This restaurant has a nice, family atmosphere. They have a good selection of foods which are all tasty.

I used to work in this area so I'm quite familiar with the quality of this place in freshness of the food offerings and service from the folk that clean up after us all the way up to management

Haven't been in at least 10yrs. I was pleasantly surprised how clean the facultey was from the seating area to the food area. The food was rotating and looked fresh, some other food items were better then others. I ate too much! For that price, u you can't best it anywhere

this is one of the best golden corral that I have eaten at in a very long time!!! my husband doesn't normally like golden corral because he doesn't like that they don't really put any seasonings in their food. But in my opinion, some places put too much seasoning so being able to add my own salt and pepper the way I want it is the way I like my food to be made nowadays especially now that I am 50 years old. I love the selections. I love the desserts. I love everything about Golden Corral. It's always a wonderful experience every time I eat at this particular one. I have been to some in Texas that were absolutely disgusting, but I've also been to some in Texas that were wonderful. I guess it all just depends on who the cooks are and how much pride they take in their cooking. This one definitely gets five stars for me, though if I could give more, I would.

Omg hands down the best Golden Corral in all of the US. We've eaten at many locations and we've NEVER been to one like this. The food was extremely fresh, delicious, well seasoned. We went to celebrate my nephew's 14th birthday. Golden Corral is his favorite. All of our favorite really. They did not disappoint! The food was fantabulous. The buffet was clean. The front staff was friendly along with the workers behind the buffet. And they even sang him happy birthday! Our server Hayley, though!! She made sure our drinks were full and our table stayed clear. And when my son wasn't hungry at the moment she snagged Travis, the manager, who was very accommodating for our situation. Just one more reason to love them!!! We will definitely keep Golden Corral as one of our birthday rituals in our family! We appreciate y'all!!

One of the best (if not the best) Golden Corral I've been to. The variety and taste of the food is excellent. The restauramt and the restrooms are well kept even with the high volume they have. A good place to stop while traveling. Just off the highway.

They staff was very nice. My entire family stopped on our way back from Louisiana and they seated us in a separate room. The waitress even stayed with us while we prayed! We really appreciated their hospitality. My only complaint would be that the restrooms could've been cleaner.

Christmas shopping and wanted to get in and out. Some of the food that I got was cold (fried chicken and fish) but still tasty. I don’t care for any of the desserts What I actually want to brag on is the young man at the front counter. Very friendly and polite. Where I sat I could see him. I watched while he interacted with every customer. If he wasn’t waiting on customers he was wiping down the counters, filling silverware or straw container. He was constantly busy and with a smile on his face.

Decent enough for a golden corral. Real. Veggies were fine and dandy. Nicely laid out. Odd to get silverware at check-in but it worked. Our waitress was excellent at keeping dirty dishes removed. Wish the desserts were better. Too commercialized and fake tasting. Would return overall.

We looked at reviews on weather to go to Galveston or Beaumont. We decided on Beaumont and was pleasantly surprised. Dining area was very clean along with all of the food bars. Out waiter kept our drinks filled. Everything was so good we look forward to our next visit. I didn’t give 5 stars because I went into the womens bathroom and it was a mess.

Usually pretty good food and clean, especially by buffet standards. If your lucky enough to get Rochelle as your server you will have an excellent experience. Can get busy, we came for brunch today, so it wasn't to busy. We usually come for dinner. Only recommendations are... they need to stop trying to replace lemon wedges with limes for the fish and hold parents more accountable for unattended children at buffet, especially the dessert bar.

This was a great place to eat with my family visiting from out of town. Our experience was very pleasant and the staff was accommodating. They went out of their way to make sure we had a big enough table to fit all eight of us. We went during a very busy time and I am sure that contributed to the food being fresh and changed out regularly for the buffet. This is a very affordable place to eat and there are tons of food options to choose from. They did not offer a military discount but they do regularly support the military by giving out free dining on certain holidays such as memorial day. During our visit I paid for a full buffet but my wife could not eat due to a recent surgery. I explained the situation to our waitress and ultimately management let us leave with a small to go bowl. I was very pleased with their professionalism. As you can see from the pictures I took there were some cross contamination on the buffet but that could have been from so many people going through. They did offer steak cooked to order, a salad bar and several desserts including sugar free options. Overall, very tasty and fulfilling if you are willing to deal with some unsupervised children running around occasionally. Management did address it over the intercom system telling parents not to leave children unattended. Otherwise, very satisfied.

The food is mediocre, but it's a buffet, not a high-end restaurant. The staff manages to keep the lines moving, the food fresh and you drinks from sitting empty, so the service is great for a place like this.

Service was fantastic. Not very impressed with the food. The dessert bar was wonderful. My son wanted probably the only thing that isn't cooked available, which is chicken strips. Chaotic and disorganized. Plates should be available at the beginning and end of each section instead of opposite side of the traffic. Sundays are insane there. I understand that. Possibly need directors of traffic and signage above what's available in each section. I paid $35 for myself and my 8 year old. The server was Stacia and was wonderful

Food was ok, only thing that killed it for me was rude people cutting in front of you. Also a lady was poking the cake to see how moist it was, she checked every item with finger before picking any of them. No desert this round and possibly ever again, I don't understand people.

