⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️THIS RESTAURANT IS FANTASTIC. In my opinion the is food fresh, and it comes out fast. It’s authentic Mexican food with quality ingredients, and the waiters and waitresses provide friendly quality service. I can’t believe someone gave this restaurant less than 5 stars but oh well, we’re all entitled to our food review opinions. If I lived closer I would eat here more often. I plan my dining visits here to coordinate with my Costco visits. I have never ever had a bad meal here. I wish the guacamole wasn’t so over processed/blended/smooth but hey it’s okay, it still tastes great. The margaritas and other alcohol drinks tastes great. The menu prices are fair. I highly recommend you give this restaurant a try.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
👍🤩💝🏆GO. YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED. I had a taste for Mexican food while visiting the Avon, Ohio area on business back in the summer of 2025. This one popped up so I took a chance. I have been meaning to post a review for a while. THEY SERVE DELICIOUS AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD. I am always seated immediately. I usually arrive around 3:30pm-5pm after a business meeting. It can get very busy if you arrive in the evening because I have seen people waiting to be seated as I leave when it’s closer to the “typical “dinner” hours. Every menu item I have tried, from the chips and salsa, the adult beverages, to the entrees, all have great flavor. Everything is perfectly seasoned and cooked properly. The only thing I think should be improved is the Guacamole. It has a great flavor BUT….it is “over mixed”, meaning it has a “whipped” / “baby food texture” (to me in my humble opinion), which for me, as a half Mexican, is a ‘turn off’ for me. I almost didn’t eat it because of the unappetizing texture….I’m sorry but it looks like baby food to me. The FLAVOR IS THERE though, so if you can get past the “baby food texture” you’ll love the taste of the guacamole. They also serve a guacamole cream type sauce with the beef QuesaBirria tacos. The birria tacos are awesome and the consume served with it is great too. It fills up quickly. The owner (I think he’s the owner) seems to be there daily or often. I have seen him talking to patrons and people who might be regular customers. Everyone is friendly. The food comes out pretty quickly and is plated nicely. So far I have been back to visit this restaurant every time I’m in town on business. My server is usually Daniel. He is always friendly and attentive. On a recent visit we had Allie / Alejandra as our waitress and she was equally as fantastic as Daniel. I have observed that people do bring their children. I love love love that the restaurant has plenty of equipment / accessories to accommodate baby car seats, and booster seats / high chairs for little kids to sit independently. ♿️The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. If you call from your car, they hold the doors open and will even come out to help you.💝 🅿️There are plenty of free parking spaces in the lot. 👍🏆KEEP WINNING. The consistency with quality service, quality ingredients, appropriate serving portions, good prices, clean and stocked bathrooms, clean and fresh smelling restaurant along with the friendly staff will keep me coming back. I wish this restaurant continued success and I hope the quality and great tasting food continues for decades to come after the owner retires.🙏💝
We came in there B4 Father's Day. Had a great experience. Everything was cooked well. Drinks were tasty. The outside patio is nice. Inside air conditioning is cool. The bathrooms were good size and clean. Glad we went, Can't wait to go back. Good job!)
We liked eating at Mesquite and we decided to have them cater our annual block party. Hugo the manager did an excellent job helping us determine the menu, and he made sure everything was ready for us to pick up on schedule. He and his staff provided excellent service and the food was phenomenal, and they gave us more than enough. Everyone at the party commented on how much they loved the food. We highly recommend Mesquite. Excellent food, reasonable prices and outstanding service. Thanks Hugo!
Went on a Saturday evening, it was packed out to the door, we asked for the wait time and they said 15 minutes and they said they'd text us. Got us in under 15 minutes later, order was placed and I swear the food came out just as fast as they got us in. We both got burritos and they were amazing, I got the burrito Baja (steak) and he got the burrito del mar (seafood). Crazy we had steak and seafood for under 50 bucks. We also tried the Mexican root beer and coke. Would highly recommend, fast and kind service from the waiter.

It's definitely a great experience all the way around. Our food was fresh and delicious. Our server was on point, very attentive, and very friendly. The atmosphere is good it's definitely not your typical Mexican restaurant.
One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to! Excellent portion sizes, wide variety of food, very well prepared meals, service was quick and attentive. Especially loved the tortilla soup! My veggie tacos were also excellent and my table mates raved about the quesadillas and pollo dishes.
