Absolutely stunning diner, amazing classic American food, and incredible owners!
We had an excellent dining experience at this establishment yesterday! Lisa provided outstanding service, making our visit even more enjoyable. Our orders included the delicious Egg Benedict, Combo Appetizer, and the mouthwatering Melt. After a refreshing hike, this place truly hit the spot. I wholeheartedly recommend it for a satisfying meal.
What a find! Believe all the positive reviews. This place has fantastic food and a cool vibe to boot. The food is large portion and big enough to share. The best is to order lots of stuff and go for the family style dinner and have a little of everything. Enough food to keep you full most the day. Pancakes, eggs, everything done without a flaw.
The team at Yankee Clipper Diner was so patient and kind to our group of 13. As we were waiting for a couple to arrive who were driving 4.5 hours for our gathering they waited for all of us to order. The waitstaff was super friendly, the food was delicious and we all are all so grateful for their service, especially during peak hours this Saturday. We thank you so much for accommodating our large group. ❤️
The day I visited was great all in all five stars. The only thing I would say was that my server was a bit moody. Maybe he was having a bad day. I don’t know. It was probably nice salt, but it was great.
My family used to have breakfast here every Sunday. Today was the first time me and my mom dined in for a very long time! Lots of familiar faces from years ago still here, I enjoy the familiarity :) Food has improved over the years imo between what we had today and stuff I've ordered from takeout. Today I had French Toast with sausage links and my mom got avocado breakfast wrap, we enjoyed our meals 👍
Everything was delicious and the service was friendly and fast. We had the chipotle chicken sandwich, apple pie, and lemon merengue pie. The lemon pie was alright but the rest was great! I would definitely come back. We spend 34$ before tips.
Yankee Clipper diner is a MUST GO! My husband is from the Hudson Valley so we come back this way a couple times a year, and me being from California, I love going to a proper New York diner. In our years of visiting New York, I’ve been to a wide array of diners with a wide array of quality of food, service, cleanliness, etc. Yankee clipper is a five out of five in all areas. The service is incredible, there is always an owner of this family owned establishment working and they’re there to greet you with a smile and give you recommendations and chat with you. The food is incredible! Amazing comfort food, and also some healthy options. They are also very happy to customize things to make sure that it is exactly the dish that you want. It is very clean, which I think is important for all of us. The floors, bathrooms, etc. are sparkling. Beacon is a super fun town and I love that although it’s getting more popular, this place brings a lot of family charm to the main street. My husband always misses a good bacon, egg and cheese and he had his favorite ever bacon egg and cheese here! 10/10 would recommend to a friend!
We had such a wonderful experience here! Our server Marc was a star of the show. Extremely attentive and helpful!!! Looks like he really likes his job and doing it perfectly. The hostess was also very sweet. We came with a service dog, and it was absolutely no problem, they even offered water for her, which was really thoughtful. The portions are huge (almost impossible to finish!) and everything was delicious, drinks are fun as well! The NY steak was cooked perfectly, and the fact that it comes with two sides makes it an amazing deal, especially compared to NYC prices. The atmosphere feels like stepping into an old American movie, very cozy and authentic. If we’re ever in Beacon again, we’ll definitely come back. Overall, a must visit! Thank you, guys!
This diner was amazing, truly everything you’d want from a classic diner experience. The place was clean, the service was friendly and attentive, and it wasn’t packed or overly loud, which made for a really comfortable atmosphere. The food was excellent, with generous portions that make it well worth the money. Every bite was delicious, and it definitely felt like great value for what you pay. On top of that, the food came out quickly, so there was no long wait. Overall, this diner is absolutely worth a visit, especially after a hike. Great food, great service, and a welcoming environment, it’s the kind of place you’ll want to come back to again and again.
It was a very nice place with a peaceful atmosphere. We began with the soup of the day, Italian Wedding soup, which was delightful. For our main courses, we ordered a Ruben sandwich and a burrito bowl. All of the dishes were excellent.

This was our first stop coming up for a day trip and the food was immaculate. I had a pastrami reuben sandwich and my boyfriend had the pancakes which were so fluffy. My food was 10/10 and we also ordered an oreo milkshake. When I tell you this was the FIRST oreo milkshake that was actually full of oreos we were pleasantly surprised. The servers were very attentive and we got our food within 15 minutes of sitting down. The owner was also there and had a warm greeting for everyone who came in. Definitely stop by if you’re driving up from NYC.

I am not big on diners, but this one is definitely an exception. We had a party of nine and we were all happy with what we ordered. Our server Mark was fantastic! Excellent, attentive service. Can't wait to come again.

We had a good lunch at Yankee clipper diner. Other places had to wait for an hour on Sunday but this place has so many tables and only waited less than 10 minutes. Food was good and the service was good as well.
