The food was good but the footfall of tourists created a noisy overwhelming atmosphere, so I was unable to relax and enjoy my meal 😞.

Popped in for a bit of breakfast and a drink before a day of shopping. The staff were friendly, polite and welcoming and the service was quick. The restaurant was kept nice and clean and tidy and the tables wiped with no litter left laying about. The only thing I did notice was the air conditioning wasn't on and it was a bit warm in there. Other than that it's one of the better McDonald's restaurants I have visited around the world and I would visit it again.

Nice big restaurant plenty of seats upstairs and a few downstairs. The service is a bit slow when it’s busy but it’s a city centre McDonald’s that’s expected. There’s a disabled toilet but it’s not kept locked under radar key so it gets abused and the toilets upstairs are pretty gross and stinky.

The food is just as you’d expect from McDonald’s but it’s always very busy, loud and chaotic the workers try their busy but my order took 25 minutes.

Plenty of seating available upstairs and downstairs. Toilets are clean. Staff are friendly to a degree. Tables not so clean, every time I come in I always have to ask someone to clean the table. Good social distancing measures are in place. You can order from the screens or the app from your table. Service isn't the quickest, but okay.

Right in the centre of town, good amount of seating upstairs. Friendly and helpful staff. Not to be eaten too regularly. You will gain an enormous amount of weight! I only enjoy it once a month or so now, and usually just and item or two off the saver menu. Cheap and cheerful. I'm sure the meals are getting more and more expensive. Good for a snack. Apparently one of the hamburgers has got as much sugar in as a cake, so best avoided in general!

Family of 4, but must've been the worst McDonalds I've set foot in for a while. Ordered at a screen as usual, but no receipt. Appeared most if not all were had no paper. On top of that I think someone was just task to clear the orders of the screen, so I was concerned with no receipt and my order had disappeared within minutes of being displayed. Burger a little on the cool side, but chips hot.

Working in catering split shifts mean taking lunch after 2pm.. short 10min ride by train to Bath.. McDonald is a short walk from the station. Good fries if you get them hot. Double cheeseburger and drink. Under 10 pounds. Recent trip to London pub beer price 7 pounds..while 4 cans from shop only 5 pounds crasy.

I’ve eaten here many times and the food is served quickly and is good. If going in the evening particularly at weekends, the upstairs is often closed off, even if busy, leaving a big lack of seating and places to eat your food. Last night, a Friday, I went for food at 1.20am and there was security staff saying they were closing and not letting new customers in, despite the opening hours says it’s open til 4am.

Service is pretty poor and most of the staff look as if they wish they where anywhere else but here. The wait to collect your order was quite excessive but there where plenty of free tables. Food when it was ready was very acceptable but forgetting to add straws and milk for the drinks was disappointing.

Awful place to eat if you have mobility issues, all bar 5 Tables (big enough for 2 people per table) are upstairs, there is no lift, the corridor to the toilet is very narrow, a large built person would struggle to walk in. And with it being Bath city centre it is very busy, all of the time so people blocking the stairs the tills and the ordering screens. On a plus the food was served quickly and got, and the staff were very friendly and helpful

Really large queue to get food, and considering the amount of staff in the food prep and serving area, didn't seem to make any difference. Lack of a friendly atmosphere with all staff looking miserable and over-burdened. Food was the usual quality, but they forgot part of our order, so another trip through the crowd of people waiting and ask of one of the staff. No apology received. Toilets were dirty too with a broken urinal which wasn't cordoned off, so was full. Come on guys these are basics.

"Disgusting toilets" We had food, normal McD stuff, all was fine except the waiting time for the food, definitely a lot longer than usual. Myself and my wife then used the toilets. Well, it was so terrible we both commented about it. Puddles of urin on the floor, toilet bowl filthy, soap despencers empty, and hand dryers not working. We flagged our concerns to the very young female manager who rolled her eyes, shrugged her shoulders and didn't even apologise for the state of her restaurant. Take note McD you need to get this place in order before environmental health get involved........... Some how.......

This has got to be the slowest McDonalds in the UK, hardly anyone working and the people who are just taking their time, no urgency. There was one man who was doing a great job 👏🏻. But even the manager, who I presume was the manger cause she kept bossing people around, wasn’t doing anything.

