Food was good, but not the reason. Why I left a 5 star review. My daughters and I went in this evening and the hospitality was amazing. Everybody there makes you feel like part of the family. It's a hidden gem wedged between the foothills on the 245. To our surprise there was snow all over, we took dry creek road all the way from 216 and it was such a beautiful drive. For all you motorcyclist take that drive, it is amazing. Thank you guys for the amazing experience

I haven't been there since the 80's, but it looks like the place has been well taken care of. I use to live in Badger at the Fire station on star route #1. My Mom and Dad lived there cause my Dad worked for the Department of Corrections of California at Miramonte,Calif. Camp#5. The place was ran by my best friend's parents at the time. Their last a name was Goodell. Kirk's Dad also was the Entertainment (singer) His Mom mostly cooked and tended bar. They said they owed a third of it. It was opened more back then. So if your in the area stop by great food and spirits.

A really nice place with good food - especially burgers and chicken strips

We were a group of 4 with a baby, traveling from Paris to visit the sequoia national park and were looking for a restaurant for lunch. We decided to try the place out and we were pleasantly surprised to have experienced an authentic typical American dining experience. We were welcomed really well by the manager who gave us recommendations for what to order. We had starters and the rib eye steak with eggs each. The meat sourced from a local ranch was just delicious..tender and well served. Overall the experience was unique and definitely the best overall during our stay near sequoia national park.

Great place for a bike ride and a beer. Next time I'll try the food. It smelled great.

Went for a drive and stopped in for a bite. We ordered the house special which was steak sandwich covered in mushrooms, onions, on fresh baked ciabatta bread, served with fries. This sandwich was cooked to perfection and the fries were crisp not soggy. Loved it, it was delicious and we can’t wait to go back and try something else on the menu.

Excellent food!!! The staff are friendly and helpful. Whenever I take a drive to the mountains I love to stop here for lunch. The mushroom burger and onion rings are my favorite. The Badger Mountain House is the perfect place to stop, have lunch and enjoy the atmosphere. You won't regret it!

Bartender was fabulous. She took great care of my father in law and myself. Fast on the refills and perfect on the order. Chef was a personable and charming individual. Great burger and cold beer. Yall gotta try it.

Travel a windy road to a great place on the top of a hill. Friendly staff, great BLT, views are awesome. Indoor and patio seating. Bar, pool tables, a cute little cat to welcome you.

What a great place! The owners were awesome! We ate out on the patio with our dog and they even brought her a bowl of water and a treat. Great burgers and a really friendly atmosphere.

John the owner was awesome. Seems to be a very hard working and still excited to take the time to share information about the area and to talk motorcycles. We had the fish and chips and it was very good.

It was snowing and we were hungry, so I called to see if they were open. The gentleman on the phone said it was slow and was getting ready to close, but he waited for us! He informed me that he had turned off the grill so it was a limited menu, and we were fine with that. We enjoyed our food, our cocktails and his company. I look forward to my next visit and having one of his delicious burgers that are known for.

We had a great long weekend visiting Yosemite, Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. Just when we thought it couldn’t get better we stopped at a wonderful little restaurant. The burgers were delicious and when I couldn’t decide on the fries or the onion rings the owner said he’d give me a mix. Wow, that’s just how they operate. By the time we left we felt we’d made some new friends and enjoyed a home cooked meal.

Great spot to rest, grab a drink, or eat. Had what I thought was the best burger in the whole area. Good fuel after the hikes, and the drink selection was perfect 👌. When I come back to visit the national park this is a must.

Absolute hidden gem! Whenever we’re over near this part of CA, we make the drive up the mountain to this restaurant because it is absolutely worth. The owners are down to earth and create a warm environment to enjoy your drinks and meal. AND, I’ll argue this with anyone, the double cheeseburger is no joke THE BEST burger I have EVER had. It’s unrivaled (at least as of yet). They take pride in sourcing the best ingredients and it shows in the food. The Baker Mountain House is a must when you’re driving by.

The food is delicious I had the mountain burger and my father had a normal cheese burger. They were both on point, I would definitely recommend eating here or stopping for a drink. Overall a 4.7 is a understatement it should easily be a 5 star

Where there aren’t any restaurants on highway 245 you will find this place a must stop to grab some food. Many motorcyclists you can see stopping by. The prices are high and thats why a 4 star. Extra price for cheese, extra price for veggie patty despite of replacing the meat with veggie patty.

The appetizer we ordered with the different fried foods were mushy on the inside and outside. Overall the vibe and staff of this place was amazing but the food was distasteful.

You have to get there at least 2 hours before close to eat. It’s not posted online or on their menus left about cabins in the area.
