Santagustina is one of those places that arrives pre-loaded with memory. Last time, it was a golden summer evening, a borrowed dog named Annie, and that particular Mediterranean light that makes even a traffic cone look romantic. This time it’s New Year, winter air, coats still on the backs of chairs, and Annie, much loved, much missed, very much the reason we’re here at all. It could have gone either way. Nostalgia is a cruel seasoning. But Santagustina hasn’t lost its touch. The oysters are, frankly, an act of daylight robbery and yet, damn them, they’re superb. Cold, clean, briny, tasting exactly like the sea would if the sea had its life together. You forgive everything immediately. Eating here in winter strips away the holiday gloss and leaves the bones of the place exposed. Which is good news, because the bones are solid. Santagustina isn’t trading on vibes alone; it’s trading on doing things properly. Coming back felt right. Not sentimental, not forced, just a quiet, delicious nod to a dog who once sat patiently outside while her human had a lovely dinner as the sun light fades.

Santagustina is one of those rare places where everything just works beautifully. The staff are exceptional ; warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. You feel truly taken care of from start to finish. The food is unforgettable. Every dish is creative, full of flavor, and made with clear attention to quality and detail. The grilled squid with smoked oil, asparagus, and roasted garlic sauce was a highlight; perfectly cooked and packed with depth. The ambiance is cozy yet elegant, with just the right energy for a relaxed evening. We left feeling not only full, but cared for and happy. One of the best dining experiences in Barcelona. Can’t wait to return!

Good vegetarian and meat options. We had the cauliflower dish and it was way better than I could explain. The coffee was also better than average, and the draft IPA is well balanced. The setting is calm and the service was very attentive. Definitely recommend for tapas and beverages.

Delicious tapas: we had croquettas of the day (very tender and juicy), sweet potato with lebneh (super good) and delicious ceviche. Service was nice and feeling of the place is very cozy. Loved the place !

6 of us booked dinner on a Friday night. In BCN from LDN for a few nights and here to support Team NZ… but we had no idea how good the food was going to be. Every dish was exceptional and surprising, not from overload but subtlety and style. We won’t pick a favourite, because everything was superb. Thank you.

The best meal we had in Barcelona by a long way. Super service, and the food was spectacular as was the restaurant itself. I would make a point to come back here when we return. Many places in Barcelona were doing Tapas by numbers, this place looked to reinvent a tapas menu whilst maintaining the beauty of what tapas is about. Highly recommended

We enjoyed our meal so much! Upon entering we were greeted promptly and the restaurant was clean. The atmosphere was very inviting and cozy. I ordered an expresso martini and it was delicious. The food was also incredible. You must try the grilled octopus with sweet potato! Rafa was our server and very attentive. Julian was extremely friendly and came to check on how our meal was a few times. Kudos to the whole staff, we would love to come back again!

Santagustina restaurant serves beautiful and amazingly seasoned tapas! We loved all of the tapas. The tomatoes with mint were delightful, the ceviche was to die for, and sweet potato and yogurt was so refreshing! I also recommend the Santagustina spritz! The only thing that bothered me quite a bit while dining outside was the smell from the sewer... it was quite intense at times :/ Still, I highly recommend Santagustina for a delightful meal!

What an unexpected pleasure. Set on a quiet corner of an unassuming street, Julian and the team will look after you. Every thought had gone into to the preparation of the food and it shows when it arrives on your table. The whole lot was superb with service and attentiveness to match. It's Michelin level food at a third of the price. I'm surprised there aren't queues round the block. Definitely worth a detour.

Cozy little bar/restaurant with a nice atmosphere. We ordered four tapas for two people which was a perfect amount. We drank two glasses and two water and got a check for 65 euro. We sat at the bar, which is always nice. The food was extremely good and high quality - the place is recommended. A bit high music, if anything.

Nos gustó mucho este lugar, pero me parece que es más para turistas. Los precios son un tanto excesivos, pero debo decir que compensa con el sabor y la calidad de sus platos. Muy buena atención. El plato de trucha con caviar es simplemente delicioso.