Clean but was never checked on once to refill pop even though it wasn't busy. Went to salad bar, employee was filling a to-go order and all the back tongs were facing kitchen so a person had to stretch over food to get them. Chicken was hard crusty break your teeth on and was cool like it had been sitting out for a long time. Dessert bar needs to have smaller portions so people aren't destroying the cakes and pies. Most employees were gabbing and not paying attention to customers (again, it was not busy (this was 9/17/24 at about 6pm).

During lunch: The good - the catfish and hamburger bar were excellent. There was a taco bar too. The bad - the cabbage tasted like the city water, intolerable. Golden Corral act your quality. This golden coral was the best from Lafayette to Houston but I was shocked to go today and get charged $19.99 for a weekend buffet. I got broccoli for my younger brother, in the broccoli I found dead bugs. They look to be worms/larvae that died before they grew. We told a waitress who apologized and took the plate from us and showed the manager. A while later the manager came over and explained that he had put a new fresh batch of broccoli out and brought us a plate. In the new plate was once again, broccoli with bugs in it. What upsets me even more is that no announcement was made, probably to not scare people. What if someone was eating the broccoli?

This is one of the worst places to eat. It was $24 per person in the evening and that's with a senior citizen discount. There wasn't too many choices in food that went together. Are waitress was really nice but the only thing that we didn't like was, while we were eating she was sweeping right next to our table and bringing up dust. There were people coughing without covering their mouths. There were people also blowing their nose while they could have gone to the bathroom to do that. It was a disappointing visit. But like it's said... Live and learn. The worst part of the visit was the women's bathroom. Nobody knows how to flush they're 💩? Messy, messy, messy. There is a saying that goes like this... if you leave a public bathroom (or any place) as nasty as the one that was there, I can imagine what your bathroom ( or the whole house) at home looks like. My husband and I won't be visiting that establishment again. And I didn't forget to check some of the items below. I just chose to skip them, due to them not being worth a rating. As a long-time patron of Golden Corral, I have always appreciated the variety and quality of services offered; however, my latest experience led me to question the management and overall service policies in place. During my visit, I encountered multiple issues that detracted me from what should have been an enjoyable birthday dining experience with my family of thirty five people. Firstly, the manager appeared disorganized, inattentive, and rude. He did not properly greet us. Nor was we welcomed the moment we stepped foot into the establishment. Which resulted in a distasteful welcoming encounter. Additionally, my Aunt noticed that several food stations were not adequately stocked or maintained, leading to a less-than-appetizing presentation and cleanliness that is expected from a family-friendly restaurant. Moreover, when I brought some of these concerns to the attention of the management team on duty, I was met with indifference and a lack of urgency to address the problems at hand. Including having the authorities called. This response was disheartening and suggested a disconnect between management and front-line staff, ultimately impacting the overall customer experience. I believe that constructive feedback is essential for improvement, and I hope that this letter provides insight into the challenges faced during my visit. I urge you to review your management practices and staff training protocols to ensure that all customers receive the high-quality service that Golden Corral was once known for. Went in around 12 pm the good tasted like it had been sitting there for hours and taste burnt on several items. The waitress not once came to the table to offer refills or take old plates. The only good thing was the deserts in my opinion.

I am gluten sensitive and was very disappointed at the options available for me to eat. Somehow, they even managed to screw up sweet potatoes and make them have gluten along with so many other vegetables. I never knew it was possible to add gluten to so much food and make it non edible for a lot of us instead of using a thickener like cornstarch instead of flour or a gluten-free spice which there are tons of and don't even cost extra. Will never go back as it is not worth $25.00 a person for me to not be able to eat much of anything. You can make something be gluten-free, and it tastes like it has gluten.

I came in during lunch hours with my daughter, we were upcharged for dinner. Large difference in price. After confronting the manager the next time I was in the manager admitted to the wrong but refused to discount or refund after showing my bank statement with time and price. Watch your ticket, I was ripped off and won't be back.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Golden Corral. During my visit, I noticed a pest issue in the dining area, which is completely unacceptable for any restaurant. When I brought this to the attention of the General Manager Juan instead of addressing the concern professionally, they killed the roach, and also they were rude and dismissive. I will be calling the health department Cleanliness and customer service should be top priorities, and unfortunately, this visit fell far short of both. I hope the owner takes immediate action to resolve these serious issues. DO NOT EAT HERE

The quality, or, lack thereof, for the price point, was disappointing at best. The other guests in my party were equally disappointed with the food. I don’t blame the employees for this unpleasant experience; I blame whatever food supplier this location’s food is provided by. It would be logical to blame poor management, or, possibly, poor ownership, for mishandling the labor load necessary for the upkeep of the back of house, as that’s generally the root of issues such as these. When there’s not enough focus on proper cook time/serving time at a buffet-style restaurant, the food will often be too cold, unevenly cooked, under or over-seasoned, etc. It’s possible that they were understaffed, and that is definitely a possible detriment. Regardless of the causation, until these issues are resolved, I wouldn’t bother stopping in.
