Uncle Henry's Hot Tamales

OMG...So Good! I got the link on a bun. Was very tasty and would definitely get again. It tasted homemade, so was greasy. But I loved it. You must try the bbq sauce. I got it on the side and dipped it. This was my 1st visit. I visit Beaumont weekly for work. Looking forward to next visit to this gem.

This is a little small drive thru place, sort of like a food truck. Food is good and service is fast. They have good tamales, chili, boudain, links and other items, typical Beaumont food. The only item I would stay away from is the cracklings. To me they are hard and over cooked.

Husband enjoys their nachos. And I enjoy the fact Uncle Henry still makes homemade links. Old school style...I grow up on those kind. A sausage on a bun DOESN'T compare.

I'm not big on tamales normally. But loved these. My husband loves tamales and said he loved these and wished we bought more.

The best place for cracklins' really good tamales and chili is lip smacking good. The only negative thing I have to make is they're not in Jasper. Everyone working there are so friendly and fast. It's mostly drive through but they do have a walk up window. A party in your mouth.

My daughter and I were craving a chili cheese Frito pie and I am so glad I came across this place. Extremely satisfied, service was great and so worth the price I definitely recommend the Frito pie I can't wait to try the rest of the menu😁

Henry’s has always been consistent with their quality and customer service. The reviews saying the food is greasy are likely out of towners that aren’t familiar with the establishment bc Henry’s is a fave in the community and has been for decades.

Tamales are OFF THE CHAIN but they're a little pricy... $9.00 per dozen but I'll be honest, they are worth it!!

I am giving this five stars for what it is, and not what it could be. What you get here is a great place to get some of the best cracklings you will anywhere. These are the best you can find, and they ask a small amount for such tasty treats. I wish that I could get these where I am now. One of the things I miss of Beaumont. Get them and enjoy them when you are in town. They are great.

I’m from Louisiana and working in the area. I’m a major boudin aficionado. And secretly a tamale aficionado or try to be. This hole in the wall tamale place absolutely did not disappoint. The tamales are incredible juicy and so much flavor their the thickness of about a nickel but so worth every bite.

I’ve been coming here since 1999, and the chili has always been top-notch comfort food — consistently great for years. Their boudin is also very, very good. They’re well-known for their homemade cracklins and tamales too, and they never disappoint. A true longtime favorite!

Baby!! I wish I had a photo to show yall the size of that Smoked Boudain but, Baby, I ate it up! 😅 Delicious flavor and I love the welcoming and quick service. It’s packaged just as it should with that downhome touch! Will be back again. ❤️❤️❤️

This is in my top 3 places to eat in Beaumont. I come here all the time and I recommend it to people all the time. I've never seen any sign of uncleanliness. None of the staff have ever been unpleasant in the slightest. Everything is quick and efficient. They have probably the best cracklins I've ever had. I get them all the time. Their links are some of the best in town. This is also the only place I ever order chili from. Their prices are more than fair. I can't give this place enough complements, seriously.

We kept seeing this place when we would go to Home Depot, and we kept missing them during their business hours. We finally ended up in the area when they were open. We weren't sure how we would like the food, so we got a 1/2 a dozen tamales and left. We ate them in the gas station parking lot next door to them. We enjoyed them so much, we went right back and ordered a full dozen of the tamales they are unlike anything you've ever tasted. You have to not think of a Mexican food tamale. This is a soul food tamale. And they are amazing. We ate there 3 days in a row because their food tasted like someone's grandma was in the kitchen in the morning, making it. Highly suggest the smoked Boudin, the Frito pie, and Chili dogs! The chili is something you can tell is NOT from a can! We will be trying every item they have! Waiting for them to have cracklins when we go. They are always sold out when we are there. If they weren't 30 minutes from us, we'd probably eat there every day, gain 100lbs and not even care!

this place is completely unassuming and completely delicious! we got tamales and ribs. the tamales were fantastic. they’re a little small so don’t be scared about buying a dozen or a half dozen — 6 is probably a full meal unless you’re particularly hungry. the ribs were fall-off-the-bone delicious. sauce was alright but honestly they didn’t need sauce! prices were SUPER fair. 2 orders of ribs and a half dozen tamales was $20. the staff are very lovely and sweet. if you’re in town, definitely stop here!

Disappointment is not even a strong enough word for how I felt about the tamales we purchased today. I am 61 years old and I have had many tamales in my lifetime. In fact, some of the best tamales was in San Antonio; but I have tried some in other places and at least they have been edible. The tamales we purchased today actually had a decent flavor, but I could not get past the fact that they fell apart before I could even get them out of the corn husks good, they had a funky color to them, they were extremely mushy (the texture was horrible), and I had grease that had run all down my dress in our short drive home. I am not one to waste money, so I am glad we only got one dozen because there is only one place for these tamales and it is in the trash. I will not return to ever purchase anything else from this place. I will give them an A+ on service. They greeted us with a smile, checked us out fast, and was very pleasant throughout our transaction.

1st time buying crackling and last $6 for 7 pieces of soft crackling inside plastic zip horrible crackling never again Louisiana here I come get my money worth...

They selling tamales with no salsa and they are sorry to say not good at all covered in grease and it's mostly what tastes like just taco meat.

Worst place I've ever had food from. The sausage seems to be homemade, which sounds good, but it isn't if the people don't know how to cook. The casing is very loose and stretchy, hard to bite or even cut. Feels like gay cannibalism. I'd rather they be lazy and sell Zummos like every other place. The tamales are just corn husks and meat paste (like the inside of the sausage), no dough or masa. I really recommend passing this place up, unless you'd like to try post-apocalyptic food.

I got a dozen greasy and mushy tamales. I'm not sure where the pork was in all the soupy massa, so I can't tell you about the flavor. I've never seen a tamale that was open ended on both sides.

Disappointed overall. The tamales were very greasy and NOT like traditional tamales at all. They don't seem to have any masa and are just filled with a mushy meat/cornmeal mixture. Flavor wasn't great either. I won't be returning.

I am from San Antonio. And i miss the food from there. So for the first time in 3 years i decided to go to Uncle Henry's. I wish i had stayed home. The link was awful and the tamales were so mushy. My next trip to San Antonio, i will be stocking up on tamales and make a stop at Davila's, lulling, or Gonzalez for some real hot links. The staff was super friendly at Uncle Henry's! A complete disappointment. They smelled delicious, looked delicious but to my surprise they were in a plastic Ziploc bag which is a big no no when it comes to storing cracking. They were soft and gummy. Just gross and complete ignorance on how to store crackling to be sold. This was a complete disappointment for me. Anyone that's a Cracklin person knows once crackling are done and cooled they should be placed in a paper bag to keep them from getting soft and mushy. The paper bag keeps them fresh and crispy. Best crackling Ive had here thus far is at the fair at Ford Park with Southern Fried Krackling . They know how to do it. So if you looking for good crackling Uncle Henrys aint the place to go. SMH

First time experiencing rudeness. Personally it only takes one time. Was trying to order and was not giving a change to order. I found the light skin older lady to be very rude. After work.. a bad spirit over my little nachos is the last thing I need.
