Opinions de Can Solé Barcelona
Llevo años visitando Can Sole y nunca me ha decepcionado.
Overall, good experience with service and the food. The staff were also amazing and friendly. The paella and the fish soup were similar in taste. They were both very salty so finishing the paella became more overwhelming towards the end. We, unfortunately, also encountered a few pieces of sand, possibly coming from the mussels. The place seemed to be slightly overpriced, as it is a well-known and rooted restaurant, but not sky-high.
Fantastic service from Amauris and Delicious Food!!! From the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcomed. Our server was outstanding, knowledgeable about the menu, and always ready with a smile. He made great recommendations that turned out to be spot-on. The food was simply excellent — fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Every dish was cooked to perfection!! We left feeling completely satisfied, and we’ll definitely be coming back on our next trip to Barcelona. Highly recommend this place for anyone who values great service and a memorable meal! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🙏🏾🙏🏾
There is a reason why local restaurants like this can survive over a century. It’s simple, elegant, full of history, and yet humble about it. We ordered 3 dishes. Fried fish as appetizer, oxtail tail as the meat dish, and of course paella to finish off the meal. The fried fish was lightly salted and perfectly cooked. Not too dry but just enough so the bone came right off. The oxtail had been slow cooked for sometime. The meat did not come right off the bone, but that’s the good part. If it came right off, personally I would find it over cooked. This one was fine and tasty. I would recommend ordering a side of bread to finish the sauce. Don’t let it go to waste. The paella was gigantic. Tho it’s supposed to be for 2 people, but it felt like could feed 4 of us. It’s crispy on the bottom and soft on top. Personally I found the rice slightly undercooked (really just slightly). But then again this was the first time I ate paella in Spain. So it could very well be the authentic way. I wouldn’t change a thing. Staff were very friendly. Everyone was. I had a wonderful experience. Cheers to another 100 years.
I spent quite a long time walking around Barcelona looking for a great place, with great food and great atmosphere and believe me, I found that place in Can Solé. The food is really good, the atmosphere is cosy, traditional and warm, the service from ALL staff members is superb, they are really really nice people, specially the guy from Domincan Republic who gave me the chance to enter without a reservation and made the chef prepared the paella with peeled shrimps, etc for me.....really welcoming and accommodating guy, but again, all others are also very nice. This is a place I will be always visiting during any of my stays in Barcelona. Thanks....
There are so many restaurants to choose from in Barcelona, but we are so glad we chose this one! Amazing personal service, incredible food, very authentic experience. Easy to make online reservations. We loved everything about it and highly recommend. A wonderful way to spend our last evening in Spain. Thank you, Can Solé!
Alright. This place is nothing short of spectacular - its been around for 100+ years for a reason. Big fan of the must try dish - the seafood paella. It’s got all the fresh shellfish you would expect and 1 order is enough for 2 people. Their service is exceptional here and it’s one of the best paellas I’ve ever had.
Came here for lunch because of the good rating and they live up with their reputation. This is a traditional restaurant in the beach district. The historic building immediately throws me back in time in a a good way. We started with the monkfish seafood soup, it's taste is rich and tasty and the ingredients is full of favor. The seafood paella we ordered is a locals favorite. The risotto mixes with juice from pawns and mussels give a exquisite texture and taste.
We had a great lunch at Can Sole. The food was fresh and well made. It is a restaurant famous for its paella, so we ordered that along with fedeua. Both dishes were fantastic, full of intense seafood flavour. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We came with a baby stroller, and that was no problem. Even with a table on the second floor, they helped us to carry it up to the top.

Evrithing, i mean evrithyng was perfekt. ♥️♥️♥️ Perfect service, delicious food, good environment ♥️♥️♥️
Great service. Paella was spot on. Suggest you skip the "daily special" - was definitely surprisingly overpriced (I.e. half a dozen shrimp was more than double the cost of paella..). Only restaurant we have been to in Spain with the option of a tip at purchase.. Still worth checking out though if in the area.
Paella ofcourse! What I got the paella ofcourse! The typical one to that.. as a tourist.. ha. This was the second paella I had in Barcelona, and I really liked it. Everything was seasoned very well and tasted very good. No complains. I also got the razor claims - this to me was very new and different (personally I didn't like it). The crema Catalana was very good! I had around 3 of these and this one to me was the best.. (I am not local to barcelona.. I am still surveying). Environment Located in an off street on the main popular street. I didn't have a reservation and luckily was able to get a seat just an hour before the closing. They sat me at the front door, so I was not able to see the space. But I think there is quite a number of seating available, and even upstairs. Niceness of the staff Since I was very near to the door and the bar area.. which means I was always in the eyesight of the waiters and host. Also maybe I was a tourist, I was always on their minds? They were friendly and I was able to get my orders in with no problem Dollar It was decent I suppose, it was 24.40 per person for the paella and then the clams were 17.50. The bread costs! Yes I would recommend to other tourist alike haha..

Ignore anything good that you may have read. Unsafe neighborhood, super cold and overcooked dry paella, beyond rubber calamari. Run. Do not waste your money or time on this place.
