We tried River View for the first time last - our service was phenomenal thanks to Juan, and the food and atmosphere matched the service. We enjoyed everything so much that we came back for a 2nd dinner tonite. We were lucky enough to have Juan again, and our food was just as good. The atmosphere and vibe are comfortable, the outdoor seating area is incredible, and the music is on point. If you’re in the area, treat yourself with a visit to River View.

Real American Burger experience. Beautiful veranda and outside sitting with river views. We had our new born with us and staff was supportive and friendly. The Giant Sequoia Burger and the IPA were 10/10. Highly recommend!

We had a great time at River View Grill & Bar. The riverside setting was beautiful and relaxingperfect for enjoying a solid meal after exploring the area. I ordered the Mountain Man Burger and it was a monster in the best way. A thick, juicy Angus patty topped with bacon, cheddar cheese, crispy onions, and BBQ sauce. Every bite was packed with smoky, savory flavor. I paired it with their onion rings, which were crispy and golden easily some of the best I’ve had in a while. My wife tried the Pastrami & Swiss Melt perfectly grilled with gooey cheese and tender pastrami on toasted sourdough. It was rich, satisfying, and clearly made with care. The fries were seasoned well and had that perfect balance of crunch on the outside and soft on the inside. For the kids, we got the Mini Corn Dogs from the “Wee Ones” menu. They were a hit—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and just the right portion. Plus, it came with more of those delicious fries and a dipping sauce. The staff was welcoming and attentive, and the food came out hot and fresh. The casual, family-friendly atmosphere made the whole experience even better. Also worth noting they offer a 10% military discount, which is always appreciated. Tip: Grab a table outside near the river for a peaceful view while you eat. Highly recommend if you’re in the Three Rivers area and craving something hearty and homemade

River View Grill & Bar is a lovely spot for dinner, especially if you enjoy dining with a view. The outdoor patio offers a beautiful riverfront scene—perfect for a relaxing meal. Our waitress was friendly and offered great suggestions from the menu, which we appreciated. Since it’s spring, be prepared for mosquitoes if you’re sitting outside. I recommend bringing some bug repellent to stay comfortable. The parking lot is on the smaller side, but there’s some street parking available nearby. We visited on a weekday and didn’t have to wait long to be seated. I can’t speak to weekend crowds, but it may be a bit busier then. Overall, it’s a nice spot with great service and an even better view.

We visited this restaurant a couple of times during our stay at Three Rivers to explore the sequoia trees. The first time we just got some drinks and a couple of appetizers — sweet potato fries and jalapeño poppers. The second time we got burgers — the bacon cheese and the mountain man. Food was good but the view was better. Blood orange beer was awesome. We waited almost 2 hours for a table on Valentine’s Day, but we were able to hang out at the bar while we waited. Thanks for having us! 😊

I had a great experience at River View Grill and Bar. The atmosphere was welcoming especially being seated right next to the river. It really added to the overall vibe. The food was great. We waited about an hour to be seated and the food came out about 20 minutes after ordering, which wasn’t too bad considering how busy they were. I would definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time. Overall, a great spot with good food and a beautiful setting. Ps go for the spicy pork sandwich it was on a seasonal menu taste like a sushi roll great texture would give it a 10/10 but like I said it was on the seasonal menu.

You're paying for the ambiance/atmosphere here. The alcoholic drinks are priced good, but they use well liquor in the drinks, so the quality is just, mehh. The burgers were okay but were very simple, and the seasoning was just so so. The service was pretty good overall. It is likely you will have to wait for a table. We arrived on a Sunday night at 4pm and had to wait 40 minutes for a table. The outdoor seating is huge and the views were amazing. They also had live music, which definitely adds to the experience.

When eating here you have to account for how rustic this area actually is. The tuna melt had typical low cost "American cheese", which tastes exactly as one would expect. The breaded chicken sandwich was spicy, and quite good. The atmosphere was nice, and relaxing. What made this visit so enjoyable was our server, Brooke D. Her continuous smile was infectious. We watched her go all the serving areas like a ping pong ball helping anyone. I must note a young male employee who stood on his tippy toes to wind up the shades facing the river. He never stopped moving and working. He had an emotionless facial expression and just kept busy taking care a many, many odd tasks. He was like a perpetual movement machine. Overall this place was clean, friendly and worth a return visit..

Amazing setting! Not a bad Western Burger, But not a good one also. Tasted like a "backyard burger" quality, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but this isn't a great burger. It was $18 or so with fries, so overall a decent value still I suppose. The fries were good ~ But you come here for the views, amazing location here along the river

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this spot for the first time, and I must say, it was a great experience. After exploring Sequoia, we decided to stop by for lunch, and despite some initial parking challenges due to a private event that filled their lot, we managed to find a spot on the side of the road. They have an extensive food selection with reasonable prices. I highly recommend trying the zucchini and burgers. The restaurant has a full bar with a good cocktail selection and beers from local breweries. The service was friendly and prompt, making us feel welcome right away. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxed, with a spacious outdoor patio that overlooks the river, a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a meal. While it definitely has the vibe of a local hangout for adults, I was pleased to see that they offer kid-friendly options on the menu, making it a great choice for families as well. One minor note: the bathroom is a bit small, but that didn't detract from our overall experience. It’s clear that this place is a popular spot among locals, and I can see why.