Mexican food your thing…I found your spot! This place really surprised me. Causal looking from the outside, clean on inside and outstanding upscale food at the table. Large portions, hot, fresh and delicious. You’re getting great value here. Quality food at a reasonable price. Pleasant staff for the host, server and owner. Trust me, I’m picky when it comes to Mexican food. We loved this place.
Update: Returned already, this time for my step dad’s birthday! Amazing meal and incredible service! At the end of the meal, the team sang & brought out a delicious birthday treat for everyone! We didn’t even ask, they just overheard it was his birthday & did it! You don’t get customer service like this anymore… truly an incredible place! Thank you so much, Mezquite! Wonderful time! Service is amazing! Each employee was so kind & attentive! You need to try the guava margarita! The strawberry was good but the guava was the sweetest, juiciest margarita ever! I’m coming back to get one & sit on the patio next time! I ordered the veggie quesadilla & it was delicious! Very flavorful & filling! A must try place!
We have been wanting to try this newer restaurant for some time now and I’m glad we did!! I had the Pollo a la Crema and it was outstanding. This is the meal I always order when I go to a Mexican restaurant and is a great way to compare quality levels. All of our meals were high quality and the restaurant was impeccably clean. Staff were also friendly and helpful. Mezquite is a go to Mexican restaurant and we will be regulars now!
Not your typical Mexican restaurant. No brightly colored anything. This may be because the building was previously an IHOP and not redecorated. While all this may sound like criticism, it really is just the opposite. We found the atmosphere to be more relaxed allowing you to focus on your dinner partner and your meal. Intentional or not... It works for us. Service was excellent. Unrushed. We had drinks which were generous yet reasonably priced. The chips and salsa were fresh and tasty. Our questions about menu items were carefully explained making selecting new things for the meal a pleasure. The food was also excellent. It was hot, nicely presented and portions were generous. Will most definitely go back!
What a great place to eat!!! The food is amazing, the staff is super friendly and nice plus the place is always extra clean. They have the best selection of tequila I have ever seen, the specialty drinks are so good I love the mezcalita, with hibiscus! The seafood queso dip is outstanding, and the cochinita pibil is my favorite. Everything I have tried has been super yummy, make sure to check them out!
Super generous portions, on-point staff, really good food, and one of the nicest bathrooms I've ever been in (this is not a joke.) The Burrito Diabla took me 2 days to eat. I was so full on day 1, that it was painful getting back to my car. The Pablano Shrimp Tacos were good too. The Avacados were nice and fresh and the bacon really came through. Their Rice was good and their Beans actually had Pico in them which was good too. Chava took great care of us. A lot of places have the servers go up to a kiosk, enter their drinks, and then wait for the bartender to make it. Dude did it himself. Our chips were never empty. He was great.
Food was flavorful and, as usual with Mexican restaurants, ample. Plan on taking food home. Our server was pleasant but took a long time to bring us our bill.
This was somehow better than what I ate in my last review of a different restaurant, despite it being the same order. The only complaint I have was that the food was extremely greasy.
First time here and the food was very good..! Brought my parents . My Dad got a burrito supreme, Mom got a chicken quesadilla w Yellow rice and I got the four enchiladas w white rice .. let’s just say the portions are plentiful stuffed with lots of meat..! Definitely will return..!
It was good for sure. Nothing crazy. Felt bad for the poor server who had the lady pronouncing the Ls in Quesadilla. Like who doesn’t know by now. He tried correcting her everytime
A Mexican restaurant, unlike any other! No bright colors, no loud decor, no drama or unnecessary fuss. The chips are crispy fresh, and the salsa is light and delicious. Service can be a bit slow, but the food helps one forget about that. The menu offers just the right number of options and prices, while up, are still somewhat reasonable.
Mesquite Mexican restaurant is quite an asset to Avon Commons, serving up delicious Mexican cuisine. Their menu boasts a vast selection of delicious Mexican dishes and awesome cocktails along with excellent table service! Enjoy pleasant Mexican music while dining. The service here was amazing. We were seated immediately on a Saturday night, and less than a minute after being seated chips and salsa were brought to us, followed by water. Our waiter wasn't far behind to take our drink order. I had the steak fajita quesadilla which was mouth watering good. I loved it and couldn't ask for anything better. My girlfriend, however, ordered a taco salad that was utterly disgusting. It had the consistency of baby food. It was like they used the shredded lettuce for tacos for their salad and it neither looked nor tasted good. The dish was nauseating (I tried a bite) and she couldn't even finish it, it was that bad. It's a shame, because the atmosphere price and location are great. We would go back if it were not for that poor excuse of a meal she ordered.
