Opinions de Can Majó Barcelona
Absolutely fantastic experience! Can Majó offers authentic Catalan seafood at its best — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The paella marinera was outstanding, full of rich taste and fresh prawns. The service was friendly, the atmosphere relaxing by the sea, and every dish felt like a piece of Barcelona’s soul. Definitely worth 5 stars!
Can Majó Restaurant – Barcelona 🌊🍤 If you’re in Barcelona and don’t eat the seafood paella at Can Majó, you’re missing out. Hands down one of the best seafood paellas of our lives. We were lucky enough to sit right on the beach — toes in the sand, wine in hand, watching the sea while that golden paella hit the table. Unreal. The service was great, the reviews don’t lie. Walk all the way down to the beach, get a table outside if you can (or beg for one), order the seafood paella, a cold bottle of Spanish white, and just be happy. Pure Barcelona magic.
Very amazing and welcoming hosts who got us seated right away. We got an inside seating and the AC inside was very refreshing to say the least. They were very kind in responding to our emails as well and were very very accommodating. Jairo was amazing and was our host for the noon. He got our orders evenly spaced out and as well kept checking on our needs and as well replaced our plates and silverware in the midst to make sure we got to taste the prawns and the octopus afresh. We ordered only the starters as we were late into our lunch and had an early dinner scheduled for the evening. We got the Zucchini carpaccio with cheese , garlic carbinero prawns and galician style octopus with potato slices and the pardon peppers. Delicious would be an understatement and these starters were to die for. Made perfect in balance and harmony amongst the ingredients and the spices and very very very fresh. Do give them a try and thank me later!!
Very elegant and well presented restaurant in front of the Barceloneta. Paella was incredible, especially the black ink one which I would say was the best paella I’ve ever tasted. Service was great too. We dined there 2 times while on vacation because it was so good. A little on the pricier side but worth it. Definitely recommend this place!
Service is always top here . Food is also excellent but this time as we choose set menu the paella was good but not wow . Still it’s one of the favorites when visiting Barcelona and want a good local place to go on a family Sunday lunch . The tarte tatin is the perfect size to end the day . Soft and exactly how it should be.
Our hotel host recommended Can Majó, and it did not disappoint! The attentive staff, excellent service, and fresh food made for a wonderful dining experience. Me We especially loved the gamba croquettes and the ability to pick fresh seafood from the showcase. Meeting the owner was a highlight, and we enjoyed a pleasant conversation. Located close to the beautiful Barceloneta Beach, the restaurant offers a nice environment with active swimmers nearby. It's about a 1.25-mile walk from La Rambla or a short taxi ride. Excellent herbs chupito! Highly recommended.
This place was recommended to me by locals to try paella in Barcelonetta region. First of all, this place one of a few, where you can order paella for 1 person only. So this is a big plus. The seaview from the restaurant is great as well. The paella itself was good, but for me it was too salty. I also ordered cream for the dessert - it was delicious.
Some friends invited us for lunch and we were extremely happy with our overall experience. We sat outside but inside the tent. We had a view of the sea and the weather was also beautiful. All the dishes we ordered were fresh and extremely delicious. The presentation was to the point and taste left a lasting effect, making us crave for more. For dessert, highly recommend the cheese cake. The service we received from Jairo was fantastic. He was friendly, pleasant, helpful and always wore a smile. He made our experience more memorable. We highly recommend this restaurant due to the overall satisfaction we experienced. Thank you Jairo for taking care of us so well!
A delicious paella is harder to find in Barcelona, but thankfully we found an amazing option! Delicious paella and seafood all around, we weren’t starving so couldn’t sample more tapas, but the grilled shrimp was delicious and I’d happily go back for more. Nice staff and house wines available also!
Very recommended. Great quality fish and rices. Service was very professional and nice. Has a terrace next to the sea, with an enjoyable view. During winter the it is closed inside a transparent tent and with heating. So I recommend seating outside at whatever time of the year.

We really enjoyed Can Majó! The Manager was very warm and accommodating - we sat in the covered tent area right off the beach, so great people-watching! Very nice service - everyone was so friend…
I dined in the tent with an ocean view, and the food was delicious. Tried the Catalan Cream for the first time and loved it!
Great location by the beach with picture-perfect scenery. Food especially Paella was really good. The staff was very friendly.
Nice place, with sea view. Attentive and friendly waiter. The dishes was wonderful, paella very tradicional and tasty. Liked and recommend it.
Great food and location. Fiduea for two was appropriate portion-wise, when getting a starter and dessert. Fair price for seafood.
Located near the beach but sufficiently away from the crowds. A few more fans in the terrace/tent to cope with the summer heat would’ve been nice. Service was pretty good and attentive. Appetizers were mostly delicious. The portions were pretty large (even though stated for two people). The peeled prawn paella was delicious. But we were unfortunately disappointed with the fideua that felt rather overcooked.
We visited Con Majo in Barcelona and tried the paella, which was good but not exceptional. The flavors were nice, although it could have had more variety in ingredients and was a bit too salty for my taste. The sangria, however, was fantastic and definitely added to the experience. The location and atmosphere were also lovely, making it a pleasant place to dine. Overall, it’s a solid choice, but there’s room for improvement, especially with the paella.
Decided on this spot because it was at Barceloneta Beach with a great vibe. We made resos and arrived 20 minutes early but they were kind enough to seat us early. We had a great view of the beach crowd. We ordered the grilled octopus and traditional spanish paella and some wine. the food took a bit long but the views were fun so we didn’t mind. i was somewhat disappointed in the meal. the octopus was undercooked and a bit too gooey and the paella just didn’t deliver. it was mild in flavours and uneventful. It def needed more flavour. I’ve had better and this was overpriced. The staff was WONDERFUL and our server was very kind and resourceful when it came to the menu. We loved her. I would not eat here again.
This was my night to indulge in some tasty and authentic seafood paella. After countless hours of tiresome research, and a recommendation from a local, Can Majó won the vote. The service was very friendly and they even sat us 30 minutes before our reservation. The seafood paella was pretty damn good. The rice was seasoned just right. It was a seafood congregation of mussels, clams, prawn, shrimp, and a lobster on top. The lobsters beady eyes almost begging me to indulge. I would have to say the price included the experience and atmosphere as well, which I’m sure is common in the seafood restaurants of Barceloneta. What really won me the most browny points with my girlfriend had to have been the Crema Catalan. It was delicate and sweet under the surface. An ocean of bliss hidden under a thin and crisp sheet of caramelized sugar. The “cookie” reminded me of a homemade waffle cone from the local ice cream shop your parents might have rewarded you with after a school year of straight A’s and B’s and minimal detentions. Would recommend.

They accommodated our reservation when we arrived early however only the outside dining was available. Food was mediocre at best. Paella portion extremely small and not worth the money paid.
