What excellent breakfast burritos, there on Sunday and it was open before 8am, not sure if the hours are accurate on Google maps

Ordered the carnitas tacos they’re small street style with a lot of meat and very very good! Juicy! My partner has fish tacos and he loved it too. We chose this place on a whim after a long hike. Definitely will be back again. Inside dining area. No restroom from what I saw. Excellent service.

Pepe Taco is the reason why I don’t forget the name of Azusa. One of my favorite restaurants after enjoying some hiking. We felt so fortunate to arrive there as our last spot. It ended up being a nice experience of one more family reunion before a flight back home. We had over 10 people meet at this place and Pepe’s was just extremely accommodating and welcoming. The ingredients of the food were so well combined with the perfect distribution of flavored just extending themselves in your tastebuds! The first meal only increased my husband’s appetite for more. I had two meals, tacos Al Pastor, and Torta! He had an endless amount of tacos and two different Tortas. The service and the environment were all so incredible, and we look forward to our next visit! Thank you family at Pepe’s!!!

I stopped by this place when I was passing through Azusa, and I was more than delighted by the quality of their food. The tacos were delicious and tasted authentic. It seems like the place is family-run which is nice to see these days. Loved it and will be returning on my next visit.

Me and my daughter tried the place across the way, best teriyaki and they have really good sauce..really good. To find out that the taco place caddy corner, same owners. Hands down, the best barbacoa, shrimp pastor and chicken tacos ive ever had... absolutely amazing. Ive dedicated every single time i work in azusa that im stopping by pepes to try a new taco. Best bang for the buck, best taos around and service is phenomenol. I appreciate it!

For today’s lunch, I had two shrimp tacos at the crazy price of $1 each, and a wonderful bowl of beef soup filled with tender vegetables; everything was delicious and homemade-style, not to mention that the waitress/cashier lady was extremely friendly and attentive. This place is such a hidden little gem in Azusa. I highly recommend Pepe’s Tacos to everyone!

Hole on the wall restaurant serving delicious food, clean and good atmosphere. There menudo is very good. I tried there pancake breakfast for the first time pancakes were delicious and fluffy, incl.bacon and eggs. I recommend trying this place out. Really stop on by.

I can eat eat, and get great quality food, that taste amazing, almost cheaper than I can buy groceries. I haven't had anything that doesn't taste great. They have catered events for me, and feed me at least three days a week. How absolutely wonderful.

Delicious food at a reasonable cost. The wet burrito was one of the tastiest I've ever had and the nachos were done up nicely. Wish they weren't so soggy, but that's the nature of nachos and the extra chips helped! The tacos were pretty small, but tasty as well. Will be returning to pepes next time I want some good Mexican food.

Highly recommend this tiny very authentic Taco shop! When you enter, your nose flies up like a infield pop up; that's Real Spice in the air coming from the kitchen. Generous and fresh Avocado sliced splayed like a flower that was perfectly ripe.. Not my first visit and certainly Not my Last Try and enjoy!

FREAKING BOMB! 2nd best Chiliquilles I've ever had. Even better than in Mexico! Staff is always super on it and chill. The other food is great too. Not to mention the pricing is vastly better than the lot of their competitors. I go here weekly as it's minutes away from my work. 10 out of 10! Keep it up everyone!

If you are making your way up (or down) the Canyon on Hwy 39, come to Pepe's tacos, a great Mexican neighborhood restaurant in my beautiful City of Azusa. I've been coming here for years. My family and I like the tacos, burritos, and the delicious Mole enchiladas. The tacos are packed with flavor, the burritos are filled with fresh ingredients, and the mole plate is very authentic! The restaurant has great service and a welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend checking it out if you're looking for some fast on the go delicious Mexican food.

We got carne asada burritos and they were pretty good. The server was very nice. My only complaint was that the inside seemed pretty shabby.

Unfortunately, this is all that's left of my wet burrito at the time of me doing this review, it was just that great. I highly recommend to stop as the customer service was wonderful. Just a little note they have a public restroom that you get to walk through the kitchen to go use. they do not have liquor or beer, but there's a liquor Mart next-door to it. Just go.

