This is the only restaurant in Barksdale so the choice to walk in was an easy one! Very friendly and helpful hostess. The pork chops were delicious.

Do yourself a favor: eat here. Had the best taco salad in years: the wonderfully seared ground beef made it. Wouldn't change a thing about the humble country decor or the friendly service. I'll be back!

Great spot! Went on a recommendation from a friend and glad I did. Fresh cut fries, tender chicken. Had to let things cool before you can eat fresh. Will stop in again when down that way.

Downhome friendly feel. Exceptionally good food. And Mary was the only one working but she hustles! The type of place where everyone knows everyone. My mom and I drive 85 miles one way to eat here twice a year. When the bluebonnets come out and when the leaves change and it MAKES the whole trip to eat at this restaurant.

Outstanding service and food!!! Little bitty place with better quality food than anywhere in a big city I've eaten. Definitely a must visit!!

Great Lil place, but alas no fried chicken......

Looks can be deceiving, doesn't look like much from the outside but it's a great place to eat. Chicken fried chicken and grilled chicken were delicious, service was great, especially considering she's working front of house alone. Pricing is reasonable, can't really ask for more.

Looks can be deceiving, doesn't look like much from the outside but it's a great place to eat. Chicken fried chicken and grilled chicken were delicious, service was great, especially considering she's working front of house alone. Pricing is reasonable, can't really ask for more.

Wut Chicken?? Sole reason visting last Friday was for the chicken. We were told by the waitstaff they were sold out, to include chicken burgers... Ok, you can't exactly have a name like the "Chicken Coop Grill" known for the chicken and the reviews and not have any chicken? June 9 to 13th, not exactly a peak in tourism just yet either. We ended up with beef burgers and nachos, not what we wanted to drive an hour for, nor was there any consessions given because they were out of chicken. So, call ahead and ask about availability. Staff seemed more focused on cleaning up and getting the hell out of there at 7pm Friday night. If you're going to run a business, take pride and run with adequate inventory and full customer service til close.

The service was horrendous. STAY AWAY tell every person you know so they don't have to suffer. Update even the pig wouldn't eat it!! If they had a rating of half a star then thats what it needs.
