What a wonderful night for us. We are a group of 6 visiting Barcelona and this place was the perfect place for our group. Excellent food but at a reasonable price. Amazing wait staff that made our night memorable. I recommend to any and all.
Wow! Celebrating our honeymoon with my wife, and we knew we wanted to go a little off the main streets to find a good local spot for dinner. El Pintor did not disappoint. The service and the food was incredible. The entire experience was pristine. The staff was so friendly and gave the best recommendations. A special shout out to Sisco for his friendliness and charm. I couldn’t recommend this place more.
Everything we got here was absolutely amazing!! The steak, chefs kiss. The garlic shrimp, delightful. The dessert, FANTASTIC!! The staff was VERY helpful and VERY kind. Could not recommend more!! Go here. You will not be disappointed!!
Exceptional service and genuine hospitality! We have never met anyone as sincerely kind and attentive as Marco — his warmth and professionalism made our visit truly special. The whole team treats guests with such care and authenticity that you instantly feel at home. We’re sending our very best wishes for continued success and hope to welcome you in Lithuania one day!
An unforgettable experience — 100 out of 100! The owners were incredibly kind and surprised us with a personal tasting — what a wonderful and unexpected treat! Every bite was amazing, and we felt truly spoiled and cared for. Such warm hospitality and genuine attention made this visit unforgettable. Thank you so much for this beautiful experience!
Perfect spot in the heart of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter! An ideal place to stop for a delicious and luxurious lunch while exploring the charming narrow streets of the Gothic Quarter. The food is absolutely perfect — every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented! The staff were wonderful — friendly, smiling, attentive, and truly professional. A special place that makes you feel warmly welcomed and well taken care of. Highly recommended!
Very nice traditional catalan restaurant with male waiters with long aprons who were very helpful. I had a beef stew (melosa de ternera) which was a large piece of slowly cooked succulent meat on potato puree with stew sauce. Prices were reasonable 23€ for the beef. I had a brandy after and it was a generous serving😊. They also brought out a complementary liquor for us too. Atmosphere was really nice. Would recommend for a romantic meal.
This was our favorite place we have eaten since our vacation started (France/Spain). We had the lamb shoulder and the tataki steak, both were fantastic but it was genuinely the best lamb I have ever had in my life, absolutely would recommend and I normally don't like lamb very much. Also a bottle of house wine is only 20 euros, very reasonable compared to many places. This place deserves more stars, very reasonably priced for the quality you get.
We didn't have a reservation, but were seated very quickly. We aren't fluent in Spanish or Catalan, and the wait staff weren't proficient in English, but they were incredibly patient with us! Our waiter was so kind and cracked a few jokes with us. The atmosphere was wonderful and the food delightful. We ordered pan con tomate, octopus, and catalan spinach as starters--all delicious. The octopus was charred perfectly and very tender! For mains we got the boar and lamb. The lamb was perfection--no notes. The only issue was that the boar was dry, but that might just be a boar issue and not an El Pintor issue. A wonderful experience and we would recommend to anyone!
Absolutely amazing! Food is ridiculous, VERY large portion sizes. The lunch pre fixe is 15 bucks, and SO SO GOOD! I had the Snails, Duck and Crema with their suggestion of white wine. The sr ice was friendly, but not hovering, efficient, and they were SO nice. I know NO Spanish, and yet they made me feel very comfortable, and gave me extra olives! Even though I showed up like 20 minutes before closing.
Beautiful rustic restaurant in the Call. The food is a mix of classic Spanish and Catalan dishes with a touch of country gourmet. The lunch menu offers a wide variety of selection and has a great quality to price ratio. The customer service is pleasant and efficient. I will definitely be back.
Awesome catalan authentic restaurant. After visiting Barcelona several years ago, my wife remembered this little restaurant and that she at that time didn’t make it to eat there. So we did it this time and were not disappointed. It’s best to make a reservation, since every time we passed by, the house was full. So we reserved a table for two and enjoyed very tasty carpaccio (we had veal and salmon, the latter being the better, the former a bit too thick and served frozen), fish (the cod with honey and the cod with ratatouille, both of them were awesome, and finally a chocolate cake with chocolate cream covered in chocolate (yes, triple chocolate, so to say). Based on the recommendation a fantastic spanish red wine. The staff was fantastic, relaxed and attentive, humorous and friendly at all times. Not only did we eat very good, we also felt very comfortable and in good hands. Thanks for a great experience.
Good food and romantic atmosphere, this restaurant is in the hearth of Gotic Neighborhood. We tasted paella of fish, the best one that I have eaten in my life.

Very very very good.. Gem hidden a couple of hundred meters away from the busy street, cosy alley. Nice atmosphere. Good prices.
We stumbled on this place walking through the Gothic Quarter. Excellent food, very reasonable prices. Service was good, and the food was excellent!

Great fresh food - does not feel like a tourist trap. The food is fresh and savory. The staff is incredible. We have been here twice and planning our last meal in Barcelona here.
Tucked out of the way of a harried pedestrian walkway, we had a menu del dia that was just right. Warm service and they took good care of my mother-in-law with her walker. Good value and great dess…

Food was okay, the starters were good but my paella had no shrimps and two mussels. Only one was open. It was just “good”. But the atmosphere was lovely and the staff were friendly.
I wanted to try out this restaurant after seeing how beautiful the place was from outside. We went around 9pm on a Saturday and we were seated despite not having any reservation. We were seated on the 2nd floor which was absolutely beautiful 💖 the restaurant was definitely stunning. Food wise, it was alright. We had the fritters which tasted wonderful and the Paella which was just ok. Word of warning: prepare to wait! If you order the Paella like us, you'd have to wait about 20-30 minutes for it to be prepared. Although serving wise, one Paella was already enough for the two of us. It was also hefty with ingredients and not just filled with rice so despite it's price, it was a decent Paella. I'm curious to try the other dishes when i do manage to come back 💖

As a returning customer, I had high expectations for this restaurant based on my wonderful experience during Christmas last year. Unfortunately, my recent visit fell short of those expectations. The standout issue was the prawns, which didn't seem fresh and had an off-putting smell. This negative start significantly impacted our overall dining experience, making it difficult to enjoy the rest of our meal. It's disappointing that this visit couldn't match the excellent impression left by our previous one during the holiday season.
Totally unprofessional approach that practically ruined our New Year’s Eve celebration. After booking online, we received a very misleading email in Catalan (no English or Spanish translation) that l…