Stumbled on this little gem after a ride through San Gabriel. We got the taco dorado’s and the were the best tacos we have ever had! We travel to California for work so when we are back in the area we will definitely be back!

superb, a cut above. been seeing this spot as i make my way up to west fork trail with my bike on the car rack. finally stopped by and saw it was dollar fish tacos on wednesdays, so that was my order. i got it to go and waited only about the length of one classic 80's music video, rock en espanol type, on the big screen and it was awesome. the three fish tacos came loaded with cabbage, cilantro, tomato. the fish was fried light and crisp and tasty, a creamy sauce was just savory and sweet enough. also included generous handful of what may be the best in house tortilla chips i've had ever (?!) with two generous portions of salsas, red and green. each salsa had a distinct and heady flavor, lots of care went into each one, that was evident. some spots these days the salsas are lacking. plus you gotta ask for both red and green, which i get, but it was really nice that you don't have to ask, that they want to give you as much as they can. all of that for $3.33. i would pay more it's not that, it's just the giving vibe that's notable. i mean, i can see why the tables were almost all full with contented locals. i'm definitely going back again, another time i head out to the bike trail.

The service always comes with a welcoming face here at Pepe's Tacos. Affordable when being selective, but you can also splurge with a 10 dollar shrimp cocktail or other shrimp entrées. Parking is tight, but there has never been a problem. No public restrooms is posted at the door. Cash and credit cards are accepted.

Food is always on point, the staff are too! Definitely one of my favorite spots to grab some delicious food.

Great food, but orders can take a while to be prepared. Make sure you have extra time allotted to enjoy the delicious food.

This was a 10/10 with everything until recently they got rid of the homemade Agua Frescas for cheap fountain drink ones. It definitely takes away from the authenticity of this establishment that I’ve been frequenting for over 20 years. Hopefully they bring it back some day.

Wasn't a super fan of the steak tacos but carnitas were good and rice is great. They have a few sauces to pick from. I love that they have high school student age kids running the register and cleaning.

Always suspicious about a smaller restaurant with a vast menu, but we were craving a few different things and they had almost everything we wanted so we gave it a shot. Overall, pretty good and it all hit the spot. Free chips, even in to go orders which was cool. Menudo - 4 stars. good flavor but more soup than meat. Light on the hominy, which is how I like it too. May be my fault for ordering menudo in a weekday, but it was cold out and it sounded good. Will try again sometime and see if ratios improve. Tostada - 4 stars. was soggy by the time we got it home. Too soggy. We should have asked for it separately meat on the other hand was amazing. Tacos - 4 stars. Meats ranged from avg to good. Nothing really stood out as amazing but would say asada and carnitas were best. Shrimp and fish were good but a little light meat. Buche and lengua were ok. The hard shell taco was the stand out in this group and you can try with any meat. The barbacoa would be amazing in this. Salsa - 4.5 stars. both green and red were really good. Great flavors in the green and red had a kick without compromising taste.

Food: wife got Carne Asada Torta🍔. I ordered a hard shell beef taco 🌮 and Al Pastor burrito 🌯. Torta and taco was quite good. Burrito was OK. Atmosphere: small taco shop feel. Service: Efficient but cold? Will probably return.

I went to the store in Covina. On Azusa Avenue the food was terrible. The chicken taco was greasy and didn't taste like chicken. I usually go to the store in Alhambra on valley blvd and the food there is delicious quite a difference.

The food was delicious! Get a burrito. The taco plates are expensive and contain very small portions, you’ll be hungry afterwards. Seriously? They even skimped on the rice and beans! Burritos were generous portions.

I ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito and there was no eggs or potatoes in the burrito. Just chorizo, beans, and cheese.

Chips were stale and salsa wasn't good. Got a wet burrito but it was Americanized with lots of sour cream on top. The sauce that came with the wet burrito seemed to be canned.

If I could give this place 0 stars I truly would. Customer service is awful they watched me stand at the counter while they chatted and my order didn’t get taken until minutes later. The food is a safety hazard they are serving old rubbery pollo meat with tendons, and the rice was unbelievably hard as if it had been sitting and scraped from the bottom of the pan, I couldn’t even bite through it. I went back to receive a refund for my order and was given a hard time the manager continuously stated “it is what it is” and that she couldn’t afford to give me a refund. I am traumatized by my experience and will not be returning here.

The shrimp were overcooked and tough. The salad was fresh as were the flour tortillas. I can't say I enjoyed any of this food enough to eat here again, even if for free: thanks, but no thanks.
