Absolutely wonderful service. I ordered the carbonara tagliatelle with mozzarella cheese and sausage. The food came quickly, and was very presentable as well. I was in the midst of adding cheese, when the cap came loose and a mound of cheese fell onto my pasta. When the server came, and saw, I described what happened. She was quick to assist, and expressed sympathy to my situation, even offering to make a new plate as well! I was shocked by this graciousness and was very appreciative of the service. The new plate came quickly. I tried the pasta, and it was absolutely divine, and tasty. Excellent quality, great ambience and awesome service! Highly recommended to anyone visiting Barcelona!

Really nice pasta place with delicious classic drinks. I definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a good pasta meal, and the prices are quite reasonable — not too expensive at all. The only downside was the service at first: the guy at the bar who took our order seemed a bit unfriendly and didn’t really explain how things worked. That said, he warmed up later and was nicer, so overall it turned out to be a good experience for us. Also, they have good tables for outside area. I do recommend!

I visited this place twice when I was in Barcelona, and my partner and I really liked it. The atmosphere is great, and the staff are friendly and speak English. I had the Funghi pasta from the new menu, it was so tasty! If you like mushrooms, this pasta is for you. My partner had the Carbonara, which was also really good, lots of sauce, and we love that you can build your own pasta. Great place, highly recommend!

It’s not a very spacious place, but it’s great, especially with the option to make your own pasta with just a few ingredients. The type of service is something between fast food and a restaurant, but the concept works nicely. The food is warm and tasty, and the sides such as salt, pepper, parmesan, olive oil etc. are placed separately so everyone can add them to their meal. Portions are quite decent except for the starters. The baked pasta/lasagna options seem larger to me and are very good. The service is quick, and the staff is extremely friendly. They have cheap but nice white/red wine by the glass. The restroom is clean. If you’re on a budget but want to eat well, this is a great option.

Delicious pasta, made fresh and quickly. Would definitely recommend coming here. You get to choose how your pasta is made...the type of pasta, the sauce, any additionals toppings you want with it. Makes for a more fun and interesting meal.

i’ve been coming here every time i’m in barcelona, and they never disappoint. you can pick your own pasta, sauce and toppings. the pasta is cooked al dente, just right, and the bolognese sauce is one of the best i’ve ever had. the interior design is also very nice.

I was least expecting to find a great Italian place in Barcelona, let alone such an incredible pasta bar. They offer a do-it-yourself pasta experience where you can choose your pasta shape, sauce, and any extra toppings you desire. Watching the pasta being freshly made in front of you adds a unique touch to the whole experience. I went for the minced beef ravioli in a rich truffle sauce, which was generously loaded with truffle flavor. They also provide parmesan cheese to sprinkle on top, making it even more delicious. The prices are really affordable, and overall, I absolutely loved it. A must-visit for pasta lovers in Barcelona!

Buen sitio para comer pasta fresca a la que puedes añadir distintos ingredientes. Los precios oscilan alrededor de 9 euros por plato. Pasta fresca que se nota que la hacen y que no es para nada industrial. Tienen varios entrantes y otros tantos postres. Especialmente recomendables la ensalada de pollo, la pana cota y la pasta que lleva trufa.

Rico, rápido y en precio. Llegamos tarde y lamentablemente ya no quedaban ravioles de espinaca. Pero por suerte había una pasta al horno con hongos que era espectacular. Los ñoquis con pomodoro (porque era 29 y hay que cumplir 😌) estaban bien, pero no era espectacular, eso era la pasta al horno jejeje

En general muy bien, el sitio por dentro es muy bonito, la atención del personal perfecta, lo que hace que no ponga las 5 estrellas es el tema de música ambiente, a mi gusto algo alta y considero que no era un estilo musical acorde de este tipo de restaurante. Y la pasta a mi gusto algo echa, estaría mejor algo más al dente. La salsa buenísima ! Volveré a venir, precio razonable.

Pedí pasta. No estaba mala, pero venía muy hecha, algo pasada de cocción. La atención correcta y amable, sin quejas. El ambiente agradable y tranquilo, ideal para comer sin prisas. En general, buena experiencia, aunque mejoraría el punto de la pasta.

Macchina Pasta Bar es la prueba de que se puede comer pasta artesanal de verdad a un precio muy económico. Es fascinante ver cómo preparan la pasta fresca en directo antes de servirla. El local tiene un diseño muy funcional y un ambiente joven y vibrante que te hace sentir muy a gusto. Me parece un sitio muy práctico por su ubicación tan céntrica y, sobre todo, por la relación calidad-precio, que es imbatible. Si te gusta la pasta casera y no quieres gastar una fortuna, este es tu sitio. ¡Totalmente recomendado!

He The food tasted good, but the portion was small. I ordered a tomato and basil dish that was described on the menu as being slowly cooked in the sauce, but what I got was basically a simple pasta plate. The flavor was nice, not bad at all, just not as described. The place itself is nice, and if you’re in a hurry and looking for something light and reasonably priced, it’s a good option.

