This is my second time in Beaumont and I was close to this location and decided to partake in lunch. I promise you for the price it’s gonna be a lot of food and also be ready to take it home with you. I end up getting the seafood enchiladas if the picture doesn’t give it justice it’s bigger than you think. The cheese is not that bad and parking is pretty easy to get around. There was an Italian place next to it, but it was not open. Good job staff crew.
Awesome seafood restaurant! Food was amazing with great service too! I had the Shrimp Brochette diner, loved it 🥰 hubby had the Red Fish Taco meal, see photos 😊 we’re from northern NY state, will return again next year!
TEX MEX + CAJUN FUSION!? I heard stories of a place based in Beaumont called “Tia Juanita’s Fish Camp” that is doing a fusion I have never come across before: Mexican + Cajun. Story goes that a man named Ricky Martinez opened the first one in 2014 in Beaumont and since then they have expanded with locations all over Southeast Texas. I went to the original location to check it out! The place has “come as you are” vibes with a ton of bright colors and several frozen beverage machines behind a bar. The menu was better than I had imagined with items like Fried Cajun rolls stuffed with shrimp étouffée, smoked boudin balls, fried alligator, Boudin Quesadillas, Blackened Redfish Pontchartrain and some wild looking Cajun seafood enchiladas. You may not visit this place if you are trying to make amazing dietary decisions, lol. Jessica actually found some healthy items on the menu with some searching! The whole concept was just FUN and I found myself wishing we had one here in DFW, somewhere in the area. Maybe that will happen one day! If you haven’t checked then out already Tia Juanita’s is a refreshing twist on Tex-Mex that feels authentic to the blended cultures and cuisines of southeast Texas. Highly recommended!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My fiance and I just moved from Nevada to Texas and we’re looking for a great place to eat. Word of mouth recommended Tia Juanita’s. Our waitress (I think her name was Adrienne) was very kind. Our food came out at a very reasonable time! My only critique was that my Cajun Girl po boy had overcooked shrimp (very chewy) and the bread was soggy, but the seafood gumbo and potato salad were marvelous! We definitely will be coming back!
First time here and definitely won’t be my last!! The server was great he had great suggestions and very knowledgeable. The restaurant was amazingly decorated it had a very fisherman cabin type feel that went with the menu selection. The food was amazing the fried ribs are a must get the nachos were delicious and I love that it was different on mini tostadas, the quesadilla with boudin was delicious. If your out in the area I suggest you stop and get something to eat you wont be disappointed
This is our new favorite restaurant. It is a cajun restaurant with a flare of Mexican or vice versa. They had the best food that we have had in a while. Everything we had was great. My wife and her friend had the seafood platter. This is the first time I have seen a real seafood platter like this in a long time. My buddy had the Blacjened Redfish Pontchartrain, I had the shrimp poboy. For appetizers we had gatir bites and Mexican cocktail. When I say this place was a 10 I am not exaggerating We absolutely can't wait to go back.
The food was amazing—you could really taste the local culture in every bite. The mix of Cajun flavors with traditional Mexican cuisine was unique and delicious. Our server, Angel, was super friendly and helpful. We loved his food recommendations! Definitely a great spot to stop and eat if you’re passing through and want a real taste of the area.
We loved this place! Great music by Rockin Billy the night we visited. A great “hole in the wall” vibe! My son had blackened gator tacos and I had chicken fajitas. We shared boudin balls and spicy guacamole. We were stuffed and the food was outstanding. I had a delicious frozen margarita for $7.99. If we only lived closer I would definitely love to visit again.
Food was great. I had the blackened alligator tacos. I added a little queso to mine. They were excellent. My friend had the "pain killer" cocktail. It was a roasted coconut concoction with an extra shot of tequila, she said it was great, and definitely strong. 😊 We will definitely be stopping in again.
Passing through town trying to out run the latest storm-got into Beaumont, checked into hotel and asked front desk for recommendations for sea food-they said Tia Juanita’s. We were pleased with the humor in the decor and the service-we were sat quickly at a quiet comfortable side table I ordered the 4 piece fish/3 jumbo fish, fried with baked potato instead of fries. The catfish was tender and fresh, the potato was loaded with sour cream and butter as I asked. Hubs had the taco plate and they were consumed so quickly, I didn’t have time to take a picture! 😀 Would have enjoyed one of their frozen concoctions-but we were road tired and had to get back on the road early next morning. We look forward to visiting again next time we pass thru.
Had dinner here last night with my family and will definitely be going back! Our server Sarah was fast and friendly. Our door was hot, fresh, and very delicious! No order mistakes, flavor was incredible. Bathrooms were cleaned (even for changing my baby). Despite the booth area being cramped, we still easily fit a car seat in the booth seat. The table was clean when we arrived (not sticky), the dinner felt private despite many others there. We had; boudin balls, gator bites, friend green tomatoes, shrimp catfish combo basket, baked potato, red fish tacos and steak quesadillas.
Visiting from out of town someone recommended we try this place. We were glad we did because it was really good. The service was very friendly and speedy considering the place was packed. They also had live music so it was a lively family friendly environment. I didn’t take pictures of all the appetizers, but we had alligator bites, stuffed mushrooms, and fried green tomatoes. All of which we enjoyed, the fried green tomatoes were a little greasy. The Seafood Enchiladas were amazing! The drinks were great!!
Loved the food (fried green tomatoes, gumbo, shrimp and grits). Service was great. Place was fun and bustling on Friday night.