Primera vez que íbamos y la verdad es que me sorprendió la comida para bien. Comimos dentri del local y el ruido de la música y conversaciones era extremadamente fuerte, esta sería la única pega. Por lo que recomiendo que si quieres estar más tranquilo, comas afuera en la terraza. Pedimos la col sin sardina que estaba rica, las bravas estaban muy buenas al igual que la yuca y el boniato a pesar que esta porción era más bien pequeña. Las croquetas de berenjenas no dejes de pedirlas. Otro punto a revisar es que si no bebes alcohol no hay más alternativas que refrescos o agua.

Buen lugar para cenar unas tapas bien preparadas. Cuando fuimos estuvimos muy tranquilos y los platos que probamos nos gustaron. La única pega fue que los tiempos entre platos quizá fue algo elevado.

Great atmosphere in a lovely & charming area with vibes. Seating tables are a tad small but it’s not uncommon. Food is great but it was really too heavy and rich. We wanted to order more items but found ourselves unusually full. We requested not to put any sauce topping in an asparagus dish due to an allergy but the Chef doesn’t want to make any changes to his food. Food pride is real but it is what it is. All the same, a recommended place to come and enjoy what they have to offer. Prices are on the higher side compared to our experiences with other tapas restaurants.

Great food and friendly staff in a charming spot tucked away in the residential part of the Born area. The dishes and drinks are mouthwatering, but after multiple visits to Santagustina, I’ve found it can be hit or miss on some occasions. Definitely a spot to try out for tapas

Great selection of tapas. Good balance of flavours and interesting combinations. Definitely a place to come in the heart of born. We had the braised calamari, burrata and cauliflower, my favourite was the cauliflower. What stood out for us was the fast service of the dishes we chose.

Delicious freshly made tapas and tasty wines. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is well decorated. Definitely worth a visit if you are in town. Prices are quite high so that is something you need te be aware of.

A nice little restaurant situated on a small square. They have some tables outside and inside. We made an online reservation, so got a reserved table. It was small and you had to sit on a small wooden stool without a pillow. Not a problem for us, but it you want more seating comfort I would advise you to ask for that by booking a high table. The food was really good, that also goes for the cocktails. Prices are reasonable. Staff was nice.

Pedimos patatas bravas, risotto y tiradito. Estaba todo bien (algún plato un poco caro para la cantidad), pero cabe destacar el tiradito, que estaba riquísimo. Los camareros rápidos y amables.

Fuimos a tomar una copa de vino porque a menudo pasamos al lado y todavía no lo habíamos probado. Entramos por curiosidad, pero no volveremos. Cuando le pregunté al camarero colombiano si tenían una copa de Sauvignon con un "No" tajante y seco me dijo que no lo tenía. Pedí otro sin problema, pero creo que debería aprender un poco de empatía y proponer opciones si sirven varios vinos como exponen. Las aceitunas estaban muy ricas, enhorabuena. Todo lo demás no lo pedimos por los precios muy caros. La camarera más amable, pero tuvieron el valor de pedir una propina que por supuesto no les dejé.

Bien, pero no me encantó. Comida buena, recomiendo sobre todo la croqueta de rabo de toro. Sobre todo, recomiendo compartir. Los platos individuales eran bastante básicos. El personal fue correcto pero no especialmente amable. La tarta de queso está buena pero lleva queso fuerte, no la pidas si quieres un cheesecake tipo americano.

El local está una plaza escondida del Born, unas pequeñas mesas para 2 o 4 personas, un ambiente tranquilo. Carta escueta, platos originales y variados. Todo estaba muy rico, sobretodo los raviolis. Sin embargo, el precio no se corresponde con las cantidades, es excesivo pagar 13€ por una tapa de bacalao. El agua, a 2,75€ también es caro. A parte, se les olvidó el pan que pedimos.

Local bien ambientado y servicio muy atento. Comida escasa y muy cara, sitio para estafar a guiris en el centro.

Pasé a tomar una cerveza y algo de botana, como soy extranjera no conozco bien las palabras, así es que pedí una cerveza y esperaba que me dieran opciones. Cuando me preguntaron si quería una “cañita” le pregunté cuál cerveza era esa y me dijo que un vaso chico, como fue la única opción que me dieron la tomé. Después llegaron dos personas con acento de la zona y pidieron dos cañitas, pues a ellos sí que les dieron opciones. Honestamente me sentí discriminada por ser extranjera. El precio me pareció excesivo, pedí unas patatas que estaban horribles. La verdad no lo recomiendo.