McDonald's Bath Southgate is regrettably average, which is a shame. The staff have always been friendly and diligent. No concerns there. And my meals when dining in have always been accurate. I echo concerns over speed of service. It is typical to wait up to 10 minutes before your meal can be collected. I'm a ambulatory wheelchair user. Accessible ground floor seating is very, very limited. Only 2 tables in a cramped corner, which often makes the decision to dine-in one of luck. Perhaps the restaurant will consider installing polite signage to indicate these tables best meet the needs of disabled customers or any other customer unable to access the upstairs seating. Likewise an accessible toilet that doesn't use the RADAR key system and instead requires a customer to speak to staff to gain access. If you have to ask for permission to use toilet facilities, are they really that accessible? Odd decision but perhaps allows tourists/overseas visitors access as well? Otherwise good value, and consistent but some areas to improve.

Disappointing Visit – Monday 2 PM Out of water and juice. Upstairs seating was dirty, bins overflowing, sauce dispensers empty. Female toilet had no paper, smelled bad, and was unclean. Table service didn't work. This location needs urgent attention.

The burgers were not fresh, the fish burger had a tough piece of fish and barely any cheese — just half a scoop. The fries were not crispy at all. On top of that, the place itself was very dirty. Would not recommend.

Staff don't wear gloves while preparing food, not a smile or hello, everyone looks like they'd rather be anywhere else.

Painfully slow service with staff aimlessly wondering around rather than helping serve the ever growing backlog of orders. When you do finally get your order it’s regularly wrong, especially if you order a McCafé hot drink and the food always seems worse than at other McDonald’s locations.

If I could leave a review with zero stars I would. The worst experience I have ever had in a McDonald’s. The kiosks had no receipt printer so numbers have to be remembered which wouldn’t be a problem if the wait for food was less than 20 minutes. Staff seemed to have no idea what they were doing, I saw three managers who all looked like they’d rather be anywhere else. One manager was working in the kitchen with long hair, no hat and no hairnet!! Three staff members and a manager were stood to one side having a chat when the place was filled with people waiting for food. The screen that displays order numbers was not working so people had no idea the amount of orders or whether or not they were coming. This McDonald’s is nowhere near the standards that it used to be. Will be avoiding in the future and advising others do the same.

Pretty unsanitary to be honest, no napkins, clean sauce pots or other sundries that weren’t organised, ketchup and BBQ sauces were working and pretty rude staff that got funny when asked about. Tables weren’t much better either. Would avoid if you like cleanliness and good service.

Probably the worst McDonald’s I have ever been to. Always rubbish service from staff, who seem to somehow always make at least one mistake with an order. Food quality is so so, I mean it is McDonald’s so can’t expect 5 star food, but the standard here is far below other McDonald’s usually cold food. The atmosphere inside is always chaotic, and be carefully you don’t get hit by a delivery driver who’s rushing through pushing past people to get food orders. Even if this is the last place open, I still would consider just going hungry instead. Shame McDonald’s management clearly haven’t reviewed this store (or at least with much consideration and attention) as it is well located in the centre of Bath, but such a poor representation of the brand. You can usually expect dirty toilets (if they are even open) and messy tables all over the place. I recommend avoiding this McDonald’s like the plague and go literally anywhere else for fast food in Bath.

Where to start?! Waited 40 minutes for my order which wasn’t right… the frappes were only half done (they hadn’t been blended) … after telling the worker this they then gave me attitude and it took for me to tell them that I know they’re not done because I work in a McDonald’s for them to go and fix them. There was only one member of staff with a hair net on. No aprons in sight. Jewellery everywhere!! What is this? A family barbecue? I’m worried for the hygiene of this place. Upon checking the order we found that a burger and a dip we had paid for was missing. Surely they would get an order right with having 40 minutes to do so? I am shocked at this “restaurant” . I had to wait 25 minutes for a simple double cheeseburger. Once opened the burger had one edge squashed with finger marks, cracked bun and soaked in a disgusting amount of ketchup. Disgraceful service and from the leading brand in 'fast food' you would expect more. Burger binned, money wasted, made me late for my train, put me off ever eating in a McDonald's restaurant again. We asked after 15 minutes where our meals were as the people we were with had their meals already and had started eating. Suspecting our meal would now be cold he requested a refund. Went over to Burger King across the way and ordered a different meal and received food in 5 minutes of order. Minus a mcflurry of course. Mc Donald's in Bath was a shambles no one knew what they were doing someone serving food but next minute sweeping and not washing his hands in-between. Just no delegation or senior leadership, totally out of their depth when it's busy. For a fast food establishment Mc Donald's was anything but that day. I don't understand why they were serving food out of sync of the ordering system.