We stopped for fuel and decided to try this restaurant. We were very pleased with everything. The service is outstanding and the food was perfect. Well worth the trip.
This is the 2nd location I've tried. Staff was friendly, the menu seemed to have less options for someone who doesn't eat seafood verse the Port Arthur location. The rest of my group has seafood owns and loved it. The portions are a good size. The roast beef po boy was good, the bread was appetite too crisp on the outside making it hard to dip in the gravy. But overall it was a good meal.
Came for crawfish but they weren't serving it at the time. We got two adult beverages. One had coconut around the rim and looked amazing. Mine was a mermaid something and it was a bit tart. They were nice enough to make up a Virgin daiquiri for our youngster but made a tiny stink about giving us a togo cup for it. The food was really good. There's a crab dip bread bowl appetizer that was better than all the food lol I highly recommend it. The service could've been a wee bit better, but I think our server was new. All in all it was a pretty good dining experience. The food came out fast and was tasty. (Except the gumbo that came with my poboy.. not good.) Prices are okay I guess.

Tia Juanita’s Fish Camp restaurant is a short distance north of I-10 in Beaumont, Texas. The menu is a creative mix of Cajun and mexican food. We selected boudin balls for appetizer; yum. The 1…
It's ok....but the location down ok Bolivar is way better. As far as the food we order Derek Chips and salsa and Boudin balls. The Chils and Salsa were good but the waiter forgot the Boudin balls which came after our meal and they just mush and didn't taste fresh. As far as main course I had their chicken and sausage gumbo which is definitely not cook the same as other location it was ok but the others were much better. I probably wouldn't go back to this location but maybe everyone has a difference of opinions.
It's very rare that I review anything when it's not just wonderful but I was really hungry and I was really excited about this place because we're not from here and we did a bunch of research on all the different options that had Seafood in the area. The service was not bad, my server was just new and didn't really have a lot of answers to some basic questions and gave some incorrect answers but everybody has to learn so I give the service a pass with a four even though it's probably worse than that but just because he was new not because he didn't care. The atmosphere was fine there wasn't anything wrong. It wasn't appealing necessarily the way the tables are all sprawled out and just kind of chaotic but I think they have live music on Wednesday Thursday and Friday's and that's probably good so I gave it a 4 star instead of a 3 like it probably deserved. Now on to the food, it was just okay. It wasn't necessarily bad it just was very Bland I got the catfish and fried shrimp with french fries and it was just very very bland and boring. I asked for some seasoning salt and that helped but there's just no way to get seasoning inside of something fried as good as when you do it before you fry it. Everybody was pretty nice and again it wasn't bad it just wasn't great. The price for 6 fried shrimp and three pieces of fish and french fries and a coke was only $18 including tax so the prices aren't outrageous. If I lived in the area I would give it another shot but because I don't I definitely won't.
We were driving from out of town and decided to have lunch at this spot, after seeing great reviews. Upon entering Tia Juanita’s, the exterior gives off an energetic and inviting vibe. However, the hostesses and waitstaff never offered a smile, which made the customer service feel a bit lacking and less welcoming. We did not have to wait long for our food. I ordered a fish po’ boy, and my husband chose a shrimp po’ boy smothered in mozzarella cheese, labeled as a Cajun po’ boy. While the bread was delicious, the Cajun flavor was a bit underwhelming. The seafood gumbo was okay, though the roux seemed slightly burnt, and the potato salad was tasty. The presentation didn’t quite meet the hype. Overall, it was a mixed experience.

This use to be my go to spot for oysters. A few months back I took my disabled mom there to have a nice meal. The hostess wasn’t at the stand and we sat ourselves after waiting for some time. The food was great and service was fine. Left the restaurant just to get a fraud alert from my bank saying my card was being used. I left my card on the table after paying. My mom was in a wheelchair so it’s fair to say I had alot on my hands. I called and spoke with the manager Andrea and told her what happened and basically I was told that I was lying AFTER she informed me that my card was placed in the safe. I asked for cameras to be rolled back and conveniently there were none. So you’re telling me that my card couldn’t have been used from being picked up on the table and placed in her hands? I actually used to work with her at Ralph and kakoos but in that moment she acted like she didn’t know who I was. Kinda made me suspicious of her, I will never go back and that’s makes me sad because that was my go to for oysters. I guess I’ll have to drive to the Port Aurthur location. You all have lost a loyal customer.