The pasta at Macchina Pasta Bar was enjoyable and freshly made. The seating area is simple and comfortable, good for a casual meal. Service was fine, though a bit more attentiveness and quicker follow-up would make the experience even better. A few small touches in the seating area could also add to the overall atmosphere.

We were here for a late lunch, we had spaghetti carbonara, which was great and spaghetti with truffle, which tasted like spaghetti only with cream, we do not recommend that. They also have aperol and limoncello for a good price. Overall, if you are in a hurry and want to eat well and for a few euros, this is for you.

Fresh pasta in all kinds of variations, from plain with cheese for the picky child, to Bolognese and even Carbonara – everything was quite good, although the kids rated the pasta higher than the Bolognese, for example. My Caesar salad was fine. The atmosphere is very rustic/industrial, somewhat quaint but not very cozy.

This is more of a street/fast food kind of establishment rather than a classical restaurant to eat at. Pasta was good, but I would not say the best. I had real pasta many times and I would not put this place on the top of my list. For money paid - this is the best, very interesting interior design, bit loud music - (which might not be your taste) and buffet style (first order, pay and then you can go sit). If you are looking for a quick brunch for great money, this is the place.

Fui por la salsa pesto de brócoli, y justo no les quedaba. La pasta estaba buena, aunque algo dura para mi gusto. La calidad-precio es muy buena. El servicio es amable y rápido, aunque algo ruidoso (el personal habla muy alto, además, una camarera dio una nalgada a la otra y se rieron tan alto que nos volteamos todos en mi mesa). El establecimiento también tiene bastante ruido ambiental. Y como punto a favor, diré que está muy bien ubicado.

Food in itself was very plain, as far as pasta they still have a long way to go. Staff at the order counter was rude, and we had to wait before she took our order. When we asked for the check she insisted that tips are mandatory, despite the service being far from satisfactory, so we had to give a tip. Would not recommend.

Tuve una experiencia terrible en este lugar. Llegué con mis hijos pequeños y pregunté a un camarero si podía sentarme fuera. Me dijo que sí, pero que tenía que pedir en la barra. No había ninguna espera ni problema, había varias mesas disponibles cuando nos sentamos. Aun así, una camarera (delgada, con mechas rubias en las puntas del pelo) empezó a quitar mis cosas de la mesa sin mi permiso y me trató de manera muy agresiva. Llamó a otros compañeros y todos se enfrentaron a mí delante de mis hijos, lo cual fue muy desagradable y vergonzoso. Nos echaron como si fuéramos culpables de algo, cuando lo único que hicimos fue sentarnos después de haber pedido permiso. Los clientes que iban a ocupar la mesa incluso se marcharon al ver la situación, pero el personal siguió insistiendo. Estoy en shock y me parece un trato inaceptable y vergonzoso.

Fui a comer pasta "sin gluten" y me avisaron de posible contaminación cruzada porque la cocinan en la misma agua. Como soy intolerante, acepté. Sin embargo, al empezar a comer comprobé que en el plato había pasta con gluten mezclada directamente, no solo contaminación cruzada. El resultado: acabé poniéndome malo. No es un sitio seguro. Si no puedes consumir gluten, seas intolerante o celíaco, no recomiendo comer aquí. <Respuesta al dueño> Una aclaración importante, porque aquí se están mezclando conceptos que no son lo mismo. Las trazas de gluten hacen referencia a una posible contaminación cruzada no intencionada y en cantidades mínimas, por ejemplo restos en el agua o utensilios. Eso fue lo que se me explicó y lo que yo acepté como persona intolerante. Sin embargo, en el plato había pasta con gluten claramente visible, mezclada directamente con la supuesta pasta sin gluten. Eso ya no son trazas ni contaminación cruzada: es presencia directa de gluten como ingrediente, algo muy distinto y mucho más grave. Avisar de contaminación cruzada no justifica servir un plato incorrecto ni mezclar productos con y sin gluten en el mismo servicio. Por eso mantengo que no es un sitio seguro para personas intolerantes ni celíacas, y creo importante dejarlo claro para que otros clientes puedan decidir con información correcta y precisa.

On 23 November 2025, at 22:40pm, we took a table on the right as we entered. It was our first time in the city and we were clearly tourists, speaking English with the waiters. They told us that they could only prepare our order for takeaway, which they did in five minutes. We told them we could eat it in five minutes, but they refused. We took our food away and started eating at the outside tables, as can be seen in the attached photo, but they came over and told us that they were closing. At exactly 11 o'clock, they came and started clearing the tables, forcing us to leave. They showed no tolerance whatsoever. Such rude, insensitive and arrogant behaviour towards customers was unpleasant. I think the owner should monitor staff behaviour via CCTV, address any issues with customers and find solutions immediately.