Ordered something quick before an evening at work. Took so long to be served that the seating area had been closed off by the time food was ready. Security guard was rude and abusive when I tried to sit down and eat a meal (ordered as eat-in on the app) that I had paid for. Had dips etc so not exactly easy to eat in the car. Absolutely disgusted by the way I was treated here tonight. Both upstairs and downstairs seating areas were closed along with toilets. This branch of McDonald's needs to seriously pick its ideas up.

I've been here few weeks ago and I took the Big Tasty Bacon menu, after I collected the food I realized there weren't any bacon in the burger, when I told them, they put two cold pieces of bacon. After I complained for the second time about it, they just took the burger wormed up for few second and gave it back, but it was still the same. In the end I left the disgusting burger in the box without touching it. Today I came again hoping to not have another bad experience but I was wrong. This time it starts that they forgot the burger, after that when they gave me the tasty bacon I checked everything and I realized that they didn't give me all the monopoly stickers. As you can see in the picture the mozzarella dippers, the cola and the ice creem don't have the stickers. At least the girl who was serving me this time has been kind.

Closing times state 4am close so that’s when you lock the door I came at 3:45am to get a hot drink as it’s minus temperature and the door was locked this is absolutely ridiculous and I will take my money elsewhere when I have eaten in the toilets has been appalling hygiene is a big factor in food places the bins always overflowing dirt everywhere I would avoid it

This food did not meet McDonald’s standards at all. I have never eaten such poor-quality food before. 24.11, 25.11 and 26.11.2025 no cheesburgers either hamburgers available. This happened last week aswell. Either it is McDonalds strategy to make customers buy other expensive food from menu either this location managers not doing what they should be doing. Dissapointing. If it happens again tomorrow, me and couple coleagues will give up on their services.

I waited literally 15 minutes for a mayo chicken burger. At 10 minutes I asked a staff to check on my order and he was polite. Then at 15 mins I asked a manager and she looked at me blank faced, no apology, no "pls wait I go check", absolutely nothing and walked away. One of lifes small pleasures is a maccas at the end of a big night. That beacon of hope at the end of a night of shame. However the beacon at this macdonalds was dimmed last night when my order took 45 minutes to be made. A fellow maccas frequented ordered twice and ate their food before I even received mine. All in all I think popeyes is the way forward.

Hands down the filthiest McDonald's I've ever stepped foot, and that's saying something. Dirty tables (all of them), dirty chairs, dirt in all of the corners, and even on the stairs (which were the worst). Oh, other fun points: - No paper in the kiosks so be sure to remember your number after you pay. - Even when you select "for here" on the kiosk, and say the same to woman behind the counter, it still comes out to go. - Waiting 10 minutes for your food allows for everything to go cold by the time you walk upstairs and find the one table that is less dirty to sit down.

I'm not quite sure how a business can legally take your money and then just not make your order, then treat your enquiries about this with complete handwaving, as if this is normal behaviour. It's not- it's theft. Multiple people were just walking off after waiting upwards of 40 minutes to see if any food might actually be served. Surreal

Bun was burnt, well over cooked when made. Meat Pattie was bone dry and over cooked a d the chips had way to much salt on them . Absolutely the worst McDonald's I've had in my life, and I've had a few bad ones

Had pancakes. Always a challenge to eat with the ridiculous knife and fork that they supply, but even with decent cutlery it would have been pretty much impossible to cut through these pancakes due to the outside edge of each one being extremely hard. I couldn't eat them. A complete waste of money.

The machines don't work properly, very poor service, we waited more than 30 minutes for a burger and they were forgetting part of the order. Employees should be kinder, they look like they hate their job. The chair I was in was broken, it wouldn't stop moving The women's bathroom door was extremely heavy, we managed to open it between two people
