish tank is super fun to stare at. Favorite coffee shop in the East Village, maybe the city.

A terrific place! Impeccable vibes! There are so few non-alcoholic spaces that are also open late, but even beyond that Kosmic stands on its own as a gathering place. I went out of my way to try this place out, 100% worth it. They have such interesting drinks (plus your coffee shop favorites) with new ones added seasonally. James and Eden are cool people. I appreciate what they are and looking forward to going back.

Don't be deceived by the atmosphere outside. Once you enter, it's truly a hidden gem. Open late, non alcoholic drinks, free mortal kombat, awesome decor, what more can one ask??!! Oh yes, the drinks are delicious too!

Exploring Meerkats

We popped in for a few minutes by chance. The woman tending the bar was friendly and welcoming. The space feels warm and welcoming to someone who doesn't live/work in this neighborhood. Live fish behind the bar, a phone booth, small outdoor space in the rear and seating along the front. Don't forget the emotional support mushrooms. Definitely plan to go back and spend some time in the future.

Loved the vibe of this place and the fact that they had vegan and gluten free goodies! Would I pay $8.50 for a plain matcha latte with almond milk again…probably not. But the pumpkin cheesecake scone was yum!

I’ve been coming to this place since they opened up. Every time I’m in the neighborhood I like to stop by. When I’m here the chill environment and attitude feel like an oasis. Whether tasty cafe drinks during the day…. or a nice non-alcoholic hang out spot at night this has been an amazing addition to the neighborhood.

One of the most most inviting and welcoming spaces in LES! I was grateful to have met the founders/owners and this bar represents their authentic and genuine spirits. Everything was hand built by them so there is a lot of TLC. They’ve created a community and a space for any to come by and try Kava, drink coffee, or have an other refreshment. I have only ever met excellent openminded individuals here. High quality people in a high quality place. It’s the best!

Came in on a whim. It was a Friday afternoon, so not busy. The staff were helpful in helping us pick out some drinks and were attentive in just the right amount. The atmosphere is eclectic and fun - wherever you look, there's something! I can see this as a fun hangout on the weekends, even being an anti-bar. It's nice to have a non-alcoholic environment as a warm "third place." I will definitely be back on future NYC trips.

kosmic is my third place. i come here most weekdays to work and have gotten to know the staff and community. it's a place where i feel welcome, where others are kind, and is a safe space for people to be themselves. food is all vegan, drinks are creative and wonderful and it's a cozy one-of-a-kind spot. ive met incredible people by "working" here and am grateful it's also the closest coffee shop to me. thank you james and grace for creating this space.

Absolutely love this place. Such a great, welcoming vibe to just hang out and connect. The decor is amazing, the staff are fantastic, even the people that go there seem cooler than the average New Yorker. It's so refreshing to have a spot that's focused on being social without the pressure to drink. If you have a bad time here, you're doing something wrong.

I really really wanted to give this place 5/5 stars but I just can’t based on pricing. The vibes here are great, the staff talk to you like a human being and often even more like a friend. You see regulars coming in and treating the place like their family home which adds to the coziness. The drinks are fantastic and creative (haven’t had the food). But they are overpriced enough that I cannot in my right mind give this place 5/5 stars. Everything is priced like it’s an alcoholic drink, but alcohol is usually the most expensive part of a drink, and it’s not there in any of the drinks (by design). If money is not an issue, this place is great. But it’s not smart financially for many of the bohemian types that its decor and atmosphere celebrates.
