Always pass by this place but have never stopped, so today we decided to get dinner. Place is clean...smells good...lots of tables to sit inside and outside...food looked and tastes good...Lady had really good customer service...hooked it up with the food she couldn't even close the tray.

I spent a good long while in line because this place is so popular. It's one of those Chinese places where they stuff the box so full that by the time I got full I still had more leftover than if I had ordered a fresh meal from panda Express!

As I write this review I am enjoying some of the most delicious Chinese takeout food I have ever had. The orange chicken is cooked perfectly. It's is flavorful and the sauce has the perfect balance of heat and sweet. This is not your normal orange chicken. The chow mien is good also. Garlicky and salty but not overly. The service was top notch ever though the line stretched out the door for most of my visit. Quick, friendly and efficient. Price was good for the portion and quality. I pass MULTIPLE other places for Mr. You's. Did I mention they have an A rating. They don't need your business you need theirs, trust me.

Therea was soooo amazing! Despite having hundreds of customers she was very kind and nice to me and took her time to explain what to order. Best service I’ve ever had in a quick take out restaurant. She made sure I didn’t forget my orange chicken fries and even threw in crab Rangoon and spring rolls when she heard it was my first time. Such amazing chinese food with massive portions and made freshly. Highly recommend coming here for the food and the service

I had to try this place after seeing a review on Instagram. It's a standard fast food, dine-in / take out urban Chinese food restaurant, located next to Stater Bros. Standard menu, very simple and easy to order. The meal platters are very affordable and the plates are stacked so high that one meal can literally serve 2 or 3 people depending on how much each person eats. I ordered the 2 sides combo with half rice and chow mein, with spicy orange chicken and vegetables. The food was falling over and impossible to eat in one sitting- it will last for 3 meals! It was late when I arrived so the chow mein was a little mushy, but it was so good. I also ordered the Spicy Orange Chicken Fries, which I did not see on the menu, but heard about it from the Instagram review. Three people ahead of me were also ordering these famous Orange Chicken Fries, so I was excited to see it being such a hit item. My goodness, let me tell you about these Fries- wow they are massive! I thought the fries were just tossed in the sauce, but NO - this is actually Orange Chicken and Fries mixed together. I was blown away with the combination of flavors. The spicy is not spicy at all because of the sweetness from the orange chicken sauce and I see why people love them. The food and service were really good. Both of these meals only cost me $30. I love Montclair and this place had a nice friendly vibe and I'd love to go back again to try the egg drop soup and egg fu young, a more healthier option for me lol. Last tip, if you're monitoring your glucose levels you can certainly spike your numbers with those delicious Orange Chicken Fries, so remember to drink plenty of water with lemon slices to help keep those numbers controlled. 🍋🥛... Got the Shrimp Fried Rice today and I can see it was no fluke! The portions are so generous that the containers look like they're about to burst apart. The food is so flavorful, that sweet sweet MSG smacks you across the face with every bite! They give you soy sauce but you won't need much, they season everything to perfection. Food is always piping hot, too... it's like they already know you'll be saving some for later. Can't say enough good about this spot, man. I done found my trusty Chinese joint😎

Mr. You Chinese Food is one of my favorite spots for Chinese takeout. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and well-portioned. Their fried rice and orange chicken are especially delicious, and you can taste the quality ingredients. Service is fast and friendly, and the prices are fair for the portions you get. Every order has been consistent and satisfying. Highly recommend if you’re craving tasty Chinese food!

This is our 1st time to go to Mr. You restaurant at city of Montclair. We bought Combo C. The combo comes with noddles, fried rice and 3 item. The 3 item we chooses are orange chicken, broccoli beef and BBQ pork. All the item we try it is delicious. We definitely will come back for some more and I love the the server @ Ms. Lia. We live out of state and read about this place. There was a line outside door. So, we new it must have been pretty good. And it was. Huge portions. Really tasty. I will.go back when Im in town.

I came here to try the orange chicken fries every one been talking about. I rate it 7 out of 10. Many of the orange chicken pieces was just fried batter with orange sauce but no meat. They give you so much I could barely close the container

Best fast food Chinese around! Everything is fresh and delicious but the line sometimes is crazy… but I guess that is how you know it’s good!

Food is great, but be aware of extra charge for bbq pork. NOT LISTED ANYWHERE.. Outise tables need to be clean up, washed once in a while, today is raining and there full of food on top and floor.

Saturday we went out to dinner we've been here several times and never been disappointed. The quantity of food you get for your money is unbelievable. We can feed the whole family with 2 meals a great deal foe a single mom.

They serve a variety of Chinese food including but not limited to Chow Mein, Fried Rice, Orange Chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Jalapeno Chicken, BBQ Chicken, Mushroom Chicken, Green Beans Chicken Breast, Beef Teriyaki, Shrimp Curry and so on. We came to this place on Sunday, July, 30, 2023 for the takeout dinner. This is a small Chinese restaurant with limited indoor and outdoor seating capacity. The ambiance of this place was casual. Moreover, the tables were not clean enough (we found scraps of food on the tables). We ordered Combo B (two items with Chow Mein/Fried Rice). The food was fresh and delicious. The portions they gave us were mountainous (in fact, the food quantity is their key feature). And the prices were insanely low considering the quantity of food. Their overall service was satisfactory. If you’re a fan of fat and juicy Chow Mein, then this place is highly recommended for you.

