El chocolate desecho buenísimo, con poca o nada de leche. La ración de churros es muy justita para mi, 4 churros , 6 sería mejor. La ensaimada muy buena. No es un local ruidoso. Y los camareros son amables.

We went there to eat Crema Catalana. On the first day we waited for about half an hour, and on the second day around 10 minutes. It’s definitely worth the wait — they make it very delicious and really well. The staff are also helpful and very friendly. If we were staying one more day in Barcelona, I’m sure we would go again :)

Walking in here feels like travelling back to the 1800s: marble tables, floor tiles and those gorgeous original butchery counters are still there. The place has been run by the same family since 1870 and you can feel the history in every corner. Hands-down the best churros and I’ve had in Barcelona. The churros are perfectly crispy outside, light and fluffy inside, and come out piping hot. Dip them in their famous Cacaolat or the ultra-thick hot chocolate and you’re in heaven. It’s literally 2-3 minutes from La Rambla and the top of the Gothic Quarter, but somehow stays more local than touristy (even though it’s packed). Prices are totally fair for the quality and the experience.

Loved the vintage decor and feel of the place. The hot chocolate and churros were perfection as they were not too sweet. The churros were freshly made and not overly oily but rather nice and crunchy but still has a fluffy inside. The coffee was great and affordable compared to other place. The hand and cheese toastie was easy to eat and we wishes we ordered 5 more of them : )

This place feels like a time capsule! We had the best churros and chocolate we've tried in Spain. I also tried the crema catalana for the first time, and while I personally found the cinnamon way too strong, it might just be my own taste. I'll leave it to more experienced crema catalana tasters to judge.

The shop is only open during two sessions and closes in the afternoon. We came back again in the evening — it was packed, but the lady staff was so kind and found us a table since we came because of the great reviews. We didn’t have to wait long, and the desserts were delicious!

What a grand old place, looks like it hasn’t chanted much since 1931, the stately servers waft by in their pressed white smocks, issuing churros, Catalan pie and steaming hot chocolate to the families and lovers and friends hunched over their tables. Reasonably priced, and oh this lemon horchata drink you could legitimately claim to be the very finest of thirst-quenchers on a hot and dry Barcelona evening.

It was literally the best store I’ve visited in Barcelona. First of all it’s not a tourist trap, it’s an old and authentic Spanish cafe with great savory and sweet options. Definitely try the crema Catalana. The staff was very polite and opened to suggest and explain. Lowest prices for good quality products. That’s why most of the clients are locals.

El lugar es nostálgico y muestra con orgullo ser el creador del Cacaolat que ahora encuentras en cualquier bar o supermercado. Los precios muy razonables. Hay que ir con paciencia ya que es muy probable que tengas que esperar un poco para tener mesa ya que hay mucho turista esperando, pero se consigue entrar. Ambiente muy familiar...Recomendable, si señor...!

El chocolate con churros de toda la vida, una tradición para una tarde de invierno perfecta, el chocolate negro y espeso, churros, ensaimadas con o sin nata, la porción de nata un verdadero manjar, croisant, flan con nata, los molindros que buenos, todo está rico y los precios muy bien, en fin de semana se hace pequeño, tienes que esperar la fila fuera para entrar, pero con un poco de paciencia vale la pena.

Llevo años viniendo a este rincon del Raval y nunca me decepciona. El chocolate con churros es de lo mejor que he probado en la ciudad, espeso y con ese punto de amargor que tanto me gusta. Las ensaimadas estan riquisimas, especialmente las de cabello de angel. Me encanta la decoracion original que conservan desde hace mas de un siglo, con esos azulejos y el mobiliario de madera. El unico pero es que a veces hay bastante cola, sobre todo los fines de semana por la manana, pero vale la pena esperar.

El sitio está chulo pero parece más un sitio para turistas. La comida está bien pero no es nada del otro mundo

Buen lugar para probar algo típico catalán, buena atención y muy rápida, los churros estaban súper buenos. Podrían tener la opción de nata dulce también.

This is an old and traditional cafe in the center of Barcelona. They keep all the details and decorations from the past, and it feels so good having coffee inside. The prices are ok and quality also not bad. They became famous because of their milk chocolate in the past and they still have it and even use in as a decoration.

Si quieres conocer donde de originó la receta del Cacaolat aquí tienes su lugar. Está lleno de fotografías y historias de sus fundadores muy curioso de visitar. Los ingredientes son de alta calidad pero es un lugar muy ruidoso y masificado, por la tarde puedes encontrarte una cola de varios metros para poder entrar.

The atmosphere is good and the staff is genuinely lovely, but unfortunately the churros just didn’t hit the mark for me. I’ve had much better ones elsewhere crispier, tastier, with chocolate that’s smoother and richer. Here, the flavor was pretty average. A nice spot overall, but the dessert itself didn’t meet my expectations.

Mucho nombre y poca calidad. Una decepción absoluta. ​Fui en Navidades con mi mujer y mi hija esperando la experiencia que su fama promete, pero fue un engaño total. Había una cola enorme para entrar, así que optamos por pedir para llevar, donde apenas había espera. ​Pedimos chocolate, churros y nata. Lo único que se salvaba era la nata. El chocolate no valía nada: se notaba perfectamente que estaba rebajado con agua, sin cuerpo ni sabor. Pero lo peor fueron los churros; eran claramente congelados de supermercado, una vergüenza para un sitio con tanto "renombre". ​Nos fuimos con muy mal sabor de boca y sintiéndonos estafados. Para quitarnos el antojo, acabamos en una churrería de la Av. Marina donde, por mucho menos dinero, el chocolate le daba mil vueltas y los churros eran artesanos y buenísimos. ​No volveremos. Pagas el nombre para que te den productos de calidad industrial. Nada recomendable.

*****DO NOT VISIT***** I don’t recommend this place at all. First of all, everything started with the grumpy waiters who make face to you, no one even greets you and they handed us the menu like we’re some peasants. The smell from the place and TOILET IS MORE THAN DISGUSTING and it is just unbearable considering you are at a place with food and drinks and you’re supposed to enjoy your stay-just forget about it. We ordered a portion of churros with something that was supposed to be a chocolate but I’m sure it was nothing more than just some cheap pudding mixture that LOOKS LIKE CHOCOLATE but it is not. For this we paid 4 EURO. We left more than disappointed and on top of that, we had some stomach and reflux issues, the hygiene and cheap products are the one to blame. I suggest you just walk past this place that looks like it’s stuck in the1920s.