My typical MO is to leave favorable reviews, so I've held off for a couple of days to see if my opinion might change...but it hasn't. First, my wife did enjoy her chicken salad. Seemed to have good flavors. My burger was overcooked, dry. Same for my daughter. The fruit flavored teas had an unusual aftertaste which we couldn't pin down. We sat on the deck, looking over the river. In general, that was nice. But the litter along the bank from prior customers was noticable. A guy was smoking on the upper level, standing near a fan, which served to blow the smoke over the guests. I realize this is also a bar, but where I'm from, no smoking would be allowed. And in CA where everything causes cancer, why is it permissable to allow one person's smoking to affect the experience of others. We appreciated the 10% veteran discount. It just wasn't what we had hoped for. Hopefully some tips for the owners. Fix a couple things...

We had dinner here on a Wednesday night in April 2025. This is a large restaurant and bar in a lovely setting right next to the Kaweah river with both indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated quickly. As sometimes happens, the host tried to seat us at a rear table in a mostly empty section, we asked instead to be seated at an empty riverfront table and he agreed. Our waiter Juan arrived quickly with menus. They were out of the draft IPA beer on the menu so I asked for a sample of an alternative draft IPA Juan recommended. He said they charge $1 for draft samples, which I think is a silly policy for $8 draft beers, but I agreed. My daughter loved her watermelon margarita and I hated the hazy fruity IPA sample he brought and switched to a draft Stella which was much better. They still charged the $1 for the IPA sample. My daughter ordered the chili burger and I ordered the pastrami burger. The food came out quickly but the waiter forgot to bring a fork to go with the chili burger. We waited about 5 minutes and he never checked in on us so I went up to the kitchen and asked him for a fork and then he took about another 5 minutes to bring it. My daughter enjoyed the chili burger. I thought the pastrami burger was just barely okay. For both of us the burger patties were very overcooked and dry. The Pastrami was just two small slices and it was tough and chewy. The fries were good and hot. After we finished dinner the waiter came back and I asked for a menu so we could look at desserts. Juan forgot to bring the menu and came back about 15 minutes later with the bill. We ended up stopping at the local market inside the Shell station to get a pint of Ben & Jerry's fudge brownie ice cream and that was really good. So in summary, I think this restaurant is all about the atmosphere. The river setting is beautiful and they often have live music. In the Spring there are definitely mosquitoes. The food is just average and at least for us the service was friendly but inattentive and forgetful. The restaurant is very kid friendly and dog friendly, we should have brought our Labrador retriever with us.

We were excited to try this place given the generally good reviews, though left disappointed after our meal. We were sat outside on the river view deck which was very nice - excellent views, clean area Our server kept nagging us to get our order, we had only been seated for about 5 minutes and asked 3 times if we were ready to order. Kind of annoying. This is the last we saw of her until it was time to pay our tab. We ordered our meal -- the haymaker burger w/ sweet potato fries and a chicken Caesar salad -- the food was decent. The chili tasted like it came from a can, the burger was pre-frozen, our salad came without the advertised croutons (also, the bowl shape was odd and felt like we were eating from a dog's bowl), and the sweet potato fries came out cold and limp. Everything tasted unseasoned. Our server never checked in with us once while we ate. This was probably the worst part of the experience. Overall, it's a restaurant in a tourist town - expect mediocre food at high prices. Though, you will have excellent views if you choose to eat outside.

I have never been serve a drink and a filthy glass until now. I could look pass the frozen food served warm for unnecessary high prices, but not the filthy glass (not plastic). The service was great with the exception no one address the filthy glass as the server watched me scratch the filthy off the inside. We had already ordered appetizers but decided not to get any other food. I had a few bottled beers and my partner stuck to drafts though his glasses were also dirty but not as bad as mine. We won't be back.

We stopped at River View Bar & Grill in Three Rivers during our 2021 Western U.S. camping road trip - one of the only actual sit-down restaurants we hit the whole trip. We chose it because 1) it’s right by the river, and 2) it’s dog friendly, which is a rare and beautiful thing when you’re traveling with pups. I ordered a salad that came out a little wimpy, sad, and kinda limp - not exactly $17-worthy, but honestly, I wasn’t even mad. They welcomed our dogs with zero fuss, and that alone made it worth the stop. Next time, I might just bring some snacks and grab a drink by the river - happy dog vibes > gross veggies.