This place reminds me of both the good Chinese food of the 2000's and also a nice, clean efficient restaurant of today. I got the Orange Chicken Fries which were very unique and flavorful. They did sit through a 50 minute drive though, so they got a bit squished.

Where to begin, I had high hopes for this place and I might return just for the one item, which I actually found very savory! I went ahead and ordered their two item combo, seemed logical I would need to try two choices of meat to be just and fair, right? Okay, I hate to say this but the fried rice is hardly fried, there’s no bite to the rice, there is a massive lacking of flavor if you ask me, and unfortunately it’s just mushy rice, definitely not for me. The noodles I wanted to love and I liked them but also hated them, they have bite which I love, but they tasted of fish sauce or cheap oil, they where incredibly oily, like I had “lip gloss” vibes after one bite, so no for me on the noodles sadly. Let’s talk about the orange chicken shall we?! WHAT chicken?!?! It was mostly clumps of breaded dough smothered in orange syrup, there was no tanginess, just syrup, although it was crispy, that was a hard no for me. Would some actual chicken make it better??? I don’t know, I just think they’re cutting corners and think that people are too dumb to realize that there is hardly chicken in that “orange chicken”, lol. People are so into the sweetness we don’t even notice there is no actual chicken, but to each their own, I prefer some noticeable protein in my orange chicken, sorry I’m passionate, lol. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Now I’ve saved the best for last, and I have to say I was surprised! I had the bbq pork, like you can’t mess that up, and to my surprise I was quite pleased with the flavoring! It was fresh and tender, my only problem was how cheap the cut was, she cut a whole 4oz of it and about 40% of it was chewy fat, like ugh. So in conclusion, this is fast Chinese food friends, it’s not about quality, but about quantity, what do we expect? Anyway, this is my honest review, no hate, I personally miss the old donut shop that use to be here, but if sweet, fatty, overcooked and $12 average price food is what you’re going for, then eat your heart out, I personally can’t bring myself to do it again, maybe the pork, maybe! Lol best to you Mr. You! It’s fairly clean and the customer service is great! And they have diet option drinks, so I give you 3 stars 🤷🏻‍♀️

I've been here before.. The food is fairly good, cool portions, but today they did something that will probably keep me from returning back. They simply state online and at the location that they close at 9pm. I arrived at 8:30 pm and saw ppl entering. As soon as I get to the door at 8:33 the door is locked, saying they're closed with a full lobby of ppl inside. If you want to leave early and be out by 9 then say you close at 8:30. DEFINITELY FALSE ADVERTISEMENT...I drove a nice little distance to try the orange chicken fries, only to get turned away before they closed... BAD BUSINESS

We ordered two combos with a mix of the favorites… beef & broccoli, kung pao chicken, chow mein, orange chicken and bbq pork. The food all tastes the same and the orange chicken fries are actually kinda disgusting, definitely nothing to go crazy over. If you’re looking for huge portions of Chinese food that doesn’t taste like Chinese food this is the spot! 2 stars for their service, they are pretty quick.

I waited for 30 minutes, and ordered an item from the secret menu - Orange chicken fries, and a small container of fried noodles. The food was made fresh, so it was another 15 minutes wait. The restaurant only had 4 tables inside, and 4 tables outside. I was hungry because of the wait, and when I had my first bite. It was a great disappointment. The food is very Americanized. The orange chicken fries had a total of 4 pieces of orange chicken, and a full box of fries. The orange chicken was far too sweet, and I am wondering how much sugar they put in it. Also, orange chicken and fries were not a good combination! The fried noodle is a surprise, and it was the best thing in this meal. This meal was pretty sad to me. I am a big fan of fries; however, I could not finish it and had to throw it away. Also, I felt very thirsty after the meal, and it usually happens when the food I ate had a lot of msg in it. Two stars for this place because of the fried noodle. I will probably not come back. The food is not worth the drive, time, and money I spent.

I don’t know how this place has even 4 stars. The food is absolutely horrific. They don’t even hook it up like how they show on TikTok. I decided to give them another chance and instantly regretted it . Food is disgusting. Milk tea boba was disgusting! You can already tell by the color though, milk tea is suppose to be more of a coffee like brown

If I could give it a 0 I would, the worker was very rude. I ordered over the phone and when I showed up my order was completely wrong, when I told the lady I never ordered 3 bowls she got mad and started speaking in her native language very aggressively, I understand that they have pressure from the amount of people at the shop but that dosent stop them from having basic customer service and respect.

Honest review- I personally go to Mr. You on mountain Ave. And I assumed this location would be the same. Unfortunately I was wrong. Food tastes completely different and NOT in a good way. Customers service is pretty bad also. They were nice to me but I did see them interact with a customer that just wanted an extra bag and the amount of eye rolls and sass that was given was completely unnecessary. Also the ladies are on their phones quite frequently and laughing. Overall wouldn’t recommend. Like I said I usually don’t come to this location but it left a such bad taste I felt a review was necessary.
